Drunken Donkey

I hadn't been to The Donkey for a while. Went in search of crawfish but they didn't have any. However, they had this amazing boil instead!! It had crab legs, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, corn and mushrooms with Cajun butter. It was so good, and reasonably priced!! Our service was with a smile and I had a great bloody Mary. Pardon the pic, I started digging in before I realized I should have a pic!!

Although the restaurant was half occupied, most of the bar was taken. I was fortunate to find a seat by the far end... with the taps in clear view. There was a standalone aromatic humidifier which started blowing in my direction. Being the first Sunday of the new year, I was equally surprised and disappointed the only Sam Adams was the Oktoberfest. This time of year, I expected to see the Winter Lager. Unfortunately, the keg had run out. As a second choice, I went for the Yuengling Lager. Something seemed wrong when .the glass was filling up with foam. Eventually, the bartender was able to get the glass properly filled.I went for the classic cheeseburger with sweet potato fries. Given the choice of mayonnaise or mustard on the burger, I went with the latter. Half way through, the bottom bun started to tear. Fortunately, it had held by the time I finished the burger.The sweet potato fries tasted great as I chose salt instead of sugar. Fortunately, I had the beer to quench my thirst caused by the salt.

Wow, just wow..... I never expected to walk into a bar and find an attentive bartender like the one that I had and even came by the table at least five or six times. Usually you have to go to the counter but this lady was on top of things. This works for it to visit on December 15. 2024I was looking for the Washington Redskins game and surely enough it was on the television and she pointed to the back where there was a table by itself with the Redskins plan so we sat there looked through the menu. I noticed I had crawfish but it's december, who has crawfish in december? I asked her about it and she said that because of the abnormal season last year that they are large this year and that they probably have about 5 lb left. I ordered 2 lbs because of the price you told me was $8! Now crawfish these times are getting ridiculous outside of Houston which I noticed are like 9 10 $12, it's okay I don't need crawfish that bad I'll just wait till I get back home. They came out and they were a good medium spicy. Definitely wanted more but had to save myself for dinner later. Had the whiskey and Sprite and I was thinking if it's under $6 it's recently priced a bar and when the tab came to find out it was only $4! Definitely very reasonable prices here and service. This place will probably fit about a hundred people and it seems like the patrons seem to mind their own business and don't start routiness as you might find in some other places.I noticed all the good reviews here and they are pretty much on point with this, definitely worth coming back to! Parking is ample

This Review is mixed. Food. GoodBeer. Meh. Seemed like carbonation was off. I had a stout, bock and a helles. Service. GoodAmbiance. Super loud. I've been to a couple drunken donkey locations and had a good time. But that was years and years ago.I feel like the vibe has changed. If you're really into sports this place has tons of TVs and Plays one of them on max volume. Sports people really seemed like they were having a great time and were cheering!I was wanting to hang out with friends from another state that came to visit and we could hardly hear each other. So. If you're into sports this might be a great place to watch but to socialize you might want to find a more mellow place.

This place has awesome food. We went 3 weekends in a row and every time the food was great . The nachos, donkey balls are exceptional . No pictures of those. The Catfish is more like Chicken strips, but taste great. Their fries are amazing and the grill cheese was also fantastic . I added egg and bacon to mine. We probably won't go back because the last time we went one of the people with us was really drunk, we weren't. They cut us off, mainly my wife and the really drunk one. I told the manager i was driving, but that didn't matter. After we convinced him that my wife wasn't drunk he agreed to make her another drink. But, our friend called him an ass hole so, he made us leave. But my wife should not have been cut off.

Kat and Zan are incredible - they truly made the experience unforgettable. A local recommended closing your eyes and picking anything off the menu, and he wasn't wrong. The food was fantastic! The vibe was just as good, with games on all the TVs and great music in the background.

Ordered a Long Island. $10 for a glass full of sweet n sour. Instant acid reflux. Definitely do not recommend. I have GERD. All I drink are long islands. When bartenders skimp on the actual liquor and replace it with sweet n sour, it triggers my acid reflux. They're definitely a no go for mixed drinks if you want your moneys worth.

Chance, makayle and chrissy are great and will treat you right. we where here for a few hours and the seevice to wveryone was amazing!!! I definitely recommend coming in and goving the place a try!!!!

Cool bar with great food especially the wings and burger. Awesome customer service as well. Seems like the outside set up would be nice too

this place has great food and great staff. our first time here and we will be back. Thank you Anita and Tiffany for a great night. We really needed it.
