Ice skating is expensive everywhere, so if you're planning to go, just get over that before you leave the house. We've been to several malls for skating, this rink has the cleanest ice! We went during the day, so it wasn't crowded at all. The rink was well kept, so skating with a beginner was made easier. There are also experienced skaters there and my daughter enjoyed watching them. Overall, staff was friendly, facilities were well cared for and we look forward to going back. *It is tucked behind some other businesses, so don't miss it!

First time here actually never knew this was back here, kind of hidden behind Braums. They since changed the name to children's medical I believe. Came in for a birthday party, the place has two rinks when you come in red rink is to the right and the blue rink is to the left. When we came in some kids were practicing hockey and then maintenance came out to resurface the ice. It's cool that the place offers buckets to assist the kids who were not able to skate on their own. If course the restrooms were small so I suggest the place is a hockey rink mostly so I didn't expect the place to be excellent. I did not see the picing since it was a birthday party and they paid. Seems reasonable though for the.rent of the skates.

Attended a birthday party and the kids had a blast! This was my daughters first time ice skating so they were able to provide buckets to there height to take on the ice and let me tell you she loved it! She's not one who wants to risk getting hurt so since the buckets are big she was able to prevent herself from falling quite a few times. They did only have one person hosting the party of over 30 people that were on the ice so kinda felt bad for him having to constantly go help kids who fell down. They definitely could of used atleast one more person

Horrible as this video will show all. Dr. Pepper "Frisco" against Dr. Pepper "Richardson". The violence was so bad from Frisco that the excuse was "Our refs are learning". So one of our players had to take a trip to the hospital because of a sucker punch at the end of the game during the handshake. Our team was beat to a pulp with only one sub but won on the score board. This was horrible coaching by Frisco and by many standards these penalties are causes for majors, ejections and suspensions for a sucker punch at the end of the game. Richardson did absolutely nothing. So here in the video link with who is responsible and who did nothing. This is a wreck league where kids are to have fun and learn the game. https://youtu.be/eIYg7_4rTk0

Dr Pepper Star Center bought the old Ice Training Center so you'll mostly hear people refer to this rink as "ITC". There was some slight renovation that happened when they took over. They relocated and built their skate rental desk and got rental skates which they'd never had before. I'd assume that this means the rental skates they offer are probably in the best condition since they're all new.The locker rooms here smell vile. All the time. They painted them recently but nothing covers up the smell of smelly hockey boys. They did finally add stalls to the restrooms but you'll never find them flushed unless you happen to be lucky and come in after they've just been cleaned. The locker rooms are also very small compared to most of the rinks, so your whole team may have trouble fitting inside. As far as spectating goes, they don't offer the best seating. If you're going to watch someone play hockey, Plano is much nicer for that. Richardson wasn't really designed with spectators in mind. During the summer, one of the rinks is usually melted and used for grass sports. It's frequently one of the hotter rinks in the area since you can feel hot air blowing on you in various spots on the rink. They offer a women's only league (all skill levels welcome) on Sunday nights. Games are at 6pm and you can come and sub any time as long as you have a USA hockey number and cash! New players and subs always welcome, come join us!

Drove 2 fucking hours here from Waco for Pick up Hockey. They turned me away saying they couldn't take me because of to many people signing up online. After explaining respectfully the 4 hour round trip I'm making to just be here they smiled and told me they will make no exception for me. They weren't even sorry for the major inconvenience. Never in my 15 years of playing the game have I ever heard of online signups. It has always be show up and skate. If there's over flow you use an other sheet of ice which in this case was obviously not being used. It should be first come first serve not reservations. Fucking disgrace to the game of hockey.

Loved this place. Decently priced and my kids loved it. They could use more public skate hours.

Smallest, most stripped down hockey rink I've seen in DFW. No concession stand at all. Only 3 vending machines, 1 has hockey items and the other 2 have drinks. Both with drinks are out of order. The team rooms are barely big enough for a whole team. Honestly, the only positive thing I have to say is that the building is clean. Aside from that, I'd rather play in any other rink in DFW.

Do not ever through a birthday party here!!! You don't get a birthday party room, you get small corner with two benches and six tables. It doesn't have disability access and you will cram people into a cold corner while violating multiple fire codes!! What a joke. Nobody will help you get set up, help you on the ice or help you with the party. You don't even get a table to put the cake on. You get a bunch of lay teenagers looking at their phones and annoyed to ask you to help them with a party that you paid hundreds of dollars for. We didn't even get on the ice for 15 minutes into the party because we were standing around waiting for someone to tell us it was time. Nobody came and told us anything until it was time to get off the ice, and then they were very punctual and forceful. Worst idea ever!!!
