The casamigos lemon drop was delicious but the service was so backed up I walked up to bar and got it myself and paid for it there.

DJ's Steakhouse is a whole vibe! I went there on Sunday, October 21 to celebrate a birthday and the food, service, and upbeat ambience was next level.I will definitely be back soon!

Heard about this place from an Instagram post so decided to check it out. The vibe is cool, it's a mix of a lounge and restaurant, definitely doesn't feel like a traditional steakhouse but still upscale. It's kind of loud with music and hookah is present. As far as the food, no major complaints. Everything was fresh and seasoned fairly well. The steak was probably the least seasoned, it think it could've faired better with a coarser salt. It tasted like they put it on but it cooked off. Sides were great, yams, dirty rice, and I got lemon pepper wings to go. The Cajun Shrimp Pasta was ok, only 4 sprigs of asparagus as a side. The cornbread with the cinnamon butter was a hit! I'd come back again and try some more of the menu out for sure.

DJ's Steakhouse is a soul food steakhouse located off Midway, in Addison, Texas. It's in the same parking lot as J's Burger and Wingmac. I mention this, because I drove right past this place as the sign does not stand out. My party of three arrived at 1700 on a Friday for Happy Hour. We didn't realize it until we arrived, that they open right at 1700, but that wasn't an issue. They were ready and available to serve us when we entered. The Happy Hour consists of various $5 drinks and appetizers. I was skeptical about going here due to the inconsistent Yelp reviews, but I decided to give it a try and I have no regrets. From the moment we walked in the door and sat at the bar, the staff was friendly and personable. For appetizers we shared the jazzy wings, spicy parmesan shrimp, pork chop bites, catfish bites, nachos, spinach artichoke dip and the jazzy shrimp. My favorite appetizer was the jazzy shrimp. I don't care for sweet drinks and planned on sticking with my usual drink of kettle one on the rocks with lime, but I decided to try the $5 apple martini so that I could mention it in my review. The martini was perfectly made and they weren't stingy with the liquor.Ignore the negative reviews and check it out for yourself. We had an amazing experience at DJ's Steakhouse!!

.... I am so disappointed. The reviews are true y'all this place is a mess. Literal Joke. We came during their Happy Hour that they are promoting. Asked our waiter if it was still going on he said a different timeframe than was adversited. THEN came back and told us a different timeframe (but included the time we were there). Then we asked what was on the menu and he had no idea, went to try to figure it out and came with notes on a pad but no actual menu. We ordered and the food was blah. Drinks were bad y'all we left our drinks there and you know that's a no no! They have to do better, and this is NOT a steakhouse.

Guess we came on a good night because our server Erika was great. She made good recommendations and was friendly. Inside is classy but casual and I enjoyed the music and setup. Food overall: 5/10 (based on what was ordered)Boneless ribeye: 4/10 decent flavor, nice portion size but it came out cold. The steak was ordered medium but of course, reheating it made it more on the well done side.Shrimp and chicken pasta: 5/10 nice portion, shrimp were good but it lacked flavor. There was hardly any chicken the pieces I had, weren't seasoned well. I enjoyed the garlic bread that came with the pasta.Peach cobbler: 7/10 I was glad to hear they had this because I've seen the reviews where they were out. Recommend they serve this with ice cream. It had great flavor, wasn't too sweet and the crust was delicious.

We came for Sunday brunch! The outside is in a small shopping center and looks unassuming from the outside. Once you step in, the décor is black on black. Super trendy inside. Our waiter ( something biblical,Judah, starts with a J) PHENOMENAL, attentive and accommodating! Stuffed turkey leg with greens!! Somebody's GREAT grandma cooked that leg and greens! It was falling off the bone good and the greens were better than my grandmas!!! Oxtails and rice-5/5 succulent, juicy, fall off rhe bone and very flavorful. Not with your typical gravy. Even the rice was seasoned. Mac and cheese - GOOOOD! Not as firm as I would like bur ZERO complaints. 10/10 all around!

Visited DJs this past Friday with a friend to try out their Happy Hour seen posted on their IG. We were seated immediately by the host in a round booth (it was just us 2 so a table wouldve been better) with a window behind us (should have the curtains closed for a more intimate vibe). We asked our server about their happy hour which she barely had knowledge of & just gave us an idk maybe this or that speech. We even showed her the flyer on their IG & got the same response followed by let me ask my manager. Eventually we just ordered 2 drinks, catfish bites (literally 4 small pieces) & their shrimp creole turkey leg (very tender BUT lacked flavor in the seasoning of the dirty rice). Throughout the visit, we noticed the expectations of not only us but the business as well was very off. They ask for a certain attire but 90% of the patrons were dressed very down, they present themselves as an upscale steakhouse but the decor gives "we still figuring it out". Also, what steakhouse do you know has a DJ? The music was so loud we could barely hear each other. I mean to each their own, I just think there is room for improvement Alex. Reasons for knocking off 2 stars: 1) Every employee should know the specials, events & menu changes at all times. There should be a sense of consistency vs just saying "IDK I'm just the host" or passing the buck to off to someone else. 2) The ambience of the restaurant gives very "boujee ghetto"-- in no way shape of form does it give upscale steakhouse like one would expect. The flower wall? TAKE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! The decor was just off & they should close the booth curtains vs having the patio & everyone else looking at your backside.

Upon arriving there is valet service but you can find parking in the parking lot if available. I met my friends for a birthday dinner, they were waiting at the bar for us. I'm guessing we arrived during the middle of shift change because we were not greeted by a host but the general manager sat us. He was very knowledgeable and gave good recommendations for appetizers. The jazzy wings were good, I was expecting spicy so that was a let down. The portion of the pork chop bites could've been a few more but nonetheless it was good. The drinks underperformed. The entree of fish, shrimp, and fries were 4/5. We did notice dust being collected at the booth we were sitting in as well as dirty plates at the table. Overall a decent experience.

Stopped by here Friday night when I got to Dallas. Easy access with ample parking. Nice ambience inside. The hostess was nice upon entering. It's divided in half one side the bar area and hookah lounge area and the other side dinning. They have multiple tv screens on both sides which is a plus. A DJ who was playing hit after hit. My server (Devrick) was awesome. Very knowledgeable of the menu, friendly and helpful with suggestions seeing this was my first time. I purchase the crab cake and their mashed potatoes. The crab cake was a little on the salty side however the mashed potatoes were delicious. I would come back and the other items on their menu and enjoy the atmosphere.

Wow! What a GREAT place for EXCELLENT southern food! Oh man, the oxtail and the stuffed pork chop were off the hook! The sweet potatoes side is like a well seasoned pie without the crust. Amazingly flavorful and tasty! The greens.... The cabbage.... Dang....If in this area and you want soul food that's perfection, come on by!
