DFW Surf

Tyler is fantastic and thought both my daughter and me to wake surf. Love him! If you want to learn to wake surf or throw the rope, you must try him!

We did the Paddle & a Pint guided tour for a birthday party this past weekend and we had so much fun. Our guide, Andra was so fun and patient with our silly group. We got tons of great pics and had a wonderful time together.

I had so much fun! With COVID it can get hard finding safe outside activities. The staff were great at making sure we were trained for using the kayak or paddle boards before getting in the water.

Been a member for over a year now and my first review still stands. Outstanding club, friendly staff, great members, equipment and facilities are top notch. Availability has never been a problem. Been to several outings and upgrade classes and all were fun and enjoyable. Hopefully if Friday night fireworks returns next year to grapevine so will the fireworks paddle tour. Was hoping to start wake surf lessons this year but it will have to wait til next year.

My husband and I rented 2 kayaks from DFW Surf on Lake Grapevine this past Saturday morning. We easily scheduled and paid for a 2-hr time slot right on their website - it couldn't have been easier. We showed up a few minutes before our scheduled time, signed a waiver, they walked us down to grab the kayaks, and off we went! The kayaks were in great shape and we had a blast. Offered free cold bottled water when we were finished as well. We will be back for the SUP lesson for sure!

Their company was easy to find, right off Oak Grove, situated at the base of the parking lot next to the marina. A group of pals and I were able to rent 4 paddle boards without making any prior reservations, though if you have a larger group, I recommend calling ahead to reserve your gear. The rates were reasonable- $25/ hour for the paddle boards. You can leave your car keys in lockers that are watched by the staff at all times. Byron gave us a little tutorial, hooked us up with fanny pack life preserves, and we were on our way! The sectioned off area is bordered by the boat dock to the left, but there was plenty of space to paddle around on the right. Byron and the other boys were super nice and hospitable. They even offered us ice cold water after we came back. I highly recommend renting from them!

Friendly service, too much upselling. I don't mind being offered a water resistant cell phone case, I definitely appreciated being able to get my dog a life jacket, don't get me wrong. But when I say I don't want a year long membership multiple times to the point of a needing to awkwardly just walk away from the conversation, you've crossed a line the line good service to pushy salesman who won't take no for an answer. Otherwise the prices and rentals were good quality.

Nice, clean building, attentive staff and well kept kayaks. I like that the kayaks are the type you sit in with back support (has a back). Some kayaks you sit more on top and do not have any backing. DFW Surf also has lockers to store your wallet, purses, etc., while you are on the lake. The building also has restrooms. Love the area surrounding the kayak building.. nicely groomed, clean and has seating areas and a small covered place to sit. We really enjoyed our day. Definitely will return.

Rented twice two weeks apart. Both times service was excellent, very fast and helpful. The person who helps you to start off was the perfect person. They explained a quick overview and then helped us push off. Great experience! Will return again :-)
