DeRa Coffee

The coffee at DeRa was unmatched! They had a chill environment that was busy, but never got too loud. The woman who took our order was very helpful and asked if we needed suggestions. The Spanish latte was so good! (And I'm not one to drink coffee). Their chai was also yummy.

I've been wanting to try this place ever since I saw them on D-magazine. I finally went on a Saturday around 4 p.m. The place was pretty empty, with just a couple of customers standing in line, trying to decide what to order. They don't have much of a paper menu; you choose desserts and foods from the display cases, and the drinks are listed on the menu. The interior is pretty spacious with plenty of seating available. The staff were super friendly and helpful with their recommendations. There were free food samples by the pickup area. I ordered a d-stachio latte, a pistachio cannoli, and a konafa pistachio choco bar. I also picked up a free sample of their raspberry turnover (I think that's what it was). The latte was okay - pretty sweet, with small pieces of pistachio mixed in, and it definitely had a good flavor. The nuttiness of the pistachio really came out after the cream settled a bit. The raspberry dessert was really good - sweet and had a strong raspberry flavor. The cannoli, unfortunately, was pretty bad - the cream was way too sweet, which completely overpowered the pistachio, and the cannoli shell was just wrong. The choco bar was also pretty bad - overly sweet and incredibly pricey for the subpar flavor.I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the buzz.

ORDERMatcha Latte - the Matcha latte is very milky and sweet. It doesn't really taste like Matcha and the color just shows how much milk they put in compared to matcha. The drink itself isn't bad, but it just it's not a representative Matcha (tastes more like sweetened milk)VIBES There is seating from high seating at the window as well as several smaller tables with two seats each. There's a nice green and wooden aesthetic to the place and it's pretty clean and modern looking overall.SERVICE Service is great! Very friendly and quick to get drinks out!

Got the de Ra latte and the pistachio latte! The pistachio latte honestly the best one I ever had! I usually don't like pistachio lattes but this one hit. They have their own pistachio milk they use. Both lattes are so creamy!

Review for DeRa Coffee - A Taste of Yemen in Dallas DeRa Coffee is a fantastic Yemeni coffee shop that I make a point to visit every time I'm in Dallas, even coming all the way from LA! Their *DeRa coffee* is amazing - rich, smooth, and full of flavor. Both my mom and I really enjoyed it, and it's clear why it's such a popular choice here.We also tried some of the pastries, which were pretty good. The *pistachio cake* stood out as a favorite with its unique flavor and perfect touch of sweetness. The shop itself is spacious with plenty of seating, making it a nice spot to relax, and parking is never an issue.For anyone looking for authentic Yemeni coffee in Dallas, DeRa Coffee is a must-visit! Can't wait to stop by again!

The pastry we tried was good, the service was great and the ambiance was really nice! Def recommend. Will be coming back :)

Got their hot americano and it's pretty light. The cup for my americano kept leaking though. Total for my order (latte + hot americano) was little over $10 and I paid with $20 cash. The cashier said she didn't have any change to give me. I don't care about a few cents but this should NOT be standard business practice. Give customers their change and let them choose to put the loose change in the tip jar.

Cute coffee shop with plenty of seating. Was surprised that they have so many pastry and dessert options and even food options. The workers were really friendly. Appreciate that they have self serve ice water for us while we wait for our order on a hot summer day. We throughly enjoyed our pistachio latte and affogato in a cookie cup. Since the cookie cup is a little smaller, the ice cream was really small. I would probably order extra ice cream on the side.

went here for my coffee + yap session! they have nondairy milk but not for any of their signature drinks :( also kinda pricy for texas prices. i ended up getting a basic vanilla latte and they didnt put enough espresso which was :( however, they were friendly and the wifi was good and there were also outlets and a bathroom! but i wouldn't go again, simple bc why would i go to a yemeni coffee place and not get yemeni coffee

We ordered the D-stachio and De Ra Lattes. The D-stachio is pistachio flavor and the De Ra is cardamom flavor. My favorite latte was the D-stachio latte. They also have pastries and cakes. There were a lot of tables for people to work at but I personally found it very loud.
