This is never a place I would have found without the recommendation of my boss, who is from Eritrea (Eastern African country). I followed her recommendation and the dishes were fantastic. The bread, was delicious. It is made from the Teff grain, fermented for quite a few days, then cooked similarly to a crepe. It was amazing. Combined with the meat, it provided a explosion of flavor on my mouth that I've never experienced before. This place seems to be very traditional, delicious, and I will be returning!

My husband and I ordered the vegetarian platter. It should have been a variety of vegetable dishes but it was 3 items. The picture on the menu implied 5-6. The very first bite I took I bit down into several slivers of glass. Then my husband took a bite as I was attempting to tell him and he too bit down into a sliver of glass (see attached photo) Needless to say we threw it away.I attempted to call them but there was no answer so I called the next day. I was told that they had run out of part of the vegetable dishes. Ok, so why weren't we notified before they accepted our order? Then I told her about the glass and she said the owner would be notified and call me. I'm still waiting days later.BAD COSTUMER SERVICE!!!! Clearly the owner could care less about his customers.

Giant rip off. I placed an order through storefront through door dash to pick up. Got there after order was confirmed and they didn't call or anything but they didn't have food to fill the order. They then told my husband nothing was charged but in fact it was . The charge went from pending to cleared and it was charged. Called the restaurant who claims they didn't get the money called doordash and no response. I don't know why people just can't be honest and if you can't fill orders then take your name off available places to order from. Scam artists.

Went to eat here as it was next to out hotel. Wife and I ordered a chicken sandwich and a philly cheese steak. The chicken was tough and dry. The philly was a joke. No cheese, minimal thin slices of dry steak. Both sandwiches were supposed to come with side salads and when we asked about them the waiter said they were ON the sandwiches! So, I ended up with a philly cheese steak with absolutely no cheese, and lettuce and tomato on top with ranch dressing. They then charged us on the tab for a fish sandwich that was $4.00 more than the $8.99 chicken sandwich we ordered. When we asked about this the waitress went to her purse and gave us $4.00 in cash with no apologies. I know this is not their regular fare, but for heaven's sake if you don't know what a philly cheese steak or a side salad is then don't put it on the menu!Drinks were ok. Service was ok.

I love East African food depending on locations and preparation. My plane landed late evening, checked into the hotel and headed out for a place to get some delicious homemade food. This place one would missed due to It's location and appearance. Moving forward the food was delicious we enjoyed every bit. I ordered Lamb with the ethnic bread forgot the name but I love the taste. He ordered the plate 'lamb with rice'. Note: Respect the culture is all I can say! Our waitress was great and I always put great effort into understanding the culture with english barriers. I'm from Phoenix Arizona but definitely recommend this place and will be returning each time I visit Dallas moving forward.

YES. So happy we get to eat some good food while in Dallas ! Our dishes were delicious and so was our waiter. We got the awaze tibes (lamb) and the vegetarian combo. We are FULL. Hit all the taste buds yummm!

Love the energy of this place and the food is amazing. Restaurant with a great history behind it, truly a place I will never stop going too.

Amazing food!!! Went twice in 2 days!!! You will not be disappointed. Large portions and amazing spice
