I've only been to a few country clubs in my life and I have to say, DAC checks all the boxes. The club is a bit unassuming until you drive through the front staffed gates. The gate keepers are friendly and wave as you drive through. The staff somehow knows the names of all their guests and greet you by last name. It is very formal yet they treat you like family. The gym is clean and full of all the equipment you may need for a good workout. The locker rooms are fresh and clean and if you're lucky you can have your own assigned locker for an additional monthly fee. They offer a tennis member option and golf member option. My family were tennis members and after another year and some months, were able to move up to the golf membership. Both options give you full privileges to the pool membership. The families here are so friendly too. The kids have made great friends here. I feel safe to relax and not worry about the kids safety here at all. They have family fun events here often and we seem to spend a lot of time here.

I was in a wedding here this past weekend, and while the food and staff were wonderful, the wedding coordinator was TERRIBLE. She kept asking the bridal party what the plan was and kept pushing to have the wedding outdoors, despite the major monsoon coming in. During the rehearsal, she said there would be a 30% chance the wedding would be indoors, and everyone laughed. I get your job is to keep the bride and groom's wishes as best as possible, but it's also your job to be realistic with them about weather conditions. To top it off, she was supposed to be at DAC around noon the day of the wedding. She was nowhere to be seen until 1:30/2. Unprofessional. She did not contact with the bride or either MOH, and she didn't even hang around the bridal party some to make sure it was all good to go or to do a run through of things. My husband and I were married this past September, and our church and country club reception venue both had coordinators who met with us on a constant basis. We also had a personal wait staff during our reception and a team that ensured every detail went through. Maybe we were spoiled, or maybe DAC needs to update their standards.

Fantastic July 4th Fireworks!! Great job!! Grand finale was awesome!! Everyone enjoyed it! They put a lot of money into those fireworks. You can tell by watching them. Have family friends that live backyard to it and it was my first time to see the show. I usually go somewhere else. Would definitely return to watch again!

Two totally pristine Jack Nicklaus 18 hole golf courses; state of the art workout facility; Fine dining and superb menu; 1/2 price steaks matching the finest steak houses but a fraction of the price. Wonderful buffet breakfasts on Saturday and Sunday and more!!! Check out the amazingly low initiation fee and see how it supersedes any fine country club in the Dallas area. We love this club and enjoy the Back Porch Friday's with great cuisine, bands, and foods. Friendly, social, family environment where you are always treated like you are welcome and appreciated.

OK Folks... Here she goes. Actually I feel a familiar, anti-climactic, unexcited and gnawing experience from this first "review." Let's see, many (and I mean many) white, male drunk persons. Beautiful homes, 1/5th the cost of something equal in California. A beautiful fall day, Texan accents, 8-hours of butt kissing; what more could I ask for out of one of Dallas' oldest, most exclusive country clubs? The facilities were nice; the general manager Brian was unbelievably helpful. Really, if it weren't for Brian I'd give the place 1 star, just for the fact that it is a country club. The food was catered by an outside company so I cannot even include [that] in the review. It's a country club; they've got two golf courses distinguished by color coding - that is gold and blue. If I were an upper-middle class Texan living in Dallas - yeah, I'd probably like it - hell, I'd probably live there. I cannot promise that my reviews will get any better, but hey... at least I didn't have to sing falsetto in front of 400 strangers.

Talk about swanky! This place is very nice as far as country clubs go. Came here for a bite to eat on Memorial Day. The day was rainy & the temperature had dropped by the time we arrived around 6:00, and it was pretty much deserted. The surroundings were nice, large flat screen TV's mounted on the wall tuned to sporting events. The staff was very attentive and gracious. The food was just so-so. I ordered the grilled salmon which tasted fine, and ordered a side of spinach and mixed vegetables. The spinach was a combination of bland, boring and overcooked. The mixed vegetables were slightly better but nothing to get excited about. The margaritas tasted like they were poured from a bottle rather than made fresh (no buzz factor). A big thumbs down on those but the overall experience & ambiance was good.

A pleasant break from the cold days in Michigan. The course is in nice shape and it was worth the trip across Fort Worth to be there. Everyone was nice and we had a nice day.

Excellent, friendly staff. Less stuffy that most of the country clubs in Dallas. I've been here a few times and recently attended an event here that they sponsored for Dallas Veterans. Food was excellent, staff was outstanding and everything they did was really lovely.

Nice course but oddly enough they don't have enough golf carts for spectators during tournaments when players have to walk. They claim they need carts for members on other course. So I guess when members want to play both courses and don't want to walk they don't have enough carts? Sounds like they need to invest in more carts. We are spectators at several clubhouses and country clubs never ran into this issue.
