So, we have tried all the eating places in the Plaza of the Americas. This is the BEST (and only!) Chinese restaurant in the POTA. If u work/visiting the Plaza and want Chinese food, eat here. The food is definitely edible and will satisfy your craving.

The most noticeable thing about China Garden is that it really sticks out in the shiny surrounds of the mostly white (whoa there Nelly, talking about the color of the place, not the people) plaza of the Americas food court. From the loudish multi-colored sign boasting primary colors to the divey looking menu board with the flourescent lighting, I would argue it stands proud and screams to you exactly what it will offer.Greasy Chinesey food. 9 bucks gets you a one item combo with rice, an eggroll and a cream cheese wonton which in my case looked like a steamroller ran over it. You know what it still tasted good. It's no frills here. You're getting a decent meal which I submit to you good sirs and madams can easily be two meals. I got the Hunan beef which was saucy and dark. Flavorful enough for my tastes and fortunately my white shirt survived not getting that one splash of sauce which sticks out and distracts you from the rest of your day!I wish I could give it 3.5 stars but alas 3 it is. I shall happily return albeit with a darker colored wardrobe!

Fourth day of my Plaza of the Americas experience. My options today were pizza, which I'm not a fan of the cheap pizza you tend to find in food courts, Philly Cheesesteak (likewise), burritos or Chinese.I'm not a big fan of burritos, so I decided to go with Chinese. The line was long, which I took to be a good sign. I had the two entree plate, orange chicken and bourbon chicken with fried rice, a wonton and an eggroll.First, the good: the portions are generous. Lots of chicken. You won't leave hungry. Second, the not so good: It was meh. What can you say about it? Obviously you don't look for fine cuisine in a food court. You want something quick that will sate your hunger and ideally leave you a bit happier than you were. But that was just not the case, at least today. It was acceptable, just not particularly good. An hour or so after eating lunch...I can hardly remember what I ate, except for the eggroll which was pretty horrid. Everything else was just...meh. Would I eat here again? Sure. You get a lot of food without spending a lot. But it wouldn't be my first choice.

Probably one of the worst fast food Chinese places I've been to. My coworker and my order was the Chicken Mushroom. They put potatoes in the mix which, I assume was an attempt to look like more chicken. What an absolute SCAM! There are many places to go in the Plaza of Americas just don't go there.

Located inside of the Marriott this restaurant is just one of many that are included in this food court area. The choices here are limited which works well since it's a fast paced take out style of store. The staff are very friendly and courteous and accommodating. The portion sizes are great. The food is good and fresh and presented to you inside of a styrofoam take out box by the cashier. Plastic forks, spoons, or knives are provided but no chopsticks. If you want soy sauce or chili sauce you must put it on your food before you leave by using the bottle at the checkout.

This is one of the busiest locations to eat lunch in the Plaza of America building. The food is constantly coming out fresh and if you happen to be getting some of the last of the pan, they will offer to let you wait till the fresh batch comes out. The young man who serves the food is very friendly and gives even and consistent portions. The cash out process is not very friendly. Don't you dare try to order something that isn't an already set price or menu item. For example if you want just the lunch portion of an entree only, you will be charged for the whole lunch meal, rice, egg roll, drink and Rangoon and all! Price be damned! So get something on the menu and in a package and arraignment that has a picture. Food tastes like you expect to go Chinese food to taste. One thing that I think stands out is that they do use white meat chicken for all of their dishes by what I can tell.

Today I have General Tso's Chicken, Crab Rangoon, and Fried Rice. The crab rangoons tasted mostly like cream cheese and wonton wrapper. If you prefer a Rangoon that tastes like cream cheese, this place is for you. The fried rice was fine. And the chicken was actually pretty good. They made it fresh when I got there. Overall, it was good, the Rangoon could have been more flavorful and the price could have been better.

I got the shrimp fried rice ($9+), an eggroll ($1+) and the crab rangoon (2pcs $1+). The fried rice was good, but the shrimp was disappointing. First, they were small, about the size of a quarter, and while I was pleased that they butterflied them, they also did not take care to clean them well. Basically the front of the shrimp was butterflied, but only the front bit, and the tail was left on, so after cooking it curled over the top. From the spot that it wasn't cut, up thru the tail, there were thick dark lines. I know what that line is and I don't want to eat it. I ended up picking out all but 3 of the shrimp. While they weren't overcooked, and that's a nice change of pace, I wouldn't order the shrimp again. The eggroll was sad - floppy, small, thin, and loosely rolled. It was not more than 4" long and was not thicker than a cigar. It was only a dollar and I wouldn't buy it again at half the price. The crab rangoon were like little fried wontons, emphasis on 'little'. They were so small, I barely tasted anything but the fried crust. They were generous with the soy sauce packets, which is also a nice change, but their sweet & sour sauce was cloudy pink and it made me nervous so I didn't use it. But the fried rice was good. If I ever go back, I'd just get that plain.

Nicest owners. Hardworking. Amazing food and they will customize. I change my order every time and every new thing is great. Try the Lo Mein or the Chinese noodle soup.
