The food was delicious. There were a few things we enjoyed more than others. And most of the dishes were as authentic as can be in America. We had a very kind server who helped us choose our meal. She gave us free tastings of wine and complementary hot and sour soup. The ambience is very quaint and styled and an upper class Chinese restaurant We got the cucumber salad, the spicy wonton, sizzling, beef, hot and sour soup, green beans, soup, dumplings, and shrimp fried rice. Out of everything I just mentioned I thought the cucumber salad was spectacular, the hot and sour soup was worth its weight and the green beans were absolutely delicious. The other items I mentioned were good, but not something I think I would crave or go back to. We got a bottle of plum wine And it was absolutely divine.

Solid place for soup dumplings and pan fried bottom buns. I also really like the cumin beef - tender, flavorful, and not too spicy. The salted egg tofu dish on the "new" menu was good too!We also tried a stewed chicken pot that I would skip, not very flavorful. Reasonably quick service and cook time just not enough people working if they're super busy. Very casual and a neat ambiance

I would give this place 4 - 4.5 stars as the food and service was good overall! We came to China Blue on a Friday evening for dinner and the restaurant was decently busy but not overly so. We were seated immediately and after we put in our order, the food came relatively quickly.Pretty much everything we got was quite delicious! The spicy wontons were flavorful and not super spicy (good for me as someone with a lower spice tolerance). The pan fried pork baos were perfectly crispy on the bottom with a nice juicy filling. The eggplant with minced meat was pretty standard for an eggplant dish at a Chinese restaurant but good nonetheless. Unfortunately, our only gripe was that we ordered the spicy fish with Chinese sauerkraut and they brought out the non-spicy version instead. Not a huge deal since we were totally okay with the non-spicy version and opted to not make a fuss out of it.Overall I would definitely come back in the future to try more of their dishes & dim sum!

This place was amazing and so nicely decorated! Service was quick and friendly. We had the combination dumplings and some of the China Blue soup dumplings. They were some of the best soup dumplings I have ever had! To top it off, it is located in a strip mall surrounded by other interesting places to explore.

I am by no means a connoisseur of dumpling and bao but, these are good. In the mood for authentic Chinese I fired up the Yelp AI Quantifier and Bam...there it was. Fitting my screening criteria perfectly at 132 reviews with a 4.3 average.First of all,the atmosphere is great. Traditional Chinese design influence is found throughout including the tables and chairs. This is a big deal to me and can put a place on my go back list instantly.Service was urgent and friendly. Although I needed more time to digest the extensive menu,I wasn't forgotten and checked on often. The food was delicious and well prepared. Szechuan chicken was more a traditional preparation than I'm used to but excellent spice level and crunch. The pan fried spicy pork boa were perfect as were the blue China soup dumplings. Finally,I feel like the prices are good for 2024. I even added a lunch special of fried string beans to go for tomorrow. There were plenty of leftovers. There is no shortage of Asian restaurants in every shape and form in the Plano area these days. Fortunately Chinese is well represented and it would be interesting to start working my way through them. Until then with regard to Blue China ...Go!

Super lovely place! The restroom was very cool with a smart mirror that added a high-tech touch to the place. The decor was also truly on another level. The wonton soup was super good--definitely food for the soul. It had so much depth and flavor, I could tell a lot of care went into making it.Our server was excellent. She was very efficient and anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Her recommendations were spot on, and she clearly meant business in providing top-notch service.

Good shrimp fried rice and sesame chicken. The zucchini and shrimp dumplings were good but they did not provide a sauce to go along with the dish. The ambiance is very nice and I'm sure additional dishes are good there, yet the service was not great. They told us the restaurant closes at 9:30 (and the kitchen closes at 9) even though on Google and on Yelp it says 10pm. They rushed us toward the end of the meal.

We are new to the area and wanted to try a new Chinese place. Everything looked so great in the pictures and the reviews were decent so we went with China Blue, but we were really disappointed. Everything was mediocre at best. We got orange chicken, beef flat noodles, walnut shrimp, combination fried rice, and soup dumplings. The orange chicken was very chewy. The beef flat noodles and combination fried rice lacked flavor. The walnut shrimp was overly coated with breading and drenched in sauce so it was very soggy, and the soup dumplings tasted off. Such a bummer because we really hoped it would be a hit! We won't be going back.
