This is a VERY small aquarium, which is perfect for my 2 year old toddler with limited attention span. We went through the whole aquarium in less than an hour. My toddler was more interested in his freedom and running around, rather than look at the fish. We saw octopus, jelly fish, seahorse, clownfish, baby sharks, sea turtles, pufferfish, little sting rays, piranhas, and several others. There are also touch tanks for the sting rays and "doctor fish" (the little fish that eat your dead skin). My toddler had fun touching the sting rays. The touch tanks are included with admission and u can buy food to feed the sting rays if you wanted to. There is also an area where kids can color in their own fish/undersea animal (on paper) and they scan it into their computer and the picture becomes a 3D animal and u can watch it swim across a big computer screen. I thought that was pretty cool.We arrived around 1210 on a Saturday afternoon and finished by 1pm but we stayed an extra 30 minutes to wait for the shark interaction that started at 130pm. We just sat on benches in the sting ray area and ate some snacks until time came for the shark interaction. The shark interaction is basically watching them feed the sharks. Nothing particularly crazy. Had my toddler's attention for 3 minutes before he wanted to run off again.Overall, it's a decent aquarium for little toddlers. Small enough to walk through everything and go home in time for lunch and a nap. I wouldn't recommend it for adults or bigger kids.

Had a blast! Small but well worth the time!! Kids loved everything. You can feed the sting rays for $5 per person, and they are pretty excited to be fed! You can also get your hands cleaned with "doctor fish" like they do in fancy salons. Such a strange feeling but soo cool!! We also got to pan for gold and gems $10 for a bag of pay dirt. Small gift shop with more Dino stuffed animals then fish though.. Well worth the time and money spent! Also has free parking! Will definitely be coming back!

Our kid went here with her school class recently and liked it so much that she wanted to share the aquarium with us. So off we went. The price is much less than the Dallas Aquarium. An adult is $15 and a child is $10, so that's pretty reasonable.I was surprised that parking was free on the Sunday we went. Usually, Fair Park always charges for parking. The aquarium itself is not that large but the quality of presentations compensates. The sting rays are cool, as is the shark tank. Her favorite is the octopus, which reminded her of the octopi we saw at the Octopus farm on the Big Island (Hawaii) last summer. My favorite was the walking batfish. I never saw a fish with functioning legs before. Obviously, that was a huge evolutionary step. The touching pools are what the kids like the most and they are very popular (crowded). The staff personnel are friendly and ready to answer your questions.Overall, this is a great way to spend some quality family time.

This aquarium is amazing. It's very affordable for many families and these is a great variety of animals to see. The stingray exhibit was the hi light of our visit. We were able to see their mouths and their action as they swam up to the glass enclosures. They have great interactions with the trainers bringing out lizards, snakes and feeding demonstrations throughout the day. This is very kid-friendly as well. The animal handler, Alex, was amazing and gave us plentiful insight into many animals during our visit. I would highly recommend for an afternoon activity with the family.Parking was a little confusing at first, but you do have to drive into fair park.

What a fantastic place to spend an hour or two. My daughter absolutely loved it here. They have a wide variety of fish. There is a sting ray petting area and a touch tank with horseshoe crabs. The shark tank is pretty cool and a great place for pictures. The spitting fish exhibit was pretty neat as well. My daughter is not a fan of Santa, but we tried to take a picture with Scuba Claus anyway!

Pound for pound, this is one of the best aquariums I've been to (and you go to a lot of aquariums when you have kids). It's small but it has lots of unique animals I've never seen before. They have a coloring area too which is a great break for the kiddos if they need it. Definitely give them a shot.

We hosted our son's birthday party at the Children's Aquarium over the weekend, and I'm so glad that we chose to host it here. When hosting your party at the aquarium you are given a party room, a party coordinator, and party favors. The package we purchased also included a personalized animal encounter and an opportunity for guests to feed the stingrays. After everyone had their fill of pizza and cake, our coordinator brought in a snake for the guests to see up close and personally. Even though that encounter was amazing, I feel like all of our guests got a kick out of feeding the stingrays. Even the adults kept raving about how fun it was to feed and touch them in the tank. The kids also loved the entirety of the aquarium and how interactive the exhibits were. I would also like to give a special shoutout to our party coordinator Zacari who was extremely helpful, kind, and personable. Overall the children and adults had a fantastic time, and we can't wait to come back for another visit.

Our 4 year old twin granddaughters had a blast with all the hands on pools. At first they weren't sure of stingray Petting but quickly warmed up to them. They loved the kissing fish pool and didn't want to leave. The aquarium is small but I like that I could keep my eyes on them without having a grip on their hand. The girls also enjoyed trying to find the fish and creatures inside the closed glass viewing tanks!

I brought 4 grands from 5 to 12 years old recently. We all had a fabulous time. The hands on exhibits were a huge hit. The Aquarium's exhibits are divided by location from shore to deep sea. We loved it all. Easy free parking and reasonable ticket prices. A perfect couple of hours.
