Cafe Gecko Fairview

The plates were all right, but the waitress was too rude. She doesn't give us any advice or recommendation at all, when we ask and she poor liquid from the plate of beans on my wife dress and she don't even apologize. We definitely not going back.

After deciding to drive 15 miles and go out of our way we came and sat on Gecko Cafe's patio on a beautiful Fall day. Unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. Everything was fine until our food was delivered. My wife's Chicken Spinach Salad was delivered without any Spinach???? How is this possible? My daughter's Turkey Melt was delivered with cold fries. My blackened chicken sandwich was overcooked and dry and after the server said she would get me some Buffalo sauce I had to waive her down 5 minutes later to remind her. But all of this was nothing compared to my son's $14 Cheesesteak sandwich which came out very disappointing with enough steak for 1/2 a sandwich and a half order of fries. After we alerted the server she took the sandwich and the salad back to the kitchen. Then a few minutes later the manager came out and she said this is what this sandwich supposed to look like. (He's actually ordered it before and it had lots more meat and definitely more fries.) I told her he's ordered it before and it's never looked this pitiful. Now the sandwich has been walked around the restaurant a couple of times and definitely cooled off. She then implied in her condescending tone this is all your getting with this. I said fine, just leave it but we just won't come back. I then told her I don't need any of her attitude either. She said "I'm not giving you attitude" but it was obvious she was not interested in making anything right or offering something else. At this point she attempted to make a half hearted apology. I told her to save her apology its too late and obviously not sincere. No one ever came to check on us again. Crickets! Just ignored. Our waitress did finally fill up our water, but no one asked about anything. My wife thought maybe they would have offered a free appetizer or dessert hoping to make amends for the disappointing experience. Nothing. I wish Dennis was there. I'm sure he would have handled things differently. Here's a pic of the sandwich. Let me know what you think? Does it look like it's a $14 meal??? Most above average restaurants give you more than you expect, not less. Next time we'll just go around the corner to Gloria's were they also have a great patio and service is always outstanding. Tip to this manager...Maybe you should go over there as well and view how exceptional service looks.

What a terrible experience for regulars. We were advised a few days prior that they were having a toy drive and given a flyer. Came in a few days later with $100 worth of toys in tote and the staff had no clue about this drive all while seeing the flyers behind the bar. We had slow service and no personable service as being regular customers. We decided tonight that we will not be returning.

Cafe Gecko has a great environment to meet friends and hang out or watch a sports game together. Service isn't bad, but their food is not good. I used to like their pizza, but ordered one this past Sunday and it was burnt on bottom and not cooked enough on top. Paid way more than I should have..Just eat dinner before you go to meet people here.

I've been eating here for a few years now and I've never had a bad meal... the pizzas are hard to pass up because they're so delicious but I have so many favorites that I have to squeeze them all in. The sour cream chicken nachos are my newest favorite and the shrimp cocktail and seafood pasta hot and spicy are my seafood faves.. anything with the blackened seasoning is to die for especially when paired with their homemade honey mustard.. I could go on and on lol. Best food in the neighborhood with the best prices, y'all should check it out! Also- Courtney is my favorite bartender!! She works days til 6:00 and she's the bomb. No service after 8 min sitting...they apparently don't want business...server leaning @ end of the bar on her phone the whole time Went across the strreet to MrPoBoys

The food was good, and the service was great. It was a little loud and they had loud music.

Brought my mom here for a weekday lunch. I really loved the menu, a good mix of classic items, and fresher items that are a little more contemporary. There seemed to be only 1 or 2 waitresses (sign on the door said "Please be patient we are understaffed") but our waitress did a great job despite being heavily pregnant and came back to us often.I highly recommend the seafood pasta salad and the blackened shrimp salad.

The best tacos I have had in the area! So good definitely very underrated I tell everyone I know about this spot. Had the best customer experience they know exactly what they are doing here! The environment is clean and the people are great.

Starting the New Year off right at the Geko...come in for great service, food, and sides.
