Cafe Gecko Eastside

2 stars for the food. The silent taylor bartender non response no communication what SO EVER ESPECIALLY TO NEW guests... the good we absolutely outstanding music low. Very quiet, the kitchen music was louder than the actual authentic country music above us. We came with an appetite for two NOT 8 SHE COULD LET us know how large the portions were. With a horrible pour count, over served to say the least.

Listen up. Cafe Gecko is an awesomely friendly place in a world of strangers. The bartenders are engaging, genuine, and friendly. They have a million great beer choices. I've tried three dishes. A great shrimp based green salad, a wonderful blackened shrimp and my favorite, stuffed jalapeños the size of my mother's fists. But much more tasted when they hit the lips. I can't say enough about this place. Ben the customers introduce themselves to each other. It's like, yes, it's like what you wish church could be. Maybe it's what church used to be. No matter, I like it!I think you will, too. My friend Craig knows all the best places and people. He turned me on to Cafe Gecko in downtown Plano. I'll see you there!

My wife and I dropped in for a beer after dinner and a walk around the area. Made a couple of friends and had fun with the group that was there.We will drop in again.

I love coming to cafe gecko during the evening a few times a month before bed for a late night meal and drink. This is a great hang out spot for yourself or with friends. Parker & Lisa are definitely the best bartenders.

Went there for lunch today-- late lunch. I had the pepperoni pizza- thin crust and very good. My GF friend (not celiac) had the chicken tacos with corn tortillas-- he got the chicken tacos spicy and said they were perfect and particularly loved the pico de gallo. The staff were friendly and they told us it was open until 2 am (including the kitchen!)
