Tried this place out for the first time with a friend who frequents the location often. We went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't busy, but I would say there was a decent amount of people there. As we waited for someone to come take our order it became obvious that there were only two people working, so we tried to be patient. After 30 minutes, though, we decided to find the manager to put our order in. The menu has lots of great options and it was difficult for me to choose. The food was good, but not great. I enjoyed the smores latte I ordered, but it didn't come with the chocolate syrup on time like in the picture so a little disappointing. Overall, we had a good experience, but I don't know if I would come back.

I can't believe I forgot to review Cafe Brazil after eating there a year ago; it's better late than never, isn't it? That is exceptionally humorous. It's incredibly amusing. The supremely satisfying Western Omelet was precisely the ideal way to begin my day. The food was delicious, plentiful and ideal for my upcoming debaucher I'm about to attend that day. Cafe Brazil's relaxed and cozy atmosphere makes it a superb spot for several breakfast or brunch options. Friendly service guaranteed all items were fresh and hot. It's a superb place to eat, whether one is recovering from a late night or preparing for several hours of daytime activity.

It takes a lot for me to give a 1 star review but cafe Brazil earned it. Where do I even begin?I came here with my beautiful pregnant wife and toddler. It took over an hour to get our food. If there are two people in the world to not make wait an hour for food it is a pregnant woman and toddler...Not only that, during that hour we were not checked in on once, communicated with about the wait, offered anything, nor even had our waters refilled. I mean come on. I understand you can be having kitchen troubles but you have to at least come by and say something. Instead we were just avoided completely and left to wait, never sure what was happening. At one point during this time I was up walking around with my toddler and the manager was walking the other way. As we approached a narrow gap between tables he actually sped up to try and beat me to getting through it and would have hit me if I didn't quickly dodge to the side. I don't know maybe you shouldn't be almost crashing into people and kids just because you feel rushed. Another group came in after a long wait eventually got their food to go and left. We overheard they ran out of potatoes from our waitress telling someone else so that's the only way we got an update.Once we got our food it was fine. The texas feast could definitely use more potatoes and bacon to feel more like a feast, but taste was okay. Still never got a water refill even after getting food, check, etc. Prices have gone up lately making it not really feel worth the cost, especially with the experience we had. Inside cafe Brazil used to be more fun as well with better decor. Felt a bit bland and lacking this time around. Have been coming here for 10+ years but I think it's time to move on.

I've been going to Cafe Brazil for over 21yrs at various locations. We waited over an hour for food. During this time, we were not approached once for water refills or for an update even though the tables around us did receive attention during this time. That's how we found out they ran out of breakfast staples like eggs and potatoes. We were not given the option to order something else or to even have water during the wait. We have a 1yo and I'm 7m pregnant. It was miserable even though the 1yo was somehow well-behaved even on an empty stomach. Small blessings. The coffee bar was empty except one option: burnt water.I understand the place was busy and short staffed but we should at least not be ignored for an hour after ordering. I couldn't even get anyone's attention for water refills or to ask about coffee or to ask how much longer. Finally my husband caught the server and she said "oh not much longer" and 15m later we were finally served food.Well...it was obvious they were scrambling to put something together. My Migas had maybe one egg? There were a few potatoes on the plate. I've been ordering the same thing for two decades. This was not correct at all. Half of it wasn't even cooked (raw onions). The chorizo was different than usual and very poor quality.I wanted to leave but there was no other option with my blood glucose dropping/diabetes.The service was terrible. The manager was rude. The place was run poorly. The bathroom was disgusting with dead bugs. The coffee was empty or burnt. The prices increased. What happened to Cafe Brazil? We are reasonable people and if the service had been better...if we had water refilled once in the hour and a half or a check in at all then we wouldn't be so livid with a bad experience. Things happen. It's not the kitchen's fault the manager didn't order supplies correctly. It's not the managers fault for understaffing. It's not the servers fault for the long wait. But at each point that there could be good customer service there was instead failure. In the 21+ years I have been a patron, I have never walked away thinking this was the last time. I have fond memories of the (now closed) location opening in McKinney....of Deep Ellum after concerts. Of Richardson brunches. Of taking newborn to Carrollton for our first brunch. But this place is no longer Cafe Brazil. It's a garbage fire.

Pretty decent breakfast spot! My friend and I stopped by one morning and were seated immediately. Plenty of seating and inviting ambience. I ordered the loaded breakfast bowl with sausage and chorizo and my friend had the breakfast rellenos. Portions were big and both were yummy. They have a lot of specials: kids eat free on certain days and times, unlimited coffee bar, happy hour, etc. Will be back soon.

This cafe is large and can seat a lot of people. However, I wasn't impressed by the food once brought. It all tasted okay. The nice thing is their drip coffee selection. You get a mug and fill your cup with whatever you want to try. Service was sub-par even though including us there was 3 groups seated. The waitress did not check on us, fill up waters, and passed by us multiple times.

In a word, delicious! Cafe Brazil has been a DFW mainstay forever and this location was hopping on a Sunday. They're not one of the 24 hour locations but still open pretty late for the burbs. My Build Your Own Crepe (with roasted poblano pepper, onions, jack cheese and bacon) was yummy and filling and came with some tasty toast! I can never turn down sweet potato fries if they are on a menu, and those were also great. My brother just got a Snickerbar latte but said he liked the drizzle of chocolate and caramel. Our waiter was busy but still remembered to check on us. Come early and enjoy their broad menu!

Attentive staff. Fresh food. Kids eat free tonight. Music coming from the kitchen is pretty loud and louder than what is playing in the dining area. In check.

I've been coming to Cafe Brazil for years. The menu stays per much the same, but they always add seasonal choices with breakfast, lunch and drink offerings. They have delicious bottomless coffee and even odder a to-go cup of coffee. There's lite Mexican music playing in the background. The staff is always friendly and professional. This is a great place for brunch, lunch, dinner or just to kick back and relax for awhile.Kids eat free Sunday-Thursday 5:00-10:00 pm with purchase of adult entry.

It would have been nice to be acknowledged by the many staff members who were there when we walked in but that's all fine. But to not be acknowledged for a good 3-4 minutes while there were two tables with customers in the entire place, and then not be seated for another couple of minutes while some of the workers were twiddling their thumbs behind the bar was a little painful to be honest.Half of our table's order was good and the other half was bad. I will cut to the chase and say don't get their loaded breakfast bowl. It had an ocean of oil sitting at the bottom of the bowl. Every time I took a bite I felt like I was eating spoonfuls of oil from a warmed up pan. The dish also had tons of old and dry green onion as garnish and it just didn't work for me. I did end up sending this back but service was so slow that I didn't get to replace it. Ended up just having a protein shake I brought from home. The chicken crepes were good, though. The crepes had a nice texture, it wasn't falling apart. The chicken and veggies were cooked well and the spicy sauce on top had a tiny little kick that was just perfect. It also came with potatoes and toast on the side which were also good. The most important thing that brought us back here was the coffee bar with unlimited refills and THAT was worth it. They had seven flavors total - two of those were decaf and one was a dark roast. It is October and they brought out their holiday blend coffee which I highly recommend. Some other flavors they had were Brazil select, bourbon pecan (reg and decaf), snickerdoodle, holiday blend (also in a decaf), and Kilimanjaro dark. We sat outside and the tables were pretty old and gross looking but I guess that happens sometimes. The waitress was not really around and we were never even told about the seasonal menu that was posted on a board inside. That was disappointing to find out later as we checked out but I guess it will bring us back to try it next time. Generally I still recommend this place because although the food may be hit or miss, their coffee bar is really fun and worth it. Not to mention the quirky feel of the place and plentiful amounts of parking.*Don't forget to ask for a to-go cup and grab yourself that one last cup of coffee of your choice for the road!
