Of course the bill is pricey, but that is the expectation when dining at an upscale restaurant. The complimentary valet parking, the elevator entrance, the piano, and the waterfall all give this restaurant that extra push towards a lavish experience. If the food wasn't reason enough to come here, the staff is just as incredible. Everyone is helpful and goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. They decorated the table for our anniversary, took lots of photos for us, and even ran after us when I left a souvenir I purchased earlier behind at our table. Whenever we have family in town and we want to make them feel like royalty, we take them to Dakota's."

It gave it the whole classy, old NY vibe. At some point they started playing different music, but when my husband and I went a couple weeks ago, they were playing an entire live Billy Joel album. It just went from one Billy Joel song to the next with long, awkward pauses in between, along with talking and applause since it was live. So weird. Totally changed the vibe from romantic/classy to kind of depressing. On top of that, the zucchini chips and our calamari were both undersalted. We've never had that problem before. We ended up not even staying for dinner and went somewhere else. I just couldn't handle the whole music thing going on! Hopefully it will go back to the way it used to be!"

And the sauce had just that little bit of Italian spiciness that set it off. My dinner buddy tonight ordered the Chicken Parm and WOW!!! Not only was it two HUGE crispy fried chicken cutlets, but they were so tender, they seemed to just melt in your mouth. It came with the pasta of the day, which happened to be farfalle in a delicate marinara sauce. Overall: We will be back and we will sit outside. We will also ask for Sergio by name. Such a great evening."

We love the restaurant, the phenomenal food and the superior service. Aventino's has never disappointed us.Our visit, one of the busiest days at a restaurant, was on Valentine's Day. It's a very special day for couples to go out to eat. Many restaurants roll out special prix fixe menus for a special dining experience. When we learned that Aventinos was staying with their standard menu, which we love, I booked our reservations in a heartbeat early. I am glad I did because they were sold out for the day. I'm not against prix fixe menus for special occasions, but sometimes the prices are so expensive.My wife and I arrived at our scheduled reservation. It was wonderful to be back in their serene atmosphere with the music playing quietly in the background. Aventinos has a wonderful ambience, the venue is so inviting for its patrons. Our table was ready, they already had a chair pulled out since I am in a wheelchair. I had noted that when making our reservation. Just as a sidenote, we are very close friends with the owners, Erica and Chris. They know, I'd never sugar-coat or whitewash a Yelp review in favor or the restaurant when it wasn't deserved.After being seated and getting to say hi to Erica, our server took our drink orders. We chose a glass of our favorite wines and ordered our favorite entrees. Unfortunately, we rarely vary what we order. My wife LOVES Aventino's incredible lasagna, and I LOVE their Chicken Scallopini (aka Chicken Piccata). I like anything that has lemon in it!Our wine arrived so we did a toast to Valentine's Day. Our incredible house salads following our wine. We also ordered a basket of garlic bread. It was SO good. Aventinos signature salad dressing is so good, you just want to drink it. I believe its red wine vinegar based, but that's it. Their salads are the perfect size and served on a cold plate. What a wonderful way to start our celebratory dinner.After a short wait our entrees arrived, and they were absolutely perfect. If I could jump into my plate of Chicken Scallopini, I would have, it was SO delicious. As my wife was devouring her lasagna, not a word was being said. She finally said, "I have a VERY happy pallet and tummy! I am so glad we came here for Valentine's Day." I knew I had hit a homerun. We didn't have dessert since we had a red velvet cake at home to top the night off with. Erica and Chris, thank you for the wonderful evening. You've never failed us. We'll see you again soon."

Both of the appetizers were so delicious. The meatballs had an incredible texture, so moist and tender.My wife and I finally decided on our entrees. She decided to order the "Chicken Goodfella's." A beautifully constructed entree of fresh chicken breast sautéed with scallions, shallots, garlic, white wine & cream and tossed with penne pasta. I opted for the Stuffed Rigatoni with Chicken and Artichokes. The entree consisted of stuffed rigatoni tossed with sautéed diced chicken breast & oven roasted Artichokes sundried tomatoes in a Gorgonzola cream sauce.Service was very relaxed which gave us time to visit with our dear friends. After short wait, our entrees were delivered to our table piping hot. Oh, my goodness, both of our entrees were so delicious and ample. We could have easily shared one of the entrees. The sauces were rich, creamy and decadent. We all thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Goodfellas Woodfired Pizza. We'll definitely make the drive to The Colony again very soon to explore more deliciousness on the menu."

The drinks were just ok, I ordered an espresso martini and it was not bad but I would recommend ordering something that you normally get that's not on their cocktail drink menu.Overall, I would say that this restaurant is good for a couples dinner date but I would choose another place if coming with a larger party."
