"Such a gem located inside of a Hindu temple. I came for a friend's recommendation on Diwali! And it can I say that the moment I walked in, I knew this was it be authentic place to be. Yeah, outside looks well-maintained, people are extremely nice, and the food was some of the best Indian food I've had. The depth of the flavors, complements of the spices, all were quite amazing.I would say that the selection was not crazy, but you can tell that each dish was made with quality. All vegetarian/vegan choices - There were three different curries, a lentil, soup, two different types of rice, broccoli, and some stirfry cabbage! Additionally, the desserts were vegan brownie and the rice kheer which were both DELIGHTFUL!Let me just say that I have not had a buffet in a long time and I thoroughly stuffed myself silly! ($17 dinner and $12 lunch)We will certainly be back again soon!"
"Very solid family run business. I cannot wait to go back to try the fajitas, which smelled delicious!"

"Greeted with a warm welcome and menu recommendations. The grilled stir fu peanut chicken is delicious and served with plenty of broccoli. Tried the chicken krawpau soup. It's served in a rich curry based soup with noodles chicken and crispy crispy noodles on top. So so good. Must try Thai place and will be back to sample more food. Will upload the pictures later."
"Wish I could eat here everyday! The place is beautifully decorated inside, very spacious, lots of plants. They have an outdoor area too. Staff are incredibly kind. Food is fantastic. I got the Steak entree with a side of broccoli and sweet potato fries. Everything was incredibly delicious, very fresh and a fantastic portion. I love the vibe here for being happy and making the world better. They have free Wi-Fi (details are at the counter) so it's a great place to get some things done or study."
"I've been coming here for years and it's still my favorite spot. I highly recommend the pani puri and the dahi puri. Their dosas are also so amazing and definitely try the different lassis."
"It was my work besties birthday and we were treating her to lunch and she chose Velvet Taco. Honestly I had been here before and wasn't pleased with my meal but I took one for the team and decided to give it another try. I was trying to follow a dirty keto diet regimen and I was happy to see that lettuce wrapped tacos were offered. Needless to say I'm glad I gave it another try as I absolutely loved my meal. I order every time my coworker goes."
"After living in the DFW area for a decade, we finally made our way to Velvet Taco this past Saturday evening.Overall, the food tasted great but there were some hiccups for sure.Service- 1/5 star. They forgot to give us the queso we ordered as an appetizer. The family in front of us got theirs... but ours they just forgot? I had to ask when picking up our tacos from the counter.Additionally, the tables were GROSS. What a mess. Literally it was as if they never cleaned. We watched one woman ask them to clean her table and honestly, i dont blame her.Food- 4/5 stars. The food tasted fresh, but man was it messy. It fell apart without any plates to catch the food coming out of the loaded tacos. We saw others putting down paper towels on the tables to catch the mess and they had the right idea. Just a waste of the fillings that fell out.I got two tacos and my husband got three along with queso to share. Next time we know that its wayyy too much food- haha. I will stick with one taco and queso and he said he would only have two.We both agreed the #12 brisket taco was by far THE BEST. My husband also liked the paneer taco a lot. We also enjoyed the queso blanco with the blue corn chips too.We look forward to trying it again! (And to note, this is far superior to Torchy's in quality)."
"I tried this place with a group of friends. I originally found it while searching for something Vegan friendly but where the food looked tasty for non vegans as well. This place did not disappoint. What a hidden gem. Update--December 2023I still love this place. The tortilla soup is so good that I HAVE to get a cup with dinner or bring some home to go every time. If you do get the soup to go it is packaged nicely, hot, and they give you all the accompanying items with it. I usually go with the Salmon but this time I decided to try the Filet---PERFECTION! I got the filet with the accompaniments of the ribeye. So if you're looking at the menu that's what I asked for. So I got the peppercorn sauce and au gratin potatoes. The prices are good here. The ambiance is nice, but the food could support a much more romantic atmosphere. This is an unassuming place so I'm not sure you would bring a date here for the ambiance, but if you want to blow them away with the food---choose this for a date night. If you have foodie friends bring them here."
"Well...as small as it is, I didn't expect much. But what a pleasant surprise! Hubby had the California turkey, number 10, and said it was amazing! I had the Santa Fe Chicken, number28, and it was awesome! Again, it's a really small place with 3 tables, and it's close to George W. Bush library,...so make it the place to go."
"This was a nice spot to grab something quick & healthy with friends. The food was fresh and tasty, I liked my Gyro meat. Sometimes Gyro makes my tummy hurt but I like the taste and this one didn't! Staff is friendly, we ended up staying past closing cause we got carried away in conversation and the staff didn't bother us which was kind. But I dont promote doing that bc it's rude, it was just nice that they let us have our conversation while they were cleaning up."

Came here on my way to white rock. It was a particularly nice day, and what I never noticed before was that they have an outdoor seatings in the courtyard. Side note: I used to come in evenings always sat inside. It's a buffet style, so you take what you want. There are dishes/desserts that cost extra, but most are included in the price. I don't remember what all I had, but I took a bit of everything, and they all tasted good. Even dessert was very nice and wasn't too sweet. This restaurant is located within the temple. Follow the signs or ask around and you won't have problems finding it.

Stopped in for a late lunch and didn't disappoint. Brisket two ways--taco and enchilada. The brisket with queso was amazing. Shared a flan which has the best CarmelSauce.

Flower child is absolutely adorable and a great spot to go for a healthy meal. I personally think it is a bit expensive but then again, you are paying for quality food. The yogurt ranch is OUT OF THIS WORLD. One of the best ranches I've ever had. That said, the sweet potato fries tasted just like air fryer frozen ones (not to say that's bad, I love those - just expensive for what they taste like). The sangrias were delish but not a huge fan of the teas. This place has a unique menu so I recommend going to try it for yourself.

Taj Chaat House is definitely my go to spot for some paani puri and aloo tiki chaat in the metroplex. You cannot go wrong with any of their dishes. They have been consistent in their taste and quality over the years, which is commendable. The staff members are friendly and efficient in taking the orders and preparing the food. Self service is the best way to keep the restaurant affordable.Parking can get tricky in the evenings and weekends given there are other establishments that get busy as well. The restaurant has been renovated and gives it a fresh new feel.Pricing : Moderate.

Disclaimer - Photos attached are of half eaten tacos because I forgot to take a photograph . Now on to the review!Hadn't eaten since the early morning and decided it was time to grub, Tacos were our final decision and am I glad we chose it? HELL YEAH! It's a cute little spot, that gives chill vibes, nice outdoor seating, they also serve drinks, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Now for the food?!?!?!?! I cannot recall every single thing we ordered, but some items were not photographed. All items below were tacos, unless specified it was a dip:~ Spicy Chicken Tikka~ Quesa Birria Duo (2 Tacos)~ Kobe Smash Burger~ Buffalo Chicken~ Chimichurri Steak~ Sweet Chili Shrimp~ Elote Dip and tortillas~ Rotisserie Chicken~ Queso and tortillas~ Grilled Salmon~ Mexi-Cali ShrimpEVERY SINGLE TACO WAS DELICIOUS....Point, Blank, Period. Literally, every taco we bit into was great. They were all seasoned, EVEN THE QUESO, and had so much flavor in them. I need to stop here again before I leave next week, thats a fact.

Love this place. It's clean, calm, great atmosphere, beautiful music and the background and your really get a fine dining experience here. It's named after their daughter Alondra and she's so sweet. Love to see her working when i come to eat. The food looks like it's straight out of a cook book. The presentation is everything and everyone is very nice.

"I love the zeppelin, bread is crisp and salad is refreshing. Space is clean. And service is fast."
"Love, love, love the food and the presentation here! We requested a non dairy plate and they accommodated us. The servers seemed scarce and not very attentive but the quality of the food offset the lack of service. We will be back for a special occasion ($25 plus tax and tip is a bit expensive)"
"2 stars because the food is still good, the service on the other hand is absolutely terrible. Hire people who know how to greet, and will help customers.Or if this is the actual owner who is the grumpy man that got my order wrong 3 times.Try someone from the outside"
"Great cheap and fast bites! Although $5 is pricey for a taco it does have an elevated fusion flavor to it. I got the spicy tikki chicken taco and it came with with and sauces. It was great! If it had a touch of less sauce it'd be perfect.Seating was open, surprisingly clean, and quick as well as service during a late evening. Would recommend this place for food if your hungry past midnight"
"Stopped by for a snack while shopping at SCHEELS. Good flavors- the samosas pack some heat! Also ordered Punjabi fried cauliflower. Super tasty."
"I was pleasantly surprised when I tried Flower Child. The food is delicious but it also tastes "fresh" like they're using good ingredients. There plenty of seating and you can even customize your food to your liking. Only real negative for me is it can be quite pricey."
"We love Velvet Taco in Allen! It's a delicious spot where we enjoy eating their flavorful tacos and dining alfresco. This new location is both convenient and fast. Like other Velvet Taco locations, they offer excellent online ordering, making it easy to order ahead and dine there. Our favorite tacos include the Fish and Chips and the Mexicali Shrimp. All their tacos are packed with flavor and variety, making every visit a treat"
"The Force is strong in this location. I've Traveled from Stewjon to Coruscant to Naboo, and never had anything so exquisite! Tacos 10/10. Quesos 10/10. Red velvet 10/10. Staff always 11/10. Che, you will be missed here. May the Force be with you on your next journey."
"Love hole in the wall places like this with amazing food! This one's too good to keep all to myself! I had to share! We were grabbing a snack in the late afternoon so we only ordered the Pani Puri, Aloo Tikka Chaat, and an order of samosa (2). MAN, it's super filling and the flavor and spice was spot on! The Pani puri is like a little party in your mouth, really refreshing like little pillows filled with joy! I can't really describe it any better. I couldn't stop eating the samosa and of course love the two sauces that come with it (the brown and green sauces, I wish I knew what they were called). My favorite had to have been the aloo tikka chaat. My first time having chaat so I didn't know what it was. I'm definitely ordering it again next time! Very filling! This place is no frills. Everything is served on styrofoam or paper plate. I love that there was no fighting any crowds and it was nice and quiet. Great place to grab yummy eats and actually have a nice conversation with friends or fam."
"I didn't want to be greedy Chaat Samosaso I can eat Samosa every day I can only post on what I ate. Friendly staff... Food yummy... various location of you can make to Plano... Support your local businesses their doors need to stay open."
"My wife and I have been ordering takeout from here for over a year now. The food is excellent but lately they have started giving substantially less rice with entrees. The last several times we ordered we ended up having to make some of our own rice to supplement. Not a dealbreaker but certainly annoying given this is not a cheap restaurant."
"If you have never had Maharashtrian food, you ar ein for a treat. If you already know about it, this is the place to go!We absolutely love the quality of their food, the overall service level and the general vibe of this restaurant! I love their Sabudana Khichdi, Kothimbir Wadi, Misal Pav, Wada Pav!!!My wife who is more pickier than me when it comes to Indian food (as I tease her that she grew up without the spices and colors in the Midwest haha) also finds a lot of things to her liking! She always gets the Varan Bhaat, if you want something very low spicy for someone!"
"Best place in valley ranch for North Indian Veg cuisine. I love it for both lunch and dinner . The different combo options are amazing with various curry choices , must eat for okra and alu gobhi. Also I loved the chai . The food is truly like indian home made food."
"As I finished my meal here, I was asked by staff what I thought and to be honest. What I said to them was that a dabeli is hard to find and I'm glad I found it. I'm not used to getting a yellow chutney with my dosa but it was delicious, as was the podi sprinkled inside. And I was very happy I found the place. For those not following along, this is a distinctively South Indian vegetarian restaurant, and one of the better ones I've ever been to. While many of these places sacrifice ambiance and service, this one, while embedded amongst some tire shops, had some nice wood-tinged accents and TVs playing the Indian classics: cricket, where I had no idea what was happening, and soap operas with men and women constantly pretending not to look at each other, where I had no trouble understanding what was happening. They serve water warm, in keeping with Ayurvedic principles, but offer iced water for the American palate. The menu includes many delicious small plates, some large combo platters, and in particular many variations of the dosa, a large (huge in this case) savory crepe made from lentils. The one here was likely cooked in ghee (vegans can find things to eat here, but will have to ask). An unsweetened chai washed down my dosa, while a potato peanut burger that arrived later was more than I needed, but just what I wanted. This is the sort of place where everyone else here was Indian and spoke the language (I don't know which language). People at the table mine next to me were talking about how they'd just gotten back from India and (in their words) the only thing they missed was the food. My perspective is rather different as I've never been, but this lentil-based spicy, diverse, vegetarian cuisine is certainly something I miss when I can't find it. And you'll struggle to find it done better than it was here."
"Delicious Indian restaurant with buffet tucked away in a complex. It is vegetarian but I didn't even realize it until after. They offer a lot of things you don't normally see at buffets which I appreciate. It was $15.99 on Friday lunchtime when we went which is a pretty good price. They do offer dosas made to order. The crunchy puffs and other fried veggies stood out to me. The fruit custard was delicious and same with the other desserts that I haven't had before. Definitely worth checking out."
