"I have been putting off coming here for some time because I assumed I knew what I was getting into. What the heck, today is National Taco Day so, I through caution to the wind.I've seen strong reviews by a dependable Yelper or two so I felt comfortable asking Mexican Cactus to " Bring It"!Really glad I stopped in for National Taco Day. Their food is fresh, well prepared and generous. Prices are good and atmosphere is new. Friendly service rounds out a easy experience.Elote- corn in a cup was decentFundido de Chorizo was excellent Cod Fish Tacos were large and flavorfulCarne Asada taco was fantasticThey have beer, margaritas and soft drinks available. Order at the counter, take a seat and your order is brought to you. They did a great job for a casual dining place, of bringing the Fundido appetiser first with time to enjoy before the tacos were brought.I'll definitely be back and highly recommend you...Go!"
"A little HITW in east dallas in the heart of taco land. Plenty of competition but this one really stands apart from the others I will def be back. The ladies wor were really nice and attentive. Look up the story behind the place, charming story."

"The REAL deal. This place is always bustling but it never slows down the kitchen! The cooks crank out tacos and quesadillas at a constant rhythm that gets your food out super quick. They have 3 types of salsas at the counter perfectly placed for when you grab your order--I would encourage you try them all! The restaurant is also super clean and has a lively atmosphere. If you are craving some good street tacos, this is a strong option!"
"What friendly folks! Popped in here while strolling around before the lunch crowd arrived and started chatting up the bartender and cook. They let us know about the ethics of avocado harvesting and why there was an increase in their guacamole prices. It was great to hear their commitment to using fair trade and ethically sourced avocados. We wandered around some more after chatting with the workers and ended up back here for lunch. Took a seat on the shaded patio- no sweat for us during the quick and unusual summer rainstorm. Just one vegan friendly (no quest) taco but it was tasty w the homemade corn tortilla. Homemade corn tortilla chips for the outstanding guac. They do it right and take it seriously. Partner had the ceviche and loved it. Loved the presentation of the ranch water in the topo Chico bottle, extra delicious. Super place, friendly service, easy going place with good food politics."
"You can't beat the sushi tacos! They are amazing. My kids loved the food and the staff is very friendly"
"If you're searching for a brunch spot that nails both flavor and vibe, look no further than Suburban Yacht Club! Their brunch menu is packed with incredible options, and I couldn't get enough of the hot honey chicken sandwich. The crispy chicken, paired with just the right amount of sweet and spicy honey, was a total game-changer.But the epic breakfast burrito was equally unforgettable--loaded with all the right ingredients and full of flavor in every bite. It's perfect if you're craving a hearty, satisfying brunch option. And let's not forget the mimosas, which were absolutely delicious and refreshing, making the entire experience that much better. This place knows how to do brunch right!Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a standout brunch experience. You'll want to come back again and again!"

"Met up with my gf for Happy Hour. She had the birria tacos. I had jerk chicken and seared fish tacos. Had side of beans and rice a la carte because it doesn't come with anything. Did get the Pineapple coconut margaritas for HH and the trio of salsas. Service was great! It was a Thursday and they do take reservations, I would recommend that because without the outside seating, it is limited."
"The staff was super friendly. The food was good. They have interesting combo plates and cold draughts. My San Marcos plate which included a beef taco which was crispy and good, a chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce (yummy), and a carnitas enchilada topped with tomatillo sauce which was delish but had chicken in it instead. Still good. Nobody's perfect right? I would come back here. Chill vibe and kitschy/divey with a patio iirc."
"I've been meaning to try Sideways for over a year! This was a recommendation from another DFW Yelp Elite member when I was new to the area.Ambiance: Finally made it over to Rockwall to check this place out. The restaurant is very much the rustic, country, vibe! They were blasting 90s and current country songs. As we were leaving (around 7:30 PM on a Saturday), the performers for the live band began setting up! Looks like a good place to enjoy some BBQ, and live (country(?)) music. The outdoor patio is pretty large, and they have a corn hole area as well.Service: The service was friendly, but slow. The food came out slow, but it's probably due to the crazy amount of people out that day (beautiful spring day, and prom weekend).Food: We ordered the following dishes to share between the 2 of us1) sideways belly cheater/Fried Pork Rib (3/5: would pass on this! Came out dry)2) Smoked Bacon Wrapped Pimento Cheese Stuffed Jalapenos (5/5: this was amazing!! Deff need a good run after this to open up my Cardiovascular system again!)3) sliced brisket (4/5: so tender, so juicy, melts right in your mouth)4) smoked turkey (3.5/5: very flavorful. Wish it wasn't as dry)5) Jalapeño sausage with cheddar cheese (3.5/4: good, but wish the jalapeño had a kick)Overall, we had a really good time at Sideways enjoying BBQ and a little people watching on the patio!NOTE: the patio tables definitely need to be refinished (the lacquer disintegrated). Be careful or you might get a splinter or 2!"
"If I was driving around looking for a place to eat I dont think I would have even turned my head to notice this place. Sure you pull up you see the landscaping outside and think oh it needs some maintenance. But then you go through the white metal gate and you see the cutest little patio on a step down. It looks like the perfect place to have a cocktail at night outside and no one knows you are down there. I regret not taking pictures my phone died. There are pictures on here but they are old pictures. The patio has got the cutest makeover. The restaurant is also just so cute. Furniture could use a bit of makeover but I'm not there to eat the furniture. We visited last week on a Sunday night and we were a large group. The waiter was so nice and patient. Bar tender brought out or drinks and he was a personality all on his own. We just loved the energy there. We had a tableside guac and it was soooooo good!! They accompanied it with homemade chips. I really wasn't expecting much when it comes to food because the amount of places that dissapoint me. I played it safe and ordered the fish tacos. I was expecting same ol battered fish with the "aioli" blah blah blah,,,....... uh..no. The fish was seared and it was seasoned with a spicy blend and then it had fresh housemade slaw with corn ~ no aioli. why? because this fish taco has nothing to be ashamed of. Full of flavor and varying textures perfectly balanced on a fresh made tortilla....are you kidding me? I was impressed. Sadly, it comes with just two fish tacos, and I was not full. Thats okay because I also sampled the fried plantains so next time I go, I will be adding that to my order as well. The fried plantains were perfection. My order also came with a side of black beans. Unfortunately, the beans were a little undercooked and not seasoned. Not a big deal. Everyone at our table thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My husband raved about his tacos and you could tell everything was made in house fresh. Here is just a note for when you visit: There is limited parking. There is a nook behind the bar with a mini bar that is so cute and just like the perfect little space away from the main space. Dark and moody. This place is understaffed. When we went, we were a group of about 18 people, and you could tell it was overwhelming for the staff even though there weren't many other people besides us. It did take forever to get our food so be patient it is definitely worth it. They are all doing their best. I hope this place definitely picks up more clientele, I want to see it succeed as we don't have many places that value the quality of their food and the authenticity of recipes. This is real food. The sign says they offer brunch Saturday and Sunday 11-4 so hopefully I will be back real soon for another round,"
"Delicious tacos . Very creative with such unique ingredients. We stoped here after flying in to DFW. Great stop. The Margarita was small compared to a the ones in Florida but very tasty. We also picked up a few breakfast burritos as well for us all tomorrow at the Air B&B. Order at the counter and they deliver it to your table. Fun place."

I admit I am a bit of a taco snob. That being said, this place is legit. Modern Latino feel, counter service but friendly service nonetheless. Fillings are great. Had the asada, bang-bang shrimp, pork belly and chicken Azteca. Full of flavor with variety of home made salsas. Rita's are delicious-top shelf was a favorite. Suggestions to make this a 5-star review: better corn tortillas worthy of the filling and roasted corn for the elote.

Easily one of the best taco places. You can't go wrong with anything here. They marinate and cook their meats so wonderfully! My top 2 tacos are the carne asada and pastor. Their chicken is also really good, it is super flavorful and not dry at all! Every time I come here they're always super busy, but worry not their lines move really quickly. Oh and don't forget to get some churros for a sweet treat!

We were so hungry I didn't even take the picture of the rest of the food we got. There were 4 of us and we sat right at the bar and got the best service. We stared of with a shot that came in a little mason jar looking jug, it tasted delicious. We have 2 drinks each before we went on to eat 3 different tacos. My friends ordered both the octopus ones and I had the duck and beef.We also got a an order of the Mexican street corn with was delicious.Strong recommendation to go for happy hour as your bill can climb pretty fast, but nonetheless a left Deep Ellum wanting to go back for more!

This place is fun year round due to the awesome vibe, but their holiday pop-up bar is one of the best! It felt like celebrating Christmas on the beach. The spiked cocoa, frosty rita, and jingle juice drinks were fabulous. The frosty rita immediately transported me to a beach chair under an umbrella - so good! They all come in fun glasses, and you can buy any mug/glass for $20. I bought the Santa coffee mug since it holds 15 ounces plus the snowman from the rita because it's too cool to miss. The hot Cheetos elote are always on point and the best app! I love this place so much. That's all.

"Final review, to average out my visits. I'll just say, when they're good, they are excellent. I've had a couple of blips but they will make it right. Definitely give them a try."
"Great late night spot for some street tacos. Not the best when it is hot out since there is no indoor seating but still a great taco. Tuesday is the best time to go and save some money. I recommend the OMG pork tacos. The service is relatively quick, just depends on how busy it is."
"It was my work besties birthday and we were treating her to lunch and she chose Velvet Taco. Honestly I had been here before and wasn't pleased with my meal but I took one for the team and decided to give it another try. I was trying to follow a dirty keto diet regimen and I was happy to see that lettuce wrapped tacos were offered. Needless to say I'm glad I gave it another try as I absolutely loved my meal. I order every time my coworker goes."
"If anything, the food just gets better every time we go. Todays was no exception. I tried the country fries instead of hash browns. Best ever, crispy on the outside while melty inside and hot, right from the skillet. Prompt service with a smile as wellLove the piano on the weekend btw. A bit loud but one can always request a table away from it. I saw one review where a person walked in and left because of the piano, then left a 1* review. Not cool. This is a family run place that relies on word of mouth and reviews on Yelp and Google. Way to drag it down"
"This is a self service counter and its cute but no frills. The tables could have all used a wipe down and it wasnt busy. The tacos come all the way but you are charged for sour cream with the quesadilla. The staff was pleasant and they offer everyone a free bowl of delicious bean soup"
"After living in the DFW area for a decade, we finally made our way to Velvet Taco this past Saturday evening.Overall, the food tasted great but there were some hiccups for sure.Service- 1/5 star. They forgot to give us the queso we ordered as an appetizer. The family in front of us got theirs... but ours they just forgot? I had to ask when picking up our tacos from the counter.Additionally, the tables were GROSS. What a mess. Literally it was as if they never cleaned. We watched one woman ask them to clean her table and honestly, i dont blame her.Food- 4/5 stars. The food tasted fresh, but man was it messy. It fell apart without any plates to catch the food coming out of the loaded tacos. We saw others putting down paper towels on the tables to catch the mess and they had the right idea. Just a waste of the fillings that fell out.I got two tacos and my husband got three along with queso to share. Next time we know that its wayyy too much food- haha. I will stick with one taco and queso and he said he would only have two.We both agreed the #12 brisket taco was by far THE BEST. My husband also liked the paneer taco a lot. We also enjoyed the queso blanco with the blue corn chips too.We look forward to trying it again! (And to note, this is far superior to Torchy's in quality)."
"One of my favorite places for birria, it's a classic hole in the wall spot, the people working here are always super friendly and welcoming. The place smells like cheap cleaner, small and simple joint, the vibe here feels like you're about to have an authentic Mexican food. I love their salsa bar, their salsa verde is especially delicious creamy, zesty, and perfectly balanced. Crispy pierna taco is a must. The crunch is on point, super cheesy and the flavors in that taco are so satisfying. But don't sleep on the chicharrones taco, either. It's another stand out that will have you coming back for more. Even though this place can get a little pricey, the flavor and quality really justify it. Now, my go to order is always the crispy taco paired with a bowl of birria ramen. I love dipping the super cheesy crispy taco into the birria broth it's a flavor explosion. If you've never tried birria here, I promise it's a game changer. The combination of the cheesy taco and the broth is something you've got to experience at least once."
"Late night stop for some great tacos. Fresh ingredients delicious taste. Everything looks amazing. I was jealous watching other ppl getting their food. Can't wait to try other items from the menu next time."
"Btwn grapevine high school and a trailer park.. older stripShopping center with a coin laundry convenience mart and one other Hispanic business. Clean inside , has online ordering just wish I would've loved the tacos . Ordered Al pastor, barbacoa, carnitas and fajita steak. If I had to come again I'd order Al pastor . But I'd have to be starving and close by"
"This is the definition of a hidden gem. It's tucked away in a little shopping center that is usually packed with people trying to buy some meat at the Hispanic meat market. I lived in Carrollton until I was 26ish and I never once saw this place! There a fruit market called Fruit Net and "next door" is Don Tacos- but there's no wall in between. That's correct- the same place you get your tacos you can stand in a separate line and order elote in a cup (Mexican corn in a cup), different fresh fruit combos or any one of what feels like 10,000 options that add sweet condensed milk, yogurt, nuts and happiness. Back to Don Tacos. There's lots of taco options. All delicious! Def recommend! We'll be back!"
"This is a GEM of a restuarant. Several things make it that way. The food is sublime and the flavors rich and complex....I am sure the tacos are good but honestly get one of these specials - I got Guiso a La Veracruz Guajillo Stew - very good and verde enchiladas . even the Guacamole was excellent. I would have like to have fresh tortillas but you know that is another thing.the service and the family that runs the place are super nice and friendly. Our server Antono was great and dished out recommendations that were 100% accurate.one other thing makes it very nice is the free secured parking in a very busy neighborhood"
"Overall, I'd rate this place a solid 4.5. The only issue is that there is no inside seating. Parking is horrible and the wait is 15-20min. If you can get past that, they are the best tacos I've had in Dallas. The tacos are made to order, the ingredients are fresh, and the portions of meat are great for the price. They have a large menu that caters to Mexican food lovers. I'd definitely give it a try if you haven't!"
"We had the fiery chicken tacos, the K-beef tacos, the Birria tacos and the loaded fries with chicken tenders. The loaded fries and fiery chicken tacos were a hit! I wish there was more chicken tenders in the fries though. The K beef tacos were super flavorful but were difficult to eat as a taco as there was more filling than taco shell. It looked like it was a bunch of beef on a plate but then I realized it was the taco."
"Great service and delicious food! I highly recommend this place. It is a cute, but smaller restaurant, so maybe try to get there early to get a table. If there's a wait, it is totally worth it, I assure you. We ordered the empanadas, Tapatios, Rellenado de Res, Tablitas, Milo's Tacos and Chile Relleno. Every item was so good! The chips and salsa were addicting and the rice and beans were fantastic. We don't eat pork, so we opted for the black beans and they did not disappoint. We will definitely be back!"
"Great cheap and fast bites! Although $5 is pricey for a taco it does have an elevated fusion flavor to it. I got the spicy tikki chicken taco and it came with with and sauces. It was great! If it had a touch of less sauce it'd be perfect.Seating was open, surprisingly clean, and quick as well as service during a late evening. Would recommend this place for food if your hungry past midnight"
"The food here is amazing, seasoned delicious food made with love. It's in the cut but it's a nice roomy restaurant. I just moved out here from Los Angeles and it reminds me of home. I'm recommending this place to anyone looking for delicious food."
"We love Velvet Taco in Allen! It's a delicious spot where we enjoy eating their flavorful tacos and dining alfresco. This new location is both convenient and fast. Like other Velvet Taco locations, they offer excellent online ordering, making it easy to order ahead and dine there. Our favorite tacos include the Fish and Chips and the Mexicali Shrimp. All their tacos are packed with flavor and variety, making every visit a treat"
"Talk about a great find. I was getting donuts at Gram's next door when I overheard a customer saying they were also getting tacos at La Paisanita. I had no idea such AMAZING tacos were so close by. $1.85 per taco$7.49 for 3 taco plate + rice and beans$12.99 per pound of meat Sell Fajita (beef), Pastor (Pork), Pollo (chicken), Barbacoa (Mexican BBQ), and Lengua (tongue). The Barbacoa tacos are so unbelievably good, they weren't greasy or slimy and no chunks of fat. It was just deliciously seasoned and cooked meat made to perfection. An absolute must with corn tortillas! The beef was also good, but not as seasoned and kind of dry- just ok. The chicken was greasy and pooled- wouldn't get again. I got the 3 taco plate which wasn't worth it in my opinion. The beans were watery and the rice is bland. Better to buy more tacos then waste money on rice and beans. Also, they gave one red and one green sauce. The red sauce is definitely super spicy so here is your warning. I usually like extra sauce on my tacos but they charge .25 cents more for extras. However, one of each was more than enough for my three tacos. Definitely will come again. Would like to try their breakfast tacos next!! They take phone orders. I ordered with a friend at 11:30 am and the line was already long with 5 people quickly getting behind us and two people ahead. Even with a crowd of people forming, it took less than 10 minutes to get both of our orders! Pretty fast service."
"I love dock local! Every time hubby and I come to legacy hall to eat this is our first stop! There portions are huge here compared to cousins and other seafood spots in Vegas where we're from. You definitely get your moneys worth! His favorite is the lobster rolls, he dips it in fresh butter and its chefs kiss. I love the lobster bisque, lobster grilled cheese and the seasonal crawfish platter, which they always have around Madi gras! They are all so filling, this is the best food spot in legacy hall imo. The service is always friendly and quick, don't skip Dock local when you're in Plano!"
"There are two of these places located not even a minute drive from one another. Decided to try the one that had more parking spaces available. Smelled so good once we got inside the place! It took longer to decide what to order than to actually get our order. Not even a minute after sitting down, they had our food ready. The tacos looked and smelled good! I like that they really loaded the tacos. They had 4 different salsas to try at each table. My favorite was the creamy green salsa. The workers keep the place clean. They wipe down the tables and sweep after a party leaves immediately. Would definitely recommend! Tacos were a 9/10"
"The Force is strong in this location. I've Traveled from Stewjon to Coruscant to Naboo, and never had anything so exquisite! Tacos 10/10. Quesos 10/10. Red velvet 10/10. Staff always 11/10. Che, you will be missed here. May the Force be with you on your next journey."
"Ordered a steak taco plate. It was very flavorful. It came out quick. They run a special Mon- Fri and they honored that price even though it was Sunday. These are small street tacos with rice and beans. For the price it was really good."
"I love this taco shop. It is fast, convenient and reasonably priced. We eat here for lunch, dinner and late night (very busy).Barbacoa tacos, chicken quesadillas and churros are our go to! They also have boba lolThe green sauce is hot but sooooo good"
