Almost immediately, my server made her way to my table, welcomed me, offered a few drink suggestions and left me to peruse the menu...just the right vibe!In that Texas heat, I just opted for some iced water. I decided to it simple and order garlic parm wings and mozzarella sticks. The wings were seasoned and cooked to perfection! I can't stand a wing that is too crispy, but that wasn't an issue here! They were cooked just right, juicy and flavorful! The mozzarella sticks were Texas sized! My picture doesn't do justice, but they were the size of an average egg roll! I definitely got my big back on and crushed them! Dipping them in the marinara sauce hit the spot!"

"Hello Yelpers. 2025 is upon us, new year, new experiences. My niece was flying out to Vegas, so fav uncle and cousin had the privilege of seeing her off.She flew out Southwest @Love field. We had time for brunch. Open up Yelp to see if anyone has found a spot.Of course you have. Maple Landing. I love plane spotting. The patio at Maple Landing perfectly faces the take off path of Southwest Airlines. The service is incredible. No sooner than seated, our beverage orders were taken. Some great suggestions were offered. They had brisket sausage. Yes, for brunch. I had the fluffiest french toast, with a ginormous pile of the plumpest, juiciest fresh blueberries ever. My eggs were a perfect over medium. My son ordered pancakes. To be honest, as big as they were, one would have been plenty. Super light, rose high enough to block a planes take off. Topped with caramalized bananas, nothing needed syrup. Best of all was the service. Every aspect of this experience was 6 star. Yelp has kind of spoiled me. I know know what to expect, and where to find it. The food and service was 5 star. The patio view of others flying off to great adventures earned a 6th star. Hope you each make it out here to experience this for yourselves."

Located right outside the American Airlines Center at PNC Plaza across from the statue of Dirk, Hero is a great place to go before and during a Dallas Mavericks or Stars Game.My Overall Rating - 4 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return)Atmosphere - On game day (only time I've been), the atmosphere is electric. Fans are outside the plaza, inside the restaurant, and the doors are open to welcome you in. Inside is a sports fan's paradise. There are a plethora of flat screen TVs everywhere, tons of seating (booth/table/bar), and a cool bar with a video board that wraps around it 360 degrees. 1 Star.Service - I arrived early 5:30 (game at 7:30), and while they weren't busy, they were slow. As gametime grew closer, Hero filled up and service was even slower. The staff was super nice, just slow. 1/2 Star.Food - It's a sports bar with sports bar food. We started with the Super Bowl Nachos with ground beef. The huge portion was easily sharable within my party of three. There were generous portions of everything. But in the end, it was still just nachos. I went with the chicken strips, which were very good. The strips were a big size, were hot and juicy, and came with tasty tater tots. The tots were excellent. Not greasy, crisp on the outside and piping hot on the inside. The tots were the hit of my meal. The only negative was the pricing. There's a cost to the location (and inflation). Our meal was $90 for nachos, two sandwiches, and my chicken strips. Still - I was very satisfied with my meal. 1 1/2 Stars.Will I Return? - Yes. I wouldn't return for the food, but I would return for the atmosphere and location. Hero is right next to Dirk, the AAC, and is a great place to go if you want to soak in a full game day. 1 Star."

"You're supposed to seat yourself so I did. Was greeted as I walked to a table. Then crickets. Took my drink order then crickets again. After I got my drink, he left. Came back and asked if I wanted to order food. I'm not sitting at the bar... So yeah, it would seem like I would want food to go with my iced tea. Was about to leave when the waiter came to take my order. Couple who came it after me -- greeted right away, drink order taken and brought out, took order right away. Oh, they got their sandwiches and fries while my potato skins were still in the kitchen.What started as three tables of customers on that side of the restaurant ended up as six tables with me being the only single diner. The nice thing about single diners at lunch is that they don't tend to linger. I could have eaten, paid and left quickly. I had hope when the waiter asked me as he was going into the kitchen if I wanted ranch or sour cream with those potato skins. Sour cream, a very simple item. After a half hour and no food, I left cash for my drink and left. I told my waiter who was ringing something up that I was leaving and that it was unclear how people who came in after me were already midway through their meal. He's like "you're good". No, I'm not good. While my shirt had the name of another city on it, I live here. However, this is one place I'll never bother returning to. That's 30 minutes of my life that I'll never get back."

She stated that there was a crowd but she'd do her best to get to us quickly and she did the entire time we were there. No complaints on service at all. We got drinks (Ocean Water and Union Bear Blonde - we loved them) and the cheese bites for a starter (cheese bites were great, they have a teeny bit of kick, unexpected but just the right amount.) I ordered the salmon and my wife got the chicken and waffles. Lots of video screens showing the games.We grabbed a table and people watched! The regulars were having a wonderful time! I even saw regulars from other establishments I frequent! We had an appetizer (Jersey Sliders) and then ordered a couple of pizzas. Service and speed was really good, but keep in mind, it wasn't crowded at that point. Our food was exceptionally good. The sliders were OUTSTANDING! The pizzas were the stars of the night. They had the right amount of ingredients and were baked long enough to burst some of the veggies on top and melt the cheese. The crust was perfectly baked and a good flavor. As we were finishing paying our check the crowd had quadrupled and the place was packed with many obvious regulars by the way they all were getting along."

Not my usual go to drink, but I need something with a little sweetness and tartness. The problem with these type martinis is that they can be a little too sweet. This was made with love! Perfect!The bartender asked me to be a Guinea pig while she created her very own version of a key lime pie martini! My favorite dessert in a glass! Divine! I'll be ordering that next time.The prices made the pockets happy, no complaints. Was less than $20 for 2 drinks (tip included). Will be back!"

"Parking is ample for the corner piece that it is, step inside it is a really decent looking setup with about 15 High tables in about six or seven regular seating tables as well as the stools in front of the bar I'd say about 15 seats as well.Only reason for the mediocre rating and it's probably a four-star rating but a nice bar like this doesn't have tomato juice to make a Bloody Mary or any kind of cream or coconut blend to make a pina colada? They are not that hard and maybe they have the vodka and Gins and such.Jacob was taking care of us and he's an exceptionally friendly person and made decent suggestions that I'm glad he was able to tell us.My friend had a sangria which was a little strong and sweet which was the target for that and I got a hold of a dollar beer that they're trying to get rid of which actually tasted good and smooth. One weird thing is going to the men's restrooms as you open a door there are the urinals right in front of the door so if you ladies will like a peep show just casually walk past there or close your eyes whichever turns your fancy but terrible design.I'm probably going against the grain with this review but expect a little more out of it but who's to say that this isn't a place you need to at least visit once."

And please spend some time looking at the pictures on the walls, they managed to keep the fun of Milo's and add some pop culture necessities (watch out for that next step, it's a doozy). For a timely staple in Dallas that needed a much needed facelift, I know we were all worried that this was going to be changed too much with the new owners but that is NOT what happened here, they put so much life back into it to keep it alive for more generations to enjoy what generations before have loved about it without losing the charm. Oh and the bathrooms!!!! Chef kiss!"

"Family Lunch, this month is Ireland. My family is Irish so this was a fun place for us to gather. This is a cute little place tucked away in a strip mall. It was smaller than I expected, but very authentic looking. There seemed to be only one guy serving tables and tending the bar and while it wasn't packed he was busier than a one armed paper hanger. His service was great considering he seemed overwhelmed. The food was good, I have never had fried green beans, not sure if that is a typical Irish appetizer, but they were unique and very tasty. I was craving some fish and chips and the reviews were good so my daughter and I ordered them. We both found them a bit greasy but hey, it's fried fish. The chips (french fries) we incredible, very crisp and extra tasty. It seemed like there was some sort of batter on them. My son got the Ruben sandwich, he said it was good, son in law got the Shepard's pie. He said it was good but the dish it came in was very shallow and seemed to be mostly mashed potatoes. We loved the atmosphere and enjoyed the food in spite of the poor guy trying to hold down the fort on his own."
