"I was at the doctor, and decided to get something to eat. This place didn't disappoint it was very unique, very much a hole in the wall. I ordered the brisket, mac and cheese and greens burrito. The place is small but luckily they have one table because that thing was not making it home, it looked and smelled amazing and was it good. I am definitely coming back to try more variations on the burritos and all the other food. I haven't made recommendations on yelp in a while, because I haven't been this impressed in quite a while.After covid so much stuff was expensive and mediocre not bruchaholics. Thanks for amazing food. The service was super friendly and very fast."

Just make sure you're ready with your order when you reach the front.I finally decided on the pork chops, and they were juicy and seasoned to perfection. But let me tell you, the real showstoppers were the dressing and the pinto beans. Both were absolute perfection--seasoned just right and bursting with flavor. Honestly, all of the sides were incredible! I had macaroni and cheese, yams, and greens, and every single bite was amazing. My daughter got the fried chicken dinner, with four big, juicy, and well-seasoned pieces of chicken. My other daughter went for the veggie plate and loved the corn. My niece chose the barbecue three-meat plate, and we all shared desserts--a slice of lemon cake and German chocolate cake. Every single thing was fantastic.We came here for a soul food dinner after church, and Sweet Georgia Brown delivered in every way. "Food; I heard about this restaurant after a popular IG/YouTuber raved about it. I got the all seafood showstopper. The total was $30.74 including tax. My dish was essentially mashed potatoes with shrimp/ crawfish. Nothing else was prevalent although I don't doubt it was possibly present. The sauce/flavor was good but the whole dish was runny and unfulfilling. To be fair, I was expecting blacken salmon & shrimp over mashed potatoes with cream sauce. (more on this miscommunication later).Service; I placed a phone order around 2pm on a Saturday. The lady taking my order was uninformed about the menu. I asked if the showstopper included salmon in the all seafood option & she replied YES. FYI; It does NOT!!!!! Or my order was incorrect. However, after witnessing the busy counter and pickup window, waiting 20 minutes in line to pay and the utter confusion of the staff, I was simply ready to get out of there lol..Ambiance; I was told my order would be ready for pickup in about 30/40 minutes. When I arrived there was a huge crowd inside so I called again to confirm my order was ready for pickup. It was over 100 degrees and my dog was in the car, I wanted to confirm I could be in and out bc I didn't want him to overheat. Great thing my order was ready, HOWEVER, there isn't a way to pay at the pickup window, and so I went to wait in a very long line lol...I would HIGHLY recommend you pay ahead of time OR just order while there to avoid this hassle! Tips for a better experience; Avoid peak times ie-weekends, Place and pay order online, (unfortunately uber was showing sold out when i tried) and I think the miscommunication from the employee came from it being too loud for her to hear. Thus, take your time to know the menu/what you're getting because the menu isn't very specific. Verdict; As always just check it out for yourself! No place is busy for no reason & the owner seems very genuine & personable."

I had a kids meal with Mac & cheese and mash potatoes with cream gravy. The Mac & cheese had really good flavor and was creamy. The potato's had some skin left on and the gravy had real bacon in it. The kids meal comes with a drink. My fiancé got the daily special which is $3 cheaper than regular price. He got the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and corn. The chicken was cooked just right not dry at all the breading was crispy and had a good flavor. We split the banana pudding and it had chucks of banana in it and was so yummy! I hope we make it back sooner and not wait so long."

"Came here around 1 AM during the Grand Opening weekend. I was expecting to try the mozzarella sticks covered in Hot Cheetos, but was told they only had a limited menu. I ended up getting the AJ Sammy's meal, and even met one of the co-owners as I was eating the food. He seemed very passionate about the business and indicated he would be here everyday. When I did enter though a hour before closing time, the restaurant was half full. The cashier told me that if I liked spice, I should get a level 4. I did, and I regretted getting it because it was pretty spicy for me. I was really grateful for the free ice cream cone. Recommend you give these guys a try!"

"I was on a mad hunt to find soul food this past Sunday that included some of my favorites like Oxtails, mac n' cheese, potato salad, candy yams. I called in first and they confirmed that they didn't have any Oxtails or potato salad however we decided to venture over anyway. The line can be quite long, and the establishment is quite small. We ordered to go expecting about a 20-30 min. wait since the food is made to order. We ordered the rotisserie chicken, candy yams and mac n' cheese (not to share) lol he ordered somewhere else. Once we got the food home it was still fairly warm, everything was flavorful the mac n' cheese could have used a bit more cheese and creamier but this is due to taste, and I like my yams a bit sweeter, also due to taste. The chicken was very moist and juicy! Over all the food here is pretty good one serving of all mentioned was about $22.00."

"Me and my wife normally look for restaurants we've never eaten at when we come to Dallas or the DFW metroplex. One of my good friends and his wife who live in DFW metroplex will meet us wherever we choose. Well this place was on point and the food was very and great. They were very patient with us and helped us decide what to order. Once the server explained everything my friend got the pigs feet and I got the oxtails. Wow, both of us were very impressed with the consistency of taste in the meat and vegetables. I will definitely add this to my list of see ya next time. The weather was a bit chilly but if it wasn't outside would have been the best option to sit and eat."

"I ignored the reviews and decided to give this food truck a try. I ordered online. When I arrived, there still was a 20 minute wait. Not too surprising considering the type of food being cooked. It's not like it's a taco stand. People were constantly driving up, so I'm not the only one who felt it was worth trying (or repeat customers). I ordered the pasta with grilled shrimp and steak bites. They were nice enough to separate the dish into 2 different meals. I also did the build a box the fried red snapper, fried lobster, mac and cheese and yams. Delish. The snapper? Seasoned and fried to perfection. The lobster tail was huge. Fried just right, not dried out. The sides were good. The taste of the yams were different but not in a bad way. Pastas? On point. Not an inexpensive meal, but worth it. Try it for yourself. Go knowing you may have to wait a few."

The area in which we were seated wasn't conducive to eating since the tables were so small. We had to bend down to eat which isn't ideal but it worked out.Our server was kind and attentive. I ordered the Loaded French toast but requested the ingredients on the side. It was literally the best French toast I've ever had. The white cream sauce was amazing and the perfect touch. The chicken wings were superb. I didn't personally try the southern catch but my bestie enjoyed it. The only downside was that the food wasn't hot or was lukewarm. I'm a foodie and prefer my food fresh so that was a bummer. All in all I'd go back and try it again. FYI: I highly recommend making a reservation."

"I decided to see what new soul food restaurants would pop up and I came upon Kendall's. I had pretty good reviews and the poor reviews were due to new restaurant hiccups seemingly. The restaurant is easy to find, it's in front of a bus stop! Parking is relegated to meters or garage parking. When I dined, homeless people were loitering in front of the restaurant; one asked me to buy them food on my way out. Going into the restaurant, I was greeted by the chef, and we chopped it a bit about where we're from. He's from Ohio. I perused the menu and selected the fried catfish with a fried drumstick; for the side, I went with fries. My wife went with the oxtails with sweet potatoes and mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the green wasn't ready yet. I do wish the menu had prices listed, I had to ask about the prices. I paid $24 for the oxtails and about $18 for the other entree.The oxtails were delicious, the flavor was savory, and the meat was tender. The pieces were fatty and it would have been nice to have more. I think you can pay to add more pieces if you wish, however. The sweet potatoes were too sweet for us, and the Mac and cheese was good, but I could taste the roux that was used to make the mac and cheese; if you don't like your mac and cheese, just be mindful of this. However, the flavor was good, and it was well-cooked and cheesy. The rice was flavorful. The catfish was perfectly fried, seasoned well, and very tasty. It was very hot and stayed firm when I picked it up to eat with my hands. These fillets were large, and I was served 2 pieces. I liked this meal a lot! The fries were good, too. The fried chicken was fried perfectly. The skin had a nice flavor,r, and the temperature was ouof t the grease hot. However, I agree with the famous food critic Keith Lee that the fried chicken is at 7.5. I would come back here!"

"BEST BBQ IN FORT WORTH!Today was my first visit to Smoke-a-Holics and it won't be my last. They know exactly how to smoke some ribs and brisket. And so happy I came when they have collard greens cause they're some of the best I ever had. The smothered pork chops at Cafe Delicious are the best I've ever had with the exception of those my grandfather (Papa) the ex-Mess Sergeant, used to prepare for Sunday lunch after church. I actually picked up the bone, chewed off every little tiny scrap of meat I could find and then sucked off all the gravy. The bone was left on my plate like a bony finger of death pointing back at me taunting "Yeah...that's the stuff that's going to get you in the end." Troof, Death, troof. Lunch plates are one meat, three sides and a bread. Sweet merciful Southern crap the sides were the best ever. I had cabbage with a side of cheese, mac-n-cheese, black-eyed peas and jalapeno cornbread. Everything was great. The cabbage was so amazing that I didn't need the cheese sauce. It had a spicy bite to it. I loved it as much as I did my pork chop. My munchkin had the fried catfish, mashed potatoes, green beans and fry bread. If you've never had fry bread (hot water bread) you need to. My mom used to make it so I know I love it. Bread in cornmeal deep fried. My step dad is Choctaw and we used to have fry bread as my mother's attempt to preserve his culture. Forget that his mom actually made sourdough biscuits, but you can't blame her for trying. Either way, the fry bread is also amazing. My cornbread was really good to. The fried catfish was also a huge winner. It was not fishy at all. Loved it. They also had pigs feet, oxtail, meatloaf, baked chicken, butter beans--etc. Everything looked really good and everything I tasted was top notch. The folks behind the counter couldn't have been any nicer. Super friendly and they knew their Southern food! I love this place. I would say it's the best meal I've had in months--and I've eaten some great food this month. GO! Go now! Their credit card machine is down so take cash. And eat a lot! They give you huge portions. I absolutely love this place and cannot say enough nice things about it."
