If you like Mexican music then this is a fun place to hang out with family and friends. Pros:-Service -Food Prices -Music Cons:-Parking can get full quick if busy -The size of the shop is a little small but enough to seat many customers We tried the Tostadas de Camarón: a little spicy, but you can ask for the Chile off, they have too much tomato, plenty of shrimp and very tasty and fresh. We also tried the Camarón al mojo del ajo: the rice is too salty, the camarones are good but not a special flavor, so I wouldn't order it again. Overall, this is a good place to try out if you're in the mood for seafood that is conveniently priced and tasty. They can work with large parties and the ambiance is family friendly and casual. It is good for lunch or dinner."

"I was so excited to try this location out, since I am a big fan of this franchise! I've been to the garland and Carrollton location, and both places are good in its own way. But this location is the best out of the 3 in my opinion. Service was amazing! Kevin and Layla were both incredible and very provided top notch service. The food was delicious as well! We got snow crab, crawfish, and garlic noodles! Definitely would recommend trying this place out. I love that it's much closer to my apartment, so I will be here soon :)"

"I was skeptical when I read all the bad reviews, and saw the pictures of food in Styrofoam. Im a food snob gringo by any definition, and hate wasting time and calories on aggressively mediocre food. But I went anyway and am so glad I did. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. I had the garlic mojarra, and I'm dead serious that it is the best fish dish I have had in Texas. It came out assertively crispy, which made me concerned that the fish would be dried to a chewy meh. Every bite was silky succulent to the very last morsel. Mid way through, when it came time to flip it over, I was concerned that the luscious fish would make the underside exterior soggy and gummy. Nope, it absorbed the fishy goodness and kept it's satisfying crunch. I can't explain why my experience is so different than other reviews, but if you have the same experience I did, you'll be looking for how soon you can be back!"

She went above and beyond to tailor our recommendations to my tastes, ensuring I had the perfect seasonal dish.The overall atmosphere was just as inviting as the food, with an interior that felt like a quaint French Bistro, adding to the overall dining experience. But, my imaginary -.5 comes from the reservation/seating process. Despite having a reservation for two, we ended up waiting for over an hour to be seated. The hostess seemed overwhelmed, struggling with both the online booking system and managing the influx of customers. This disorganization was frustrating and put a dent in what could have been a flawless experience. The other ding is the A/C when I visited in July it was out and I lost at least a pound in sweat; there was no warning/heads up but, hoping it's since been fixed."

The tables were clean but when we went there, a good number of dirty napkins were scattered on the ground. It would be dangerous if someone slipped on it."

"Ixtapa Bay Mariscos... To start off the place wasn't difficult to find. Parking is on their lot and spacious. My boyfriend, and three friends of mine went on a Monday, it was everyones first time. The place wasn't crowded at all. We entered and we were the only customers their, it took a while until someone came to sit us down but no biggie. We all ordered our drinks and the drinks came out pretty fast, we had chips and salsa to snack on while we waited for our food. I ordered a small shrimp cocktail that cost $8.49 and my boyfriend ordered a chimichanga plate for $7.95. (We all agreed our food tasted good) All in all the the customer service was good and the place was nice and clean."

"I love supporting independent eateries, and Big Taco is a welcome addition to the McKinney restaurant scene, especially since the closure of Del Sur. It's been a bit of a bummer not having an authentic Mexican eatery on the west side of town, but luckily, Big Taco has filled that void.The only downside is that it's a counter service restaurant and lacks full service. While we usually opt out for counter service, we gave it a shot, and although we missed the option to sit at a bar, the experience was still worth it. I sampled the fish and shrimp tacos--absolutely amazing! My husband, who tends to stick to the classics, enjoyed the nachos.Despite the absence of a bar and full service, the delicious and authentic Mexican meals will keep us coming back for more. Big Taco is a hidden gem on the west side, and we're thrilled to have such a flavorful spot in the neighborhood."

My waiter was great very quick but I also came during a non peak time so I can't speak to how quick they are during a rush. The ambiance is super cute. Low led lighting. Photo board. Size wise it's on the quaintish side. I can see how it could get crowded and I'm not sure if it could hosts a party but maybe against the wall seating. For the city of sunny vale and it's surrounding residents, it definitely a good addition to the city. The fish was good as well. It had a kick to it which I wasn't expecting but I likely didn't read the menu close enough. Still tasty. Definitely would come again"

"So I passed by this chicken spot a few times not really realizing it's there. I was in the mood for corn fritters and churches and kfc don't have, so it dawn on me to try this place. I never had Louisiana Fried chicken so didn't know what to expect beside Louisiana be known for spices. I got the 3 piece chicken with corn fritter and another side of fritters with dirty rice. The fritters was good, the chicken was batter nicely and had nice seasoning spice to it. The rice didn't see to pack a punch, but still good. There's other stuff I have to try also, but overall 4-4.5 stars. I would good back ."

"In the area from out of town on our anniversary, and found this amazing place for brunch. First of all hopefully you get Mandy as your server, she is fabulous! I had the carne asada omelette, the streak was grilled to perfection and the egg was very fluffy. Paired with the cheese and peppers it was delicious! My wife got the chicken schnitzel special, all I can say is I hope this gets added to the menu! We also had a side of biscuits with the fig jam, I wanted a bottle of that jam.
