"I'm from out of town and wanted to try this Italian restaurant. It did not disappoint! I loved the old world atmosphere and the food was excellent. I had a salad with blue cheese and lasagna. one of the best lasagnas I've ever had. Wish there was one of these in Colorado. Friendly, competent service as well."
"Ordered takeout from Partenope Ristorante, and let me just say--this pizza was phenomenal! The crust had that perfect Neapolitan-style char, crispy on the outside yet light and airy inside. The toppings were fresh and flavorful, with just the right balance of heat and richness. Every bite was packed with deliciousness!Even as takeout, the quality held up perfectly--no soggy crust, just pure, authentic pizza goodness. If you're in Dallas and craving top-tier pizza, this spot is a must! I'll definitely be ordering again."
"Never a bad time at Taverna! The staff is great and knowledgeable and I've never had a bad dish. Prices are fair as well. Every table has a purse stand!! Every restaurant should have these!! I love going on a nice day when I can sit outside or on the convertible patio."
"So good per usual! Had to go order bc I was too lazy to cook before Christmas. Had Cesar salad, strozzapreti, and a hot honey pizza. Everything was good. Love how different their Cesar salad is, they give you the whole lettuce leaves. Definitely try the strozzapreti if you love mushrooms. I think it had chicken in it. Parking is hard to find so you either need to pick up order before or after lunch crowd."
"Pizza and calzones have always been on point. They have some good speciality pizzas like the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The calzone was ~$11 with pepperoni. Some of the speciality pizzas can get a little pricey Staff was friendly and had plenty of space to sit down and eat while I assume it has a lot of takeout business."
"If you are looking for a good NY style slice in the DFW area you should do yourself a huge favor and check out Bay34th St. The slices are pretty close to what you get in NYC, they are sauced and cheesed excellently and the dough has the wonderful blend of crispy and chewy. They offer specialty pies if you're into that sort of thing, but you can't go wrong with the classic cheese or pepperoni. Ordered a few pies for a party and they arrived right on time. Excellent service and delicious pizza, what more can you ask for."
"For traditional American style pizza, this place is tops! We got the house special without the red onions, and it was excellent. Easily among the best pizzas in Carrollton. This is the second time we've gotten pizza here. The first time was equally good.We also got the baklava... Very authentic and tasty. Can't wait to try the gyros next time."
"Don't walk. Run to this place!! I can't believe I missed the days when they were in Dallas. Now I gotta drive to Grapevine but honestly, it's worth it. The restaurant is located in a thriving area. We parked close to the train station, walked through the downtown area for fun and then we were at Sauce'd in less than 15 minutes. They do have their own parking lot but we wanted to explore the area. The restaurant wasn't the cleanest and we had a long wait (without proper seating) but those aspects pale in comparison to how good the food is. We got pizza and burgers. Both were deliciousss. We got fries as an appetizer. They crispy and nicely seasoned. We will definitely be back!"
"I've been coming here for 2 years now. It's mine & Bijou's once a month spot. I love the crust. It's the perfect combination of chewy on the inside & crispy on the outside. The pizza sauce is perfect. I love their salad too. I hate the red peppers they have on it but you can modify it. They have the best Italian dressing for their salads imo. The fountain drinks are free & they have a complimentary beer keg in the fridge with frozen glasses in the freezer. It's a very small space but I love it. I bring Bijou (when weather permits) to their outdoor patio."
"Went with a small group and it was great. You order at the counter so it is easy to split the check. The staff is amazing and we all felt very comfortable hanging out and having beers/ciders and pizza, and wings. Let's start with the pizza. The pizzas have an amazing light and airy crust and the toppings are premium and plentiful. The cheese was so stretchy! Not too much sauce. We devoured both our pizzas. We got wings as well. The Buffalo wings had a nice medium heat level and the Asian chili & garlic were amazing. The wings were smoked and you can taste that. It sets them apart from typical wings. The wings were a good size as well. For dessert we got a smores pie to go. To quote my adult daughter "the best thing I have ever ate". I highly recommend this place. I would eat here every week if I lived close"

Well buongiorno, this pizza was more authentically Italian than my great-grandmother from Italy. That first bite was so scrumptious it nearly gave me a stroke not unlike the one she passed away from. And most certainly do not miss on the Nutella sandwiches for dessert, if you plan on feeling a fraction of the ascent to heaven my late great-grandmother likely experienced. God rest her soul and god rest my ravenous appetite so that I may remain thin after remembering this place exists. Amen.

I think this place has stolen the spot in my heart for my favorite Italian restaurant. My partner & I came here to celebrate our anniversary & they did not disappoint! We ordered the pesto pizza, lasagna & chicken parm & were beyond impressed with all 3. You could definitely tell this food was made with love. Our server was also incredibly friendly & even plated our pizza slices for us. I'm a sucker for a cute aesthetic & the ivy/grape decor added a little extra flare.Oh & did I mention they were so affordable? This place is hard to beat

It's very very good food for sure - in my opinion a little overpriced but it's the area. The tables are extremely close together and it gets super loud so it ruins what could be a romantic evening. If they got rid of 25% of the tables it would be far less cramped. Love the patio area! Overall I really like this place. I had the paglia e fieno which was tagliatelle pasta with chicken, mushrooms, and a truffle cream sauce. It was honestly some of the best pasta I've had! Fairly good wine choices as well.

This is a belated review from our brunch experience during Restaurant Week, but I think most of these menu items should be on the regular menu.First of all, it was SO MUCH FOOD for the money. I highly recommend you check them out if they participate again next year.We started out with the cacio e pepe arancini and the banana coffee cake, which is SO GOOD. It was like dessert. The arancini were also delicious. I liked the pesto aioli it came with. Then we had the Pollo Fritto and Breakfast Rosa Pizza. I thought the pollo fritto would come with red sauce because I misinterpreted the menu and thought the "gravy" meant like Sunday gravy, so I was expecting something like a chicken parm situation with an egg, so that was a bit of a let down for me, but the dish was very good still and those crispy hash potato balls were the best. I wish more brunch places would do this. The pizza was delicious, and we packed up most of our main dishes because we were already getting so full at this point. For dessert, we split the Italian Donuts and an order of the pistachio gelato. The donuts were so good and fluffy, and we loved the pistachio gelato. Nice nutty flavor and so smooth. We had multiple meals from the leftovers later. Can't wait till the next time!

Run to Ferrari's if you are looking for some awesome NY style pizza. There are many spots around DFW that claim to have NY style pizza, but they are not it. This place does it right and it's probably because the owner and his family are all from NY. I'm a purist, so I always go for a regular/plain cheese slice and this place does not disappoint. I even took a whole pie home so I have lunch for the week!My wife is a bit more adventurous and tries different things off the menu, which always is on point as well. This time she tried their chicken cutlet hero and she loved it!We will frequent this place for as long as we live in this metroplex!

"This review is long overdue. I've just been busy with patients at the end of the year. Nevertheless shout-out to Troy the bartender who guided me on my self lunch date here a couple of weekends ago. The atmosphere of this restaurant is perfect ., you came atch a game, bring a friend and catch up or just enjoy a day for self care and eat pizza and meatballs and have sangria's. YummySo as a first time dinner, Troy walked me through the menu. I wanted to try 2 different pizzas so the restaurant does offer the option to create "half and half" and I had just that. First I tried the meatballs and was recommended the sangria. When I tell you I've never had a sangria like this . I legit want a part time job here so they can pay me in Sangria's and meatballs. I had a whole pizza and decided to split it between the Honey Bastard and the NY white. (Insert chefs kiss)Also please note they have Happy hour on Mondays !! Just don't order all the meatballs and Sangria's before I get there.Ask for Troy he's awesome at recommendations!!!"
"fire service love this place shoutout salah frazier she gave great service you should give her a raise"
"My son recommended this place. Came on a Friday e evening and it was busy. We sat down quickly though and server arrived to get our drink orders. Chicken alfredo pizza - not a pizza person but was delicious Chicken rigatoni - daughter said she enjoyed itLobster ravioli- great flavor, like I dipped the free bread in itChicken marsala- son ate it allChicken alfredo- son ate aCalamari- the best, so light"
"The family and I stopped in here randomly on our way from Dallas to Denton and we're so happy we did! We did the weird thing and ordered everything but pizza and the food was delightful. We had a few Greek salads, the chicken Alfredo pasta, grilled chicken sandwich and potato chip chicken fingers - everything really hit the spot. The service was a breath of fresh air - friendly, genuine, and consistent. We will be stopping here from now on whenever we pass it!"
"Amazing food and service. They start you with free garlic and parm bread that comes with their red sauce. Wow. Good. I got the cheese tortellini with pink sauce. Added the fried chicken cutlet. Very good and quick."
"Great pizzaGreat manicotti with meat sauceExcellent romantic atmosphere at night. Cozy boothsFresh saladsBeen there many times over the years"
"Their Chicago tavern-style pizza is outstanding, with excellent crust & fresh, generous toppings. Cheers-vibe, super friendly & comfortable - no frills in that comfortable midwestern style I miss, including great music played at a pleasant volume. Hard to believe we've lived this long in the northern burbs without knowing this gem existed. Can't wait to return!"
"Tried this place tonight and was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors! I ordered Joe's Linguine. I love pepperoncini peppers, and the way Joe's incorporates them, with fresh pasta in a garlic white wine sauce, is divine. A perfect tart, juicy, savory pasta. Added a side of the thinly sliced Italian sausage, it was the perfect compliment. We also tried the Stromboli- large and filled with a variety of solid meats. The garlic bread is tasty too! Ambience is very relaxed, wait staff superb. A delicious experience that's incredibly friendly on the pocketbook!"
"My girlfriend just stopped by after work and picked up a supreme pizza and it was the best pizza I've had around here! We are from keller but will definitely be back"
"We had a great family dinner here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out in Roanoke! You will eat your weight in their amazing fresh bread and dipping oil but try and save room for the main course. We ordered three delicious appetizers for the table as well - the calamari, fries and we had them bring us four meatballs. The food was amazing with large portions at a fair price - we split a salad and an outstanding salmon special. We had some wine while others at our table enjoyed beers and cocktails - all of which were reasonably priced. I wish I could tell you about the dessert but we didn't make it that far. The service was the crown jewel though - we wanted not waited for anything. Our server was top notch and made the night! We will be coming back - great for special occasions with their Photo Booth but reasonable enough for a regular night out. Do give them a try!"
"I came here on 11.06.24 with some work buddies on their recommendations for pizza. The vibe is updated old school, and the service was top-notch right out of the gate. I opted for the small pizza (12-inch) that I custom ordered (see picture) with a side salad starter. The salad was delicious and generously dressed with their house dressing, which was like a Greek vinaigrette. My pizza was epic. It came out directly on a tray, which was pretty cool. Despite the real estate it covered, it had a super thin crust, so I didn't feel TOO guilty about destroying it. The sauce was tasty and balanced perfectly with the cheese. My pie was so heavily topped that it presented a challenge in eating it. The toppings were fresh and delicious, and I love a place that isn't stingy with their olives. For the total experience, I would come back. Maybe a lunch portion pizza would be better next time, but for my maiden voyage here, I left very happy."
"First time coming here and man it did not disappoint the food was excellent and the serví was top notch. Had a great time with the family. Cold beer and great food what else do you need."
"The food was not great. The service was nice. Very pleasant people. I have dropped in to pick up deserts before and that made me decide to drop in for dinner. No one finished their meal. Everything tastes the exact same. The environment has the same standard "Italian" art as every hole in the wall Italian place."
"My friends and I had the best time here this past weekend. I never would have imagined this restaurant existed on Forest Lane, in an old ass strip mall, but here it lies. This place is not to be confused with the other Momos not too far down the street - they are not amicable (and for good reasons it seems). My friends and I had reservations for Friday night and were sat on the bar side of the restaurant. When we left the restaurant we saw that the other side was cozier with a fireplace. We deemed that the "date side" and the bar area the "friend side". There is also a spacious patio where you could sit and forget that you are facing a parking lot. This place is cute! The meal is obviously the most important part, and the three of us had the hardest time trying to decide what to order. One of the owners, Wende, came over and I should have known better to ask her what her favorite dishes were. She told us about all of them (and there were a lot) with great detail and passion that it threw more choices in our minds making the decision that much more difficult. We started with salads. I had the beet salad. I loved it so much I don't even remember the salads my friends had. For my entree I ordered the pappardelle bolognese. OMG! To die for. The pasta is made in house and it is obvious that it is - so fresh. The sauce and the meat were both flavorful and I was so happy I had the leftovers tonight. Yummy! The owners of this restaurant are a delightful couple, and you can tell they love what they do! The chef is really nice and gave us some insight to the recipes that had been with the restaurant for 40+ years. You know it's a good night, and a good experience, when you spend over two hours eating and chatting and not drinking anything other than tea and water.I can not recommend this place enough! They just launched a spring menu that includes about 8 new dishes that all sounded good. I think my 2023 goal should be to try every dish on the menu and just live on a treadmill to burn off all the carbs."
"We stop in here occasionally for a drink while traipsing along Main Street. They have a good selection of both imported and domestic wines, as well as a solid food menu. The service here has always been friendly and welcoming. The one time we got a pizza (flatbread) here, we loved it. It was spilling over with toppings and tasted great. For Happy Hour, their specials are considered some of the best in town."
"Well my husband and I - are huge Campsi's fans - but not so much of this location - the pizza my husband always gets is garlic, itialin sausage and green onions. the whole this is the amount of toppings and garlic - if you do it right it is actually a magical combination, the crust was dry and overcooked, I ordered just an appetizer for I was not very hungry I had the baked ravioli's - very deflated with no filling - so dry, old tasting and deflated -We believe Campsi's is loosing something - their service and their care for the food. What a shame for a Dallas Original."
"No wine. No espresso. Get the f outta here. I can't even believe this place thinks it's a real Italian restaurant"
"THEY HAVE LOTS OF GLUTEN FREE THINGS! I was gluten free for about 5 years then told I wasn't celiac and indulged in all the things however my labs this year are pointing to some kind of gluten intolerance and Drs orders back to eating GF. That said we were on our way to Freebirds when we walked past Numero 28 and the atmosphere looked so inviting we decided to have dinner here instead. Was SO pleased to find so many GF options and in speaking to the owner he also let me know they have GF pasta options too (so make sure to ask about this).Great service, great prices - support local and eat at Number 28!"
"Ya Man great pizza! I grade my pizza by how it tastes the next day cold. I know I'm weird. But quality meat and cheese hold up overnight and their pizza was a good one the next day... I will be back"
"Lucia was an amazing addition to our dining experience! The food was fresh and tasty and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean!!Lucia ensured we had our drinks full and that our needs were being met! Definitely appreciated the care and environment here!"
"Homey italian spot with extremely nice staff. Roger Simpson performs pretty much every time we eat here on weekends and my man can play the flute while singing and also playing saxophone!!!! Great ambiance for a relaxed dinner that makes you feel like home. My favorite dish here is their snapper which comes with garlic pasta. The veal scallopini slightly sweet for my taste but overall very also delicious with a glass of merlot. Did I mention unlimited garlic bread??"
"The pizza is wonderful, the prices are legit, and the delivery is super fast! I also really like the meatball sub. I haven't tried any of the greek food, but the pizza and hot sammy's are well worth it."
"I don't even have words to describe our pizza experience. It's been 3 weeks and I'm about to cry typing this. First of all I have a disability and sometimes at the end of a long day I can't even walk. When I tell you after getting my groceries from CENTRAL MARKET, this was just the case. I randomly called Pizzeria Testa pizza place because it was on our way to drive back home. I can't believe Ive frequented so many pizza places in the area; but this was a place I've never been to or heard of before. From the time we pulled up the convenient roundabout in front of the door, to them bringing the pizza out to us to us, eating it in the car was convenient and helpful. It was so hot, that some of the cheese had slid off; and here I was driving down the street in the dark, eating crust and sauce. And it was STILL the best pizza I've ever had, and I consider myself a pizzaologist (one who specializes in pizza). I am originally from Erie, Pennsylvania. We have a "Little Italy" Community. We are home to, "the pepperoni ball," so I've had some great Italian Mom & Pop experiences growing up. This was special; this tastes like Italy. The sauce, was like no other. I can't wait to go back!"
