"Quick and helpful service, easy to find, clean interior. Fantastic burger cooked fresh, great seasoned fries."
"Really friendly people and pretty decent Mexican food. Affordable for lunch. They have a reasonable lunch menu. Place always seems clean, especially the bathroom. Nice outdoor seating area for the nice days. We like to go here for lunch. I would love to check out the nightlife scene. They do have a full bar."

"I noticed this place as I was heading down Lemmon/Marsh and noticed the sign said 100% Honduran food -- so I decided to try a little something different for lunch. It's definitely a little mom & pop restaurant but don't be scared of the looks of the place, it's not that bad. Everyone is very friendly, although most of the interaction was my broken Spanish and a little pointing and nodding between the waitress and I. (The owner spoke English but everyone else -- Spanish only). The menu is in Spanish but there's also little English descriptions of each entrée -- and pictures -- the pictures help a lot! I ordered a beef entrée with cabbage, plantains and rice -- it was very good! Seasonings were just right, cooked fresh and made to order! I can't forget the passion fruit drink the owner suggested I try -- preeeettty dern good, I needed a refill by the time my food was ready!I'm adventurous when it comes to trying new food and I definitely recommend Catrachito if anyone wants to venture out and try some Honduran entrees!"
"Mexican Sugar in downtown Dallas is an absolute fiesta for your taste buds! From the moment you walk in, the vibrant, warm decor sets the mood for a fantastic dining experience. The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Mexican flavors with a modern twist, and every dish is crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The guacamole is a must-try, creamy and perfectly seasoned, and the enchiladas are bursting with flavor. And don't even get me started on the drinks-- the margaritas are top-notch, with creative flavors and just the right amount of kick. The service is amazing, with a friendly and attentive staff that makes you feel like family. Whether it's a date night, a celebration, or just a craving for amazing Mexican food, Mexican Sugar delivers an unforgettable experience. This place is a total gem in downtown Dallas--don't miss it!"
"The influx of immigrants from Central America has graced us with El Salvadorian, Honduran and Guatemalan restaurants. This delightful eatery is, obviously, one of the latter.Service is cafeteria style and none of the servers in the line the morning I was there spoke English. That wasn't an issue as I could order pollo en mole y dos tamales in my awful Spanish. The problem when she asked "here or to go". Thankfully a guy in line next to me helped me out.The chicken was tender and mole sweet, spicy and delicious. The black beans were savory and the rice was fluffy. The tamales were a Guatemalan version and they were fantastic. I can't recall the cost of my giant horchata, but it was reasonably priced and paired well with my meal.Seating is spartan, but this not a place you to dine. This is a place you go to eat delicious food at a reasonable price. There is a on the left side as you enter with the bakery and various items like Guatemalan soda and snacks.I think I was the only non-Hispanic in there and that is wrong. More, different people should be enjoying this food."
"The coffee was fair. Kind of expensive. $7 after a tip for one lg flavored coffee. It was very sweet also. The Cuban coffee was not very strong and was also very sweet for my tastes. The empanada was small and just ok. Service was fast but not friendly at all.over all if your in the area maybe stop in but I would not definitely go out of my way again to mate a trip here for breakfast and coffee. Price was high for what you get in my opinion."
"I came across this place during the Castle Hills Art & Wine Walk. It's a teeny little place with great food, drinks and service! I had the birria tacos from the Chef's Menu board...they were delicious! The beef had great flavor and the melt cheese...just YES. Everyone at the table was pleased with their dinner. We met some neighborhood regulars who highly recommended the margaritas and made some dinner suggestions. The bar in back was busy with the football game on. And our server was great. I highly recommend this place!"
"I was so hungry and everything was so good I forgot to take more pictures. The bread and dips are amazing and kept eating those through the whole meal. Chicken and sides were delicious. Pastas and deserts were great and had flavors you recognize and flavors that are totally new. Tons of food for the price as well. The owner was also so nice and informative about the dishes."
"I want to give a shout out to fellow yelpers! Manda C. thanks to you I found this place way back when I did. To Paige, the ultimate lover of great Mexican food... this taco is for you my man! Love this real taqueria. Inside a gas station but really great. They ran out of Gorditas today ...bummer but when they are good they go super fast. Always busy.5/5 Gorditas, Sopes and taco plate.5/5 Fajita beef 3 taco plate. Plump and moist. Squeeze of lime dripping off the onions and cilantro. Splash a little salsa verde and bam!!! Soo great. Love the rice and beans. Both are homemade with the touch of highly trained master. The grilled Jalapeño is the icing on it all. Love this place. Cheers."
"Walking to this cute hiddden gem will take you back in history!!! The service was amazing! Ordering took a little long but once you get to the register you see why they truly are attentive to each customer! The food was AMAZING very flavorful and fresh! Fair pricing!"
"I found this place online when I was headed to Dallas last year, and it was everything I had hoped for! Great food, great staff, quirky and charming inside! Can't wait to go back!"
"I started with a frozen strawberry margarita that was so strong it warmed my cold, little heart. For the main course, I had the green chicken enchiladas with Mexican rice and beans. The enchiladas were packed with flavor, and I especially appreciated the chicken being all white meat. The rice was perfectly fluffy, and the beans came with fresh cotija cheese on top.Overall, great food, a drink that hits harder than my caffeine habit, and a relaxed vibe. I'll definitely be back--next time, I'll try not to fill up on margaritas before dessert!"

Overall: the best baleadas I've had in DFWDetailed: this review is essentially only for the baleadas from Catrachito - because that's what I've had there and that's what I think is amazing about it. I've eaten at Catrachito maybe two dozen times, and each time I've eaten their baleadas (with eggs in them). They are HUGE and cheap (around $2 each, where each one literally weighs like 0.5+ lbs). They are so savory and filling. I have tried many Honduran restaurants in the metroplex, and this is by far the best ones I've tried among them all. The location of Catrachito is located right by Target, it might be hard to miss the entrance based on its location and proximity to the street. It's never been too busy there, and ordering a baleada by phone gets prepared in less than 15 minutes. The inside of the restaurant is not very impressive, but that's okay because baleadas are great good to take on the go or to take home.

This location is probably the most beautiful! The decor vibe is rustic yet minimalistic with an amazing patio! Mexican Sugar has mastered the crab enchiladas so there has never been a complaint from me. I don't cook black beans but I always finish my plate of beans and rice when there. My first time visiting we had an extreme wait after being seated but management turned it around made the experience better. My second experience had great service. This is always a good place to recommend for a quick yet inexpensive vibe.

The steak in the burrito was desperately chewy, and I can't believe for ten bucks the queso doesn't come with chips!! Staff doesn't even glance at you even tho I'm standing five feet away holding my credit card. Next time maybe I pick up my bags and just leave.

1st time visiting this restaurant. Looked very nice inside and we were sat at a large booth near bar. Waiter Jack was very great as he explained what our dining experience would be. There is 3 courses to be served. During the start of the 3rd we were visited by an unwanted guest that frankly turned my stomach. Yes it was a roach coming from behind the booth. Waiter tried to kill it but it got away back behind that booth. We were there to celebrate birthday and had planned this for weeks so we asked to be moved as far away as possible. Only to watch as they sat another big group there not long after. Food was very good but we won't be back

"Delicious food and incredible ambience laid back, I came in on a Friday night and the live music is fantastic!! This spot is perfect for a girls night out or a cute date. The decor is adorable and also features some shops at the front. Loved every second of my visit. I ordered the enchiladas de mole, the kitchen was kind and was able to customize them to veggie only and they hit the spot. I loved the presentation of all the plates but the drinks took the night away! You already know I don't drink drink but I'll have A drink and ocho knocked it out of the park with taste, strength and presentation. See photos and plan out your next date night here. The churros are to die for. They are stuffed and I just so so good. OMG I DIDNT SNAP THE ENCHILADAS picture!! That's how good the ONE drink is don't worry, I have a designated driver friends, drink responsibly"
"Great restaurant turn salsa/bachata bar! Come here after 3-5pm and you'll see the crowd really transform! We came here from the draw of the music stayed for the food and dancing! This place get wild after 8pm so look to getting a reservation! I ordered there cubano and elote which was more than enough for 2 people. The cubano was just got off the press and smothered with meats of beef and jabon! I would really get this if you're very hungry and looking to soak something up with your enjoyable margaritas! The elote is fresh and so buttery it meats in your mouth in an instant second! What really got us was the ambiance of the either place. Come with good friends and you'll find yourself a great time! The dancing is amazing and the vibe is great with great hostess and very cool bartenders.Don't let them line fool you at front as you can be at the bar and order food until 2am!"
"Located at The Star in Frisco, Snowbird Cocktail Lounge & Kitchen is an upscale cocktail lounge that serves Latin-American, European and Asian fusion cuisine. Happy Hour is offered Tuesday through Friday, 4pm - 6pm. Their menu includes options for dinner, late night bites and brunch (offered on Saturday and Sunday). I have been here a few times for brunch and have always had an awesome experience. My favorites on the brunch menu are the "Breakfast of Champions" (2 eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes and toast) and "You're The Steak To My Eggs" (24oz NY strip steak with 2 eggs and potatoes). Both entrée comes with a lot of food which is seasoned perfectly. In the case fairly of the NY strip steak, it is cooked as requested and always comes out perfectly. As for beverages, they have a full bar along with a variety of signature cocktails. I have personally tried their Moscow Mule (tasty), Purple Rain (refreshing), and an Espresso No Depresso (their version of an Espresso Martini) which is served with tequila and very tasty. On one visit a friend had their namesake cocktail, the 'Snowbird' which is made with of Cazadorez Blanco tequila, Combier L'orange liqueur, coconut cream, lime juice, tajin rim, pea tea bitter spray. It sounds like a lot but it received rave reviews. Recently, I was here in the evening for cocktails and light bites to celebrate a birthday which provided me with the opportunity to sample some of the foods from their 'Lounge Bites' menu. At my table we ordered Wagyu Sliders, Truffle Mac and Cheese, Chimichurri Shrimp Satay and everything was full of flavor. I'm getting hungry just thinking about those entrees. For a beverage, I went their Old Fashioned and it did not disappoint. In all my visits, service is always top notch with no complaints. The servers are friendly and very attentive (without being overbearing). Parking consists of nearby garages and depending on the time of day, valet is available. Overall, I am a big fan of Snowbird Cocktail Lounge & Kitchen and will definitely visit again."
"4.5 rounding up to 5. First time here and it was an enjoyable experience. I've had arepas before but this was one different in that it was pretty big and the cheese wasn't melted. I got the arepa with cheese and they had other cheese options that possibly had melted cheese. It was a little greasy and salty with the cheese. Next time will get a different one or meat with it to add more flavor. The pabellon empanada definitely more than made up for it. It was loaded with flavor and fried to order. It had shredded beef, black beans, plantains, and other veggies like bell peppers in there. Every bite was an explosion of flavor that was very balanced. The sauce they gave with it also helped balance all the flavors.Would definitely come back to try more of the menu. The portions are big!"
"I was in the neighborhood and came across this place via the Yelp app. Seeing the positive review from my good friend Tommy H. cemented my decision to try it out. It's a fairly small and unassuming place, both inside and out, but it's inviting. I was eager to exercise my fairly minimal Spanish knowledge, so I ordered "pupusa de pollo con queso y torta cubana". After establishing that I didn't need anything to drink, I paid and retreated to a table to await the food. Upon delivery, I was greeted with a big sandwich on very fresh bread. Dont confuse this with a "Cuban sandwich" - it's really not, it's a totally different beast. Featuring beef milanesa, cheese, tomato, jalapeno, mayo and onion, it was a tasty sandwich. The bread was mild in flavor and really let the sandwich shine on contents. I applied some of the mild red salsa provided at the table, which added even more awesome flavor to the mix. The pupusa was nicely prepared, perhaps a little light on filling, but what was there was very nice. Shredded chicken and gooey cheese oozed out of it when cut, and the tortilla was just the right texture. Accompanying the sandwich was a nice but simple shredded cabbage slaw, that had a nice vinegar bite to it, and was very crisp. Although the sandwich was very good, I'd like to see more filling in this quite generous bread, but perhaps that's just a matter of preference. It was still a nice meal, and the price is definitely right. Bring your hotspot if you're going to bring your laptop as I did - there's no wifi here. Better still, just relax and eat your food. :)"
"This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in all of the DFW. The authentic flavor of the dishes is incredibly comforting and the ambiance is relaxed and wonderful. The mangu, arroz and tostones were perfect. The meat was tender and full of flavor. The jugo de parcha was tart and delicious. And the morisoñando was absolutely AMAZING."
"Chimichurri is a great restaurant but fails the "value" check. I would've rated them 5-stars if the food was ~20% cheaper, but they charge "nice" restaurant prices ($25-40 range) without offering "nice" restaurant staples like hard wood dining, experienced servers, nice lighting etc.First, let me say that the food was awesome. I got the Arrachera Norteña, Argentinian for "fajitas." I kid, I have no idea what that means but they sure looked like fajitas. The pretentious fajitas were awesome though, definitely better than Veracruz's down the street and about on par with La Palmas over in Uptown.I'm knocking Chimichurri a star though for their not-well-done eclectic dining room (The mismatched chair aesthetic wasn't doing any favors). their lighting (Which tried and failed to illuminate the dining room from it's perch 20 feet in the air, giving it a dampness that could've been offset by little lamps on each table), and their service (Our server was lovely but we waited 20 minutes to put in our order). All knit-picky critiques that can be fixed with light effort on the owner's end."
"The service was great. I was the only one there and I ordered my dinner to go. To be fair I've never tried Peruvian food before but this place came highly recommended. I can't say that was blown away - I thought it was just ok and didn't have much flavor. I ordered the half chicken with fries and a salad. When I got home and opened the container I noticed the fries were soaked in grease as if they were not done cooking so I tossed them in the air fryer for a bit. The chicken was a little dry and the salad was basic with a mayo type dressing that I didn't care for. The green sauce that came with the chicken was also a little bland for my taste."
"Final review, to average out my visits. I'll just say, when they're good, they are excellent. I've had a couple of blips but they will make it right. Definitely give them a try."
"hard to find this restaurant, it's actually in the little condo complex on the lake. very cute on the outside, hot af inside... i dunno if their AC was broken or if they just don't have AC but it was hot and uncomfortable. plan on doing to go. the pina coladas were delicious and the food was good at reasonable prices. the tequenos were very yummy and the ceviche was great. i woudl skip the arepitas. cacapa was good but quite heavy. overall, it was pretty good, but i think i would try somewhere else first before coming back."
"Beef Empanadas - 5/10Duck Flautas - 6/10, needs more sauceQueso Fundido - 10/10, SO GOODLomo Saltado - 10/10, unique twist on it but the sauce was amazingWood Fire Picana Steak - 6/10, just a normal steak (medium rare), not super tender and chewyLa Diabla - 8/10, Cute presentation, the drink was pretty good!Hibiscus Dragon - 7/10Overall, it was a good date night spot and cute for pictures. I would recommend :)"
"Taboo Lounge is simply an awesome place to go hang out with friends and listen to great music! I came here on my most recent trip to Dallas and a friend of mine decided this would be our spot to chill. The cover was minimal for this event, I believe $10 (don't quote me) but it wasn't anything too crazy which was nice. I hate paying covers for bars but when they offer the kind of experience that Taboo Lounge did, then I'm all here for it! Bartenders were awesome! I appreciated the heavy pours of my Tito's Vodka ha-ha and also the great conversation. One of the best things while being out and at the bar is having great service from the bartenders. Mix that with superior customer service and you get a guaranteed GOOD TIME! I will most definitely come back here on my next trip to Dallas!"
"I was pleasantly surprised to see a vegan option, the veggie tacos sans dairy. They were SO good. The sauce had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and the tortillas were fried nicely. I wished I could have more."
"Service was quick and friendly. There was a nice and inviting atmosphere. The food was pretty good and the drinks were good and packed a punch. The corn was my favorite."
"My family has been going here since before I was born and it remains my favorite restaurant. The best arepa and tres leches I've ever had. Service can be a little slow depending on who's working waitstaff but they'll come to you right away if you flag them down."
"My husband and I loved this place in addison ;) if you want to try something new and exciting try the papusas!!! Also the seafood soup was amazing and service was fantastic! We will be back"
"Really upset I did a lengthy write up on how wonderful I think this place is. How opulent the decor is. How the services was excellent and the food was delicious.. but for whatever reason it did not save. So sorry Mexican Sugar I don't have it in me to type it again."
"The food was amazing! The service was great but the restaurant is very dark! Hard to even see the menu. Didn't bother me too much because the food and service made up for it!"
"Me being from El Paso, TX on the border, I am use to real mexican food or atleast not the texmex, so it was so refreshing to get some morning tacos like I was use to over 30 years ago. Beans made with lard, homemade tortillas and eggs, and chile verde....what an awesome combo. A few years back some co-workers asked me if I wanted a breakfast taco, I accepted and thought wow, where did you get this, she said Pronto Taco. I was there! Covid happened and well all the businesses around were closed, so they had to as well. They have reopened in a different location/different name and I was so happy to hear this! Same great food and service. We have been ordering and picking up breakfast tacos for work ( we are in Addison and it's worth the drive ) and all of us are thrilled. Give it a try as again, this is a tasty place for some great mexican food. Oh, the staff/family are awesome too."
"Great food...I'm no expert on Latin food. But I can tell you when someone cooks food with love and has the spirit to meet all dinner's. Sincerely checking on their happiness and making sure the food is enjoyed. Love the authentic fill of the restaurant, decor, and most importantly the friendliness of all the people working there."
"Hot take: Peruvian chicken is by far the best version of chicken. Imagine a Costco rotisserie chicken but with an attitude and personality and that's a Peruian rotisserie chicken. Out of all the joints in DFW, Munay by far makes the best version. You can taste the seasoning with every bite, even down to the deepest sections of the breast. The Aji sauce is addicting and offers a nice spicy quick to the chicken. The Chaufa de Pollo hit the spot just right. Hot on arrival and packed with flavor. Tasted like it was cooked in a wok. 10/10 recommend."
"new place in GP. If you look back at my reviews from last year, I was on a pupusa phase looking for the best pupusas in dfw. This place opened last week and I was able to stop by after work today. Ordered pupusas and Guatemalan bread to goThe space-bright very pretty latín America inspired, a few tables to eat inside. First thing you see as walking in is the bread.Keep in mind that they are just starting so there is no menu yet, not a full service restaurant with waiters etc. With that being said,Pupusas- I only tried revueltas. Chicharrón con queso. So far the best I've had, the meat is so flavorful and the masa is super soft and has a wonderful taste. They gave me authentic salsa and also green sauce, the green sauce was perfect for me because like many pupusa salsa,it lacked spiciness. Ask for the green salsa if u like spicy.Bread-the only bread I've tried is Mexican pan dulce. This definitely is similar, It was sooo fresh, so soft, they had a variety and I've already eaten two pieces from the bunch I bought.(what diet?) Definitely grab a few pieces.I also saw chiles rellenos and pollo al horno pieces in the glass counter. I will be back to try more items.2/2. Picked up more bread and chiles rellenos definitely a must try, very different from mexican chiles. Stuffed with chicken and veggies, chopped very finely. As pictured. Wanted to try their chicken but they were out, it was almost closing time so it's understandable. Will be back"
