"Named for a beach popular for it's street food in Bombay, this establishment has taken chaat to many corners of the globe, including my current backyard.I've seen a rendition of Bombay Chowpatty growing up in the Middle East, so it was a pleasant surprise to see one here as well (not sure if they are affiliated).While best known for their chaat (savory, inexpensive Indian street snacks), they also offer a number of other restaurant favorites from both the North and South of India. If you're looking for some sort of meat product, you won't find one here. Eggs are on the menu, so combined with a number of dishes made with dahi, it certainly isn't vegan, although vegans will find a lot of options.Vada pav is a Bombay staple, and this place does a great rendition of the same. For the uninitiated, it is a patty made of spicy potatoes sandwiched between two slider sized soft buns. There is also a spicy chutney that goes into this delectable sandwich, and it comes with a couple of fiery roasted green chilis on the side. Excellent start to the meal.Pav bhaaji is a staple of the chaat scene, and there are always plenty of vendors on the beaches of Bombay offering this dish. The pav was perfectly crisped on the inside and rubbed with the excess off cooking the bhaaji (vegetable gravy) and of course, there was plenty of butter involved. Do ask (and pay) for extra pav, because there's always more than enough bhaaji to go around.South India was next, and the coconut chutney provided to dip the soft idlis in was delectable. The sambar could've had more body though, I personally thought it was too thin to lend either the idlis or vadas a helping hand.Speaking of which, the (medhu) vadas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. The egg burji (scrambled eggs if you please) was tossed in plenty of spices, tomatoes, onions and finished off with a lot of cilantro. Pick them up with the toasted slices of bread provided, and you're golden.The end of the meal, unfortunately, was the let down. The onion and chili dosa was not crisp at all, limp to the touch, and hey, it'd have been nice if the onions were at least sweated a little. I mean, I'm not asking for brown onions, man, and not something raw enough to destroy my palate and make me taste little else (overpowered, nay, socked out any flavor that dared make an appearance).The sheer number of options and nostalgia that transports you back to that fabled city in India makes a trip to the Chowpatty worth it.Just don't come looking for your butter chicken fix, and you'll be aight."

As far as first impressions & atmosphere, once in the front door, go to the left for the bakery and other things or through the inner door for the restaurant. It's all glass so you can see where you're going. When you walk in, first off, the smell is wonderful, the place is bright and looks incredibly clean for a busy restaurant so kudos there. The employees were smiling & seemed happy to assist. We were told to pick a seat and were immediately brought a menu. We got our drinks and food came out quickly, fresh & hot. The manager, Franco, came around and introduced himself. He asked if everything was good and if we were completely satisfied. It was & we were. Our glasses were never empty and the food was very good. -- If not dining in, you can order at the counter for take out. Sorry if my thought aren't completely organized but I was trying to remember everything."

I studied the menu and saw this amazing dish called Chicken & Apple Dumpling Waffle. As a lover of waffles I knew that was the one! It did not disappoint. Depending on the season, Adam pretty much knows which I've come to get and always remembers to drop extra honey in my peanut butter smoothie or to add protein if I'm getting one for "the big guy" aka my co-worker.The BBQ chicken wrap is good. The muffaletta sandwich will make you hurt yourself because true to this deli's form, that is a LOTTA sandwich! The chicken in the grilled chicken pasta will make you bite your tongue and Taco Tuesday (and Thursday) does cause a frenzy! The tacos are beef or chicken and you can get fresh avocado on top! In the morning I like to get a breakfast croissant or burrito in the spinach wrap. Even the chicken, veggies and rice special is good! I also like the pesto chicken special. Did I mention the pastas? Grilled chicken pasta! And did I say the portions are NICE? Do I need to go on?Adam (the owner) has a real talent for for pairing flavors. If you're unsure how to top a sandwich or wrap, he is never wrong about the veggies or dressings. My last two visits were not good. The steak was not fresh at all. I'm not sure if the steak is prepared fresh daily or if the meat is used on day two. I believe steak is the only meat with an extra charge. If you order a steak mini, be prepared to pay an extra $3.00.I can't speak on the taste of their chicken or pork dishes so if you are in the area, give them a try. Customer service is good. This location has a drive thru so that's a plus. I might come back in a few months for another visit to see if things have improved."

The ice cream looked amazing and they had other treats to purchase. I got a brown sugar, Boba tea. The servers were incredible and friendly. The tea is made in small batches, and I even got to see them steep some looseleaf tea which was very impressive. My Boba was delicious and it had a strong taste of tea which I prefer. They definitely have a returning customer from me and I can't wait to come back with my husband to try out the milkshakes.!"

Ecclesia's cakes, however, are truly outstanding. The flavor is the best, far better than Korean cake competitors that you can find all over Carrollton. They always look perfect too. Ecclesia is my family's favorite place to buy Asian-style birthday cakes. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. Unlike many Korean style bakeries in Carrollton, Ecclesia is a mom-and-pop store, not a chain. As if that's not enough, the atmosphere here is perfect. It's like you walked straight into a photo shoot. It's a Korean style cafe with calming decor, piano jazz and comfortable seating. It's the perfect place to meet a friend for a coffee and treat."
