Carissa S. "This is our go to Uber Eats restaurant for Indian food!We always order the Chicken Tiki Masala, Veggie Samosas, Saag Paneer, Garlic Naan, Regular Naan, and Mumatz Mixed Grill. We always share the mixed grilled meats and there's barely enough for us (I think some places it says that it should feed two people and with both of us ordering other entrees it's barely enough to share). The food is so flavorful and tasty! The samosas are flaky and filled to the max (some of the websites pictures make them look small, but they're huge). I loveeee the Saag Paneer...sometimes I think about venturing out and trying a different dish, but it's just so good and with the order of the mixed grill I still get a nice dose of protein. Occasionally, when the Naan arrives there are some hard crusty parts, so when I remember I order the onion kulcha! That stays moist and fluffy! I forgot to snap pictures before we started eating, but I'll remember next time!"

Don R. "Great variety with many dishes I've not seen elsewhere. India Palace has a very upscale vibe and a weekend lunch buffet that includes cook to order stations (check for hours). There were so many delicious items, I was only able to eat a little of each! The Chicken Tikka Masala is as good as I've had anywhere, and the Chili Chicken was a combination of sweet, spicy and savory that will have you wanting more! I also tried some Chicken Biryani, Beef Madras, Goat & Broccoli Curry, Vegetable Samosa, Mixed Vegetables and Saag. The cook to order station featured Masala Dosa with Cutney and Panipuri with spicy green chili and/or sweet tamarind sauce. Both are something to be experienced. Dosa is a thin, savory crepe made from fermented rice. Panipuri is a light, fried hollow sphere that's filled with potato and chickpea and then to a spicy or sweet sauce. They are eaten in one bite and are a pop of flavor that is unlike anything else I've tried.India Palace also offers a full lunch and dinner menu and a full bar. It offers something for every palate, and is clear why they've received multiple accolades from numerous area publications. If you like Indian food, this is the number one place to try!"

Pro tip: get your entree as "Texas size" which means there's a bit more protein and it comes with naan and rice. You can't miss those delicious sides! Here is my go-to order and how I would rate:- Chicken marsala (8/10)- Rice (8/10)- Saag paneer; spinach with cheese (9/10)- Naan (10/10)- Aloo Naan with potato (10/10)- Samosa sampler (one veggie, one chicken) with tamarind and mint chutney (10/10)I dream of the veggie samosa... it's so crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. I always have leftovers and everything heats up well to enjoy in the following days. If you haven't had Roti Grill yet... trust me and check it out next time you're crazy warm, spicy food!"

Uyen L. "This is a solid buffet restaurant if you're looking to try different Indian dishes as a beginner or just want to satisfy your cravings. I was in my Indian phase, and have been craving different dishes. I saw an advertisement saying this has over 60+ items, and the cost wasn't crazy either, so we stopped by.We came around 7 PM on a Sunday and the restaurant was packed. There were a couple of large parties in front of us. They have a waiting area, which is pretty nice, with a staircase leading to the second floor. I'm guessing the 2nd floor is for private events mainly. We waited about 25 minutes for a table. The restaurant looked big on the outside, but the seating area was pretty small.I was amazed at their buffet options and how organized everything was. They have appetizers, curries, salad bars, fresh dosa, desserts, lassi, fountain drinks, and more. Just like other buffets, you grab a plate at the beginning and make your way down the road. There are small wooden bowls if you want to separate your curries like me. I enjoyed trying everything, and I absolutely love the dosa. I wish the dosa was crispy like what I usually get at restaurants, but I think it's pretty solid for buffet style. The regular rice was undercooked-- it was still crunchy when we bit into it so that was disappointing. I love their mango lassi and the fountain drinks. Everything is available for you to grab which is very convenient. The food quality isn't the best but it was still good enough to satisfy my cravings. My boyfriend didn't like the tandoori chicken-- he said it was pretty plain and tasteless. You can see the naan and dosa being cooked right behind the counter so that was pretty cool. They restock it quickly since there's one person behind each area. Overall, it's a solid place if you want to try multiple Indian dishes. Most buffets are only available during weekday lunch so I was happy to find one that offers weekend dinners as well!"

The chicken tikka masala is so solidThe desserts are all excellent as well.Better quality than any Indian buffet!Gulab jamun came out hot and fresh. The kheer was full of cardamom flavor. The real star is that they can customize their dishes to make them nut free and a lot of places don't do this. Raja was the kind gentleman who took my order today, which was the combo #2 with goat curry & chili chicken. Note that all lunches come with rice, naan & the dessert of the day. Not bad for $12.98. I have no complaint with anything I ordered, but do advise that you're careful if you order the goat because there will be bits of bone. There's a little bit of everything for everyone here, vegetarian & non-vegetarian options to choose from. I actually recommend them because of the buffet lunch style they have, as it affords a good variety of dishes to try for those who may not want to commit to a full order of something they aren't sure they'll enjoy & can do it without breaking the bank. Only downsides to this place is that there isn't much seating if you wanted to dine in for a party & the restrooms are first come first served (one stall for each gender - MW)."

Being a new patron, I was not familiar with their menu and again, the waitress was very helpful with her suggestions.I started off with the Chicken Tikka Nachos: I was so disappointed, actually, I felt worse than disappointed. The chicken was beyond dry, and I mean, dry. I got there around the time they opened, I can only assume they were still trying to get rid of the previous days food. I dipped the chicken in the sauce that came with it, hoping that would help, it didn't. Stuffed Naan: Again, the chicken was dry. I actually was very surprised, I've never had a naan that wasn't cooked perfectly. Mango Lassi: That is the only RAVE I can give about this visit, that drink was delicious! Overall, I can't say I will not go back. I believe I chose to go at the wrong time, and chose the wrong thing. You can get traditional grilled platters or a few curries but you can also get a tikka burrito or samosas filled with interesting non-traditional fillings. You'll order at the counter and food will be brought to you. Prices are very reasonable for sure - and they have platters designed for sharing. I was here for lunch so had a chicken curry - with rice, naan and a mango lassi it was under $15. Not bad. My curry was really good - there was a good amount of dark meat chicken in it and the sauce was thick and well spiced. Naan was not what I'm used to - it was more like a pita bread texture but plenty good for scooping up tasty sauce. The guy at the counter was really nice and checked on me to make sure I was happy (I was!). Don't expect anything fancy on the interior but it was clean (including the restrooms). Vegetarians should know that the menu is somewhat limited and more meat focused than a traditional Indian place. Two thumbs up from me!"

David P. "Based on my own experience thus far, this location is a great place to visit if you're seeking great Indian Himalayan food. Although the outside of the building did look a little rough, the interior had a pleasant atmosphere, so I'd advise you to not let that deter you. Nevertheless, the food was excellent. I started my lunch with some chicken 65, a dish that is popular in Nepal, and let me just tell you that this was some of the greatest chicken I've ever tasted. It was extremely crunchy and spicy, and eating it made me sweat. As a result, I'll add that if spicy cuisine is not your thing, I'd advise staying away from this establishment. You could also just ask for no heat, but where's the honor in that?I also got some paratha aloo after that, which was delicious, but I wish they had cheese paratha. Nevertheless, it was pleasant and complemented my main meal, a taxmax curry that was the chef's special. It had lamb, spinach, black lentils, yellow lentils, and a mouthwatering masala curry. If you're not a big flavor explorer, I'd say this might not be your cup of tea, as most of the people I shared my plate with didn't like it, but I'm sure it's just because they don't like this sort of food. Overall, this restaurant was good; the food portions were sizable and reasonably priced, so I'd recommend it to anyone in the area seeking good, authentic Indian Himalayan food."

The Naan we got to accompany was flavorful and a good enhancement to the meal. I do somewhat agree with the other reviewers that the menu could be a lot more useful. I really wish that there were descriptions for all the items for those of us less educated on the cuisine. They had a wide variety of meal dishes on the buffet including 5 chicken, 1 beef, 1 goat, and even 1 fish. Surprisingly, there was no saag paneer and no dessert dishes on the buffet. I tried everything on the buffet except the fish.Pros: Biriyani had a moderate level of spiciness which was appealing. Goat curry! I get excited anytime a place has it on the buffet. The chicken samosa was delicately crisp and the filling was flavorful - best I've had.Cons: No saag paneer. Butter chicken sauce was overly sweet. Naan was bland (hard to explain but it reminded me of a water cracker), but I think that's the Bangladeshi-style. Naveen R. "Named for a beach popular for it's street food in Bombay, this establishment has taken chaat to many corners of the globe, including my current backyard.I've seen a rendition of Bombay Chowpatty growing up in the Middle East, so it was a pleasant surprise to see one here as well (not sure if they are affiliated). While best known for their chaat (savory, inexpensive Indian street snacks), they also offer a number of other restaurant favorites from both the North and South of India. If you're looking for some sort of meat product, you won't find one here. Eggs are on the menu, so combined with a number of dishes made with dahi, it certainly isn't vegan, although vegans will find a lot of options.Vada pav is a Bombay staple, and this place does a great rendition of the same. For the uninitiated, it is a patty made of spicy potatoes sandwiched between two slider sized soft buns. There is also a spicy chutney that goes into this delectable sandwich, and it comes with a couple of fiery roasted green chilis on the side. Excellent start to the meal.Pav bhaaji is a staple of the chaat scene, and there are always plenty of vendors on the beaches of Bombay offering this dish. The pav was perfectly crisped on the inside and rubbed with the excess off cooking the bhaaji (vegetable gravy) and of course, there was plenty of butter involved. Do ask (and pay) for extra pav, because there's always more than enough bhaaji to go around.South India was next, and the coconut chutney provided to dip the soft idlis in was delectable. The sambar could've had more body though, I personally thought it was too thin to lend either the idlis or vadas a helping hand.Speaking of which, the (medhu) vadas were perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the middle. The egg burji (scrambled eggs if you please) was tossed in plenty of spices, tomatoes, onions and finished off with a lot of cilantro. Pick them up with the toasted slices of bread provided, and you're golden. The end of the meal, unfortunately, was the let down. The onion and chili dosa was not crisp at all, limp to the touch, and hey, it'd have been nice if the onions were at least sweated a little. I mean, I'm not asking for brown onions, man, and not something raw enough to destroy my palate and make me taste little else (overpowered, nay, socked out any flavor that dared make an appearance). The sheer number of options and nostalgia that transports you back to that fabled city in India makes a trip to the Chowpatty worth it.Just don't come looking for your butter chicken fix, and you'll be aight."
