"Great golf atmosphere. Nice course layout. Greens are consistent and well maintained. With spring in full bloom the fairways will get the grass growing and I look forward to getting in a round here again. Very soon."
"Great golf course. Right next to Lake Lewisville Campground. Nice course friendly people. Good time golfing."
"A co-worker and I traveled to Dallas for business and decided to try this course even though the reviews were mixed. Turning onto the property we drove between mansions... 6000ft2+, 6-car garages ... some looked like Tara (GWTW).The course was in good condition except for some of the bunkers and greens. The sand was not conditioned and some were bereft of sand making for inconsistent play. The greens were bumpy even their speed was good.We rented clubs and that was a major disappointment for me... the Titleist set (AP1) didn't have a full set of wedges and the settings of the TS2 driver were way off from standard. No sand wedge made for interesting choices in the inconsistent bunkers. The wind was blowing 20mph+ which added to our challenge. My co-worker played well for 8 holes but the Sawgrass 17th (our 9th) got him. I had trouble with tee shots due to the length and weight of the driver so it was a long day for me.We liked the course and would like to play it with our own clubs. Guarded recommendation due to the bunkers and rental clubs. If you play with your own clubs I think you will enjoy this course."
"Lightened driving range Chipping and sand trap practice Mini 6 hole 3 par course18 hole course Well stocked pro shopOnly thing I haven't yet checked out is the bar/restaurant (assuming this exists if so I know they're not open late but would be nice if they were!).Great course for ladies!"
"I played a round on 5/28 on the Old Course. The course is well-maintained, besides a couple of rock-hard tee boxes, and the greens are in good condition. On hole 8, I called the clubhouse to see if a beverage cart was going around on the course, and I was told there was, but it never crossed paths with my group. That was the only downgrade to the experience."
"We golfed here today for the first time. From the moment we arrived we had exceptional customer service. Our names were printed out on a sheet listing the early tee times. One of the Marshall's let us know when the course went from cart paths only to the 90 degree rule. We were thanked multiple times for playing there. As for the course:The greens were in incredible shape. The fairways were in good shape. The bunkers were basically mud pits. The views of Lake Lewisville are stunning. It is a 9 hole course with 2 flags on each green. You play red flags the first round and yellow the second round.Best overall experience we've ever had. Wish I could remember the 2 gentalmen's names that gave such attentive service. We WILL be back!"

Golf here was great, the course was well maintained. The bar/restaurant area is awesome with a ton of TV's, large seating area both inside and outside looking out on the course. Menu looked promising, some bbq, sandwiches, wraps, and they also had an old school ice cream cart. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of jalapeño mac n cheese. The wrap had chopped breaded tenders on the inside which were good but the wrap was very unbalanced. Kind of fell apart, and each bite was either 90/10 lettuce chicken, or the other way around. Lacked buffalo sauce as well, not a ton of flavor. Service was great at the bar, friendly and fast.

I've been to this place a couple of times and I would say I'm inpressed. The greens are in good condition and the prices are cheap and the customer service is on point.

Fun round! It's not perfect but based on some of previous reviews in regards to the condition of the course, the Tour 18 team is steering this course back into great shape. Friendly staff, range balls included in green fees, nice new carts, greener fairways, and greens. Teeboxes and some sand bunkers need some improvement. Better get to the course before winter hits!

No wonder it has the reputation as the best practice facility in town. Thanks to David,my experience was top knotch.Space, a lot of parking, practice bays, good prices and the balls are all in great condition. Unlike a lot of places that have ragged balls and unkempt areas.

The Old Course green require an off road golf ball if you putt. Greens are grass and dirt mixture - Fairways green cut short and dry. Fairways are a mixture of uncut weeds and trees down which were not removed. Hole 3 Par 5 if your fade to right you will roll where there are trees and tires in a dry pond. Ponds are in need of maintenance as-well as ditch crossing and cart paths. This course is certainly not in my favor - I've tried to like this Course but it does not favor me. Sand traps are inconsistent and seem neglected. Fairways are cut short and limited thick grass and DRY - greens are hard to judge because of inconsistent grass growth. Not a good venue to test your skills. Also if your not in the Fairway your going to play boggy golf.

First time playing this course today. The moment we walked in for our Tee Time, the gentleman checking us in had a smile on his face and said, "You must be the Martins." Excellent customer service from all the employees. The course is only 9 holes, but there are two different holes to hit at, so it changes the back 9 up a little bit. Gorgeous Lake Leisville is the backdrop setting to this course. We left thinking we found a little diamond in the rough and just minutes from where we live. We will definitely be back.

The course is very well maintained and is a fun, and unique track with 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's and 6 par 5's. The grill has above average food and the grill staff does a good job handling orders for the most part. The young cart ladies do a fantastic job navigating the course and making sure golfers have what they need. They were even handing out free water out on the course on a recent hot afternoon. Now for the negative. I've been playing this course for years since I and several friends live in the area. However, the golf shop staff are really pushing the memberships to the point where if you are not a member you are treated as if you are a nuisance. More and more visitors here are complaining about this and the sometimes rude or pushy attitude of some of the golf staff. Some of the membership options seem fair but only if you play here year round. When a public golf course refuses to sell a small bucket of range balls to a guest because they are not a "member" and they charge a large bucket for $20, they have gone too far. It is very obvious that whoever is running this golf shop is concerned about one thing, and it's not being courteous or welcoming to its non member golf guests. I've walked out of the golf shop after paying my green fee and overheard other players complain about how unprofessional some of the golf shop staff can be. I was actually considering one of the membership options but after my last two visits this summer, I'm out. I'll be playing other courses now looking for a fun experience.

"This course is a favorite local spot with 6 par 3s, 6 par 4s and 6par 5s. It's usually in good condition and the staff is helpful and friendly. After a round of golf, please try the club house cafe...the food is excellent! The bar is well stocked, service is brilliant and lots of big screen TVs to watch any sport. Who knew one of the best places to eat in McKinney was at the local public golf course?!"
"Seriously, I have no clue why this place is not highly rated.I have played around Dallas, and we decided to take the 30+ min drive to Heath TX for this course and we were amazed at the course itself. There are beautiful homes around every part of the course, and the course itself is also stunning! The pace is great and they don't book tee times 3 minutes apart so you're rushed. As for the staff, they are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the cart girls are always coming by to make sure you're doing good!We play here every Monday now, and won't stop! I am shocked they don't require a membership, because this course deserves it."
"Pretty solid golf course. This course is a little bit of a drive from Dallas, but is definitely worth the effort. The layout will present a challenge to all skill levels and is appealing to the eye. The par 5's are reachable, and there are a few short par 4's that make it fun to play (go fro the green, or play smart). Make sure you practice some bunker shots, because this course has a lot of sand. Since it's so close to the lake, I would have expected a little more water, but it's still nice. The snack bar is friendly and the staff is helpful. Overall, a nice course that isn't super crowded, and is good for a change of scenery."
"Great course for a muni. Friendly staff, very nice snack bar manager named Pricilla, she won my heart with her smile. I can't wait to go back"
"Great place to play golf!!!! Enjoyed my round! Pro shop and bar had all I needed! Carts were cleaned and ready to go! Definitely going back!"
"Great service. Magnificent view. Do not need to be a member of the RGAC to dine there. The Sunday buffet was great. It has a different theme every week but the old mainstays, Eggs, bacon, sausage etc are always available."
