"One of the better rooms we've done in DFW. Lots of fun props and technology that made things pop open, but I got frustrated a few times with puzzles there was no way we would ever figure out. We will definitely try their other rooms, but I think we'll need more than just the two of us. This is a tough one (and we did the easiest one)."
"We had such a fun time!! My husband and I have done one escape room before, and our 7 yo son wanted to try one. We had trouble finding a place that would allow kids under 10 other than in a private room. Escape Pro was welcoming to him and we had an excellent experience. We booked a 10 am reservation. I had questions the night before and messaged the business, and someone responded right away. The intake experience was great - the place is very organized and professional looking. They also have a waiting area with games - giant Jenga and cornhole -which is a great bonus. We ended up in a group with 2 other adults and 2 8 yo kids. Having three kids was great, for the most part, because the adults weren't in a rush and we were all there for the kids. If we had been really trying to kick butt and get out fast, it would've been annoying and the kids would've felt left out. But it worked great for our group. (If they don't already have one, I think a "no kids past 5 pm" rule would be good just so everyone can decide what they're signing up for.)The kids were not really solving the clues, but my husband was coaching them to try and help them along. Frankly, the kids were happy just to open locks when the grown ups found codes. They felt like they were participating and they all had fun. I also appreciated that nothing in the room was scary.I also like the system for hints. You get three fee hints, after which each one costs you 3 minutes. There is no one from Escape Pro in the room (which made me feel less dumb trying to find my way through). We used two. The person giving the hints can see you, but not hear you, and it's fine. Our first hint was: "I see you're using This. You need both This and That." They did a good job of making sure we got our hour's worth but stood a fighting chance of finishing, too.Love that Escape Pro had so many signs at the end, and great backdrops. Our son was so excited that we finished and happy to celebrate. On the way out, I asked, "Was that as much fun as you thought it'd be?" and he said, "BETTER!!""
"Great experience! Definitely going back! Definitely recommending. It was fun, difficult, and everyone was so friendly"
"My husband and some friends had done all of the ones at the Grapevine location pre-covid. The Escape Game has been the best of any of the escape game places we had tried. We had talked about trying out some of the other ones out of area but never really had gotten the chance with that group of friends. I recently found out they had added this location with a few room experiences that the Grapevine one didn't have. Plus, My youngest kiddo also had just discovered his love of doing escape games when we went to Minneapolis location when we went up there to visit, and there we did Mission Mars. (Why they don't have Mission Mars in Houston, with it being near NASA is crazy!) So at The Colony we did The Depths & Special Ops: Mysterious Market. Without giving anything away, while I liked a twist in the market room ... I think of the two The Depths was our favorite. We lucked out and had some fun folk end up being booked in the room with us. I totally recommend taking advantage of the after game deals they offer if you plan on doing other rooms. They do plan on adding a Train themed room at the end of the year/start of the new year that we do plan on trying out!"
"First time doing an escape room, someone else made the arrangements, and all of us had a great time. Our group had 8 people, so it wasn't small, and we did the Summer Camp room. It allowed a full hour, and you get 2 clues plus a 3rd if you check in on social media (done!). We ended up getting pretty stumped at one part, using 1 clue, and then finishing with about 14 minutes to spare. I think with a small group - 2 to 4 - it could have been very very challenging to finish in time - but we had a blast with our group. Super creative and well-thought-out room. It's notable that we had a 10 PM timeslot, so we had dinner and drinks first, and I'm sure having drinks beforehand made it extra fun. =) There were a few folks finishing rooms when we arrived, but I think we were the last ones out. I don't know if that's normal for a Saturday night, but I would assume that 10 PM isn't the most popular timeslot (lol). The intro videos were helpful, especially for newbies like my wife and me. The rest of our group had done at least 1 escape room before, btw.Karina was our game master and she was great - definitely on point, friendly, and professional.I went from not being the least bit interested in escape rooms to very much wanting to do more of them! Super fun with a fun group and pregaming - highly recommended."
"This was actually our 4th visit to the Grapevine Escape, and it's so well done! It's a locally owned operation, and the husband and wife team who own it are IT professionals with extreme attention to detail. Lots of innovation at work! The entire staff is energetic and helpful. They really are the best Room around. Highly recommend!"
"Great mid level escape room with awesome game master! We went as a group of 5 on a Saturday night. We were promptly greeted and checked in by the amazing friendly Laurel! We did the Zombie themed escape room. We finished with a few minutes left, with a little help from Laurel. It's hard to review these because I don't want to give things away. The good:Laurel the manager.Clues that didn't just give you the answer, just steered you towards the thing ya overlooked. Not too hard of a room. I would sad mid level difficultly. Great production value.Variety of different puzzles to hunt. When time was running out Laurel didn't make us suffer, she let us know we already had what we were looking for and somehow put back down. Never over detailed with the clues. The not perfect:No red herrings, nothing extra in the room, what you need and is puzzle related almost stands out. But maybe not to all?WE WILL BE BACK!"
"I came here for a company party. The games and drinks were fun. The food was mediocre. The staff was polite albeit understaffed.Overall I enjoyed it, but they need to have more people on hand, the bar line was too long."
"I don't like the 4 person minimum when there's no reason for it. It's a money grab, and I think it deters groups of 2 people from booking. Bad business model. And ended up costing me $60 each for 2 people. This room was barely worth $20pp. Besides that, the room itself might be fun for Stranger Things fans, but if you're a real escape room fan, you can skip this. There are much better escape rooms in DFW. I'm also skeptical of a room that can alter the difficulty, my guess is they gIve fewer or more hint cards depending on whether you choose 10%, 25% or 50%. There's a reason this one never shows up on recommended ERs in DFW..."
"Let me out, Let me out!!!We had a blast trying to escape the "Game Over" room, although we were unsuccessful it was a lot of fun. We had 10 people in our group and at the beginning seemed like we were not going to figure this thing out but we finally started to work together and figure it out. One of the girls that was with us is closterphobic but she didnt seem to be bothered by the room and was a great help...just in case anyone else was having second thoughts about that.We took a group picture at the end that was soon uploaded to facebook....great memories! One of the employees came in at the beginning and kinda explained on how things would go and they do give 3 clues throughout your hour time limit if you absolutely want it. The employee also explained the newest "Pirate Ship" room that is multiple stories that we should look into next time we come. I absolutely look forward to doing this again for my birthday or just an outing with friends. It is a good way to get people to work together in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. Do this!!!!!!!!!!!!"
"I have been here twice, and plan on completing all of the rooms at this location. I have never lost here and the game masters are usually pretty social and good with presenting the game. There are different levels of rooms, but these are challenging and have unique puzzles, being able to be a part of their experience is cool. There is always a homeless person out front though and made some of my party members feel nervous, but overall the location is nice and you should definitely check it out if you are an escape room fanatic like me."
"It has been awhile since my last visit to Escape Game Grapevine. My husband and I had done all 4 games here with friends prior by 2018 based on my previous review. Our kids hadn't gotten into Escape Games at that point, but my youngest kid has finally gotten into them. so we brought him to do playground here at the Grapevine location. Even though 2 of us had done playground before, it had been 5 years so we had forgotten a lot of clues; plus a number of things had changed. Which says a lot about the re-play-ablity of these roomsCheck in was awesome, Sage was super nice & had an awesome conversation with our kiddo about pokemon while we signed in for the waver forms. Alex with the green hair helped us while we did the room and was outstanding! Great hints given we had a smaller group in a room made for a bigger group. So major shout outs to Sage & Alex with the green hair! If you do play ground try to have a group of 4+ if possible but we were surprised, and Surprised Alex, we pulled it off with seconds left on the clock! We for sure plan to come back again so that my youngest can try Heist or Gold Rush!"

My friend and I found a Groupon and went with our kid's. It was a lot of fun, and we're planning on going again. It's fun for all ages. I had never been and didn't know what to expect. You don't have to do each room in any order, you can choose which ones to enter first and you can go back as many times as the time you pay for allows it. I like that the employees were nice and helpful when we needed help, but they were not intrusive, they left us alone to enjoy the place. We love this place!

This is by far our favorite escape room to come to! Stephanie and Donna are amazing and genuinely want you to have a great experience while you are there. My son and I have done two or three rooms on our own and now two with my husband there as well, and we've had fun each time! The rooms are well themed, but I like that they have a logical order so that you know if you get from one thing to the next thing, you are on the right track. There are lots of other things in the rooms to try to throw you off track, but that just makes it more fun and makes you be sure to focus. We typically have been able to have a room to ourselves as well, which I prefer because I think it might be a little challenging to do an escape room with people you didn't know at all. I also really appreciate that they often do specials and try to help make it affordable for families. Their sign wall is fun at the end as well! Overall we love this escape room for the fun, value and especially the customer service and hope to be back again soon!

Loved it. Team building event and went off perfectly. Don't let the location throw you off. I have done two different escape rooms in two different states - both were in industrial spaces. The guy manning the shop was amazing. All around great experience for the whole team - not easy to do!!Thanks for a great time.

Came here for my birthday with friends and we had an AMAZING time. Every room we've tried so far has been really fun.We did the prison break room and it was surprisingly fun and effective working with another group we had never met before. Very clever set up and I like that they give unlimited hints. Perfectly satisfying puzzle experience! And we escaped! We can't wait to try the rest!

Went to North Texas Escape Rooms for a team building activity. The staff did a great job in handling our large group. We had a great time as a staff and in small teams. I look forward to returning and trying a different room.

Overall we had a solid experience here. We did the Lab room. It was really well laid out and the clues were thoughtfully done. The story of the room was great and it connected well with the overall layout. We were able to make good progress and find the clues that we needed. We were able to work as a team, connect and move forward. The only minor issue that we had was that even though the hosts were nice and informative, the style of hosting was a little too upbeat for us. Kinda reminded us of the cheerleaders from SNL. If the energy and excitement was toned down from 12 out of 10 to a 9 out of 10, it would have been more comfortable. Overall though, it is a great escape experience.

This was the best Double Date night EVER! I'm so glad I chose to experience this place. Ammon was the gentleman who assisted #TheFinishers through the night & was such a great host ! I will definitely be recommending this place to others & hope to soon return myself. Side note: So long as COVID persists you'll have to wear your mask throughout the night, but each room is so engaging that you're too busy solving puzzles to even notice.

As a family we've been looking for a place to do an escape room. Came across this place on the web and on Sundays they have a discount (from $29 to $22) so we made a reservation for six online. After fees and such it came to about $154 or so. They do have cancellation insurance that you can use within the last 72 hours for $3 each but we felt like we didn't need it for same day reservation. The place has a bar food type menu wings, burgers, decent mix of combination appetizers, sliders, chicken fingers, salads....Beers on tap as well as axe throwing and so concerned about the mix of those two....LOL... Also classic video games arcade so was definitely worth the trip today. It's a nice place and feels like a place you can hang for a day. Plenty of televisions for watching sports. The escape room was fun. Ryan who was our host was very friendly and very helpful....Lord knows the things he must see and hear as families work through things and argue like we did... but you get 60 minutes to get out and we did it with a minute to spare. There are a few other options for escape rooms so it does lend itself to return visits. I think the challenge was pretty fair and did require team work. We each were able to contribute so definitely a family friendly environment. We did the escape from Alcatraz. Three hints are given and they also are kind enough to give little baby hints along the way which helped us on our very first escape effort. They do have costumes that you can use to get into the spirit. Overall a fun time in the escape room and we'd do the other themes but definitely on Sunday with the discounts. We didn't do the axe throwing. The video game setup is either $12 for an hour of gaming from the first swipe (so don't swipe and then do the escape room) or $15 for four hours. Seemed to be no question that the four hours was best value. However, in hindsight an hour is plenty of time for games. After about two hours we were definitely getting weary of it, and after three hours we were ready to go...Just for clarification we did the video games after the escape room. I thought the food was pretty good. We had among us the boneless chicken wings (with BBQ flavor), chicken fingers basket, Timber Hamburger, a salad, and the chicken tacos. Probably came out to about $65 before tax and tip. Good and fun vibe from the staff there and some great nostalgia as the video arcade had among other favorites: Joust, Donkey Kong, PAC-man, Ms Pac-Man, punch out, track and field, operation wolf, zaxxon, and a slew of pinball games. Overall around $90 on video games, $150 for the escape room, $65 for the food. For six people about $50 more or less per person for a solid 4-5 hours o fun. Have to say fair value and a good time so we will be back.

"Me and My SO were first timer to the Escape room. Went along with another couple who have done this in the past.We made a reservation for 7:35pm for Murder Mansion. Got there early (15mins prior to appt) but we were checked in and got started. The person who checked us in explained the process and what we need to complete the escape room.We took the hints from game master but managed to complete the puzzles within the 1hr timeframe.Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the experience and happy that we were able to finish a difficult level escape room."
"We had the best time here last weekend!! We were on a double date and paired with another group in our room. The clues were challenging, but not impossible. Our room (The Study) had a 20% success rate and we made it with 5 minutes to spare! It was a blast and I will absolutely return! The staff were helpful and did a great job explaining what to do (it was our first time)."
"My husband brought me here for a birthday surprise, so it was just the 2 of us and there were 3 different rooms for the minimum of 2 people. We did the Secret Vault which had a 35% passing rate. It was challenging and fun and even though we didn't escape, they did allow us 15 extra minutes with 3 more clues and we got out in 7 minutes. It was only 1 room, but it was so well thought out and some stuff that was super crazy hard, that I would have never thought of. I liked how clean everything was and well kept. I've been through some escape rooms out of the country and so I thought that this room was comparable in the level of difficulty for some parts, but for sure the puzzles were done very well. I've told a lot of my friends about this place, so I can't wait to go back with them. There's no red herrings, and the game master did very well with guiding us during the clues and was very thorough with the rules. Can't wait to go back."
"Although this was not the most challenging or innovative escape room I've been in, I will give Escapology props for the overall experience. One of the main reasons we chose Escapology was affordability and thus, the ability to book out an entire room. Sorry, strangers, but I just don't enjoy doing mind-bending puzzles with you. We paid for all the spots in our room and it was quite affordable. If you're interested in doing the same, I'd recommend a different approach: check out their bookings ahead of time online. If they seem pretty free, head on down there without a reservation. Check in a few minutes before each time slot and see if anyone is registered to play. If not, you can just book however many spots you need rather than booking out all the spots. That will save you some cash! The room we did was The Code. I would rate this room a 5/10 for difficulty. I felt some of the "clues" were lacking. Without giving too much away, I'll just say this. At other escape rooms I've been to, one clue gives you the answer to another. So if you need to collect 5 items and then place them in an order, some other clue/puzzle will tell you the order. This room it was less complex than that, so we were often thought we were missing clues that didn't exist. That just left a little to be desired for me. However, there was one clue that was particularly obscure, and I'd be really surprised if anyone ever gets the answer without a hint. Overall the room was pretty light on the challenge, but still fun - we made it out with about 14 minutes left. The area of Escapology is a welcome respite from the rest of Shenanigans. It felt cool and modern, a contrast to the kids arcade surrounding the place. We were even able to get beers (at a great price!) at Escapology. Had we planned better, we may have lounged for a while at Escapology and done a second room. Hint: they should really offer a discount for a same-day second or third room! One other customer service note: Although our GPS originally said we'd arrive 30 minutes early, we ended up being nearly an HOUR late for our escape room experience (!) There was a huge accident on the bridge, and there was no escaping the traffic (pun intended). We did try calling Escapology multiple times to notify them of our tardiness. Unfortunately there is no direct line for Escapology that we could find, and the Shenanigans main line was super unhelpful. That should be resolved; there should be some easy way for us to call and advise we were going to be late. They did eventually call us about 10 minutes after our appointment asking where we were, and we were able to explain the circumstances. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us despite the mess and our lateness. The employees were very forgiving and totally fine -- probably because they didn't have a ton of reservations. But whatever the reason, it was a relief that they weren't angry with us. Escape rooms are for entertainment, after all! We will definitely return to Escapology! I would 100% recommend this escape room for a larger group (corporate outings). Given there are so many other activities at Shenanigans, it'd be a fun filled event for any group."
"When Zelda, Final Fantasy, Super Mario, and Silent Hill/Resident Evil aren't enough.ProsChallenges Group InteractionsCleanliness AtmospheresConsTime Restraints Clues There are a number of these places scatter around the city but this one in particular is very interesting. Since there are a number of challenges it allows people to work together as a group to solve a number of puzzles. They are challenging on a number of levels except physically. It forces you think critically the entire time. For the searching and hunting for clues. These places are relatively clean without specs of dust on anything. Each room is a different scenario which fits the atmosphere perfectly. Time restraints cause people to act a certain way. Since each room gives only 60 seconds it helps people stay focused and not stray away from their goals. Also the increased pressure can be overwhelming to some. Periodically people receive clues as to what to do next, they can either help the game or make it really easy depending on people's weight."
"Visited today with my company. It was really fun trying to unlock clues and find ones hidden in plain sight. I will definitely be returning soon with friends and family . This is something people of all ages can do and enjoy . We made it competitive ladies against guys and we won . Fun , exciting and different . 5 stars from me ."
"This is a fun activity to do with a group of friends! You can get by with 3, but it's definitely easier with 4 or more. The 90 min pass is a good amount of time to feel like you've gotten your fill. We attempted every challenge at least once in that time! Labyrinth is part of a whole activity complex with axe-throwing, trampolines, and obstacle courses as well. You enter the Airborne Trampoline Park and ask for Labyrinth passes at the front desk.I liked that the rooms were a mix between physical and mental tasks, but definitely preferred the physically-focused ones. The mental puzzles were sometimes confusing because you walk in blind with no instructions or hints (you can ask for hints from the employees though). I will say, I saw the all-kids groups breeze through many of those rooms while adult groups (including mine) took many tries. Maybe the challenges just required a certain creativity to solve.I will say for germaphobes, it's a high-touch activity and you can see that wear and tear on the objects, so I'd bring hand sanitizer."
"We played the diner room and it was so well done! I love all the props, the clues/locks were great, and had good progression. No red herrings. We met the owner and he was just so, so kind and really had a passion for escape rooms. We didn't do great but we had fun still, will definitely come back for the other rooms."
"Park around back. This place is in a little old house along a busy street. We had a large group (10) so we got a great price on Groupon! It was only $12 each. They have two rooms, one holds 8 ppl the other 10 ppl max. They room itself was cheaply made, but not horrible. This was my 3rd escape room, some are nicer than others. The room we did had an escape rate of 15%!!! Our odds of escaping were not great! We did NOT escape, but still had fun trying! Because the price is so good, I would consider coming back to try the other room!"
"I organized a team building activity here and it was lots of fun! We went to Groupon and got a great deal. Then we booked the "lock me if you can" room and we finished it! It allowed our team to really listen to one another in order to solve this puzzle.Customer service is great! I spoke to her on the phone on suggestions of which one would be best as far as difficulty level and she provided a great recommendation!"
"Well we had a blast at this escape room. We did the Wild Wild West themed room and WE ESCAPED!!!!The owner is very friendly and we cant wait to get back to do the Secret Agent room soon! I think that room is just for a limited time...but not sure about that. But it is the most advanced room I think you can do here. The location is kinda hidden so look for Aarons Rentals and Remax Realty it is in a little shopping center close to In and Out Burger. This place has a great sitting area when you walk in and is very clean."
"I coach high school club volleyball, and my team and I were looking for something to do in the Dallas area for some team bonding. We found Project Panic and had a great time! We did the Cabin escape room, and there was a great combination of easy, medium, and difficult puzzles/problems to solve in order to get out of the room in time. Our game master, Grey, was super helpful with hints and did a nice job explaining things that didn't make sense to us. We escaped the room with a mere 7 seconds to spare. If you like solving puzzles with a bit of time pressure, you should definitely check out Project Panic!"
"Escape rooms are fun, we all know that! Though when I heard about a mobile escape room set up in a tent, I had to check it out and reserved my judgement. Now that I've done it, I have to highly recommend it! It's a great setup for parties and events both corporate and private. They'll come to you which makes it highly convenient. Working with Scott, the owner, is also a pleasure. On to the escape room itself. With only thirty minutes, the main challenge is to carefully manage your time. The challenges were fun and intuitive, and teamwork is required to get through it. My group wasn't able to finish in time, but we came close! Scott also designs and creates all his props by hand, which adds wonderfully to the ambiance."
"First room of the night. Doing 2 tonight. Our group has done very many of these rooms. Some in my posse have done over 30+ rooms so they have experience. We did the tree house room. Have to say it was difficult. It was kind of sloppy and really didn't have like a starting point to work your way down the line. It was all over the place. Which isn't that much fun, might I add. It was very dark in there not much light. So many riddles to solve in such a small amount of time. It was a lot to take in at once. The host of our room might I add was very nice. We didn't ask for many clues, because we like to brainstorm and trying to figure it out without asking for too many clues. I would not likely return to do another room at this location. On to the next room!!"
"I recently experienced the "Witch's Tower Adventure" at The Secret Chambers Escape Room in Fort Worth, and it exceeded all my expectations! The moment we entered the room, we were captivated by the immersive environment. The decor was incredibly detailed, making us feel like we had stepped into a magical medieval world. The puzzles in the "Witch's Tower" were diverse and well-crafted, requiring our team to think creatively and work together to solve them. Each puzzle was unique, adding to the excitement and challenge of the escape. The storyline was engaging, and the progression of the challenges felt natural and well-paced.The staff at The Secret Chambers were wonderful--friendly, attentive, and ready to assist with hints when we needed a nudge in the right direction. Their enthusiasm added to the overall experience and made it even more enjoyable.I also appreciated how clean and well-maintained the facility was. It's clear that the team puts a lot of effort into providing a top-notch experience. We had such a great time that we're already planning to come back and try the other rooms, like the "Poe Adventure" and "Area 51 Adventure."Overall, The Secret Chambers offers an outstanding escape room experience that is perfect for groups of friends, families, or team-building events. If you're looking for an engaging and fun challenge, the "Witch's Tower Adventure" is a must-try. Five stars without a doubt!Pros: * Immersive and detailed room design * Unique and challenging puzzles * Friendly and helpful staff * Clean and well-organized venueCons: * None! (Though the photo fee is a bit high, the overall experience more than compensates for it.)Looking forward to our next visit to The Secret Chambers!"
"This escape room was absolutely incredible! It's not your typical flashy escape room--it's so much better. From start to finish, it was a wild, laugh-out-loud adventure. Robby, our host, crushed it! He made the entire experience unforgettable with his energy and humor. Our escape room was meant for adults, with hilarious inappropriate jokes, group challenges, and quirky character interactions that kept us entertained the whole time. Forget boring clue limits--here, the characters jump in to help with puzzles, adding a fun twist. Plus, we got to wear costumes, which made us feel like part of the story! If you're looking for something unique, immersive, and ridiculously fun, this is the escape room to try. Don't miss out--it's an experience you'll never forget!"
"The clock tower. Honestly the place itself was in a really cool place. I definitely will go back. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were decorated nicely and had plenty to fantasize about. Every turn made you more and more inquisitive."
"Lancaster is closer to Dallas than I realized and the historic theater is the perfect location for a haunted escape room. So much detail and thought has gone into the script, space, puzzles, decor, design, lighting, music, props... Will and Bert are fabulous hosts and made our experience exceptional."
