"While I had family visiting town, the family in-town and I felt this would be the perfect location to have dinner to celebrate our reunion. The drive from Frisco to Garland is definitely worth the trip. There was plenty of space to accommodate our large party of 15. The staff was very friendly and super helpful with the menu selections. I can't remember what we all ordered, but I do remember we ordered our own selection and then ate from each other's dishes! LOL!Here is what I remembered this most:1. Chicken Adobo - very delicious!2. Beef Pares - the fried rice paired with the beef was excellent!3. Sizzling Sisig - I think multiple family members ordered this - it was enjoyed by all!4. Bistek - great comfort food! And dessert was AMAZING!!! Halo-halo is a must try if you've never had it. The presentation and serving is most impressive. Also try the turon - a sweet and crispy banana roll served with ice cream was the best way to finish off the delicious meal!I highly recommend a visit to Taste of Philippines!"
"Hidden gem! we didn't know what to expect coming into this place.. but to our surprise it was a great spot! environment was good..Quick & attentive service..Food was pretty good! We LOVED the Thai chili wings & the Brussel salad was delicious! (Everything we ordered was amazing tho) drinks were really good as well (not pictured) Our server and the manager were so sweet! Wonderful experience overall."

"Not for me.I walked in and thought it was super strange that the doorway INSIDE smelled like cigarettes, not the outside. Then I realized that smoking is allowed indoors at this place. I seriously thought Louisiana was the only state where this was still allowed and was shocked.Beer selection was fine, nothing to write home about. Don't come looking for a bunch of craft beers. Our server did a great job even though it seemed like she was the only one working tonight. They also warn you with a sign at the door that they're short staffed, but honestly I thought it was fine. Maybe if I were throwing back drinks, I would have needed to go up to the bar for more drinks, but for our group, I found the server pretty attentive. We had the chips, queso, and salsa, and the mozzarella sticks. I thought the queso was pretty good. I didn't really touch the salsa because I kept eating the queso. The mozzarella sticks had a nice cheese pull when they first arrived at the table nice and warm.I had a nice time but when we left, my jacket smelled like an ashtray. I'm pretty sure all of me reeked of cigarette smoke. I got home and immediately threw everything in the washer and showered. My jacket still smelled like cigarettes after the wash so I sprayed Febreze on it.I appreciated the Saints stuff on the walls and honestly I thought the ambiance was great for a large group. I just can't deal with the indoor smoking, so I won't be returning."
"I tell y'all what! If you're into freshly made true Mexican food of the Oaxacan region that offers you lots of flavor....then, I highly recommend this awesome restaurant. Don't let the looks of the restaurant discourage your visit...they definitely make it up on their freshly made and BIG portioned dishes that they serve. If you're a Vegetarian like me, we do have some choices...but, it's limited. I highly recommend their Tacos of Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom) and their Tacos of Huitlacoche, (Edible Corn Mushroom), pronounced weet-la-COH-cheh. They are big portioned and the tortillas de masa (corn tortillas) are freshly done...so, don't expect your dish fast since these people actually start doing your food as you order dish from their menu. They were delicious!!! Note: You can have the Flor de Calabaza (Squash Blossom) and Huitlacoche ((Edible Corn Mushroom) in empanadas too.Note: Huitlacoche (Edible Corn Mushroom) - It is also known as cuitlacoche, corn smut, and Mexican truffle. Note: The menu that's on this Yelp review from a fellow Yelper isn't the complete menu. So, come on in to see their awesome dishes. Note: This restaurant prepares their dishes Oaxacan styleMan, I just wish I had taken pics of the dishes that my family were served. My Brother had one of their Tortas...and it was HUGE! It was the size of the whole plate...and with that stated, it was packed with delicious flavors that left my Brother wanting more.I tell y'all...the menu that is on the fellow Yelper's review doesn't display the full menu of what this restaurant really offers. Somehow, I or someone will need to take pics of their full menu for everyone to see.I highly recommend this restaurant for its delicious and BIG portioned dishes that this humble restaurant offers. Definitely give them a visit...you won't be disappointed"
"This was a quick and easy experience downtown. Nice clean place. Empanada was served hot and fresh. The crust was properly cooked through. The ground beef on the beef chimichurri empanada I ordered was well seasoned. Roasted peppers added some zest. The pie had just the right amount of cheese inside. Will return with a bigger appetite next time and try a variety"
"The location of this place is a shopping center, so there's quite a bit of parking! I'm going to be honest this place doesn't look like much, but boy is everything top tier! Although, the staff mainly speaks Spanish they were all so kind and patient. The bathroom was clean. Anytime the stove/kitchen are visible it gives me a certain level of comfort because I can see the food being prepared!I ordered street tacos with corn tortillas and steak, so yummy! I ended up ordering 4 more...My mojito was perfect! And I ended up ordering another one of those as well...Although this place looks quite humble, I highly highly recommend it! I'll definitely be back"
"A Delectable Delight at Coaches Box: Hickory Bacon Burger and Chef SaladRecently, I had the pleasure of dining at Coaches Box and indulging in their Hickory Bacon Burger and Chef Salad, and let me tell you, it was a culinary experience to remember. The Hickory Bacon Burger was a true masterpiece. The burger patty was juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection with a delightful smoky hickory flavor. Topped with crispy bacon, melted cheese, fresh lettuce, and tomatoes, all sandwiched between a soft, toasted bun, every bite was a burst of savory goodness.Equally impressive was the Chef Salad. A vibrant mix of fresh greens, crunchy vegetables, savory meats, and creamy dressing, it was a refreshing and satisfying choice. The combination of flavors and textures was simply delightful, making it a perfect accompaniment to the hearty burger.Overall, my experience at Coaches Box was exceptional. The Hickory Bacon Burger and Chef Salad were both delicious and satisfying, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a tasty meal. The next time you're in the mood for some good food, be sure to give Coaches Box a try--you won't be disappointed!"
"EXPERIENCE:I dropped by on a Saturday around 11:30am. Not busy just us and someone else with their child. The person was on FaceTime having a whole conversation the entire time we sat there to eat our lunch. They were very loud and so was the person they were talking to. Then someone from the kitchen sat with them to eat so it had to be someone close to the staff. Extremely rude to have a loud conversation while your customers are trying to enjoy their food. The dining room is spacious and nice but they bring your meal out in take out containers. They also give you plastic utensils. I wouldn't mind this so much if the broccoli/veggies were cooked longer. The broccoli was so hard my mom couldn't pick up the broccoli with the spork provided. Not only were they hard but they weren't cut so we couldn't scoop them up either because they were so big. You're better off getting your food to go and eating at home with your own utensils. FOOD:The portion sizes are great. I ordered from the all day combo special and it was enough for two. Drinks are canned/bottled and water is available too. No zero sugar soda available which was a bummer but at least they have water. I had the Hunan chicken. The flavor of the food was fantastic but the broccoli and bell pepper needed to be cooked more. And I usually like my broccoli to have crunch but they were barely steamed lolChicken broccoli had great flavor too. They do have a buffet option during the week but again you pick a container size and that's how you choose how much food you get. I think that may be the "From the bar" on the front of their menu. I will order again for take out/delivery but ask for my veggies to be cooked longer. I asked the cashier if they could do that and she said yes. I wouldn't dine in unless they have better utensils and plateware."
"Came back again and it was just as good as the first time we checked the place out which prior to the pandemic. The food still had great flavor. I had a kids meal with Mac & cheese and mash potatoes with cream gravy. The Mac & cheese had really good flavor and was creamy. The potato's had some skin left on and the gravy had real bacon in it. The kids meal comes with a drink. My fiancé got the daily special which is $3 cheaper than regular price. He got the chicken fried chicken with mash potatoes and gravy and corn. The chicken was cooked just right not dry at all the breading was crispy and had a good flavor. We split the banana pudding and it had chucks of banana in it and was so yummy! I hope we make it back sooner and not wait so long."
"This is a hidden jewel. It may be a small establishment, but they deliver good food, great drinks and some really great live entertainment. The chicken nuggets, roasted pablano soup, Korean fried chicken sandwich are delicious. Kitchen closes at 9:00 pm.The staff are welcoming and the service is good.Look for some great bands on Wednesdays , Thursdays and Saturdays.A real treat is Caruthers & Delaine. They rock the house. They play once a month and you won't be disappointed. It's a mixed crowd."
"What a wonderful discovery! Authentic taste and great service! Feeling of local small business!"
"Awesome chicken wing spot located around the Lakewood area! I got the 2 piece dark chicken combo that came with fries and a drink and was left full and content, especially for the price. Only $7 all around for quality chicken and quick service. Also, the fries were seasoned to perfection too with their Cajun seasoning. They only allow drive thru at the moment, but the service is fast and there's never a line. All in all, if you're looking for a chicken spot and want something simple and quick, I definitely recommend checking this place out. The people inside are wonderful and polite too!"

- Sisig: the portion was pretty small, and there was nothing special about this dish. It lacked a few ingredients that I would find at other restaurants (3/5)- Pancit Bihon Noodle: I enjoyed this dish more than the Sisig, due to it feeling more "complete" (4/5)- halo halo: due to the container it was it, it was pretty hard to eat and mix around to get the perfect bite. It was good, but also felt like it was missing something (3/5)

Tried this place for the first time and I was very pleased! The atmosphere is good and so is the service. The food was very tasty and they have a large diverse menu. The prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for! If you're in the area this place is worth trying!

My husband were looking for something different and stumbled on Ruby's Restaurant. They specialize in authentic Honduran and Oaxacan food. The food and service are excellent! We had street tacos. The chicken was succulent and well seasoned, with sweet onions, lime and cilantro. Our aguas frescas were delicious and refreshing. If English is your only language, be prepared to point and smile a lot. Everything is fresh, handmade and delicious! We'll be back very soon!

You absolutely have to check out this hidden gem at the shacks! My experience at the empanada joint was nothing short of amazing. Ever since my trip to Tulsa, Oklahoma, I've been searching for empanadas that could match that experience, and let me tell you, I hit the jackpot! I ordered the six empanadas combo, which came with two delicious sauces for free. The star of the show was definitely the ham and cheese--oh my goodness, they were incredible! I also tried two mouthwatering chicken empanadas and two others that I can't quite recall, but they were equally delightful. I think I've just found my new guilty pleasure to indulge in when I'm not training for a marathon! Seriously, you have to check out this place; it's my new favorite spot, and I bet you'll love it too!

If you love, small family, Mexican restaurants, this is certainly a great stop. Food was above average and prices are very reasonable. The service was quite attentive, but not intrusive. I had the nachos which are typically a favorite when I try out a new Mexican restaurant. These were the full plate kind instead of the pile of chips with Velveeta sauce over the top, which is more to my liking .Great place for lunch or an early dinner. Take the whole family. They are certainly welcome. It looks like they want my review to be a little longer. Let me add that they can see large and small parties as the tables are four top, which can be put together to see 8 to 12. It is casually decorated and a very warm and welcome place to have dinner.Again, a little Mexican restaurant to keep in mind the next time you're looking for a Mexican fix.Chris

Ehhhh... honestly the food was decent. It was absolutely not what I wanted to eat. I was hoping for healthier options to choose from and there just wasn't anything that hit.The wings were good, service was great and atmosphere is def a lot like BWW or... twin peaks. Def like a sports grill. Which is probably exactly what it is.

Have gotten take out a couple times now! Large portions that are worth the price. I really enjoyed my sweet and sour shrimp, although it was more batter than shrimp. The other time I got the scallop and shrimp in garlic sauce and liked it way more. Great mix of veggies and just right flavors. The orange chicken portion is huge and tasty, according to my partner.Service has been timely and courteous. Will definitely be back when we're craving Chinese take out or in a pinch for dinner.

"Service was excellent. My cheeseburger was cooked well and not greasy. Bun not too soft or sweet. Just right. Place is clean and nice. The complimentary bread was delicious!"
"Sunday around 5pm this place was really quiet. I love that it is secluded off the main area of Deep Ellum. The dining area is cantina styled and you order via the kiosks and pick up in the lockers. I see the vision behind this cafe. Since everything is pretty much self-service, you get to focus on the food. I got a specialty dumplings combo meal and it came out to about $18. Delicious food. Very friendly for those who don't want social interaction."
"Came here for the first time for a Hawaii gathering this past weekend. Being born and raised from Hawaii, it was super nice to see fellow locals thriving in this area. I've tried many Hawaiian dishes and a lot were mediocre and/or below average, especially the poke (raw fish), but this place, was on point for sure. We ordered the kalbi plate, mixed plate (garlic chicken and bbq chicken plate), both the Hawaiian poke and spicy ahi poke, spam musubi, and a piece of Chantilly cake. The garlic chicken are in chicken wing form which isn't the normal cuts, but the flavor was the same exact way I remember it from home. The kalbi and mac salad was on point. The bbq chicken was ok. The spam musubi was the best that I had here in TX. The spicy ahi poke was more flavorful of the 2 pokes. Chantilly cake was amazing. They also sell a lot of other desserts, snacks, and Hawaii canned juices. Highly recommended.Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lots of tables to dine on. Clean restrooms next to a cool Spam canned wall and lots of parking outside. I'm pretty far from the DFW area, but will definitely be back if I'm ever in this area again."
"Not going to mince words here. This chicken is fantastic. I'd go back every day of the week if it was healthier and I lived close. Unfortunately, it's not the healthiest meal and I don't live close. When you enter, you wait in a line to order at the counter, and then take a number and sit down where they bring you your food.Tenders, wings, doesn't matter. It's worth your time. It's worth your commute. It's worth the calories. Go now, before you change your mind."
"My favorite dish hungry meal, contest with 7 chicken tenders, bread and fries. I love chicken tenders. So, shortly :Fast service 10Tasty food 10Enough portion 10Will recommend everyone!"
"Just enjoyed the sausage and egg sandwich. Stewarts has been open for about 46 years, I was told. Options for lunch are chicken, pork chops, sides of corn , green beans ,pinto beans, turnip greens, peach cobbler, banana pudding, deviled eggs and more"
"The place is a good option if you are around the area. It seems very popular for locals. - The food was good, but honestly it wasn't wow. It was well portioned, and it's the typical comfort food. They do have hamburgers, sandwiches, and salad options. - The service was extremely good. Our server Zita (I hope I am spelling that correctly) was on point with her recommendations, and very attentive. - Parking it's shared with all the other locals, so it may get packed at peak hours. - they have plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, and it's good for small and larger parties. They have booth, table, and bar seating."
"We were glad we decided to try a new restaurant. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated, by the host. Our server Angel was very attentive and friendly. The food overall was great! From the BBQ to the country style options. My daughter tried their smash burger & it was also really good. We had some pecan pie w/ vanilla ice cream & homemade banana pudding too... We will definitely be coming back for more!"
"Meatloaf was literally 1/2" thin - was cold by the time it arrived. No dipping sauce for fried string beans, veggie plate had no containers or lids so everything soggy. No butter or honey for rolls. No silver or napkins.I understand saving money but don't skimp- charge more and satisfy!"
"Not quite what i was expecting in terms of ambiance, it was a bit more dive barish than I was expecting, but the staff and the menu were excellent. It seems this bar is a victim of its environment at some point, but regardless of the surrounding area, the patio still appears to be quite popular, this is definitely a local's hangout. I was impressed by the variety of the menu, even more impressed with the brisket sandwich! It appears regardless of where you are in Texas, the BBQ is top notch. The tater tots on the other hand are not worth trying, unless you're a fan of frozen tater tots. The staff are full of energy and very personable, this is a great place to hangout for a while. Cheers!"
"Excellent service and excellent food! 2nd time we have eaten here! Will definitely go back if I'm the area!"
"I was so happy to find this café in the middle of nowhere. It is so cute inside and super clean. I had the chicken and waffles and it was so good. this is gonna be our new breakfast spot."
"If you want an AMAZING handmade, thick, juicy burger this is your place! I'll be back for sure and I don't know if I'll ever be able to order anything but a burger. Service is fast and friendly!"
"Our 2nd time eating here and we were just as happy as the first. We came a little later on a Saturday with a larger group (8) so we did have about a 45min wait but we expected that and were happy to wait. The guys went to the small bar to wait and the girls went and walked around some stores in the shopping strip. Service was great. Food was excellent. Everyone cleaned their plates. I tried lunch this time and got the Ranch Chicken melt. My Mom got the turkey bacon club. Fries were delicious. I want to try their okra soon and sooooo many other things on the menu. Their coffee is smooth and delicious. We purchased some beans on our way out to be able to enjoy it at home. I got a abuelita con cafe from cocktail menu and there was no question their was tequila in there. It was strong. I appreciate a strong drink. I did add some more coffee to it to meet my taste preference. Highly recommend this place if you want great food with good service. No reservations on the weekends. Don't be in a hurry if you're going on the weekend because the secret is out."
"Great buy 1 get 1 on Uber Eats, tasty food. It's a ghost kitchen, with good home cooked meals"
"I came here one time for brunch and we had great service and food. This second time I came here because I wanted a good slice of cake and they definitely have some good homemade cakes and desserts! I also noticed they have an update on there entire restaurant which is nice."
"Quality product! , salmon croquets were good, a little hint of spice with good flavor. The potato hash was also done well. Overall I'm glad I gave them a try"
"This one is for stick to your ribs food. Fried chicken all around with French fries. Perfectly battered and crispy - you can choose breast quarters, dark quarters etc. deviled eggs were a hit. Service is really fast and they were nice as well. Owner or manager came by a few times to check on us too. Note that the floors can get a little greasy/slippery so be careful."
"Manager on staff was amazing Shelly, was amazing with food recommendations as well as conversation. I would recommend this place and come back."
"We went here recently for late breakfast/brunch and our overall experience was not good!Restaurant was clean and cozy and had different seating options. Atmosphere was busy with all kind of decorations which might be too overwhelming for some. There were plenty of free parking outside. We ordered Malai paratha that was not on their regular menu and were told that it was "special", plain paratha, Irani chai with milk, and Kashmiri chai.Their "specials" were listed separately on the chalk board behind the front counter, but Malai paratha was not on it for whatever reasons. First, I think "special" menu should be in front of the customers so that they can clearly see instead of behind the front counter. Good thing I asked for the special of the day and only then I was told about the Malai paratha. Why was it not listed on the chalk board? How come the server never bothered to mention all the specials? How would the customer know about all these non-menu items if chalk board is hidden and the server will not tell either?Malai paratha came with house made yogurt, little honey, and house made, decent, size paratha. Irani chai with milk came in a regular cup and had sugar already mixed in it!When ordering our tea, I specifically asked for the sizes of our tea to see if we need to order more than 1, but the server gave guessed answers and wasn't sure about the exact sizes of our tea. Why not put an actual size of the cup in front of the ordering counter and make everyone's life easy? I found out that all of their tea only come in one size and different tea had their own sizes and they are not the same! Our both tea came in with sugar pre-mixed in it! Again, server didn't bother to tell us this important information as the mixed sugar felt little heavy to us. What if someone has any sugar intake restrictions for whatever reasons? How about not mix any sugar at all and have customers add at their table according to their taste instead? Malai paratha and house made yogurt were good and worth the money. Unfortunately, plain paratha was a big ripoff! Did not come with anything beside the small size paratha which costed us $3.99+tax! These type of parathas are sold in any South Asian grocery stores for around $6 for 5 of them! Why selling for so expensive? What is so special? We thought plain paratha would be their house made paratha and size like we got with our Malai paratha order otherwise we would not have ordered it.Both tea were also not good. Kashmiri chai tasted like a coconut syrup was mixed in it! It tasted so bad that we had to ask for a replacement and we got Karak chai instead. Karak chai was also nothing special. Just a regular home made tea type of taste which again, heavily laced with sugar. We left half of the tea. Irani chai with milk was just okay, but mixed sugar made it nothing special.Last but not least, there are only few establishment (to my knowledge), specially in TX, where they charge extra in the name of "service fees" on top of their menu prices - unfortunately, this business is one of them!Their food menu prices are already on the expensive side. Customer service is also iffy. Why charging almost 4% "extra" in the name of service fees then? On top, this extra fees is not even disclosed anywhere and you will only find out after payment!Charging this extra fees is ridiculous specially when the menu prices are already high! The disappointing part is that they don't have any posting or sign that says anything about this extra charge. Isn't this fees fraud and unethical? At least put a sign and/or tell the person what extra they are paying for. How many people pay attention to their receipt? People don't even asked for their receipt let aside checking the receipt for what they have been charged for.It doesn't matter how much business is paying to the credit processor or whatever overhead they are paying for. Menu prices should include everything. Or, don't take any cards and just accept cash. Or, at the least, put a clear sign at the payment terminal about this extra charge so customer will be clear on what exactly they are paying for.Not a single time anyone came and check on us if we needed anything after initially serving our food even though restaurant only had 1 other family beside us.At one point I saw a lady (owner/manager) came out of the kitchen and went to the front register to check something. I thought she was going to stop by on us, but she just walked back to the kitchen. Last I saw her she was on the phone.Based upon our personal experience, I will not go back or recommend this restaurant to others unless they improve their customer service, business practice, etc."
"I recently visited Ford's Garage in Plano, Texas, and while, had a mixed experience. To start, I tried the Angry Orchard and Yuengling Lager beers, both of which were refreshing and complemented our meal nicely. I also appreciated the craft your own flight option, which allowed us to sample a variety of beers. It's a fun way to explore their offerings! For appetizers, we ordered the buffalo chicken dip, and it was really good! Creamy and flavorful, it was a great start to our meal. However, I was disappointed with the desserts. We had the molten lava cake and the brownie with ice cream. The brownie was tasty, but the lava cake didn't have the gooey center I expected. The atmosphere at Ford's Garage was nice and casual, which I liked. However, the service was a bit slow and not very attentive, which took away from the experience."
"Last night was our second visit to this little gem after discovering it last week. My FIL's 80th birthday was coming around the corner and we knew this place would be perfect for a celebration. Both visits were amazing! The cuisine delicious and the staff impeccable. Last week's visit, I ordered the 7 oz filet, medium rare with truffle fries. My hubby ordered the prime rib with a loaded baked potato and we shared a wedge salad.Last night, we started with the onion rings - not on the menu but they are good if you like those. My hubby ordered the same thing from last week. My MIL got the shrimp cocktail with asparagus. My FIL ordered the fried shrimp with fries. After checking out some of the reviews here, I ordered the smoked pork chop and truffle fries. Honestly, I think I could just make a meal out of those truffle fries (I LOVE it) and a salad. The entrees arrived well paced from the onion rings. Everything looked amazing! However, I think the star of the show was the pork chop! Double bone in, thick and moist with a nice char on the outside. I gave everyone a bite along with a little dip of the plum sauce that goes with it. It's huge so I ended up taking it home. The fried shrimp must have been good because they were all gone. Well? What are you waiting for? Go there, get some. Life is too early for boring food. Just be sure to go early or make reservations because it's a small place. Don't sleep on the dirty martinis and wine. You can't go wrong with anything you choose but you definitely need to try that chop."
"This Taiwanese food has been established for sometimes. It is great place for breakfast and lunch. This restaurant has a lot of regular customers. This is local well know Taiwanese restaurant. They carry typical Taiwanese street food. We got the Taiwanese Rice roll. It has fried pork floss a fried dough. It just like in Taiwan. We also got salty soy milk which my wife favorite. She likes it for breakfast. The last dish is the beef pancake. The slice beef shank is delicious for the in filling. Overall is good Taiwanese restaurant. Definitely come back for more especially for the deli lunch specials."
