"This entertainment c NYT is pretty sweet. There is so much going on inside, including a small zip lining area. There's an entire game area that's unbelievable. There's also a restaurant that's inside and outside, and has large screens for tv viewing. The theaters are LARGE with recliners and pods. Lots of room to stretch out. So much sound the chairs shake. The popcorn and drinks are self-serve, so I was shocked that they ask for tips. Of course it's up to you if you tip or not -- you could always tip yourself. But once inside in the recliners, you can order food to be delivered. That'd be a good time to tip."
"09/02/22- Saturday It was my first time watching here. Great customer service by the Front Checker (Mr. Denzel). Place is very clean ..."
"Well, what can I say about this little slice of history in Dallas! An independent theater with an amazing history, it's a little bit like taking a step into the past. I had visited many years ago, but an indie movie brought me back to Texas Theater and I'm glad it did. Parking can be interesting, I'm still not 100% where the free lot for the theater is, but I've usually ride shared or lucked out with a street spot after the meters are free. Staff was extremely friendly, and for the show that I was at, it felt like there was a good bit of community for staff & regulars that come out for a lot of the indie films. I will for sure come back for the things that are Texas Theater exclusives in the future!"
"$6.99 for a soda but the ice machines were not working and when we asked for ice we got about 5 cubes. I tried going to one bathroom but the light was off and locked."
"I've been to the bar/lounge here once a few years ago but this was my first time seeing a movie here. Can't weigh in on the concessions or the bathrooms so this'll just be about the movie experience. My friend and I were the only ones here for the movie. The seats are comfy but you can tell they're a little old and worn (upstairs theater). They don't recline but they do rock a little? When the movie started, the lights along the walls weren't turned off so watching a scary/vampire flick with the lights on wasn't the best. I came here because it was close to me & had the most convenient show time after having to reschedule from another theater a couple of days before. If I had a choice, I might pick a different theater next time (but the bar is cool). Just nothing special here. Meh."
"The Plaza Theater is a former movie theater that's been converted to a space for live shows. They rent out to a number of different groups. Check out shows from the Company of Rowlett Performers, or CORP (full disclosure, I just performed in one of their shows!) It's a great space to see a show. The acoustics are good, and the movie-theater style seats are comfortable and wider than many theater seats. There's no designated parking lot, but there's usually plenty of free street parking around the theater in the downtown Garland square. From the acting/backstage side: there's not a ton of space in the wings, and only a very small dressing room, since it was built as a movie theater originally. But it's otherwise a great theater space, and you can make it work for any show!"
"I drove past it 4 times and couldn't find it. It reminded me of a theater back in the 70s but hey the price was 5.00 and they had dill pickles in a jar. The 2 girls behind the counter looked like twins and were really nice. The seats were small I'll stop here and just say it's only 500 and actually I enjoyed it. It brought me back to my childhood and like I said they had pickles. Which is a nice touch"
"Cheap and close is the positive. You can grab a movie but don't have any expectations because you will be disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm from employees, the dirty, broken seats, sticky floors and a smell that permeates the entire theater building.Grab your movie tickets and theater snacks, enjoy your movie as comfortable as possible and go home and take a shower!"
"Nice quaint, unassuming cinema with cold drinks and freshly popped popcorn that we visited all the way from Denton in March 2021 at the height of the COVID-19 lockdown to see "Senior Moment," which was not showing any where in our local area at the time.My overall impression was that it was sufficient for us in all respects, though frankly it was a bit minimalistic; we liked the film better than we liked the dog eat dog drive to "L'ld.""
"09/28/23- Thursday It's my very first time watching a movie at this location. It's clean and seats/ chairs are comfy :-)"
"B&B Wylie was pretty clean compared to other theatres I've been to. We did not get an concessions so I didn't take a close look at the concession stands if they were clean or not, but the movie theatre rooms were free of popcorn on the floor, and the reclining chairs did not feel gross. I loved the large comfortable reclining chairs, especially since movies are now minimally 2 hours long! We attended a 4:00 showing on a Saturday, and the theatre room was pretty much empty except for 3 other people besides us (also a group of 3). When we exited the movie, the theatre was packed with incoming families for Saturday movie night! Apparently, there are theatre rooms with attached play areas for kids to play in while you go watch a movie! Sounds distracting in my opinion, but cool for families that are interested! Overall, it was a nice local theatre!"
"Big shout out to the cleaning crew. I came two nights in a row and got seated early. People are seriously pigs, popcorn and trash everywhere. The crew came in to clean and it was thorough and sanitized., my seat didn't recline I mentioned it and one guy knew how to fix it and did. They would get Five stars but two draft beers was 18.00"

EVO has a lot going on inside such as a arcade area, a restauraunt area and movie theater. They have a couple of areas for parking. My friend and I came here to watch the IF movie. I ordered tickets online and was unable to print my tickets at the kiosk. I asked a staff member about checking in and he informed us we could just walk in. The seats were comfortable and spacious. The movie was heartfelt and sweet, we enjoyed it. The prices for food and tickets were expensive. However I would return to check out another movie.

After our great dinner, we went to the AMC Theater that's literally in walking distance from the YardHouse. We did everything on the kiosk. We did yell, for help because we had a few questions. I couldn't utilize my rewards because my birthday had already passed. However we did get a $5 reward for our next visit. I wasn't aware that we could've gotten a small popcorn, and slushy, and candy bar while purchasing The new Marvel Movie tickets either. Certain incentives should pop up on the Kiosks screens especially when folk are purchasing $55 tickets for two people, and a $15 upgrade for the Premiere perks. Smdh

Great place to see films in 35mm. They have few new releases and play a lot of older films. The seats aren't new or recline but they're really comfy and wide. The bottom original auditorium is HUGE. I like sitting in the last room but it can get annoying with everyone going out for drinks during the film. They serve alcoholic beverages, pizza and other snacks.

It's new, it's clean, it wasn't super crowded. Food delivered to you rather quickly and you can pay at your seat too. Food was good, I only got popcorn but my daughter and husband got food and had no complaints.I will definitely be back.

This theatre was really vintage and cool. The pictures on their website show couches and bean bags and I was really looking forward to watching the movie in them but sadly it's not in all the theater rooms just the one downstairs i guess so don't be fooled by their web pics. The regular rooms had regular chairs, no reclining or anything. Overall the theatre was nice and me and my friends had a good time taking pictures in front of it and inside but if you're going solely for the couches, double check you're going to be in that theatre room. The price was 8.50 for matinee.

This place is not fancy or grand but it has its own charm. Think of this place like a small town/ local version of a theater you would find in downtown Dallas. I went here one weekend to see a local comedy show and it was nice just to take a stroll and see all the surrounding shops as well!!Pros:-there is a variety of shops and stores to explore nearby. (book , music , café, movie shops)-you can lounge around and enjoy the weather at the square-during special events they'll have activities for guest at the square outsideCons:-homeless people out here sometimes near the plaza-can get crowded if there's a lot of people. The recommendation:This place is not a must see, but do come by and check it out if you have nothing else to do!

What can I say. It's the closest theater from my home. Screens are bit small but for the population that lives out here its just fine. Watch a movie for 3.50 lol damn that's cheap. Pretty empty at time i went, pently of parking and seats. Floors could be mopped bit sticky. Restroom pretty clean. Popcorn taste good. Yelp not bad.

I stopped in to watch Kung Fu Panda 4, with my mother. When we entered the theater we were greeted by a messy floor and apparently "pungent odor" I was thankfully unaffected by these debuffs, however comma, mother on the other hand was too taken aback and had to leave. Although alone I greatly enjoyed my movie watching experience as it felt like I was right back at home. Until next time pupils-Sensei Jared

"I'm of the opinion that the best way to watch a movie is in a theater, and the best theater to do that in is the Alamo Drafthouse. There's just something about Alamo that makes the moviegoing experience better ... and my husband and I were excited to introduce some family members to this extra special theater for a showing of "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse." We purchased tickets online the day before for a 6:10 movie, and paid attention to the website's direction that it's best to arrive 30 minutes early. I had never been to this particular location before, but can see how this spot could get very busy during a concert at the Toyota Music Factory. I appreciate that Alamo doesn't play ads before the movie, but instead tailors its previews to the movie that you're about to see. We loved the throwback Spider-Man comics and cartoons, and the brief history lessons about some of the characters we were about to meet. We shared a few things for dinner, including the buffalo chicken pizza, the buffalo cauliflower, and the chicken tenders. They were unfortunately out of the "I Want All of You" pretzel, so we settled for their regular soft pretzel, which was still quite tasty. The chicken tenders were particularly delicious - crispy, hot, and well-seasoned. We also liked the buffalo cauliflower, but found the pizza to be a miss. The crust was too thin for the sheer amount of toppings piled onto each slice, and didn't really work as a handheld. Even still, our service was great - and all of our food came out just as the movie was starting. I'll continue to hold Alamo in the highest regard as far as movie theaters are concerned - and can't wait to check out another location soon!"
"This place is sad, I remember I came long time ago and it wasn't as bad, this time I really don't know how this place is still open, so we came here bc there weren't tickets Available of ant-man in other theaters, so we came here bought the tickets only, but no one check our tickets, there were only two people working there, no post for new movies in the walls and they didn't show any trailer before the movie, when the movie started the screen was black, so we went to complain, but no body was there, we waited couple of minutes then the movie started again. The AC was set at 68, so we were freezing the entire time, We are definitely not coming back."
"Blake is the most attentive, caring, professional and timely server we've ever had. He remembered everything we ordered and every time he walked by, he looked at our tables, to make sure we got our food. When the movie had been on for a bit and he had walked past a couple of times, he asked me if I had gotten my pizza yet. I said I hadn't, he said it'll be right out and it WAS! He even came behind the expeditor and had the crushed red peppers I had requested! He needs a raise for sure! It was also nice, that on Valentine's Day evening, the theatre wasn't crowded. We didn't have anyone sitting on either side of us. Best experience at this Alamo we've had thus far"
"It's ok. The positives are that the staff are very friendly and helpful. The waiters check if you need anything. One girl even helped me print my tickets. The negatives bring down the score though. As another person said it's super hot in there. I guess they are having issues with AC. I wish I knew that before hand so I wouldn't have dressed warm expecting it to be cold, but I digress. The seats, though pretty comfortable are super cramped. I felt like I was sitting in an airplane! No foot rests, if you need to pass people they will have to stand up so you can pass them. The milk shake my husband ordered was very pricy to come in a small beer glass and tasted very chalky. The worst part though, probably the bathrooms. I went into a stall without realizing there was not only no toilet paper, the toilet paper holder seemed to have been ripped from the wall. Please put bathrooms out of order that don't have toilet paper. Thanks!"
"4 stars based upon the fact that the concession prices were actually reasonable. I got a chili cheese dog, pack of M&Ms, 2 drinks and nachos for $30.The theater wasn't extremely cold and the staff was very helpful. I'll be back!"
"A group of us wanted to see the new Keke Palmer movie and decided to check it out at this location. We arrived and were immediately greeted and assisted with purchasing tickets. One in our party is a military wife and we were pleased that military discounts are offered. We were asked to take a seat in the lobby until the theater opened. This is a very sexy theater! I think it's the black accents and whatnot. 4 stars due to ordering wings and paying $18 for only 4 with celery and carrots. The menu prices definitely need to be reviewed . Also, there's a 18% service charge added to all orders."
"I've never been to a Strike and Reel, but have driven past this place quite a few times!I went here to watch the 2024 Twisters movie. Movie theatres have definitely changed quite a bit since I was a kid! I loved the big plush reclining leather seats with a cup holder and food tray. Extra brownie points for the heated seating option for people who love a toasty seat :)You have the option to order your food while seated in your recliner and they will bring your order to you. Alternatively, you can go to the "Self-Serve" counter and order at the counter.I felt like the matinee tickets were fair (around $12 per ticket). The prices for concession were a bit pricey and I didn't appreciate that they only had 1 size for everything. Highway robbery lol. Please bring back small sodas and popcorn! I don't need a large bag and soda by myself! TYSM! Large popcorn $8Large soda/tea $5"
"Last night I had the good fortune to attend a promotional premiere of AVATAR: The Way of Water. One word describes this 3D cinema experience; Incredible! But first the theater. This AMC was built about 15-20 years ago as part of a new expansion at this shopping center. At that time and in keeping with this facility,it was first class. The tickets were also more expensive and prices climbed over the years.Even though I loved the cushy seats and enormous screens,I started going to movies closer to home. As a result,I hadn't been to a movie her in years and had no idea what the current theater was like. Enter last night. The Real D 3D and Prime experience are second to none. The 3D experience of Avatar The Way of Water was mesmerizing and breathtaking. The new 4 way adjustable recliners are top of the line and fit like a car seat. The snack bar is a more modern take on munchies including my choice of gourmet ( think delicious Carmel corn) pop corn.Since this Premiere was free I have no idea what ticket prices are. I know they will be steep to see this movie in 3 D with this level of experience.Phones/Cameras we're not allowed into the premier so,no photos.Totally worth it though and if you want an immersive 3+ hour movie experience....Go!"
"It's been awhile since I came here. As you know, I was visiting the Fountains Fellowship Church. TFF rented out two theaters so we could watch the Jesus Revolution for $5.00 so, I came here.Thank you, TFF.The theater is easy to find. It's super dark in there so, use your cellphone light to find your way. The sound is very loud too so, take you some earplugs. Also, dress warm it's cold in there. The seats recline and are in good shape.Jesus Revolution is a must see. It is about Greg Laurie's personal struggles with relationships and challenges of ministry. He begins his life as a skeptic gets saved and saves the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You can too. If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. I invite you to do so today. Just say, Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and I make you my Lord and Savior. In Jesus Name Amen. Now, your on your way to a revolution just like Greg Laurie. God can use you just like Greg Laurie."
"This theater is tucked away behind a large bank building, and can be very hard to see. It is by far the smallest theater I have ever seen...but don't let the size fool you. Inside are two screens, both quite sizeable, with ample seating. From what I understand, this theater is not open year-round. It opens during summer blockbuster season, and when highly anticipated movies come about. I suppose that's why when we showed up, the guy thought we were there to see the new Mission Impossible movie. We were actually there to see The Muppets. When we got there, I was feeling a mixture of both excitement, and nerves. I looked around, and it looked like the Movie Theater That Time Forgot. The concession stand was dimly lit and looked like it hadn't been used in ages. There were movie posters rolled up in a corner, the marquees still used removable letters...it was OLD SCHOOL. The theater is owned/operated by an Indian man, who was the only person running everything. He was the concession stand clerk, box office clerk, and projectionist. Tickets are the cheapest anywhere for new flicks. $5 for adults, $3 for kids, all the time. The movie-watching experience was pretty nice...although about 2/3 of the way through the movie, the sound had some hiccups, which the man explained was due to the way he had everything set up. He apologized for that, and we didn't really mind, since he was so incredibly nice to us. He also REALLY loves and is proud of his surround sound, which he gave us a demo of (we watched a 20 minute segment from XXX, and the explosions, car crashes, ect. sounded really great), and he was really anxious to show it to us the entire night. I have to give him credit...he may not be running a sparkling, shiny new theater, but I liked his enthusiasm for what he did have to offer, and sometimes, that's all you really need. We will most definitely be back for an action flick to make use of his sound system."
"Lots of parking and shopping near by! I came here for a staff outing. We had the private bowling area. We had a great time. The screens were easy to use and they had plenty of games to play other than your traditional bowling. I would definitely come back with family and/or friends to check out the other amenities. We had the package with drinks and popcorn and they refilled everything regularly."
"As a nearby resident, you can't beat the location or the ticket prices ($6 per person). The theater is under new ownership and appears to have some growing pains. It is understaffed with one person doing the tickets, one person behind the bar and one person with the concessions. We would of purchased drinks and popcorn had there not have been such a long line. The bones and cosmetics of the theater are beautiful as it was previously The Venetian- it just looks a little run down right now. The chairs are leather with a recliner and a foot rest. We would return. Best of luck to them!"
"I've thoroughly enjoyed all my times watching movies at Angelina. It is a top-notch film watching venue with nice bar downstairs and snacks and bevs upstairs. Thank you for years of quality screening in the Big D!"
"Despite saddling them with the sheriff's badge of one star in this review, I have no beef with AMC in general. With as many locations as they have it is usually a standardized experience that it is all fine, maybe not fully automated luxury gay space communism like we're all looking for when we have at least four sawbucks burning a hole in our pockets, but still fine nonetheless. But then there are locations such as this particular one which drag the average down precipitously. As many other reviews note, parking is not ideal. This is in a huge mall area sharing a single parking lot with LegoLand and a bunch of other large draw venues. My rental car also got keyed during the time I was watching a movie so it is not a particularly high end clientele you will be sharing the single parking lot with. It was a rental car, no political/personalization bumper stickers to make anyone mad, and it was parked within the lines, so I am not particularly sure why my rental drew someone's ire so much that they felt the need to key it, but it lets you know there are no cameras anywhere in the lot for security. So I obviously wouldn't recommend anyone come here since (a) you already have notice that crime happens in the lot, (b) there were no cameras to capture the tortfeasor in action, and (c) no security response of any kind. The ticket taker person at the front of the AMC was the high point of the experience, she was friendly and directed me to which end of the AMC my movie-film would be in. Now we have the rest of the miserable experience. I looked at the AMC webpage and googled to confirm ahead of time this location did not have Dippin' Dots - the AMC webpage would not let you order them online at this location, the AMC webpage did not have it on their online menu either, and several google results said this location did not have Dippin Dots. What did I see when I walked over to the snack area and waited in line? They had a freezer for Dippin Dots. You filthy, filthy liars.Unfortunately the freezer was not set at the correct temperature so I purchased my Dippin Dots and walked into the theatre expecting to eat them straight away. But it was frozen into a solid block of ice, since the freezer was not set at the correct temperature. I have been eating Dippin Dots for over 25 years, I know a thing or two about how they work, that was the only good part of my first job as a teenager that way back then, before they really caught on elsewhere, I could get them every shift to make working a minimum wage job with insane micro-managey rules more palatable to a surly teenager. It took 20 minutes to thaw enough I could jam my Dippin Dots spoon (tm) in there and actually eat the dots, that is how incomprehensibly poorly the Dippin Dots freezer was set at. Just let me eat my dots in peace, don't make me stare at a block of ice for 20 minutos. As if that was not bad enough, the seat I was assigned to was on its last legs and literally broke in the full-on recliney position as soon as I got in it and the motor would not move it back any. So I had to spend the entire movie-film at a full hospital bed tilt. It was like "netflix and chill" without the netflix, just a 40something year old man trying not to fall asleep during the movie-film since this was bed angle, not movie theatre seating angle. The gentlesir's restroom was also filthy, it easily could have been on par with one in a Greyhound restroom except for the fact you know it would actually get hosed off at least once this decade in the Greyhound stations in Buffalo and Detroit I have been in for hockey reasons over the past few years. In short, I find nothing redeeming about the movie going experience at this pee pee soaked heckhole. AMC? More like Ain't Comin Here (dyslexia, it checks out)"
"I was running a little late due to of course a wreck on the main highway. However, VIP line went quick, ane I got a free upgrade on my drink due to being a premier member which I have yet to get at AMC Northpark even tho I always do a medium drink...so this was extra sweet. Then I was the only one in the theater..:which I low key love. I think tonight deserves a 5 star - bathrooms (I mean it IS a Wednesday)"
"This rating is solely based off as a theatre and not the food. This place is a nice place to watch a movie. I wouldn't recommend ordering the food however. It's not good especially being so pricey. So the theatre itself is a (4/5). It's very clean inside and the entrance has a bright open feel to it. The seats aren't bad since you can recline backwards.Food rating: (2/5). The popcorn & nachos had a slightly stale taste. The side of fries were was very expensive for the tiny serving given. I understand that inflation makes it hard, but at least if you're charging so much, please have better quality of food."
"This is a fairly small theatre that operate like the studio movie grill. I tried the food once at another location but it was not pleasant . In this occasion I was only there to enjoy the movie . Not a huge or spacious venue but it heads decent as far as cleanliness and quality go. I went to see the Smile 2 movie and I enjoyed it for the most part. Now I could hear another movie so vividly next door while watching my movie that it was pretty distracting. The seats do recline and from what I could see with other guests, the customer service was attentive and friendly . A fair experience but nothing extra ordinary about this place ."
"Perfect seating with the big red lazy boy style chairs! Super comfortable and very clean! Staff is a little slow, but they get the order right! You can order tickets online before going or pull up and grab tickets at the kiosk! Food is extra expensive now! Be prepared to pay like 10 plus bucks for a hot dog and drink! I love getting the kids pack with an upgrade on the candy and hot cheese to dip the popcorn in! Enjoy a great movie and time solo or with family and friends!"
"The Denton Alamo is the first one I've visited outside of SF. It's a very different experience, more like a regular theater than I expected, but still a great place to watch a film. I was in theater 1, which was stadium style seating with very plush, reclining seats. This was very much like big chain theaters I've been to. Fortunately, this was minus all of the annoying advertisements that come with those theaters and instead Alamo's fun intro shorts. Food and drink, of course, were on point with the usual Alamo selections. The vegan cauliflower with the gochujang sauce were stellar and there were many good beer selections available. Service was incredibly fast but perhaps due to the fact that I was at an 11:45am showing on a weekday. Still, I appreciated the friendly and helpful service when inquiring about seasonal draft selections. Enjoy the film!"
"It's wonderful to have this movie theater at the once Magnolia spot. Easy purchasing of assigned seats online or in person. Friendly staff.I love watching movies in their comfortable recliners. If only the sound was much lowered and their blue indicator lights were hidden from view during the film, a perfect movie experience it'll be.CHEERS!"
"What an awesome Valentine's Date Day we had. My wife took the day off so we could take in an afternoon movie. We had tickets for the Dolby theater in Clearfork that offers enhanced sound and video. This is the second time we've seen a movie at the AMC Clearfork. It was a wonderful experience. The personnel are so helpful and friendly. The only thing we purchased at the concession stand were soft drinks since we had just had a big Velentines Day lunch prior to the movie. One thing is a bit strange at the AMC Clearfork. The footrest of the recliners doesn't go up all the way. We tried several of them, but it was the same case with each one. We don't seem to remember this from our last visit. It's a beautiful facility, and kept very clean, we'll be back again in the near future."
"When my husband and I first looked at moving into the neighborhood, having an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in the area was one of the positive points of buying here. Unfortunately, Covid changed how everyone viewed movies, and Alamo couldn't survive. They closed all of the DFW locations recently. Thankfully someone stepped in, bought the Richardson location and recently reopened it. While we don't go to the theater very often, we felt it was necessary to get out and see a movie here soon. We want to support this company and make sure it continues to operate. You can buy your tickets in advance online and pick your seats. I personally use Fandango to this. It was really easy to see the theater configuration and pick seats accordingly. Tickets were about $15 each for a Monday night showing of a film that had been in theaters for at least a few weeks. When we entered the cinema, all I had to provide was the confirmation number to the box office (which also appeared to be the bartender?). He was kind and gave us all of the necessary information, "You are in theater 4 that it is at the end of the hall on the right. You are in row 6, and you have seats 6 and 7."Alamo has a variety of theater rooms. Some are traditional big screens that can seat lots of people. The sound is intensely loud. The leather recliner chairs have a half table that holds the menu and can swing in close so you can eat and drink without hopefully getting it all over yourself. We saw Alien Romulus on the big screen. There were only about 6-7 people in our theater. Since it wasn't packed, it was quite cool. This is a great way to escape the Texas heat for a while. The sound was loud and clear and added to the intensity of the horror. These types of movies are always best at the theater for this reason. One of the earlier shows was in a smaller theater. We originally wanted to go at 5, but we didn't want to see the show on a smaller screen...might as well stay home and watch TV for that. I love that Alamo has a bar and kitchen for providing a pre-, during, and post- hangout meal. Just know that an 18% gratuity is automatically included with your bill for the waitstaff. This means a bowl of popcorn and a large coke will run you $20. Ouch! We ate dinner before we came to avoid running up a large tab. We will definitely be back for any of the big budget action films that look amazing on the big screen."
"I am glad that there are several parking spots within walking distance, however the pay for parking is a turn off to coming to this location. When I walked in I was greeted by a ticket lady who directed me to the movie room. She re-directed my friend whom arrived after me as well which I appreciated. The layout of the movie theater is easy, the first floor you are checked in and the stairs lead up to the concession stand, bathrooms and movie screening rooms. We had the movie theater to ourselves, the red recliner seats were comfortable and the noise level wasn't overwhelming. The only odd thing was there was a black film covering the top portion of the screen. My friend and I enjoyed seeing Moana 2 and having the movie theater to ourselves. The bathrooms were clean as well."
