"This review is long overdue! I'm such a huge fan of this place since it first opened. With that being said, I've dined in countless times and also ordered through Uber Eats multiple occasions , especially during dinner times on the weekends. For appetizers, my go-to is the wonton in chili sauce. It's not that spicy, but so good. Then you have to try some of their dim sum. If you want some crunchy texture, the pan-fried pork bun doesn't disappoint. The classic is the steamed juicy dumpling. Place the dumpling on a spoon, add some vinegar on top, poke a whole into the dumpling, enjoy a little warm soup from the small opening, and then eat the entire dumpling. The soup juice just bursts into your mouth - delicious! The Peking duck is one of my top favorites. I believe it has limited availability, but this is a huge dish that should be shared with others. If you're a rice and meat person, their kung pao chicken really kicks the spot. They have fresh hand-pulled noodles that can be ordered during certain hours of the day. You can see the chefs preparing them. I would highly recommend the Szechuan Dan Dan Noodles - that sesame/peanut sauce makes this dish stand out. Lastly, for that rainy/soupy cravings, get the braised beef noodle soup. It gives the cozy vibes. Warning: the portion is huge. The beef is super tender and flavorful. Service is always quick and efficient. They get pretty busy, so the servers do not linger. Drinks are consistently refilled. I shall be back per usual."
"All I have to say is the beef bulgogi and the amount of flavor that is in that dish will make me a repeat customer for the end of time. Staff is always very helpful and delightful to talk to the location has great parking. It gives you a street Thai food feel with the decor inside. I haven't had one dish from them that was not good. Overall this is always a repeat location for me."

"Really liked this place! I had the lunch special for $12.99 which included hot and sour soup (delicious!), an egg roll, and a choice of American-Chinese cuisine (I had orange chicken, there was general Tsao's, that sort of thing). However they also had xiao long bao, a variety of pan fried and steamed dumplings, and other authentic fare. I liked it so much I ended up ordering an entire meal for my family for later I ordered traditional soup dumplings, pan fried shrimp and pork dumplings, chicken chow mein, took my leftovers (which was a lot!), and an order of their own design, chocolate soup dumplings! I have bamboo steam baskets at home so it was easy to reheat things. My family raved and my kids gobbled it up. I sat near the owner who was the absolute nicest - he is French and his partner/girlfriend is from Hong Kong. They just took it over 4 months ago and made some nice changes to the inside and menu changes as well. The kitchen staff is still the same. Go try it!!"
"This place is a must! We found it one day while craving this food. The food is amazing, dumplings are delicious and all the food is. You're always seated fast and the servers make you feel at home and will help you out with any questions you have. I love the place as it has a welcoming atmosphere and you can watch them make dumplings. Overall a wonderful place to try and I cannot wait to go back!"
"After numerous fails of trying to find a good Asian restaurant, I finally found one! The inside was small but clean and welcoming. The staff greeted me immediately and answered any questions that I had about the menu. To add to the nice service, I was told that my food would take about 10/15 mins so I decided to sit in my car. Shockingly, they brought my food out to me!! I got home and I was just as pleased to see that the food looked good! But even better was the taste. I'm pleased. I'll be back to try other menu items."
"I have to admit...never heard of Yao Fuzi until today and a bit hesitant at first but was very impressed. The food was excellent! Once I ordered one dish, I had to try another and another and another just to make sure. The food, prep and delivery all get 5 Stars from me. The service....meh. I may be different than most but when I do go out to eat (especially with friends). I like to enjoy my time and not feel rushed. Especially, if I am picking up the bill for more than $500 bucks for a party of four. Having made that statement. The ambience and decor was enjoyable and light. If I were to make a suggestion: I would market Yao Fuzi as its name suggests. "Asian Fusion". Overall, a very enjoyable experience and the food was delightful!"
"Family dinner and we ordered Chinese broccoli, beef flat noodles, house lo mein, combination fried rice, wonton soup, scallops, roast duck and roast pork and hot tea. Everything was delicious but the fried rice was slightly soft...mushy. I prefer a crispy or harder fried rice. Overall delicious food and I would suggest this small spot with the basics inside. Nothing fancy but good food. When you walk in there is hanging roast chicken, duck and pork like in Chinatown. Loved it."
"Big portion of beef in the noodle soup. Tasty soup like always.Even still a little pricy, but the flavor is still worth a try."
"This was my first visit to Gao's BBQ & Crab and I can say that it will not be my last. My guest and I ordered alot to try and to our surprise, everything we ate was GREAT! Everything was seasoned well and very tasty. Service was also above and Beyond. Our waiter guided us through the menu once we arrived and he was very attentive to our needs. Here is a rating of everything we ate.Fried Oysters: 4/5Fried Spring Roll: 4.8/5Small Lamb with fat: 4.5/5Special Sausage: 3/5Shrimp fried rice: 3/5Egg Fried Noodles: 4/5Cabbage: 3/5Green Beans: 2.8/5Peppered Beef: 2/5"It was very chewy"Prawn: 1/5Quail: 1/5Spicy Grilled Fish: 4/5Hongkong Lemon tea + Rum: 5/5Grapefruit Green tea + Rum: 5/5"
"Food was average, but I will go back and try more than appetizers to make a final decision.Hot and Sour Soup was good. It was very vinegar based in my opinion. Not a bad thing as I liked the flavor. I wish it would have had a little spice to it. I could eat it again, but I have definitely had better. 3.5 STARS Crab Rangoon was a little over fried for me. It was just a bit too crunchy for my liking. The center was soft and cheesy which helped it.I would not order these again. 3 STARS Service was good and the staff were pleasant.Ambiance it's a cute and simple restaurant. I love the art and lighting fixtures. It felt cozy and comfortable. Overall it was a good visit. I want to explore the entree's so I will go back to see if I can give them a better rating."
"If you're in the mood for authentic Chinese cuisine without the frills, this place is a must-visit. While the decor and ambiance may feel outdated, that's part of the charm for a restaurant that has been serving satisfied customers for 26 years. I've been coming here for a decade, and it's never disappointed. The star of the menu has to be the sinful pork belly--absolutely delightful and bursting with flavor. Despite the no-frills setup, the food quality keeps you coming back. A meal for two, including water, came to a very reasonable $32. If you're looking for an unpretentious spot with consistently good food, this is it. Highly recommended!"
"Came here on a last minute dinner on a Monday. I was surprised how busy it was. Still didn't have. To wait but good for them on the busy Monday service. The sever was so nice and we asked her all the things to eat. Got a bit of all. We had to try the dumplings we were not disappointed in the food. Best was the green beans I must duplicate hehe The green tea gin drink was fantastic I might have had two. Can't wait to be back."

Loveeee this place! authentic flavors, exceptional service, and a cozy ambiance, this restaurant is a must-visit! Their orange chicken is an absolute standout--crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and coated with a perfectly balanced tangy-sweet glaze. It's easily some of the best orange chicken I've had in years. Equally impressive are their hand-pulled noodles with beef which I got my most recent visit. They are made fresh to order and are by far the best I have ever had. Their soups are fantastic too, the large is definitely enough to share. The service here deserves a special mention. Every time we come here the staff is friendly and happy to offer recommendations without being overbearing. Prices are reasonable for the quality and the massive portions. Such a great spot for casual dining or even special occasions. Parking can be tough but worth the struggle.

Just revisited dumpling house again after being takeout only customers for the last year and had such an amazing experience! They have completely updated the space and it is so welcoming. We ordered a bunch of dumplings and buns for our table and they all came out steaming hot and flavorful. The Mapo Tofu was bursting with flavor and the perfect amount of mouth numbing spice! I have realized over the years that there is truly not one thing on this menu that isn't absolutely delicious from the orange chicken to the seasonal soup dumpling you can't go wrong! Not only was all the food delicious as always but the owner, Irene, and server were so attentive and kind to us during our visit. Even offering a free sample of the hot and sour soup which I HIGHLY recommend and will be ordering every visit from now on! Don't miss this hidden gem for take out or dine in with a large group because it is the best combination of affordable, well run and delicious!

This might be the best Chinese option in the Frisco area. It was highly recommended by our neighbors and we have enjoyed it as well! The food is always good. My fave dishes have been the fried rice and salt & pepper shrimp. The shrimp is really fresh tasting and cooked just right. We've done take-out and dine-in. I prefer take-out. Dine-in was a little loud and the seating was odd where we sat. Service has always been great! Very friendly and thoughtful staff. Highly recommend!

So for the last decade this used to be our regular go to lunch place, also the only place I'd get chinese food from in the area. It was hands down the best around. The manager knew us and our orders by heart! I would get chicken with broccoli and my mom would get the chili shrimp and my husband the Kung Pao chicken. Also we all loved their wonton soup! People know me as the one who would say that China islands wonton soup has miraculous healing powers when you feel a cold or sinus infection coming on. I would gift it to friends weekly during covid. Since then a while ago, the manager John left and "moved to California" and the food and cleanliness seemed to quickly go way downhill. So we just stopped going after several bad and tasteless experiences. Well Today we came back to use up a gift card. At first our soups came out as a small cup, so we sent it back for the bowls we ordered. Then my soup came out warm and my moms came out hot. So I sent it back. After finally getting it, we were both pleasantly surprised it seemed to be back to almost the same good recipe. Minus the loads of bok Choy and green onions and snow peas that used to be in there. So hopeful they have turned a corner. But hesitant as we didn't try the food yet. Fingers crossed for our next visit!

Really wanted to like this restaurant but was underwhelmed. I had the Kung Pao chicken and my wife had beef with broccoli. My sweet and sour soup was pretty basic and my wife enjoyed her egg drop soup. Kung Pao chicken was okay but the fried rice was undercooked and not seasoned. My wife thought her beef with broccoli was very tender but a little spicy for her. Spring rolls were good. Service and ambience were good but I was disappointed in my meal.

PSA: CASH ONLY!!!Growing up my parents always ordered some Chinese BBQ for lazy days they didn't want to cook. I was craving some randomly and searched far and wide on Yelp. This definitely reminds me of the mom/pop places my parents would take me to. Overall thoughts: Pricier than what I'm used to from Chicago. The Chinese roasted pork was average. I'd definitely would not order that again. What a bummer! The Char Siu and roasted duck were good though. The dishes do not come with rice and it was a separate charge. Dishes ordered:1) Wonton noodle soup: it tasted like the ones in Chicago, and the broth was very flavorful! The noodle dish was generous and had a lot more wontons than I expected2) Combination Plate: roasted pork, char siu, and roasted duckService: the ladies here were super nice. They speak English well, but i seized the opportunity t to practice my Cantonese LOL.

Second time visiting this time for lunch!Still love the flavor of the Lanzhou . The spicy soup dumplings were good too. The meat inside the dumpling had a kick but full of some flavor that you don't typically get too often. It wasn't busy during lunch time but dumplings did take a while to come out. Will be coming back! Side note: their bathroom has some great items like mouthwash and tooth picks that are well packaged

"This is our go to place when we visit our kids in Carrollton! The food is prepared expertly! We're especially fond of the pork fried dumplings! Service is prompt and friendly! Casual dining...great take out!"
"FOOD - Stir fried vegetable with beef - The beef had great flavor with the sauce and the leafy vegetable was cooked great. It was tasty and crunchy. Great ingredients and cooking!- Salt and Pepper Tofu - the tofu was in small pieces which allowed for the tofu to be super crispy when fried. It had great flavor and the onions on top were super sweet and yummy. - Fried Flounder with Salt and Pepper - The fried flounder was also very crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside where the meat of the fish was. The onions had that great pan-fried flavor and were sweet. The onions were actually so yummy and made the dish soooo yummy.- Basil Eggplant + Chicken - I haven't had eggplant before in this style but it was pretty good. The dish came out steaming hot and it was soft eggplant with thin strips of chicken. Pretty great flavor overall!- Crispy Fried Pork Intestine - This dish was super crispy and well cooked. Not a very common dish to people who aren't fan of eating intestines but definitely worth trying because it is tasty!VIBESGenroku is a great restaurant for families. It definitely has a comfy feeling with the round lazy-susan tables and the yellower lighting. The decorations are a mix of Japanese/Chinese/Taiwanese influence which was pretty cool. Most of the customers at the time we went were older or families.SERVICEService was great. The man who helped serve us was super sweet and was super patient. He gave us lots of time to think and plenty of recommendations. The food also came out very fast."
"Wok Star Chinese restaurant in Dallas is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Chinese cuisine. The menu features a wide variety of dishes, from classic favorites like General Tso's chicken to unique, expertly prepared stir-fries and noodles. Every dish is packed with fresh ingredients and bold, balanced flavors, making each bite a true delight. The service is friendly and efficient, and the cozy, casual atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, Wok Star never disappoints and is a must-try for Chinese food lovers in Dallas."
"We have an adventurous lunch group at work and Royal Sichuan was our latest stop. This place is definitely one you should do family style. We ordered too much food as usual and it was about $17/person.Pan fried bun - 3/5 stars. This a Shanghai dish and the ones I've had there are far better. The bun texture was a bit heavy and the pork filling wasn't anything special. I probably wouldn't order this one again.Sliced Fish with Rattan Pepper - I had to didn't know what a Rattan pepper was but it's just a Sichuan pepper. This dish is tilapia chunks in a light broth with mushrooms and plenty of peppercorns. Healthy and light! Be warned that the pepper will affect your sense of taste and this is normal! Eggplant with Garlic Sauce - 4.5/5 stars. This dish is always good anywhere I've gotten it and Royal Sichuan is no exception. Mapo Tofu - 4/5 stars. I've had more flavorful renditions elsewhere but still good. I think it could have benefitted from more spice/heat.Spicy Dumplings - 3.5/5. I thought the wrappers could have been more tender. They ate more like reheated leftover dumplings.Dan Dan Noodles - 5/5 No complaints about this one! The noodles had a great toothsome texture and ground pork added saltiness and fat. We'll be back!"
"Flavorful family style Chinese food with a diverse menu! Seems popular with dine in and take out. The hostess (maybe owner) is jolly and friendly."
"Alphabet Date C. I felt like dim sum and we were in the area so I looked for a spot that started with a C and here we are. It's a lovely restaurant. The ambiance was really nice, clean and quiet. We were greeted and seated really quickly at around 11:30am on a Saturday. Our server immediately gave us water and edamame. He was quick and came by often to fill our water. We ordered hot tea, pork XLB, salt & pepper squid, hot and sour soup, and sweet and sour spare ribs. The winner was the pork XLB. The salt & pepper squid was tough. I wouldn't order that again. I also really liked the hot and sour soup, but how do you really mess that up? The sweet and sour spare ribs were also pretty good. I think I'd try other things if we ever go here again, but I'm glad we got to try it. It was a solid last minute alphabet date."
"I love their lunch specials. My favorite dish is the Teriyaki Chicken. It's so crispy. I also really enjoy their shrimp fried rice, and shrimp lo mein. I've had a lot of the lunch specials and they do not disappoint. Good amount of food for the price on lunch or regular prices."
"Portions are quite strong. Flavor quite strong. MSG strong to quite strong . $$$ quite strong. Two dishes and one small egg drop soup $44.00 #littleelm probably won't be back. Still gave them 4 Stars"
"This place is so good. I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant by my house and this one won! It's cheap too! The chicken is good, the rice is good. I'm about to try their noodles next. I will go back and they were quick when I ordered online."
"My coworker and I have slowly become regulars at Xiaoling's because of the solid service and great food. The lunch specials are very reasonable for a huge amount of food. We absolutely love the noodle soup and I think of it often, but my favorite is the soup dumplings. The restaurant is quaint, clean, and built for fast service. Give it a try over your lunch break!"
"We came to try the peking duck and it was good!!!!pork pao bun's bread was so soft and served warm. Braised Pork belly had tender pork and had the five spice flavor. Lastly we had the yangzou fried rice which to me was just regular fried rice because it had spam in it and was missing the flovor compared to others i have tried. Then the shrimp fried rice was something i could have had by itself because of a smokey flavor."
"Sometimes...I just crave some of my childhood comfort foods. It's hard to find traditional Cantonese restaurants in the DFW area, but happy to stumble upon First Chinese BBQ.The restaurant is not trendy, but the service was so homey and friendly! I ordered 2 meats combo (comes with rice). The portion was very generous and I had enough for a second meal. This came out to be $~20. The BBQ pork was crispy and delicious. The duck was delicious and juicy. !!!CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT!!!"
"So far my favorite Chinese around. Chicken lo mein was cooked perfectly and not too greasy like some places make it. They did not skimp on the chicken. Beef and broccoli was also good and same with the fried dumplings. Only complaint was the dumplings didn't come with sauce or they forgot it. The inside looked clean and was decorated nicely. Ordering online was fairly easy. The one recommendation from me would be for them to add an estimated time on when the food would be done. I had to call to get an estimate which isn't too big of a deal but would be easier not to call."
"I love this restaurant! Tasty dumplings, radish cakes, congee, and noodles with quick service and a clean environment. Nice chill atmosphere with tasty dim sum options!"
"I am by no means a connoisseur of dumpling and bao but, these are good. In the mood for authentic Chinese I fired up the Yelp AI Quantifier and Bam...there it was. Fitting my screening criteria perfectly at 132 reviews with a 4.3 average.First of all,the atmosphere is great. Traditional Chinese design influence is found throughout including the tables and chairs. This is a big deal to me and can put a place on my go back list instantly.Service was urgent and friendly. Although I needed more time to digest the extensive menu,I wasn't forgotten and checked on often. The food was delicious and well prepared. Szechuan chicken was more a traditional preparation than I'm used to but excellent spice level and crunch. The pan fried spicy pork boa were perfect as were the blue China soup dumplings. Finally,I feel like the prices are good for 2024. I even added a lunch special of fried string beans to go for tomorrow. There were plenty of leftovers. There is no shortage of Asian restaurants in every shape and form in the Plano area these days. Fortunately Chinese is well represented and it would be interesting to start working my way through them. Until then with regard to Blue China ...Go!"
"One of my craved favorite restaurants and dishes is tucked away off busy Preston road deep in the back of the strip mall facing Best Buy. If you weren't looking for the restaurant it's easy to miss. Don't be discouraged with a difficult find, it's well worth it.The restaurant is clean, well managed and good for medium sized groups. They have circular tables that accommodate 8 for family style dining. Be aware they close from 3-5pm each day.I've eaten here 4 times now. Service each time has been brisk, professional, attentive but quick and responsive. I wouldn't characterize it as overly friendly or chatty but it's efficient and attentive. The food to me stands out and I love their house signature bun or bao. We've had it steamed each time. It's about the size of a pool ball slightly flattened and steamed to perfection. This is a dish that is hard to eat solo or two people as it comes with 8. The flavors inside the house signature bun is very savory and well balanced. It's not overly greasy and the texture of the bao is delightful. Provided are chili flakes in oil, house signature sauce and soy. We also have enjoyed a few other items off of what is a pretty expansive menu. We've found the portions generous so be prepared. We've had the green onion pancake which was just ok. It lacked a good dispersement of green onion and was a little bland for our taste. The green beans with minced pork is excellent it is fried in oil so delicious but not designed for those diet conscious. We also liked the beef wrap or "burrito" it's an appetizer split into 6 or 8 pieces and good for snacking and dipping. The wrapper is light and beef has good flavor. We've also had a few of the other dumplings and would say they are average to above average. But not overly memorable. The key for us is the house signature bun. Having the option of the dumplings steamed or fried is nice and makes for good diversity if you do family style or come with friends. The combination for us of a signature come back dish, clean restaurant, good value and attentive staff makes this one of our current local favorites."
"I've never been to a Korean/Chinese fusion restaurant but I'm all here for it! There should be a Royal Wok in every city! Definitely a hole-in-a-wall type restaurant, the charm of the workers and great customer service was great! And if you're reading this and not Asian or don't speak Korean - don't be afraid of coming here, I saw a table of elderly Caucasian folks who looked to be regulars- they ordered some of the best dishes to have here!We had the black bean noodles - a must get! A great huge portion which you can definitely share. If you have trouble cutting the noodles before consuming - don't be afraid to ask for help.Sweet and sour pork - crisp to perfection - sauce on the side is the way to go so your pork doesn't get soggy fast!Garlic fried chicken - my favorite dish here, excellent crisp, great tasting, great portion! There was other dishes that were ordered but I stuck with the basics above. I would definitely come back here when I am ever in the Dallas are craving some good Asian food!"
"Cool hidden gem in Frisco. Food and service was excellent! We got a chicken ramen and passion fruit tea, delicious very fresh."
"I've ordered the Kung Pao Tofu ($9.25 before tip and delivery fees) dish from them twice now and have not been disappointed. I ordered it extra spicy each time and it was right on! It includes a pint of your choice of rice.Again, if you order it extra spicy, they will make you very happy! There was plenty of zucchini, carrots, 'shrooms, onions, and bell peppers. They didn't skimp on the tofu either. The first time I ordered, the amount of peanuts seemed to be lacking, but I requested extra peanuts on my next order and they made this guy happy!I really don't have anything to complain about - the sauce was superb, and all of the ingredients were hot and fresh. Five stars from this dude!!!"
"Hidden gem located In Plano. Wonderful food in a warm atmosphere. We had lo mein, pepper steak , and string beans chicken and the food was all superb. I ordered the pepper steak extra spicy and it had a respectable kick but was not killer. It was my first time here and I will definitely be coming back. Haven't had a great Chinese spot in DFW for a while and I believe I have found a new regular destination! Also you know this place is good because it has been around long time and the owner seems to know eveyone that walks in the door . Reasonably priced as well"
"This was my first visit, and everything was wonderful. The most encouraging aspect is that the restaurant was full of people enjoying beautiful, looking dishes... Service was good, food was excellent.I will make the trip again from Mckinney to enjoy this cuisine again!"
"This Taiwanese food has been established for sometimes. It is great place for breakfast and lunch. This restaurant has a lot of regular customers. This is local well know Taiwanese restaurant. They carry typical Taiwanese street food. We got the Taiwanese Rice roll. It has fried pork floss a fried dough. It just like in Taiwan. We also got salty soy milk which my wife favorite. She likes it for breakfast. The last dish is the beef pancake. The slice beef shank is delicious for the in filling. Overall is good Taiwanese restaurant. Definitely come back for more especially for the deli lunch specials."
"First time trying this place. The food is reasonably priced, the staff are nice, and the food is decent. The Mongolian beef was tasty with the fried rice and the hot and sour soup was good. Unfortunately my lo mein lacked flavor and was under salted so it tasted pretty bland. Other than that, I'd be happy to try a new dish next time."
