"Honestly I don't know why this place has bad reviews - the quality has never disappointed and the portion size is large. I always tend to get the shaken beef and it is so good EVERY time!"
"Great price for dry pot, left the two of us very full. The restaurant is in a nice area with a lot of other restaurants or dessert places to go after."

"This was my first visit to Gao's BBQ & Crab and I can say that it will not be my last. My guest and I ordered alot to try and to our surprise, everything we ate was GREAT! Everything was seasoned well and very tasty. Service was also above and Beyond. Our waiter guided us through the menu once we arrived and he was very attentive to our needs. Here is a rating of everything we ate.Fried Oysters: 4/5Fried Spring Roll: 4.8/5Small Lamb with fat: 4.5/5Special Sausage: 3/5Shrimp fried rice: 3/5Egg Fried Noodles: 4/5Cabbage: 3/5Green Beans: 2.8/5Peppered Beef: 2/5"It was very chewy"Prawn: 1/5Quail: 1/5Spicy Grilled Fish: 4/5Hongkong Lemon tea + Rum: 5/5Grapefruit Green tea + Rum: 5/5"
"I placed an order for delivery, and I must say that the service was quick and easy to order. They delivered my order on time, and the food was terrific. Pictured above, I ordered the SPICY JALAPEÑO CHICKEN FRIED RICE. This place is a must for all your to-go orders on classic Chinese meals."
"I've been a very loyal customer atall Skillman Wok locations for decades. Fair price, great portions and reasonable delivery times. My all time favorite dishes are All day combos, sesame chicken, orange chicken, general tsos chicken, beef pepper steak spicy, broccoli shrimp spicy, egg drop soup and steamed dumplings Enjoy and you will know my meaning when you order other Chinese food restaurants and pay big for very small portions"
"Place really has changed. Don't know what they did differently but I am one to give places second chances. Food has really brought up in flavor. The new owner is super friendly and recommendations are top notch! Place is nice and we'll cleaned. I haven't used the restroom since I always order to-go. I highly recommend you getting my favorites, if it's for 2-3 people. What to order: (1) Large- Pepper steak sirloin with onions and W/ white rice(2) Orders of chicken lo mein soft noodle 5/5 guys give it a try."
"Sometimes...I just crave some of my childhood comfort foods. It's hard to find traditional Cantonese restaurants in the DFW area, but happy to stumble upon First Chinese BBQ.The restaurant is not trendy, but the service was so homey and friendly! I ordered 2 meats combo (comes with rice). The portion was very generous and I had enough for a second meal. This came out to be $~20. The BBQ pork was crispy and delicious. The duck was delicious and juicy. !!!CASH ONLY ESTABLISHMENT!!!"
"My family loves coming to Lucky Bamboo. The food is always cooked perfectly and the flavors are exactly what we want when eating Chinese food. Portions are on the generous side so expect to take plenty of leftovers home. Haven't ordered a single plate that didn't taste good wouldn't order again. The thing that stands out the most is the service. We have the same one of two waiters and even when it's been a long time since last dining there the staff remembers our kids and they are entertainingly silly with them. I can't say this is absolutely going to happen if you take your littles, but I don't know why our kids would be treated any differently. So it's fun for our kids which is unique because, let's face it, kids get bored at restaurants really quickly and start behaving in a way ya don't want them to. With this playful staff, and yeah the TVs, everyone's happy and able to enjoy the delicious plates."
"Customer service ok fried rice was the best on this side if Texas service through the fire was scratchy but it was worth the wait"
"Unfortunately I have to agree with most of the reviews.I ordered from Foodsby through my company before reading the reviews but they were spot on. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken and I barely received any chicken.. lots and lots of veggies but barely any bits of chicken. The flavor wasn't bad, lacking a little but not bad. Disappointing that there was more water chestnuts (which have no flavor) than chicken."
"Miss the spring rolls but the Korean bulgogi doesn't disappoint. Good food for price."
"The food was phenomenal- some of the best takeout I've ever had. Minus one star because the service was definitely not a focus though my expectations weren't that high for fast casual. If you're expecting great customer service- skip this place but if you're willing to give that up for delicious food.. worth it! The orange chicken is top tier 10/10- spicy general chicken was also great but I'd give it an 8/10. Pro tip: call ahead to place your order AND wear a jacket because it's freezing cold inside."

Overall: 3.5/5Food:All of food was decent. Lots of them tasted well over seasoned with garlic. Luckily, I love garlic, but my brother didn't.- Pork wonton in chili oil: I thought it would be spicy, but it wasn't. It was good, but I expected some spice.- Ma Po Tofu: I love mapo tofu. It's my favorite sichuan dish. My favorite mapo tofu is in San Antonio at a restaurant called Tiger Chinese Cuisine. Ever since graduating college, I moved back to Dallas and was in search for a mapo tofu dish similar to it. It wasn't similar, but it was still good. It wasn't my favorite, but if I really am craving mapo tofu, I'll go here because this is the best I've found so far.- Dan Dan noodles: it was the best dish out of the four! Very flavorful, make sure to mix fully as the sauce is all in the bottom. - Chongqing spicy chicken: it's good, but acquired taste due to the peppercorn. The chicken is spicy and floral. It's good, but not what we expected.Service:Our server was very nice and helpful. He was well knowledgeable and helpful.Ambiance: It was very traditional and big. Lots of room and good for family and friends.

Reservation: Made reservation on OpenTable. Highly recommended since the restaurant is not huge, and Saturday night was pretty busy!Food: There's a huge variety available, including some more adventurous items (like frogs and silkworms- Eek). We ordered lamb, beef, chicken, green beans, and garlic fish! Ambiance: Interior is cute, but the tables are smaller, and would not recommend it for a group larger than 6. It looks like they have a whole karaoke stage set up for after hour parties! lol Parking: lots of parking

This place is disgusting. The clerk is impossible to communicate with and act like you're not there most of the time. Food is far below average for a trashy Chinese food spot (which means it's pretty low). I'd rather get those frozen instant Chinese meals from the frozen store. Pisses me off that garbage places like this one are still up and running.

This used to be my favorite Chinese food place. Last night we ordered orange chicken, cashew chicken, lo mein noodles and 4 egg rolls with 2 20oz drinks. We didn't get the lo mein noodles at all, there was only a half order of rice with the orange chicken but they added an order of steamed broccoli that was still hard, the cashew chicken didn't have any cashews at all but they put extra celery, and the 20oz sodas are actually 16oz. Will NOT be eating from this establishment again. Very disappointed!!! And the guy at the register was extremely rude when we picked up our order.

This place is definitely underrated! Good food! We got the crispy pork, salted fish / chicken fried rice (which was probably my favorite), Chinese broccoli with garlic, and the combination chow mein! The owner was very friendly and provided good service.

Food is still great for the price but service is terrible. I always come back though hahaha. I always get the wonton noodle soup, seafood crispy noodles, fried tofu, salted chicken, and the roasted pork.

Try the Pickled Cabbage! It's slightly sweet and can be eaten like potato chips with a satisfying crunch.

"Big portion of beef in the noodle soup. Tasty soup like always.Even still a little pricy, but the flavor is still worth a try."
"Highly recommend coming here! Good Atmosphere, Service is great, food is delicious, there's no other spot in the DFW Metroplex with the better Chinese food than this one! We live just around the corner of this restaurant and we come here very often! What I get is the Combination Fried Rice with extra egg, Beef and Broccoli, and Chicken Lo Mein!"
"I love their lunch specials. My favorite dish is the Teriyaki Chicken. It's so crispy. I also really enjoy their shrimp fried rice, and shrimp lo mein. I've had a lot of the lunch specials and they do not disappoint. Good amount of food for the price on lunch or regular prices."
"Solid buffet. Not the fanciest place, but affordable Chinese food. Good customer service. They have a nice variety of food including a mix of cold and hot food, though sushi selection is sparse. I like their dessert section, especially the watermelons. The ambience is solid!"
"It's felt like a good day to have some Asian food for lunch, and I came across this place. It's somewhat small but clean, with seating for about 25 or 30 people. It was pretty busy at the time, but there was a table open towards the back so I took that one, and shortly afterwards the nice woman running the place came over to me with a menu and also pointed towards a board on the counter that had the lunch specials listed on it.I decided on the Orange Chicken lunch special ($8.99) and the lady took my order. At the time it appeared that she was running the front all by herself, as she was quite busy taking orders, payments, serving the food and cleaning tables after the other diners were finished. My food came out about 10 minutes later, and I was quite surprised by how much there was. For a lunch special it was a very generous portion, so much so that I couldn't even finish it all and ended up taking almost half of it home. The chicken came along with a small cup of brown rice. The quality of the food, especially the chicken, was excellent. The chicken was white meat, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It also had a bit of heat (spiciness) to it, more so than any other orange chicken I can ever remember having. The rice was pretty much your typical brown rice, but was a nice side to enjoy between bites of the chicken. All in all I was very impressed by the taste of food itself, the amount of it, the very reasonable price for what you get, and the nice service. Fine Asian is certainly a place worth checking into."
"What a wonderful little community restaurant. We don't think of them often but when we want Chinese food, this is our go to. It's always yummy and isn't ridiculously priced."
"I haven't been to a buffet like this in years. It's kind of exactly what you'd expect. Groups of all ages coming to get an easy meal for all the picky eaters and children piling their plates high.I liked the variety of dishes to choose from. The peppered squid was a test outside what I'd normally trust at a buffet. Unfortunately, it was a bit crunchy from being dried out under heat lamps. Some of the thicker tentacles were gummy and delicious.I'd probably go back to try other dishes."
"Good place we hope to often. Fast service and food is decent. Ample parking with a Walmart, golden chick, and Braums in the same center"
"My coworker and I have slowly become regulars at Xiaoling's because of the solid service and great food. The lunch specials are very reasonable for a huge amount of food. We absolutely love the noodle soup and I think of it often, but my favorite is the soup dumplings. The restaurant is quaint, clean, and built for fast service. Give it a try over your lunch break!"
"Very clean, high quality food. There's a good variety of traditional Chinese selections"
"Fantastic addition to the plaza in Carrollton. Having access to both solid Taiwanese food and desserts in the area is a big plus. If you're missing those flavors from Taiwan, this is a good place to satisfy some of those cravings. The fried porkchops are delicious and portions are generous. Entrees are reasonably priced and I have yet to leave this place hungry. Fried Pork Chop with Rice - The quintessential Taiwanese plate of comfort food. The pork chop is crispy and completely delicious. Reasonably salted and accompanied by a hard boiled egg. Don't mind the broccoli... I consider it more a decoration to add some color to the dish, but you can also tell yourself its there to make it seem like you're eating healthy. We all know who the real star of the dish is. The pork chop is fantastic and goes well with the steamed rice that has a bit of the braised minced pork and drippings on it as well for flavor. Braised Minced Pork Rice - This fatty pork dish is another Taiwanese favorite. The pork and fat melts into the rice. The medley of fat and carbs is a party in the mouth. This dish just straight takes me to my happy place. The egg and bok choy are welcomed addition to changeup the flavors of the pork and rice when you need a bit of distraction.Crispy Garlic Fish Fillet - The fish here has a strong and salty garlic flavor to it. Filets are well fried while still tender. Strong flavor profile and absolutely delicious. Mung Bean Smoothie - This drink is thick and delicious for those that enjoy sweetened mung beans. A great dessert or compliment to any meal for the masochist that wants to burst their stomach, albeit it would be worth the pain. Taro Ball Desserts - All the taro ball desserts with mochi like rice cakes are fantastic. Not overly sweet at all. The taro ball series are fantastic and if you like the coconut like flavors, the E-1 taro series dessert is fantastic. Overall, the service here was some of the best I've had. Staff has been very helpful and courteous. Food is great if you enjoy Taiwanese comfort foods. Be sure to go ahead and order a dessert to round out your meals when you order an entree because they give you a $2 discount on the dessert from section A-E on their menu."
"Had a great time and enjoyed the food. Patrick was our server and definitely took great care of me and my friend. The ambiance was awesome with a secret door to the speakeasy."
"Food was average, but I will go back and try more than appetizers to make a final decision.Hot and Sour Soup was good. It was very vinegar based in my opinion. Not a bad thing as I liked the flavor. I wish it would have had a little spice to it. I could eat it again, but I have definitely had better. 3.5 STARS Crab Rangoon was a little over fried for me. It was just a bit too crunchy for my liking. The center was soft and cheesy which helped it.I would not order these again. 3 STARS Service was good and the staff were pleasant.Ambiance it's a cute and simple restaurant. I love the art and lighting fixtures. It felt cozy and comfortable. Overall it was a good visit. I want to explore the entree's so I will go back to see if I can give them a better rating."
"This place is so good. I was looking for a good Chinese restaurant by my house and this one won! It's cheap too! The chicken is good, the rice is good. I'm about to try their noodles next. I will go back and they were quick when I ordered online."
"Really great people working the counter. Food quality is actually impressive for a set up like this. Think Panda Express-but mom and pop kind of place. I can actually taste the meats and not just drenched flour. Great portion for the cost. Will be back! It is in a hard corner to get to, so keep an eye out for the sign!"
"Food looked amazing, lacked in flavor. The fried rice was plain and bland, there weren't opinion or your usual veggies in the rice. The sauce on the garlic shrimp and chicken tasted like a very bland brown sauce. The sauce for the teriyaki chicken tasted like soy sauce."
"EXPERIENCE:I dropped by on a Saturday around 11:30am. Not busy just us and someone else with their child. The person was on FaceTime having a whole conversation the entire time we sat there to eat our lunch. They were very loud and so was the person they were talking to. Then someone from the kitchen sat with them to eat so it had to be someone close to the staff. Extremely rude to have a loud conversation while your customers are trying to enjoy their food. The dining room is spacious and nice but they bring your meal out in take out containers. They also give you plastic utensils. I wouldn't mind this so much if the broccoli/veggies were cooked longer. The broccoli was so hard my mom couldn't pick up the broccoli with the spork provided. Not only were they hard but they weren't cut so we couldn't scoop them up either because they were so big. You're better off getting your food to go and eating at home with your own utensils. FOOD:The portion sizes are great. I ordered from the all day combo special and it was enough for two. Drinks are canned/bottled and water is available too. No zero sugar soda available which was a bummer but at least they have water. I had the Hunan chicken. The flavor of the food was fantastic but the broccoli and bell pepper needed to be cooked more. And I usually like my broccoli to have crunch but they were barely steamed lolChicken broccoli had great flavor too. They do have a buffet option during the week but again you pick a container size and that's how you choose how much food you get. I think that may be the "From the bar" on the front of their menu. I will order again for take out/delivery but ask for my veggies to be cooked longer. I asked the cashier if they could do that and she said yes. I wouldn't dine in unless they have better utensils and plateware."
"Came here on a last minute dinner on a Monday. I was surprised how busy it was. Still didn't have. To wait but good for them on the busy Monday service. The sever was so nice and we asked her all the things to eat. Got a bit of all. We had to try the dumplings we were not disappointed in the food. Best was the green beans I must duplicate hehe The green tea gin drink was fantastic I might have had two. Can't wait to be back."
"My original plan was to come here with my family and I would pickup something else for me later as I am trying to stay low carb. That changed very quickly after I walked in. The first thing that stands out is the authenticity of this place it has the same kind of vibe that you might find in Hong Kong except that there is more space between the tables and it is quieter. The Mongolian Beef was very low carb (probably keto) if you request no rice (it comes on the side anyway). I asked for it very spicy and it was fantastic - it made my nose run a bit. Very, very tasty. My wife was hesitant to try the Orange Chicken as she has tried it in 3 different places that let her down. She decided to give it one more try and found what she had been looking for - very orangey with orange peels in the dish. Very well executed. The dumplings- both steamed and fried were met with applause- my wife expressed how happy she was that this place was here. She and my granddaughter daughter tried the Sam Sun dumplings (fried) and the Colorful Combo dumplings (steamed). At a table next to me a Mom was trying to convince her son to order some dumplings, but he was skeptical. I showed him our Colorful Combo and his eyes got wide and he decisively proclaimed "I want that!".The other thing I wanted to comment on was the outstanding staff. Very friendly and attentive. When my granddaughter got fidgety- she was supplied with some dumplings dough so she could practice making dumplings. We finished with some Jasmine tea - an excellent meal and a good time. This place is a hidden gem and one of the best Chinese restaurants around - and it is very affordable.Highly recommended."
"Cash only?? Who does that anymore? Supposedly they do it to keep costs down, and that they do, so who can complain about that? This is a traditional little hole in the wall with about 10 tables where actual Chinese people cook the food. You can see clear into the kitchen when you place you order and yup, there they are. The food is brought out to you hot, tasty and quick. They even make their own egg rolls. The small cup of soup is huge and the bowl of chicken soup is ginormous. I had the cashew chicken for under $4.00 with lots of nice plump cashews in it. The hubs had garlic chicken (not spicy) for a little over $4.00 and it was so flavorful I wish I had gotten it- I will next time. For three people we all had full meals, al a carte soup and one drink for $20.50 total. Take out boxes are .25 cents, but drink refills are free. I wouldn't go to this area after dark because the whole strip mall just looks a little scary. There was a panhandler outside with his dog but he didn't bother us when we went in or out of the restaurant."
"This is our go to place when we visit our kids in Carrollton! The food is prepared expertly! We're especially fond of the pork fried dumplings! Service is prompt and friendly! Casual dining...great take out!"
"If you're in the mood for authentic Chinese cuisine without the frills, this place is a must-visit. While the decor and ambiance may feel outdated, that's part of the charm for a restaurant that has been serving satisfied customers for 26 years. I've been coming here for a decade, and it's never disappointed. The star of the menu has to be the sinful pork belly--absolutely delightful and bursting with flavor. Despite the no-frills setup, the food quality keeps you coming back. A meal for two, including water, came to a very reasonable $32. If you're looking for an unpretentious spot with consistently good food, this is it. Highly recommended!"
"Good Chinese food & delivery. There is basically one Chinese restaurant that delivers to my house, so despite the reviews which suggest this isn't a good spot, I took a chance. I am glad I did! I ordered sweet and sour pork, egg drop soup, crab Rangoon and vegetable fried rice. Sweet and sour pork was great, exactly what you would expect, crunchy and pillowy soft. Comes with a large sweet and sour sauce on the side. The crab Rangoon was fantastic!!! So flavorful, definitely my favorite. The fried rice was okay, lots of veggies and egg, but lacked flavor. Despite this, I will order it again. It is passable. Lastly, the egg drop soup. It was thin, with lots of egg, definitely not salty in the least. Perhaps I am used to overly gelatinized egg drop soup that is bright yellow. This one clearly was home made, maybe a tad bland. I can appreciate that this food was fresh. I will order again."
