"I placed a take out order here on November 4, 2024 after competing in a Jiu Jitsu Tournament in Dallas. I was craving BBQ -- thanks to Yelp, I stumbled upon Smokey John's. It was about an hour to closing so the place was almost empty. But the staff here were still very attentive, professional and friendly. Popular menu items include: slow-cooked brisket, juicy ribs, house-made sausages, fried catfish, blackened tilapia, collard greens, candied sweet potatoes, and mac and cheese.I ordered " The Smoke Plate" brisket with collard greens and Mac n cheese. And they did NOT disappoint! When in Dallas, you have to stop by Smokey John's for some BBQ, you won't regret it!!"
"Oh my goodness y'all, this is REALLY good BBQ!!We often do Railhead or Ribbee's for ribs but this is actually better. Wuite a lot better. We had the chopped brisket sandwiches and the smoked Mac & cheese. The sandwiches were BIG (see pic) and the meat was actually chunks of brisket- not like so many others that are mush. Think Chick-fil-A nuggets compared to McNuggets. Great flavor & smoke. The Mac & cheese was pretty spicy & had something crunchy on top that added a bit of depth. We both really liked it - especially dipped in the BBQ sauce provided on each table. Only thing that could be improved on was the girl at the counter. Acted like she would've rather been anywhere else. Seems like a pretty good place to be as far as I can tell."

"Let me start by saying that I have been to this place 5 times since early March!!... today is April 2nd. (Yes, I know... I have terrible eating habits)That should say a lot tho!Bottom line... absolutely give them a visit! So why did I give four stars instead of five you ask? Good question.I deducted one star for inconsistent performance. Three of the five times that I've visited have been phenomenal. Whereas the other two times have, unfortunately, missed the mark rather substantially.-The first time I went :I ordered a half pound of pork ribs, and a small side of mac & cheese. I literally made it three blocks before the wafting scent of smoky rib deliciousness won and I had to pull the car over and just chow down in the 7-Eleven parking lot. (I will say that the mac & cheese was just OK but MY mac & cheese is amazing so everything else basically fades in comparison!)-The second time I ordered:the food was just as good and luckily I made it all the way home. However I did decide to pass on the mac & cheese.Third time:I went on my lunch break and it was everything that I wanted it to be.. it hit that greasy spot and it just made me glad to live AND work rather close to such an amazing barbecue place (it's a catch 22, really)This is where it gets tricky because for weeks I had been raving to my friends and family about this barbecue place; how amazing the barbecue, how it's fall-off-the-bone tender, etc. Alas, I finally had a friend to join me for lunch and of course we decide it best if we go to Blus barbecue and on this day not only were the ribs incredibly tough to the point that we were not able to eat them but they were also incredibly over seasoned and I mean heavy heavy heavy on the pepper. I apologized to my friend I told her heyit's not normally like this she understood because she had been hearing me rave about these ribs and me being the picky person that I am she knew that it must just be a one off.The fifth time that I went which is the pictures that you see below the meat was fall off the bone tender I even explain explain to the cashier that my last experience was definitely subpar he apologize and threw in a spare rib. But as you can see the ribs were definitely fall off the fall off the bone tinder however they were not seasoned well and they just didn't have that you know like it's almost as if they may have been boiled or some thing I'm not sure if maybe they changed cooks in the back I don't know but whoever was there in the back cooking at the beginning of March we need to bring that person back because the consistency is really what's throwing me off at this point. Now that I finish the ribs in the pictures below. Period.... AbsolutelyWill I be in just as quick of a hurry to go there again I don't think so because I'm just afraid to get disappointed at this particular junction... but it was fun while it lasted!!"
"I have to admit...never heard of Yao Fuzi until today and a bit hesitant at first but was very impressed. The food was excellent! Once I ordered one dish, I had to try another and another and another just to make sure. The food, prep and delivery all get 5 Stars from me. The service....meh. I may be different than most but when I do go out to eat (especially with friends). I like to enjoy my time and not feel rushed. Especially, if I am picking up the bill for more than $500 bucks for a party of four. Having made that statement. The ambience and decor was enjoyable and light. If I were to make a suggestion: I would market Yao Fuzi as its name suggests. "Asian Fusion". Overall, a very enjoyable experience and the food was delightful!"
"Watch out Addison Texas Postino Wine Bar is in the house! From the moment you walk in you feel like you are in someplace special. A nice energetic atmosphere, with a low lit romantic vibe. Our server "Tee" was pleasant and attentive and very welcoming. She helped us navigate the menu and make great selections. For tonight's fare I chose the Caprese Panini and a Cheddar Ale Soup, which was the Soup de Jour. Both were great! This all around was a really great experience, and if you are looking for a great place that lives up to high expectations, look no further!"
"Postino is my default Southlake spot. What's not to love? Especially if you love wine and tapas, two of my favorite things, and lucky for me the gluten free menu is robust. You can even get any of the bruschettas on gluten free bread, which is my preferred order. A bruschetta board allows you to choose 4 toppings, so you get 4 different pieces that are each chopped into 4 smaller bites. Perfect for sharing. My fave toppings are the goat cheese and pepper jam, the brie/apple/fig, the salami and pesto, and the mushroom and mascarpone. And there are so many others! Then the wine list is great ($6 glasses until 5pm) and they also have a fun cocktail menu. Full bar. Lots of seating."
"I cannot complain one bit about this place. the food is Outstanding. The service is to match, its GREAT eating for 2 days! they give you too much food. And the ambiance.. top notch!!!"
"This place is out of this world! I had never tried traditional African food before but I really wanted to so I asked my friend who was born in Ghana where I should go and let me tell you, he steered me right! I enjoyed every bit of it. The Fufu was delicious, I got the egusi stew with goat. Solid choice although I think I might go with a different meat next time (or no meat since I'm trying to go vegetarian ugh), the Soyu was very spicy and tasty and of course you can't go wrong with fried plantains! I am an adventurous eater but I was a little worried fufu might be too much for even me but nope! It was wonderful! My only recommendation is that you take some stomach meds before hand if you have a western palate because I was burnt up with the spices. 10/10 would do it again."
"Carne Asada Fries! NombreNi decir nada Mas!!!! Had the cheese and you can tast the Seasoned meat, with fresh Pico! Going back afterWork!!!"
"Update: This is still the best acai bowl I've ever had. Any time my husband or myself is anywhere near the Lakewood/White Rock area, we make a stop at Vida Bowls. It's now a ghost kitchen on the inside of a kids yogurt shop where you head towards the back and order at the window. I always stick to the classic vida bowl. I think my favorite part is the creamy peanut butter, it's the perfect load of protein."
"Holy smokes - this is some of the best BBQ I've had around Flower Mound / Denton County! You will see the passion that goes into this restaurant once you step inside, and chances are, the owners will swing by to say hi. Their menu boasts a wide range of smoked meats including affordable and delicious steaks from Thursday to Saturday nights. I enjoyed the brisket on the burger and on top of the Mac n Cheese as well. The sides were just as impressive as our entrees. This spot is not to miss if you're in the area."

I was visiting in town and had a craving for hot links. So I looked up this place and had my brother take me there for the first time. Well let me say the atmosphere was chilled and not over crowded. But the staff was super amazing! They greeted us when we arrived and explained how to order food. We both ordered the fried fish basket, it came with five pieces and fries. I got small greens and Mac&Cheese. Greens were good and same with Mac&Cheese. Also, I got the hot link basket with fries, to go, ordered with no salt. We had to wait about 15-20 on the fish basket and it was worth it. They came hot and seasoned very well. My brother was full and enjoyed it. I had sweet tea and peach cobbler for dessert, which I brought back to the motel for later. And to top it off, the Sons owner stopped over to thank us for coming and had a wonderful demeanor. I would definitely come back again, because the staff was constantly asking if we needed anything.

My parents had been ranting and raving about this place, so when we came to Fort Worth to visit we had to try it. Here's everything we ordered: - loaded papa with sausage: huge portion! Both mother in law and daughter ordered one. They liked it but didn't act overly enthusiastic- brisket burrito: my husband said he wished it didn't have cheese on it because it took away from the flavor of the meat- brisket elote cup: I ordered this. It was flavorful and the brisket was super moist. My only complaint is that it was quite overly salty - half baked potato salad: good and tasted very fresh. Could've used a tad more flavor- jalapeño sausage: needed more of a kick- spicy smoked Mac and cheese: not cheesy enough and not spicy at all - pork belly jalapeño popper: very good I would definitely come back here and try the other meats and sides. The food was solid and very interesting and creative. I love the Mexican twist on Texas barbecue. I just felt like the flavors were all a bit underwhelming - I would've preferred a bit more heat to the spicy items and less salt overall on the brisket. Cute place with great service though and while they don't have a kids menu they do accommodate with quesadillas and grilled cheese for kids who don't yet have a refined enough palate for delicious bbq. Oh and the portions are very generous!

Rode around Plano for awhile looking for a creditable place to have BBQ since I was only in town for a few days and really wanted Texas BBQ. First time in Texas so was lost on where to go to and what to get. Just so happened I took a chance based on a photo I saw and I was not disappointed.Ribs: I can't say anything bad about the ribs at all. They tasted just as good without sauce with sauce. Big A+++++ for me because I'm not big on some peoples sauces so that makes it worth it. However the sauce depending on the palate may be different it was a vinegar based which if not mistaken is Memphis style (don't kill me Texas if im wrong I'm just going on what I was told). The only down play was it was $45 for a 1/2 a rack which was a pretty big blow to me for pork ribs. If it was beef ribs I wouldn't have said anything but that was special I had just missed. Overall rating in my opinion would be a 8.5 for the ribs just because of the taste but the price just made those bites taste different. Peach Cobbler: I'm just going to say maybe it was because I got the last scoop of the pan and it was sitting there for awhile but that was not the peach cobbler I thought I was going to get. It tasted like something out of a grocery store freezer that was heated up which was disappointing since I really wanted something sweet after the amazing ribs. I will try again when I revisit so I don't want to deter anyone from the dessert but I will have to re-review this item so I'm not going to rate it. Presentation however it looked amazing...wished it had more peaches also...got maybe 2or 3 small cuts of peaches and the rest was crust. Jalapeño Mac and Cheese: So I've only had macaroni and cheese like this out of pigeon forge Tennessee which is in my other review but it was great I finished it first out of everything...really wished it was flattop seared which is how I had it before it just does something. However I would rate it a 8 must have. Brisket Wrapped Jalapeño Peppers: This was different all the way around for me. Loved every bit and loved the overall presentation. Definitely will be going back for those...$5 a piece which is not bad for everything in them. Rate these an 8 must have. Establishment: Great vibe!!! Manager and Bartender was attentive and came over to ask about the food. Locals was fun and was live. Sitting was little odd but wasn't terrible. Just never was a fan of people passing me while I was eating to order. My own bias opinion. I would rate the establishment a 9 just because it was exactly how I would want a BBQ place to look and feel. Prices: $85 for what I posted minus a banana pudding and pulled pork 1/4 pound. I find this to be a little pricey I'm not going to lie for the amount of food that was given. I don't live personally in a cheap area at home so it was okay for me but for someone who may not...it's not a bang for a buck kind of place but a definite must try.

Really wanted to like this restaurant but was underwhelmed. I had the Kung Pao chicken and my wife had beef with broccoli. My sweet and sour soup was pretty basic and my wife enjoyed her egg drop soup. Kung Pao chicken was okay but the fried rice was undercooked and not seasoned. My wife thought her beef with broccoli was very tender but a little spicy for her. Spring rolls were good. Service and ambience were good but I was disappointed in my meal.

Food is delish!!! I can eat here everyday.More than that, their selection of wines are on point!Service is Uber friendly but a little slow. I'd rather have good service over speed anywho.Checkout the unique decor... that's your sign to check them out!

Found this place on Yelp and it did not disappoint! Everything was great! Savannah, our server, was so helpful! The charcuterie boards were delicious (you can't go wrong with any of the choices). We decided to end the meal with the donut holes (think State Fair funnel cake but better). And it's such a cozy place too! Plenty of drink options (wine, beer, etc) for everyone. Can't wait to go back!

Never had African food before so we came here, We got fufu and rice both with beef. The guy at the register was very helpful with the food. The food came pretty fast and I thought it was a lot of food for the price. I loved the rice and it reminded me of Mexican rice. Egusi was very good and the Fufu was interesting. I'd definitely go again and try other African food.

"This is a wonderful comfort food/home cooking restaurant. All ingredients are fresh and cooked to order. Every bite is amazingly delicious. I Learned about the restaurant opening about a year ago but when I looked it up on Yelp, it appeared to be only catering. Not so! The restaurant is open Monday Through Friday from 8 to 6 and Saturday from 8 to 5 I believe. When we walked in we were greeted by Mama Gina and she really treated us like family. The shrimp and grits are the best I've ever had. I brought dessert home and haven't tried that yet but I'm excited to."
"Street bites is an eclectic catering company that features popular street food favorites from all around the globe. Perfect for someone like me who will eat anything from anywhere :-)They did a pop up at my place of work and their staff were very friendly and quick in getting out the food to the very long line.I ordered a bulgogi beef rice bowl, which is obviously the Korean representation on the menu board. They had very generous amounts of beef heaped over white rice and came with a crunchy side salad. The beef were cut more like chunks instead of the traditional thin slices, which I personally didn't care for, but that's a matter of choice. Unfortunately the beef was a little chewy as it had obviously been cooking a while, but it is understandable since they're not cooking to order on this occasion. The sauce was also a bit too sweet for my taste, teriyaki perhaps? Dunno. I'd have preferred some fiery gochujang, but that's just me.The side salad gave a bit of crunch, which was a big plus for me as it added that extra bit of texture. Overall it was a 3/5 for me.The chocolate chip bread pudding with vanilla sauce was absolutely wonderful. Very generous portion which can easily be shared between 4 people on diets or 2 who aren't."
"Daquari:A+++ I tried the peach and mango mixed together. The flavors blended perfectly together, the alcohol content was on point. The 16oz for $7 bucks definitely gave me a buzz. The 3pc HH wing combo: C-They serve wing sections, so in my opinion they may want to reconsider the amount they provide due to the size. The meal came with 3 flats and an order of fries. For $6 bucks I felt the portions sizes were small. Especially since you're only receiving 3 undersized wings, they could've gave more fries to accommodate. However I will say the flavor on the wings (lemon pepper) was OUTSTANDING!!! I would definitely recommend that flavor. Would I visit this establishment again. Yes, but only for the daquari, not the food."
"So happy to see that Cita's now has a storefront. All of their salsas, fresh juices, tamales, and meals (individual and family sized) are available. When I visited they had a variety including turkey meatloaf and pork with rice and black beans. Everything is so good. I have been a fan of their Garden Green salsa for several years. I even gave it out to friends at Christmas. It is AMAZING, good with chips, as a mix in with rice and beans and I even use it as a low calorie, low fat, low carb salad dressing. Until recently I could only find it at the local farmer's markets, Central Market and at The Green Spot on Buckner. After visiting the store, I realize they have more to offer than just salsa. The only criticism is that my daughter wanted more salt on the tortilla chips. We will be back!!!!"
"Fun place to go for breakfast. Authentic and home cooked. Interesting old world ambience. Warning serious coffee drinkers -- If you like coffee with breakfast, bring your own because all they offer is Turkish coffee, a very strong sludgy bitter drink. There is no milk or cream to dilute it. Just sugar! ugh. The cup is so tiny no room to add water. This is a very strong, very small cup of coffee at 3.50 a pop. My breakfast would have been stellar if I had brought a travel mug of my own fresh brewed coffee with cream! I doubt they would mind so long as you ordered the food from the menu and left a tip. Otherwise, I highly recommend for a place off the beaten track. Go early if on the weekend because it gets very crowded."
"Miranda is what makes you a 5 star establishment. I broke my femur last July and she always helps me in and out of the store. Food is always great, but she takes your store to the next level. Makes great recommendations, very friendly and kind"
"The Bop Bop is located in the Revolving Kitchen & has delicious foods! I ordered pickup for lunch and my food was ready and warm. I love how the bowls have a variety of rice, noodles, meat and vegetables so it is a lot to eat, it was packed! I could even say it's two servings & it was very satisfying. I enjoyed the flavors and quality of their ingredients. They were so kind and gave me samples of their mandu for free, which I actually hoped for. I received a kind text message afterwards thanking me for my order. I'm definitely coming back to try their other foods!"
"I love their loaded potatoes!!! The best in OakCliff!! Quick take out process and awesome customer service. A bit small inside but great delicious food! Enjoy!!"
"Let's get this review going! This place has great service. For 7 meals for $45. They received a awesome tip for the service as well. Cheaper than snap-kitchen , plus already better service...... first day to be try it. I'll update this review after all meals have been eaten. About to add pictures too!"
"Hidden gem indeed! Check out her website for pictures of her delicious items. My hubby researched local places for our son's wedding reception we will be hosting at our home. He spoke to Cindy on the phone and then we had lunch at her place to try out some of her food. I forgot to take pictures of the food! Sorry!Had the chicken fried chicken with scalloped potatoes (they have 3 different cheeses in it) and my hubby had pork chops. He isn't a fan of them but Cindy's pork chops made him a lover of pork chops you don't need a knife to cut. The chicken was so delicious that I forgot to share with my hubby. Oopsie!Everything at Cindy's is cooked from scratch. We aren't going to have dessert catered for the reception but we wanted to try the peach cobbler anyway. It was fresh out of the oven and served with vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream. Amazingly delicious and not too sweet, but just right!Needless to say, I will update my review with photos of the food we will be having at the upcoming wedding reception is over because we will be serving Cindy Sue's Catering!By the way, they serve breakfast all day! A plus in my book!"
"I'll be honest with you I have not actually had occasionally go it was one of the spots that I definitely definitely definitely intended to a diet I rather get get something because it's out of a their mobile it's black owned by women that impressed me those two factors impress me very very much the food of the menu looks spectacular and of course I'm a yelper so I got to be a foodie but not just any foodie a foodie that appreciates good food. The last night of my trip to Plano at made plans with the owner but I called it's it's one of those where you look at the meeting and see where they are so you essentially have to drive to where they are and I had made arrangements to meet on my last evening there in Plano due to certain circumstances they were not able to make it and I did call and the only explain to me what happened which I really really appreciate it, however when I go back that's going to be one of the first spots I go to because I will be calling to see where they are before I get there"
"I wish I could give D Jackson 5 stars but the meal I received fell very short when it came to the sides. I ordered a two meat plate of brisket, ribs, potato salad and greens. Now I'm fully aware we can't always expect food to be cooked exactly the way we grew up on BUT they seriously need to change their potato salad recipe. Never have I had potato salad made out of frozen hashbrown diced potatoes, shredded carrots & whatever else was added. The potatoes were still hard which is a big no. Instead of cutting corners just get a big pot & boil down some nice russet potatoes. No shredded carrots & light on the relish. The greens also fell quite short. Although meat was added there was absolutely no meat flavor in the greens, which is ironic. Maybe the meat is added after the fact. I can't say exactly what else they needed but they were not it. I tried to doctor up the sides but instead just threw them away. However, on the other hand the meat was pretty decent - 7/10. I was looking for more moisture & a smokey flavor. The portion size was right on which I am glad of because that's the only part I was able to eat & enjoy once some BBQ sauce was poured on top. I really was hoping to rave about this place because of the hype of prior reviews but I honestly don't see myself returning. Hopefully my suggestions are taken into consideration."
"If there's one thing you take from this review, its that this place has amazing meats. Also keep in mind that this restaurant shares the same building as the panaderia. The bathroom is also tucked far in the back of the panaderia, so ask if you don't see it. Antonio is a one man show. He takes the order, makes the food, and serves it with a big smile. I ended up kTheir carnitas are some of the best Ive had. Crispy outside, juicy, tender, and full of pork flavor. Their carne asada is delicious, especially since they use ribeye. The beef itself is full of flavor. Their barbacoa is a great blend of moisture and structure. The pastor is legit, especially with the strip of pineapple in each taco. Probably the only improvement I could see is if it had more of a char. Even the chicken in the flautas was delicious. The flautas themselves were crispy crunchy, loaded with corn oil. The crema and veggies on top felt so fresh digging into them. I especially loved topping this with salsa verde. Their pina aqua is quite delicious. It had a bold, pineapple taste with the right amount of sugar. Im quite excited that this place exists so close to my home. Ive been bringing all my friends to this place, in hopes that they can enjoy the magic that happens here!"
"I've been here several times now, but beforehand I had never had a firehouse subs before. I think it's one of the better sub shop chains out there. Not the best, but definitely up there! My only complaint about this location is that there are only like 3-4 tables to sit at on the inside. It's very small! Good subs though."
"Love this newly discovered healthy bowl option- right around the corner from me! Small menu, but all we tried were delicious."
"Wowwww riquísimo. Probamos salpicón, camarones al ajillo, paella, empanada gallega y un carpaccio fenomenal. 100% recomendado. Wow amazing. We tried salpicón, garlic shrimp, paella, empanada gallega and beef carpaccio. 100% recommend them."
"The best lil home cooking restaurant in the great town of Pleasant Grove. Love this place"
"I'm amazed that I'm the first one to review Big Box. I can't say enough nice things about the food. I have tried every single thing on the menu due to being fortunate enough to get to a tasting. All the meats are up there on my BBQ meter with the pulled pork rated the best. The veggy sides are breaking new ground on catering. I have to provide lunch for vegan and vegetarians frequently. Big box offers so many sides that it's easy to satisfy everyone. Brussel sprouts! Broccoli, vegan hash! Then to make more people happy, there are gluten free desserts! The delivery can be pricey but after having big box catered to three events, I can say that it was worth it to have happy people eating healthier. Thank you!"
