"This place never disappoints! Brought the in laws and they absolutely loved it! The food is greatly seasoned and the portions are very large so you get two meals for one price! Highly recommend Boo Rays!!!"
"Fantastic Food, but Stick to the MoonshineI had a great experience at Bucky Moonshine's! The food was absolutely delicious--hot, fresh, and perfectly complemented by their flavorful sauces. Everything on the plate was spot-on.Now, a tip for the drinks: save yourself the frustration and go straight for the moonshine. They have over 30 varieties to choose from, and it's their specialty for a reason. I tried the bottomless mimosas, but they were mostly orange juice, and the Bloody Mary, while packed with flavor, was missing that signature vodka kick.If you're looking for boozy cocktails, this might not be the place for you--unless you're ordering the moonshine. Overall, it's a spot worth visiting for the food and their standout moonshine selection!"
Served with rolls and your choice of vegetables. Positively the beat in Texas.

"We decided to grab some lunch before heading home after a Cowboys game, and we settled on Damian's.I wanted the smothered oxtails, but decided on fried ribs once I got to the serving area. They were AMAZING, and they gave us so much food.My husband got Salisbury steak, which wasn't his fave...but he really enjoyed the red beans and rice and mac and cheese. I got the ribs which were everyone's fave. They came with rice and brown gravy, and two side. The brown gravy tasted like the powdered mix to me, but you better believe I ate it...I didn't love the cabbage, it was a little bland, BUT, the collard greens were bomb!My pals got catfish and seemed to enjoy that as well, it was fresh and cooked to order. They also really loved the vanilla pound cake.Damian was up front with the crew serving, and by the patrons, it looks like it's a local fave. Was also really impressed with the lady at the register. She was helpful and service was top notch!"
"My wife and I visited The Free Man Cajun Bar and Lounge today, and we were blown away by the delicious food and welcoming atmosphere. We started with the Boudin Balls, which were sausage with rice, breaded, and fried to perfection. At $14.95, it was a great deal for such a tasty appetizer. For our main courses, my wife ordered the Hot Chick, a spicy fried chicken breast served with gravy over rice. It came with a side, so she opted for a salad. The dish was priced at $18.95 and was worth every penny. I tried the Crawfish Pasta, which featured crawdads in a rich, creamy sauce over pasta, topped with grilled or blackened chicken. At $28.95, it was a bit pricey, but the flavors were so amazing that I didn't mind.To drink, my wife had a sweet tea that was very southern-like, with a hint of lemon and a surprising berry taste. It was a refreshing complement to our meal. One thing to note is that a 20% gratuity is added to your bill, so be aware of that when dining here. Despite this, we highly recommend The Free Man for anyone looking for delicious Cajun food in a lively atmosphere."
"I had the opportunity to stop in here and watch the band desperado, which is a great Eagles cover band. I got a seat on the balcony right at the bar top. What a great view. no one to block your view of the band and you can overlook the crowd below the venue here is awesome I had a burger and two beers during the concert and the food was really good The beers were ice cold. What more do you want?"
"Believe the hype y'all! Aunt Irene's is the best Cajun/creole food spot in Dallas. I've been here multiple times and have never been disappointed. EVERYTHING is so good!! The flavors are bold, soulful & unique. If you love flavor, then you'll love it here!!!Besides food, it seems always busy but there's never a long crazy wait and the hospitality is always great. What I also love about Aunt Irene's is how vast & diverse their menu is. There is so much to choose from, and all of it is good!!! You must try it for yourself, if it sparks your interest."
"Really only giving 2 stars due to the friendliness from the front desk person. My order was for a pick up order. The fries were honestly indelible. I picked it up myself and started eating it once I got in the car. With that being said it didn't make sense why the fries tasted so bad. They were lukewarm and had absolutely no flavor or texture. The shrimp po'boy was a huge disappointment & I felt like I was practically forcing myself to finish it, due to Joe hungry I was. It was bland & just overall not a good sandwich. Unfortunately I will not be back again."
"Wonderful food: oysters, red fish and chowder was amazing! Service was attentive and informative. Will visit again!"
"Now called Cajun Boil Stop, it is still our most favorite place to have boiled shrimp, new potatoes, corn on the cob in a mild sauce along which is delicious for dipping! We add on french bread for extra dipping. I hope this place never goes out of business."
"Excellent meal and the service was wonderful. I ordered grilled shrimp fettuccine. The order came out very quick and was cooked perfectly. I didn't even have time to finish my $5 house margarita. The portions were good. I brought home a nice portion of my fettuccine, but ate all of the shrimp. The only negative point in the evening was the people waiting to be seated were standing right beside our table. There was no other place for them to stand."
"Looked up "crawfish dallas" and the second restaurant to show up was "The Crab Station Walnut Dallas" 4.4 stars so we decided to try it out on Friday night 2/16. I was already hesitant since it was a Friday night and I don't like waiting but I really wanted crawfish. To my surprise NO wait .. which to be honest had me a little more hesitant on how good the crawfish was going to be. We ordered 6 garlic parm wings that were very well cooked and seasoned. We started off with one pound of live crawfish (for $16, frozen were $9) and they were definitely worth going for! we also added sausage, corn and boiled eggs. we decided to try one pound of frozen to compare the two, the frozen were good but of course not as good and flavorful as the fresh pound but definitely not worth turning down. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which was also so good i had to order a water so i wouldn't find the lemonade before the food came. Oh and we also ordered Fries!! SO good, hot/fresh and flavorful, fries are my favorite and these DID NOT Disappoint. I don't remember our waiters name (he wore glasses) he was very attentive (which i always appreciate), talked to us about crawfish season and made sure we were taken care of. GREAT service, we plan to visit again to try the lobster roll."
"Great spot to celebrate a special occasion or just to enjoy a nice meal. The menu changes with what is in season. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The overall atmosphere is nice and inviting, fancy but not intimidating. Will definitely be going to to try more dishes."

Best Crawfish Étouffée I've found in quite some time. Generous amount of crawfish and spice level is just right for me. It has a bit of a kick, but not over the top. The dirty rice it's served on is also very good. Service was excellent as well.

I've had this restaurant bookmarked for a lil while and was hungry one day so I figured why not try Damian's.Damian's get a good hard 3 stars. The service was speedy just like I like it.Food here is good. The fish here has some sort of specialty seasoning on it which is tasty and is a decent size. After awhile the seasoning became a little overwhelming, but overall it was good. The fries were basic with the same type of seasoning on it as the fish. The fries didn't taste like they were freshly cut, but still good. The greens had a delicious flavor to them. However, they were overcooked. Overall, I'd actually visit Damian's again for the fast service and fish that was hot, freshly fried, and was decently priced.

Whenever I'm downtown this always the #1 spot to eat good food, listen to some Spoken Word, Music, dancing, and overall great vibes. Mary was our server and she was the sweetest, also had some nice vocals on her as well. She got up on stage and shared some musical flows with us (the crowd) and customers. There's a $10 cover charge so please be aware. Always a vibe and big radiant energy when I'm here. Lastly, our Cajun wings (can't order all flats) but I did ask for extra crispy and they were succulent wings. We loved them...our fries were nice and crispy too. I've never had a bad food order or dining experience here. Glad this spot was introduced to me almost four years ago today. Still one of my Favs. 10/10

We had a great time listening to Emerald City Band celebrate their 40th anniversary! We had prime seats just inside with views of the stage, perfect to listen and see without being overwhelmed. We ordered Mac n Cheese balls, nachos, and pizza and they were great. The pizza could've been cooked a lot more as the center was soggy but it was still good. Would def go back!

THIS PLACE IS STRAIGHT UP SINFUL!I did not get a single picture of my food, because I was starving. I ordered enough of food for 4 people and ate in my car, so that didn't leave much room for picture taking. The area is a bit sketch, I won't lie. LOL. But I wouldn't say I felt unsafe. Ordering was a bit confusing, because everything is such fast pace and it doesn't make you feel comfortable asking questions looking like the amateur who doesn't know how to order. So, I kinda hung out by the window while trying to figure out what to order and finally someone gave me some direction. Whew! I placed my ordered and waited about 20 minutes to experience the magic. The food was nothing to play with. I ordered the fried corn, fried catfish, fried shrimp, crack cookies, and bread. When I tell you I put that food DOWN, I am not playing. Every single piece of everything was fried to perfection and seasoned with immense love. And then politely put me to sleep for 3 hours! My only complaint about this place is: 1) you can't dine in, 2) there was only canned soda for drinks. I'd assume a place like this would at least have some type of house made punch, 3) the cookies were a bit hard...and $10. And, 4) there wasn't many smaller portion options. I wanted fried shrimp too, but they only came in an order of 15. So guess what I did? Ordered AND ate 15. LMAO. But that was just plain greedy. I wish there would have been like a 5 piece option or something.Other than those few things, I 10/10 recommend eating here. It will be on my list every time I am in the area!

This was our first time at Po' Melvin's. The restaurant itself gives cozy small town dive bar vibes. The staff was very friendly and our server was happy to recommend his favorite dishes. He even brought a sauce he knew would taste good with the fried shrimp Po Boy. The fries, bread and butter, and seafood gumbo were amazing! Overall, I am excited to come back and try more dishes.

We tried this seafood eatery in the Rockwall town square. The aroma outside the restaurant was the first nice thing about it. The ambiance was simple, but the staff welcomed us and service was great. We shared the crab stuffed mushroom app. Delicious with two large shrooms, but for the price three would've been nice. I had the grilled fish tacos. These were delicious, well stuffed with fish and slaw and a couple of avocado slices and rice on the side. I was full and well pleased with the flavors. They have pricier seafood entrees of good variety including oysters, grouper and many others. I'll be back.

"Come for the vibes and the vibes ALONE! It's very much a day party atmosphere in a restaurant setting. You'll likely wait forever for a table and then another extended period of time for your food. Barely any self parking, valet is $15."
"It's been a while since I've visited this original Flying Fish location. As I walked in I was reminded about how excited I was to find this place almost 20 years ago. The eclectic decor and authentic Gulf Coast fish shack vibe "Hooked "me.Shannon Wynne definitely knows how to do restaurants and Flying Fish is a great example. Cutting no corners on food ingredients or preparation, he "feeds" the public like he wants to be fed. Attention to detail in every inch of the place from the door to, the helpful counter staff, to the always delicious meal.Today's fried catfish and gulf shrimp were no exception. If you haven't been its definitely time to...Go!"
"Flavor smacks time after time! I've lived in Dallas for 5 years and eaten at HELLA boil spots.... hands down, BEST IN TOWN! There are a couple close contenders, but for consistently Husain, fast service, clean tables, no frills, tons of beer and juicy crab legs..... Rockin' Crab all day!"
"Once again, always: FUN ambiance! Great food! Always discovering a new dessert after our fish entrees. So, so, so, so, so good and fun. It is definitely a FOOD PARTY! I am very stuffed, again :) Love the staff as well: FUN! Helpful. This time, a frequent favorite: cod fish and chips for my wife; and, grilled salmon for me. The fish and the sides are all wonderful. Dessert this time: KEYLIME PIE! Fabulous flavor, a well made pie and great limey flavors."
"My friends and I had a wonderful get together at this Crab Station location. The menus were accessible and clearly labeled with pricing, however they need to specify that it's that seafood item $ by the lb, otherwise newer customers who have never been to a seafood boil restaurant would have no idea what they're getting into. Overall the place was decorated well and visually appealing. Lighting was adequate and overall ambiance was fun/comfortable and casual. There was only a couple workers on the floor but they were sure scrambling as more and more customers came streaming in. Thankfully we didn't have too big of an issue with staffing, but there were times during our evening where we were just waiting on the waitress to come back. Generally, our drinks were replenished on time and when we did have any issues (one of my friend's seafood sack came out lukewarm), it was addressed quickly by staff. The food itself was delicious. The shrimp and crawfish was plump and easy to peel. Seasoning was great and the spice level was much spicer than advertised on the menu!"
"Ambiance was good. The food was ok at best. The service was really good. The sauce juicy sauce tasted as if it was missing something that could have brought all the flavors together. It was well price for the amount of food we received. Only complaint I really have is the sauce. It needs work."
"Service was good. Food didn't taste good (Bland, even though I got the spicy one). Ambiance was good. Conclusion, will not be back for seafood boil."
"1) Boiled Crawfish looked a promising bright red. Pull the tail from the body. Shuck the shell of the tail off to get to the fibrous meat flavoured with piquant, aromatic Cajun-Créole boil mix. A section of corn on the cob & red new potatoes as accompaniments. I like eating the yellowish-brown "butter" from the head, but found it for the most part tasted stale. Perhaps the crawfish was frozen which is detrimental to the delicate crawfish butter. Or the Boiled Crawfish had been cooked earlier and had been reheated hours if not a day later which allows the butter to lose its freshness. Anyway, it didn't have the superior flavour of what can be found in New Orleans or West Feliciana Parish. 2) 1/2 Crawfish Étouffée , 1/2 Fried Crawfish: Excellent, fried, sweet, fibrous crawfish tails covered with what may be corn starch created an Italian fritti like lightness & subtle crispiness. French fries were equally well finished. Must eat them soon to retain that exemplary just fried liveliness. Étouffée sauce has a buttery, golden reddish, brown tone. Smoothness comes from the toasted, brown roux. May be red mostly from tomato sauce. Just a touch of Cajun-Créole spice blend. If there were any Cajun-Créole Mirepoix of onions, celery, bell pepper, it was finely food processed. Soupçon of chicken broth to round out and give Umami to the thickened sauce. This version has flavours which are understated & subtle, but can be considered bland by some. Rice acts as a barrier between the fried items from the Étouffée sauce. Small, toasted white french bread to sop up the sauce. The Cole Slaw was sweetened vinegar based with pronounced herbal french thyme, mixture of cabbage and what may be red bell pepper which was supposed to be a palate cleanser between bites of the Étouffée. Problem was its extreme, hyper saltiness which negated its role in refreshing the palate. 1-2a) Abita Purple Haze Lager Raspberry Lager was thirst quenching and had a light fruitiness which was especially appropriate for some of the saltiness that was encountered. Service here is perfunctory. Not unfriendly, but disinterested. Passing the time and doing just enough to get by. There wasn't any "Laissez les bons temps rouler." joie de vivre at Charlie's Créole Kitchen. The food has its ups and downs. 3- stars for mediocre food & service."
"Music was really good we went last night Tuesday 10/08/2024 for the live band. Food was excellent I got the catfish & shrimp basket with 4 wings. Some of the best catfish I have had in dfw!! Highly recommend. Its a old school chill juke joint type of vibe."
"This place is always a vibe!! My daughter and I always love it. We always treated with respect and it's always a VIBE in here!! The food is THE BOMB!! Makes me feel like I'm back home in Shreveport!! Definitely a place I come when I'm homesick!"
"Good ol T. T. Went in just for some turkey necks, eggs and sausage. Inexpensive and convenient. Quick service and also friendly. First time at this particular location but it didn't miss a beat to any of the other locations from the past."
"Hubby & I LOVE this place. When we head to the Chinese Supermarket in Carrollton, we always plan our shopping trip around stopping in here for some cajun inspired seafood delights. First of all they have beer on ice & that's always nice! haha. We love that this is a "Quick serve/Self serve" Cajun seafood place that has amazing food & is a great value. It's a very casual hole in the wall kinda place in a strip mall, just like you would find in a small town in French Louisiana somewhere. OuiOui. The seafood is always cooked perfectly & the coleslaw is amazing. We love the coleslaw & fries here. Love that they add purple onion to the po'boys. Not on authentic NOLA bread but very very good french bread. Will Return. Highly Recommend."
"My uncle & I went to try this place today & I have to say it was amazing from the decor, the drink menu, & the food, FABULOUS! It was like walking into a place on bourbon st. All the decor, the music was great but not so loud that you couldn't enjoy the company you were with. We did have to stand to be seated for a while even though there were only 4 other tables , however, 1 was a big group and there were only 2 servers so they did do a pretty good job. I ordered the red beans & rice with blacked shrimp & sausage spicy, while my uncle went for the crawfish étouffée regular. We also ordered hush puppies. The hush puppies were so crispy on the outside with the most delicious flavor & moist , not too thick on the inside. They came with a sauce that was good but I preferred them without the sauce. My dish red beans & rice , was absolutely perfect. The shrimp were perfectly cooked & seasoned, the sausage was excellent. The beans were seasoned to perfection, the only thing is I didn't get any hint of spice so I wonder what the regular tastes like? My uncle's étouffée was a dance recital in my mouth. The roux, the crawfish, the veggies, all dancing around as if to win a competition that it had already won. I will definitely be getting that next time. If you guys have not tried this place you must. They have hurricanes & fish bowl drinks to boot. They are closed on Mondays so don't go the & be disappointed! Just go then Yelp about what you think!!"
"Would give it 5 stars if the food was seasoned. Everything was freshly fried but nothing was seasoned. You fix that and it's an amazing place to get seafood"
"Oh wow! This hit every spot The Ceviche Tostada was delicious. I waited a bit for the Mix Soup but when it came out, it was steaming hot. It was so yummy and was all gone. My date ordered the Shrimp & Sausage Boil, he enjoyed his food as well. There wasn't much of a wait on a Monday Night. Weekends are much busier. You should try it out!!"
"Out-of-towners, this is close to where we are staying. Found the place and it looks like a dive bar.Walked in and it looks like a dive bar.Ordered the shrimp and crawfish fried rice and a beer, and damn it the spot. Lots of shrimp and crawfish, good flavor, and a decent sized portion.Raul served us on Friday and again on Saturday night when we decided to return. My dad got the beans and rice and loved it, couldn't finish his portion. I enjoyed the Cajun pasta, again, a healthy amount of shrimp and a nice kick to it.Raul was quick to serve us and we got meals quickly. Personable guy too. Enjoyed the experience."
"The place is always clean and customer service was amazing. The food came out fast. Please order the house special, it is so good. If you are in this area, please try."
"How does this place have anything less than 4 or 5 stars. My experience was superb. My food and service were both great. It's for sure not a fancy place. Which leads me to my next deiscussiom. I'm kind of conflicted because place has a serious sports bar vibe. Yet their food says otherwise. I'm not mad or anything, but maybe that explains the rating. Don't let that shy you away from the food.So I had to ask the waitress, what's the deal. What makes people wanna give them bad reviews. And it all makes sense. They are so cool they pack out the place during events and etc. From my experience, trying to please party people can get tricky and intense"
"Our food was fresh and delicious! I wish we had time to try more! It's not a fancy place. No table service, but good atmosphere; clean and neat. The young lady at the counter was nice qnd helpful. And once qgain, the food was really good!"
"I was at the doctor, and decided to get something to eat. This place didn't disappoint it was very unique, very much a hole in the wall. I ordered the brisket, mac and cheese and greens burrito. The place is small but luckily they have one table because that thing was not making it home, it looked and smelled amazing and was it good. I am definitely coming back to try more variations on the burritos and all the other food. I haven't made recommendations on yelp in a while, because I haven't been this impressed in quite a while. After covid so much stuff was expensive and mediocre not bruchaholics. Thanks for amazing food. The service was super friendly and very fast."
"FINALLY SOMEONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO FRY CATFISH!! I moved to Mesquite recently and I've been on the hunt for decent fried catfish in the area. And by decent, I mean the way my Uncle fries it... crispy, not greasy, not fishy, and with CORN MEAL. Some of yall actually have the audacity to come to Texas and fry fish in flour.. SMDH.I was greeted by ALL of the staff and felt very welcomed and appreciated. All of my questions were answered and everyone was friendly. You can tell they've spent time and effort not only in perfecting their menu, but also in creating a beautiful and comfortable dining area. It was very clean and there was no "fried food" aroma in the air. Classy! You don't realize how impressive this is until you go to similar restaurants and leave smelling like fried chicken. Now, the food: Boudin Balls - Crispy on the outside. Great flavor. Catfish Nugget Basket w/ Jambalaya: Fish was fried to perfection, no fishy taste, and not greasy. Seasoned. Jambalaya was different from what I'm used to, but it was still good. Nice flavor with decent amount of shrimp and sausage tossed in. The basket also came with a corn cob which was surprisingly seasoned very well with some kind of Cajun magic. I don't even like corn, but I ate it.Hot Honey Lemon Pepper Wings- So I'm not a fan of wet wings or buffalo sauce but I tried them anyway bc they were recommended. They were delicious and seasoned well. The sauce was a perfect spicy/sweet balance and they were cooked just right. I'll be trying the dry lemon pepper wings on my next visit. Fried Okra- Best fried okra I've had in a very long time. Ask them to fry it hard. Delicious!Shrimp- Basic fried shrimp. But it was fresh and good sized pieces. Fries- Basic crinkled fries, but not greasy and cooked perfectly. I would've loved to have a dash of cajun magic on em. Maybe I need to request it next time. And they had HUSHPUPPIES!!! Yes Lawd! I'm so tired of these fish places putting "light bread" in my basket!! Thanks for being true to the game! No dessert or Daiquiri this visit but they looked delicious! They have a variety of cakes: Lemon, German Choc, Red Velvet, etc. They also offer peach cobbler. I saw numerous daiquiri flavors as well. I'll try those when I go back for the lemon pepper wings. The nice lady who prepared my order took the time to show me each of my food items before she bagged it up. I love that kind of service! She was very sweet and chatted with me. Mardi Gras Cajun Cuisine-Mesquite has earned my business. I will definitely be returning and bringing my family and friends to enjoy this local gem. Thank you! Great job! Keep it up!"
"First of all Ms.Keisha was a doll! My Virgo sister!!I drove all the way from Fort Worth for this food, and didn't even make it out the parking lot with any of it! Everything was hot and delicious! Highly recommended!"
