DeQuilla H. "These guys literally have it allllllll.... Shrimp/Tuna/Chicken Sandwiches, Cakes: Mocha, Tiramisu, Vsnilla, Mozart Chocolate, Red Velvet, Oreo Fresh Cream, Stawberry Shortcake, Macaroons: in all da flavas and they'll even do a macaroon gift box! Cheesecake: Yogurt, Oreo, Tarts, and Mousses: Strawberry, Mango, Raspberry Mango, Blueberry Cream. The dry section has even more goodies... melon bread, chocolate bread, meat filled bread, and just all the breads, muffins, more cakes like pound and sponge varieties, almond tuile, rolls, cookies, croissants...What I keep getting? A large peach pineapple smoothie *drools* and I recently cheated on my diet and got a sausage croquette. Pretty sure they sprinkle this amazing dust on top with a nice scribble of ketchup on top. It's really really really good! The muffins I believe were regular sponge and when I say they were magnificent. Super moist and buttery, awesome snack! Milk Tea was good. If you prefer sweet boba and good flavored milk, you'd like this. I like them both sweet but this was still very smooth and I'd order again (if I can stop with the smoothies)!Only thing I was not a fan of is the cheesecake. Definitely needs some work. It was extremely crumbly from the filling to the crust and just lacked a good general cheesecake flavor."

The dalgona pieces on top of the drink added a nice texture and flavor to the drink. Service was friendly and fast. I look forward to doing some remote work here during the week."

Jen T. "One of my favorite desserts...the egg tart aka egg custard! I typically fulfill my cravings for those delicious egg tarts while eating dim sum or from a bakery that sells other items. I was so happy to find a place that made egg tarts in abundance!!! Moreover, they taste sooooo good...the best of the best. I stepped into the store anticipating a display of the egg tarts. Everything was in the kitchen, so you probably wouldn't know what they sell unless you did a little research or noticed their handwritten sign. Here are some tips to know beforehand:*Order ahead: I ordered a dozen egg custards on the fly. Little did I know we were supposed to call ahead of time. The owner was super nice to accommodate us. They make the egg custards fresh, and the goodies were still warm in the box.*Bring cash: Make sure to bring cash. They are not taking large $100 or $50 bills.Once our order was ready, the owner gave us a free raisin sponge bread. We were very appreciative of this nice gesture. I wish this place was closer to home. These custards would be a big hit for any holiday party! Go support this mom and pop shop."

She made a hard job look effortlessly easy!Everyone in our party ordered something different and we all agreed that our food was prepared with a lot of fresh ingredients. Not a lot of places can still own that because things are often preheated and the re-heated, etc. It was clear that everything ordered for our table was made to order.I personally ordered the Rustic Nicoise Steak Salad which is described on the menu as 'Mixed Greens with a Poached Egg, Red Potatoes, Haricot Vert, Cherry Tomatoes, Olives, and Avocado paired with a Light Herb Vinaigrette.' Really great make up of a light (and very filling) salad. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The restaurant itself had a laid back community feel -- nothing too fancy or uptight. These guys also sell whole cakes in different flavors, shapes, and sizes.Support local small businesses y'all!"

This quaint little bakery is conveniently located in downtown Carrollton. The woman at the counter was very friendly. It's tiny so there's not much room to sit down and eat the treats but they have a wide variety of Madeleines. They also serve coffe and tea. I love the stuffed Madeleines. I also got the matcha Madeleine. It hadthis yummy coating on it...delectable;) Where else can you get a matcha Madeleine?? They are on the pricey side but so is everything else these days. Don't let that impede you from stopping by. It's such a cute concept and I'm sure there's a flavor for everyone here."

Kesha H. "This place is not closed. Maybe someone out it on here to keep this hidden gem hidden...lol Hands down these are the best breakfast tacos in Dallas. At $2.20per taco no matter which one you get, you can't go wrong. I've had the steak and potatoes, picadillo, bacon with eggs, and chorizo with eggs and they are all good and they have plenty others to choose from. The steak are my favorite though. The sauce they provide goes well with all the tacos. It's setup like a hot plate so you walk to the counter and tell the ladies what you want and they assemble the taco right in front of you. They also Mexican sweet breads at the pay counter. Everytime I've been there are 3 ladies working and they are all very nice. One lady doesn't speak English that well but if you just point to what you want she has never gotten my order confused. If you're ever in the area before 12pm I advise you stop and give this place a try. It's very hard to find because it doesn't sit directly on the main street and in the mornings there are always big trucks in the lot so you can barely see it."

We also love their chicken Caesar salad and all of their pastries. Breakfast is so delicious and their coffee is hot fresh and pleasant. If they run out, no worries they always have a back up freshly brewed and ready to go. We enjoy the outdoors patio on sunny days and crisp fall weather too. Being right next to SMU campus is the cherry on top! The way they run this business is very well thought out. The staff is well synchronized and things flow smoothly. Bret C. "The influx of immigrants from Central America has graced us with El Salvadorian, Honduran and Guatemalan restaurants. This delightful eatery is, obviously, one of the latter.Service is cafeteria style and none of the servers in the line the morning I was there spoke English. That wasn't an issue as I could order pollo en mole y dos tamales in my awful Spanish. The problem when she asked "here or to go". Thankfully a guy in line next to me helped me out.The chicken was tender and mole sweet, spicy and delicious. The black beans were savory and the rice was fluffy. The tamales were a Guatemalan version and they were fantastic. I can't recall the cost of my giant horchata, but it was reasonably priced and paired well with my meal.Seating is spartan, but this not a place you to dine. This is a place you go to eat delicious food at a reasonable price. There is a on the left side as you enter with the bakery and various items like Guatemalan soda and snacks.I think I was the only non-Hispanic in there and that is wrong. The eggs weren't cooked with seasoning so maybe it didn't taste that great to her. Also got a Bracelet Mimosa that comes with a nice bracelet, it reminded me of when I went to Guatemala. Entree #1 was ordered by my father--the salmon lunch special that came with a tasty mix of asparagus, mushrooms, and zucchini, a fantastic potato cake, and an arugula side salad. My mother ordered the pork schnitzel that came with a green salad and potatoes. I had the quiche Lorraine which was incredibly fluffy (not at all dense like the quiche I make at home) and a Caesar salad that had the great addition of chopped tomatoes. Even the iced tea (ginger peach) was special and delicious. I follow Lubella's on Instagram and I have to say that seem to be working hard to deliver an elevated experience at this unlikely intersection.
