Brentwood is reminiscent of the former Houston's restaurant, featuring dishes like crispy chicken tenders, grilled salmon, and baby-back ribs. While we appreciated the prompt and courteous service, the food quality and presentation leaves much to be desired. The ambience is low lit with art thoughtfully displayed. Their menu is priced like a high end steakhouse but the dishes don't deliver. The seating arrangement was terrible. Despite having a reservation, they sat six of us in a booth where their legs were cramped together.

We stopped by to enjoy a nice Sunday meal. The menu was very similar to Houston's, although it's not part of the Hillstone management company. The server was nice and explained the menu was similar due to people loving Houston's so they wanted to give customers what they desired. This restaurant is in the old Houston's building. I ordered the double pork chop entree. It was good but I felt the pork chop was a little salty. You never know how much salt you can put on pork sometimes. I'd go back to try something different.

We order togo for our office often. The food is always amazing. Packaged perfectly and have never left anything out. They have a limited menu for togo and not sure if they have togo utensils as they never include them. Love the crispy chicken cob salad and smoked salmon.

Service could have been much better- our waiter disappeared quite a bit leaving us with empty glasses for much of the night. The artichoke dip and cheesy toastie bread were melty, cheesy, savory and satisfying. After indulging in those appy's I thought I would try something a little lighter by ordering something from their sushi selection- meh, not a good choice- my crispy rice was so crispy it was hard to enjoy and the other roll I ordered was close to $22 or more- I believe the rice was $14 for three tiny pieces- both were too expensive for the lack of flavor and quantity- Unreasonably expensive so for the portions.A friend ordered the shrimp Louie and that looked beautiful- but a lot of lettuce underneath the beauty. Probably won't be back, but glad we tried- had an old fashioned restaurant vibe.

Service was top notch. You could see everyone was in there A game. Great ambiance for groups and couples alike. Was craving French dip so searched Yelp and found this. It's pricy at 29 bucks but it was good. Didn't like the artichokes in the spinach stuffing for the Rockefeller. Just personally like fresh artichokes not canned or oil cured. That's what I took off the 1 star for. Would go again if I was craving a French dip again.

We stopped by this place for a quick lunch while waiting in the area. Our meal began on a positive note with a French press coffee that was quite good. However, things took a turn for the worse with the rainbow roll. It had an off-putting smell and was simply inedible. The rice and fish seemed stale, with only the avocado appearing fresh. This experience severely diminished our appetite. We had also ordered the trout, which, to our surprise, was quite good. Unfortunately, we could barely enjoy it after the sushi mishap. The mashed potatoes accompanying the trout were not to my taste, but the broccoli was well-prepared.Our server was understanding and offered to replace the sushi, but by then, our appetite had already been ruined. Later, the manager approached us and offered anything from the menu to make amends. We hesitated but eventually decided to try the dessert, thinking it couldn't be worse. To our delight, the dessert was excellent, both in taste and portion size--it was the only dish we finished completely. The ambiance of the place is pleasant, and the staff are courteous. Despite their efforts, our overall experience was marred by the poor quality of the sushi.

Nice clean ambiance with comfortable booths. Very good food. The two of went for lunch. The French Dip is exceptional and I highly recommend it. The lunch special crab cakes were delicious. Love their slaw as well. Now the bad...service at lunch, again friendly but not good and not crowded. Long waits for a host to show, drinks, refills, and to run credit card. All fixable, but will they?? Maybe take out is the best option.

Great meal to be had! Their shrimp Louie was delicious and the fried had an amazing Cajun spice. Their shrimp hamburger was enormous and juicy! If ever back in this area I will definitely plan to come back. The wait staff was very pleasant and attentive.

We arrived at the restaurant the night of February 13 and had a very nice time. The dinner was delicious, the ambiance great, and the service wonderful. The only criticism was the wine list and price of the wine. I am a casual wine drinker but did not recognize any of the offerings on the list. That was OK because we chose a nice chardonnay and enjoyed it. The issue I have is that for the cost of $22 per glass what we received was about 1 inch of wine in a pretty good sized glass. For $44.00 I could buy 3 bottles of Kendall Jackson or Windham Hill and be just as happy.Suggest the restaurantwith change up the list a bit and get pricing more in line.

We went to Brentwood last night for my son's birthday. We told the waitress he was celebrating his birthday when we sat down. We ordered, ate, and finished eating. We all ordered another drink thinking my son would receive a birthday dessert with the ubiquitous candle. Nope, the waitress brought the check which was $360.00 for 5 people. I approached the waitress and asked if we could get a dessert for my son. She rudely responded, "It's not free, you have to pay for it." I responded, "I'll be happy to pay for it, the issue isn't money, we just want him to receive something special because it's his birthday." To which she stated, "But I've already given you the check." I was trying to be very polite, but her comments were beyond offensive. So, I took off my Mama hat and put my lawyer hat on. I asked to speak to the manager who begrudgingly agreed to serve a birthday dessert to my son. After the manager walked away, the server said, "Now I'm going to have to pay for it."I have never been treated so poorly by a restaurant staff member(s) in my entire life. I felt like a con person attempting to get a free dessert. I guess they forgot we were customers who just paid $360.00 for a meh meal. When I was in law school, I worked at Spaghetti Warehouse and we gave a small cake to the birthday guest, gratis. And Spaghetti Warehouse was certainly not a "high end" restaurant. We will NEVER EVER go back. Remember if you decide to celebrate your birthday here, which I strongly discourage, don't forget to order the birthday dessert BEFORE receiving your check so you can pay for the same!! Awful experience!!!
