My favorite place to disc golf! Such a wide variety of holes and a beautiful walk across the park!

After a 3 day winter ice storm, we were ready to get outside when the temperature reached 60°F. We had a great time walking around the park. It was nice that the park had a lot of paved roads because the snow/ice melting that day left the grass pretty muddy. The park was pretty clean for the most part. There were some debris/trash stuck in the creek and in the forest sadly!

Pretty nice large neigbhorhoold park near our friend's subdivision. Ample parking spots even when we went in the evenings. There's a big pound with a gazebo. There are nice trails around for running, cycling, walking or jogging. Been there twice so far and thank goodness, both times were not too crowded. Quite a few cyclists who rode too fast. Will be going back more when weather gets warmer.

I think it's a large and a pretty park - with a lot of paved trails that work well for bicyclists. Part of the park's scenery is that of untouched nature although I do have some glaring complaints:1) some parts of it is muddy with tracks as if there are planned construction to remodel the park2) some shrubbery and knocked down trees need to be cleared - I saw a little more than too many3) there's pieces of plastic trash that can be found littered around Rowlett creek4) and perhaps the most disturbing one of all, in my opinion, is seeing runoff drainage at the creek - made even more disturbing that the creek, while pretty, is lifeless. I saw not a single fish after staring at the clear creek for a long while. Now, that's scary. However, this park is definitely a good "people's park." There are fields and courts for multiple sporting events such as soccer, baseball, softball, and basketball. There are also multiple playgrounds for the kids. There's plenty of bbq grills flanking creeks, and plenty of picnic tables. And add the thought of insurmountable amount of open space - and it's easy to see why many flock to this park, making it beloved, bringing together people of diverse backgrounds from Richardson, Garland and Plano. If they work on improving habitats for wildlife and bringing their creek back to life, then I would surely give this beautiful and expansive park more stars. But for a bbq spot or a kite-flying spot, I can see myself thinking of this park first. Overall, it's a great park for the area.

This is a beautiful neighborhood park if you're anywhere near the Richardson area. I'd say this is kind of like the "White Rock Lake" of this area. You can manage a good nice long bike ride or run if you include some of the neighborhoods along with the park. I felt very safe running in the neighborhoods as well and there are a lot of nice homes to look at. There are also plenty of water fountains if you're here in the summer months as well as pavilions. It does kind of end up like a maze in a sense so perhaps take your phone with GPS so you know where you're going if you're unfamiliar. I enjoyed running out here though. There are a couple of little lakes and scenic parts as well. I'd would run out here again for sure in the event that I'm back out there visiting friends and such.

I have been here two times and both have been nice experiences. There's just enough people - parents and kids - to feel safe. I like how the park has baby swings but my only gripe is the playground not being covered by shade. I'm not used to the heat and sun since moving here. Don't forget to bring or wear sunscreen or come during off peak hours - before 11am and after 2pm.

My review is based on some of the walking amenities at the park, so please keep that in mind. I arrived on a Friday afternoon searching for a scenic half hour walk. The walking "trail", such that it was, near the lot I was in, is probably a golf cart trail or similar. It's paved and plenty wide, and part of it took me around a very nice lake with geese and ducks. There was a little elevation change, plenty of sun and a lot of peaceful. The restroom was decent, kind of a campsite style, with a commode that resembled a permanent porta-potty. It was clean and had paper, so that's good. The parking lot I was in was a gravel and dirt affair, but fairly smooth. Overall, a nice visit, but not exactly what I'd call a walker's paradise.

We came here for a picnic on a Saturday evening. The weather was fantastic, and we enjoyed our time in the park. Covered pavilion with the picnic tables did a great job for us. We enjoyed a breeze from the lake. Our kids were having fun on the playground first. They also managed to bike and play soccer on that evening. The park is huge... We would come here more often if we lived closer.

Lovely park, but not really a good park for walkers or runners. The layout of the sidewalk is a little nonsensical and all over the place. I feel like I'm just walking in random loops. I mainly go to parks to walk my dogs so a good walking path is the most important feature to me, and I don't like the way the path is designed here. However, this park does have tons of open space, which makes it much better for picnicking, playing a pickup game of soccer or football, flying a kit, things of that nature that require more space than what you have in your backyard. The park in general is pretty well maintained. It's in a nice and quiet area, and I always feel pretty safe going here. Overall it's a nice park, just not my favorite for dog walking.

Loved this park and I'm so happy to discover an amazing park nearby my house. The gazebo near the pond with grilling stations is definitely a plus!
