There are 3 of these, spread out north from Dallas, with a 4th opening soon in Allen, TX.The Plano, TX Bread Winner is a very large facility, right along Preston Road, south of the H.E.B.Parking in front, side, and back, level lot.Really big place, with full service bar, small counter seating at bar.Beautiful pastries, cakes, and artisan bread is on display at entrance.Hostess will seat you, a variety of seating options for all needs, The giant menu takes a while to read, it has breakfast, brunch, and lunch.I tried the Croque Madame, a warm egg dish like a large Benedict, with thick ham slices, and pan fried potatos. The base was a large slice of thick sourdough bread. Good flavors, the ham was tender & Juicy. The potatos, a bit burnt, but I filled up on the main part already. My partner got California Wrap, much like a burrito, and generous filling of chicken, Avocado, bacon, tomato, and greens. I got a good sample, it was tasty, as well as the sweet potato fries, which were perfect!Waitress was very pleasant & helpful. All the diners were age 40 & above, this has the Old School vibe, and old school classic menu. A bit pricey, not too high.

I've come to Bread Winners about 5 times over the last 2 years and the service is always hit or miss. Today was the worst. I came in looking for a seat at the bar and they were full. So I put my name on the wait list with the host. After a long time of waiting and seeing other groups of people with larger parties get seated before me. I asked where I was positioned on the list and was then asked if I wanted to sit at a high top. I had no problem with that but why was that not offered to me within the last ten to fifteen minutes? While heading to the high top table, I saw that there was an open seat at the bar so I chose to sit there. It took a while to receive my drinks, and I heard the bartender say that she was waiting for glasses to be cleaned. After a while I got my mimosa and was ready to order. I asked the french toast with cream and strawberries with a side of bacon, none of this written down mind you. The menu had the same dish I ordered but wth waffles, but I asked if I could sub with French toast, and was told that was fine. The menu price with waffles was $13 so i expected something around there for my dish. Instead my entrée was $17. Not sure why it was $4 more for plain French toast instead, but whatever. I got my French toast but waited and waited for the bacon. When I was almost halfway done with the French toast, I stopped the bartender to ask about my bacon. She then put it in register. She didn't admit to it, but it was obvious that she forgot to order it. I continued to eat and continued to wait for the bacon. When I was about 85% finished, I stopped her and told her that I didn't want the bacon anymore as it was too late. She said that it should have come out by then and that she "hadn't had a chance to go and check on it." If it had been put in when I ordered it the first time, this wouldn't have been an issue. The bartender immediately put down my bill and showed that she didn't charge me for the bacon, which again never arrived. Nearly $40 for a mimosa, an iced vanilla latte, and French toast with strawberries and whipped cream seems outrageous to me. The additional poor service was icing on an already unpleasant cake. If this has been my first experience at BW, it would have been my last. They were busy which I get, but the staff scheduling should have been adjusted to accommodate the Sunday brunch rush. I may go back again. I may not.

Two outstandingly delicious treats are worth your sampling at the Plano restaurant:-- Chocolate cream pie delights taste buds because of the rich chocolate and whipped cream.-- Mocha coffee hazelnut with whipped cream topping is as good s any dessert even though you could consider it "coffee." The coffee isn't cheap at $6.75, but worth it in my opinion. And when it comes to customer service, Patty, a Breadwinners' team member of nine years who has worked at all the chain's stores, went the extra step for us. She prepared the mocha coffee and remained a few minutes after her shift ended to serve us the to-go order.

Breadwinners was a mixed bag but mostly hit the spot. The chicken was cooked well, the jalapeño waffle was tasty but way too hard--next time, I'm asking for it soft. The stuffed French toast was the best dish it was really sweet tho. Cheddar grits, though? Overloaded with cheese, not my thing. Drinks stole the show--the strawberry lemonade was fire, and the espresso martini was good if u like coffee. Service started great but disappeared halfway through, and parking was open but a bit of a hunt. Prices were reasonable, so overall, it's worth a visit!

I'm so sad. Came here today and the food wasn't good at all. What's going on??? The chicken was disgusting! So disappointed on how this location has gone down the drain.

We visited this location for a family birthday celebration and made reservations for Sunday morning. However, at the last minute, some guests couldn't make it, while others showed up unexpectedly. We had one extra person which we made room for at our table. We apologized multiple times, but it seemed to frustrate the host (a younger boy). At one point, I noticed him pointing at our table and rolling his eyes while talking to his coworker. I understand being annoyed, but his behavior felt disrespectful. Honestly, I'm not sure I would return. The food was presented well, but the flavor was ok. I think the waitstaff was overwork or our waiter seemed to be. It just wasn't a good vibe.

We used to come here all the time, and it was always a fantastic experience. The service was great, the food was excellent, and our absolute favorite part was the complimentary bread--so fresh and delicious!Unfortunately, things have really gone downhill recently. The service is unprofessional, the food quality has slipped, and to top it all off, they now charge for the bread that used to make the experience so special. It's such a disappointment to see a place we loved lose what made it great. Not sure if we'll be back.
