Bowling alley? I used to bowl a LOT but not for years. Friends we were visiting suggested a bowling party, so six of us went, grabbed two lanes and had sort of a competition. Easy to get balls and shoes (mine were long gone) and the staff was friendly. It was embarrassing (for me). My 190 average? Long gone. My first game was like 85, but I did increase it to 140+ - guess I need to "get back into the game".Still loads of fun, nice "blast to the past" and everyone was nice while we were there.

Great place to relax and bowl a few games. The lanes are not perfect, but then neither am I a good bowler. But I had fun with friends and my spouse. Definitely would join all again if I'm in Dallas again.

Great atmosphere and great drinks! Great service. Wish the seating was different but overall cool intimate place for a date night or night with friends.

"Where do old movies go when they retire? Apparently, they lace up their bowling shoes and hit the lanes at Bowlski! This place is like the ultimate crossover episode between Hollywood and the bowling alley. I mean, where else can you knock down pins while feeling like you're in a scene from Casablanca? And let's talk about the drinks! I had a Deep Eddy Lemon mixed with lemonade that was so good, it should win an Oscar. It's like the perfect pairing for a strike - smooth and refreshing, just like my bowling technique (or lack thereof). But enough about the libations, let's talk atmosphere. It's like stepping into a time machine where the '50s collide with modern-day coolness. You've got the retro vibes of the historic movie theater mixed with the eclectic energy of a trendy bowling alley. It's like if The Big Lebowski decided to throw a party in an old cinema. So, whether you're a movie buff looking to roll some strikes or just in need of a killer cocktail in a seriously cool setting, Bowlski is where it's at. Just be warned: you might leave feeling like a bowling superstar, even if your score says otherwise. Cue the applause!"

Cool spot with retro vibes. I love that they preserved the historic Lakewood theater exterior. Much of the interior has been preserved as well. Me and my sister bowled for 30 minutes and checked out the upstairs area afterwards. My only complaint is that the place could use some sprucing up. The carpet is heavily stained, and the bathrooms have a bad smell that lingers in the bar area where they serve food and drinks. You can tell that this is due to the old pipes and not just a temporary smell. Pros: - Preservation of the historic Lakewood theater- Nice staff- Retro decor- Games upstairs (cornhole, ping pong, etc)- Small arcade downstairsCons:- Facilities are slightly dilapidated- could be freshened up- I wish their were more game options similar to what I see at other bowling alleys (skee ball, basketball, etc.)

I love this place! Great price point! I loved all the employees, they were all helpful and great!! I had the best time. I really love this basketball bowling ball, it's the perfect size and weight!! The music was the best! 80s and 90s with the music videos going. I loved the entire atmosphere.

Such a cool spot. Super laid back and fun. I would go every night if I could. There is a pretty decent bar and it's never insanely crowded. I love that it's in an old movie theater as well.

If you're a real bowler with your own ball AVOID bowlski's, Their ancient equipment just ate my brand new ball and the ball of another bowler. They got stuck in the ball return and they now have huge scratches around half the balls. You would think for $17.32/hour (tax included, "edited original post said 17.50") the equipment would be properly maintained. I was told that it was my brand new ball that was the problem.

Monday March 3 I went bowling with a friend, we each have our own balls and shoes. The ball return kept sticking so I grabbed a lane ball to finish my frame and hopeful get my ball back for the next frame. My friend rolled and his ball didn't push my ball and the lane ball out. The employee the counter went behind and unstuck the balls. The employee came to the lane and told my friend that his newly purchased ball was not right for the Vintage equipment. However my 50 year old bowling ball was also stuck. We only had a couple of frames to finish the game so we continued to bowl. The balls were not retuning therefore once again we again asked the employee to fix the equipment so our balls would be returned. This time both of our balls were returned with deep scratches. We took our balls and left. The charge of $17.32 per person for an hour of bowling is steep, and when our time was ticking away while we wait for someone to fix the equipment and return our property is ridiculous. And now our property is damaged by the Vintage equipment.

*** update ** Jennifer wtf are you talking about. We went to the bar, had drinks and left. Why you made up this lie I have no idea, take care of your business and grow tf up. the bartender was absolutely amazing. But when we first get there the lady at the front was just bitter. Didn't even care that we were there. Almost left bc of her attitude. Won't come back but at least we had fun at the bar.
