This is your quintessential hole in the wall in the best way. The food portions are huge and easily shareable. Almost everything we ordered was delicious. My favorite was the mixed platter that had a variety of dips. The warm pita bread with those dips was absolutely delicious. The sharwarma combo was good and the amount of meat we got was a lot. We shared it between two of us and still had leftovers. As someone who loves pickles, I loved their assorted pickles with so many different veggies. Service was friendly and quick. There's a grocery store attached to it as well if you have the need for it.

So glad my mechanic recommended this place! Our first couple of visits only consisted of beef & chicken shawarma wraps. But this last visit, we also had Falafel, Shawarma Rice & Cheese Pie.You can order take out at the counter, or just sit down to dine in. Food does not take long to arrive, after ordering. You will not be disappointed!

I when there on a whim because I was near by. As I was waiting on my food this lady was gushing about how good it was so I had high expectations. They didn't disappoint. This is the best shawarma that I have ever had. I got the combo plate so it came with chicken and beef. Both were amazing; so well seasoned. The hummus that came with it is incredible too. So good

Authenticity! Good food. Decent prices considering. Many of the locals favor this place. Restaurants get their bread from here.

Great food and great price-portion ratio! Would come again. Line and wait time is long and the chances of getting a seat inside is rare depending on time of day.

The one thing that I love about living in Richardson is that I can get fresh made pita bread any day of the week at Bilad's Restaurant and Bakery. I refuse to buy and eat the stuff sold at grocery stores in town. Nothing can compare to warm bread from the oven wrapped and placed on the shelf each morning. Go early though, because the secret is out. The shelf will be empty if you wait to buy in the afternoon. The bread choices are varied too. You can get Iraqi bread which has these pinched ends. I prefer pita bread, and they offer both white and wheat. They also have standard size pocket bread or these massive ones bigger than your face. I've had it all, and it is all wonderful. You can even buy prepared zaatar bread if you are too lazy like me to take one minute to make it yourself. FYI there are other goodies here too. You can dine in or take things to go. I had their beef shawarma today. It is served Iraqi style with the bread with the pinched ends. Its quite tasty. The baba ganoush was not my favorite because it seemed too moist/watery. The seasoning she put on top was not to my liking either. At first I thought it was cinnamon, but I think it was a smokey, sweet paprika. The combo of flavors didn't seem quite right. I dabbed the pita on the surface to remove the spice, and found the rest of the bab ganoush palatable. While not my favorite food place, IT IS MY GO TO SPOT FOR FRESH BREAD. I love the bread, and I recommend it to everyone.

This is one of the original halal restaurants in the Dallas area, and one of the most well known Mediterranean restaurants amongst the local community. Starting in Iraq in the 70s, a whole family brought tradition, quality and hospitality alongside their delicious recipes.Service here is exactly what you'd expect from a family operation, they know their entire menu well and can easily recommend tailored options to guests new and old. There's a self-service aspect to it, but that comes with the territory. The main attraction here is the shawarma, and trust me when I tell you, it's the best in DFW. Get there early in the day on the weekend, and you'll taste something you won't find anywhere else. For a few years they would sell out of one or both of their Chicken & Beef shawarma every day of the week. Plus their Iraqi bread is quite literally something you won't find elsewhere, because it's their recipe and made for their food. It's truly an experience of its own. From Iraq to Dallas, TX, this family has brought the best of their culture to the people of America, and alongside their bakery and grocery store, you too can partake in the culture. I only wish they would move to a bigger location where they could offer more seating, but until then I highly recommend you check them out!
