A little disappointed today. I come for the soup and today tasted different, a lot like Maggie soup, salty, not satisfied with it. Ordered the "aguita de sapo" and the pork was very dry, and tasteless. Tequeños were fried in old oil. Im giving it a 3 star for service, & restaurant was clean.

The Arepa de Carne Asada was so good! Very unique flavors. The Carne Asada was seasoned and cooked well and the veggies were fresh. This was my first time trying Venezuelan food and it was worth it. I'll be back.I took off one star for customer service. I understand that there may be some language barriers, however, a smiling face or a wave can go along way. I did not feel welcomed.

I came here for lunch with my colleagues on a weekday. We were a little confused seeing the other Big Yummy when we pulled up, but quickly realized that this was the restaurant and that was a bakery/market. When we entered, we saw a few people inside and two young women at the register. On the left side of the register, there was an area for pastries/baked goods. Most of the items were taken. When looking at the menu, we weren't too sure what a lot of the items were so a quick Google search helped. The young ladies at the front also explained what some of the terms were as we were unfamiliar. I'd recommend adding what some of the meats are in italics for more awareness. I ended up ordering a Pastelitos Queso and Cachapa con Queso. Both my colleagues ordered the Arroz con Chuleta (Rice with Pork). The Pastelitos Queso was basically a square block of salted Venezuelan cheese that was then fried. It was pretty salty and I was only able to finish half of it. Wasn't too sure if it's supposed to accompany something. The Cachapa con Queso was interesting. It was like a quesadilla made out of corn (sweet) and the filling was this stretchy salted cheese. I thought the balance of salt and sweet was quite nice. It was also very filling! The cheese on top was a little salty as well. Not sure how this would be with meat, but I'll give it a try if I go to another Venezuelan restaurant. My colleagues indicated that their meal (Rice, Pork, and Plantains) was good, but not as filling as they had hoped. One of them was still a little hungry. They were however pleasantly surprised. We all enjoyed our meals here and were glad that this was the restaurant we chose for our first Venezuelan restaurant.

We loved every bite of our food here. I got the carne mechada arepa. One is enough to be completely full. I was full half way but it tasted so good that I had to finish it. It is a little salty because I noticed I was really thirsty the rest of the day. Overall I recommend. Most people eating there were Venezuelan .

As a Venezuelan that just moved here from Miami, I can 1000% confirm the validity of the food here. The spot is nice and they have a separate bakery you could walk to that has a bunch of Venezuelan snacks. My only complaint would be the service because unfortunately, if you don't wave or stare the girls down, it's basically like you're not there lol. If you can put up with that, I definitely recommend this place
