Big Boi’s Chicken-N-Waffles

I live on the opposite side of town, so I decided to try these guys out. The establishment is in a store that used to be a Braums if I remember correctly. They have converted one side to be a convenience store and the other to be the eatery. People are nice and food is good.

FoodThe food here is absolutely amazing, it's a location where everything has a different taste and you'll need to visit several times to get a full idea of how it all taste. The portions are BIG I doubt you would be able to sample multiple things at once unless you're taking a single bite of each. The tenders are really big, the burgers are big also. Price wise the average is about $9-$10 for smaller order sizes and up to $25 for larger ones. ServiceIt's a small business attached to a convenience store so there's not a huge employee presence like a franchise location. There are usually 2 people working, both are very kind and will take your order and have good conversation with you. They're always kind to me each time I come and sometimes they're throw in small extras to make the meals even better.AmbianceLike I mentioned previously, it's attached to a convenience store so people are in and out, but their section has about 4 small tables setup where you can sit and eat and if you want a drink just take a few steps across the floor to the store cooler and grab something. Not a typical restaurant dedicated to their business, but the functionality and taste of food makes the ambiance irrelevant.Definitely check them out!

I tried Big Boi's for the first time today as I was looking for a good chicken joint that was non-commercial. I placed the order ahead and got to the place a bit early. The staff was friendly, hospitable and appeared to enjoy the work that they do. I bought an order of 6-pc wingettes, 3-tenders, and 2 pc. catfish for my family. The portion sizes were generous and the food was well seasoned. My only criticism is that the fish was a tad bit too salty for me (but the wingettes were perfection)! I also didn't get a jalapeño or pickles with my chicken basket, but it was okay since I took my daughter's from her fish basket. Overall, the customer service was exceptional! The food was on point and I definitely plan to return and try other menu items. Side note, even my husband loved it (and he complains about food often). He initially intended to eat "light" today, but he ended up eating the entire 3-tender basket, waffle and fries in one sitting. He said "tell Big Boi he didn't have to hurt me like that!"

You guys have to try this place out.. really good! I had the friend catfish with fried okra and it was delish!

This was my first time at this establishment. I didn't have any expectations since I was trying to find a place real quick after leaving work. I had the Catfish Sandwich and loaded brisket fries. I've shown what I received and what was advertised. I'll start with the catfish sandwich. The catfish is actually real catfish and not Swai which was a good thing. The catfish was fried perfectly and crispy. The grease did taste like it needed to be changed but the catfish was seasoned decently. A homemade tartar sauce or Cajun tartar sauce would make this a lot better. The loaded fries were really good. The brisket was juicy. The sausages were sautéed well and the bbq sauce was very good. The portion size was also very good. This spot is a hole in the wall but I respect it.

Fried fish, fried chicken and waffles, sandwiches and ribs. Been here a few times and is consistently good food. Every thing made to order so call it in if y'all in a hurry. Sitting inside the little market. No street sign buts it's there. Always friendly always HOT. It would be a five star with home made sauces buts the made stuff it's dang good.

I love this place!! At first when I got there I thought it was just a regular gas station but it's inside the gas station. The chicken and waffles are the best!! Highly recommend that entree. The fried fish is very seasoned and crispy. Food is very affordable as well. Customer service is nice and outstanding. 10/10!!!

So we were looking for find som good chicken and waffles on New Years Day and most places were closed except for Big Boi's!!! The food was fire! The chicken was crispy and the waffles were sweet with a touch of cinnamon and the perfect amount of butter! The Cajun mac and cheese turkey leg was pretty good too! Our kids got the breakfast sandwich was quite the whole time they ate so it was good! Everyone one very nice and the food was cooked fresh! Sorry I didn't take no pictures we were hungry and was enjoying the food to much to be doing all that! Thank you again Big Boi's!

$17 for 2 fish and fries?!!!? WILDDDPricey restaurants down the streets give you the same plus more for 9.99 lol

Pork chops were great! Excellent service as well. Will definitely return and explore the menu. 10/10
