so disgusted with this "healthy riser" because nothing healthy about someone else's hair being in your food.

This cute little cafe is in a typical drive up and park strip mall. It's located on Campbell close to 75, so it is fairly easy to get to. The inside is adorable. It's small, but they decorated to make it look like a cozy cafe. It has sturdy wood tables and chairs. Even though the brick on the counter base is just an appliqué, it still dresses up the place. The chalkboard menus are bright, colorful, organized, easy to read, and visually interesting. The shop had a variety of bagels to choose from. I went with a plain bagel and plain cream cheese. The woman toasted it for me and spread the cream cheese perfectly covering the interior layer, and it had the right amount of spread, not too thin and not overly dripping off the edges with every bite. It was a decent bagel experience. My hubby opted for an everything bagel with salmon, capers, onion, and tomato on top. He was in heaven because it's his favorite and some places don't serve it and other don't even know what it is!Initially I wanted to order a breakfast sandwich with egg and a sausage patty on a bagel which I thought was on the menu, but they didn't actually have that. There was something on the menu that seemed to be that, but when she showed me, it was actually a kolache looking pastry. Not what I had in mind. My husband said the interaction between me and the woman was weird. I agree. It didn't feel pleasant. Not bad, but just uncomfortable. I'm not sure if the woman and man, who appeared to be husband and wife, were having an argument before we arrived or if they just weren't morning people, but they didn't seem very happy. The vibe didn't work for me, and because of that, I don't plan to return. Such a shame too because we were their only customers on a Sunday morning, a rare thing anywhere in the DFW metroplex.

We sure will miss Benny's Bagels. The bagel sandwiches are always delicious, and the two main staff (couple) are kind and thoughtful. This place has felt like a family we go to almost every Saturday, with a cozy and homey vibe.

The bagels are really good and the service was really nice. The egg was really well done but that was my only complaint.

Bagel sandwiches, that hit the spot. What more can I say? This was the perfect meal to start off my Friday. We got a bacon + jalapeno bagel and sausage + asiago bagel. The bagels were warm and the cheese was perfectly ooey gooey when I opened them up at home. We ordered online and we're able to pick up very quickly. The couple running the shop are nice + as friendly as they need to be.I've seen reviews complaining that they don't make conversation. They run a bagel business not a friendship business. If that's not your vibe that's fine but don't expect them to be chatty Cathy's with everyone that walks in.

Cute mom and pop bagel shop! They make the bagels fresh in house and they are so delicious. I got a garlic bagel with bacon egg and spinach cream cheese and it was so tasty! The owners were sweet and made the order quickly.

After reading a number of reviews here, I wish to weigh in with my two-cents worth.I went this morning for the first time to this bagel shop. As I do love a good bagel and lox, that's what I ordered.I went with the everything bagel, the owner asked if I wanted it toasted, which I did, and I purchased a hot green tea and a large water as well.My wife ordered a veggie bagel, and a coffee. The food was well prepared, very delicious! We liked the ambience of the shop, with nice heavy duty wooden tables and chairs, it had an inviting and rustic feel to it.As to those grading the establishment down in their reviews and referencing the owners in a negative way, I have a few thoughts to say to that.My view in life, is that we put forth vibrations which come back toward us in a reciprocal way. If I go through life expecting to be catered to in a certain way, and if I'm going to be unhappy if my expectations go unfulfilled, then I have a hunch that my body language will reflect that mindset from the moment I walk in the door. From my perspective, I realize that anyone who opens an eatery for breakfast, is probably out of bed by 3 a.m. or so, and they're diligently working, while others are hitting the snooze button on their alarm. So the first feeling I have about owners of these small Mom and Pop businesses, is that they have my total admiration, respect, and heartfelt gratitude, for working hard, so I can have the privilege and convenience to walk in and eat a wonderfully prepared meal to my liking. This morning, I found that when walking in the door with that attitude in mind, the owners were convivial in their demeanor towards us. But some morning if they were to be a little tired, or quiet, maybe they're going through something in life, as we all do.Personally, I feel the one star reviews here that denigrate the owners, have more to say about those of you leaving those reviews, than they do about the owners of this establishment.A common thread I see in those reviews, is that your unhappiness stems from your own unfulfilled expectations. "The owner didn't treat me the way I am expecting and entitled to be treated . . . Blah blah blah, yada yada yada".Seriously?Perhaps if we try looking inward rather than outward, and display an attitude of gratitude, we may be able to find a soft place in our heart, and to those working hard to serve us, we could simply say ~ "Thank you".The lovely individuals who served us this morning live a life which has intrinsic dignity, value, and worth, and I had a joyful dining experience with them this morning! So for me, here's my rating:Food ~ 5 starsService ~ 5 starsAmbience ~ 5 starsMy bill subtotaled $24.11, and is usually my habit, I round up the tip at least 20%, so I tipped them $5.89, bringing the total to an even $30.They fully earned the 20% tip, I enjoyed a wonderful salmon bagel, what a blessing it is, that we can have the lives we have!I offer gratitude to the owners, and I will return!Sincerely,Keith A. Rude service is ridiculous how the service can give you a bad experience I ordered an early riser and noticed that they offered coffee great I did not have to make another stop. When I kindly asked the lady to add a coffee to my order she gave me the annoyed look. By the way the latte is not good.

The bagels here are made fresh. They prepare your order the way you ask for it. However when they cook the eggs all the ingredients are cooked into the egg and I really don't think they add salt and pepper for flavor. It is on every table and you add the seasoning as you like but .... It feels weird to have to add salt to eggs. This is a family business and the bagel does leave you feeling full. If you like a good bagel definitely worth coming here over a chain.
