Benny's Bagels

This place is good. It's a chain but seems to be supported by repeat business, which is always a good sign. The lox bagel was legit!!! Get it open faced for extra salmon!Will come back to try their pizza. This place deserves more than 3.5 stars.

I love bagels and bennys serves absolutely delicious bagels and spreads. The quality rivals that of good New York bagels and the prices are totally reasonable. The service is okay. They are friendly enough and it doesn't usually take that long to get our food out. The bagels are DEFINITELY the reason you are coming here though. The place is pretty beat up and could some TLC. The door is in rough shape, the layout is pretty bare, and the bathrooms are pretty bad lately. Also I have a baby and the changing table has often had boxes and stuff on it. Again, the bagels are so good I would easily rate them 5/5 but they really need to do a little work on the place to make it feel more comfortable to visit instead of just grab and dash.

Ok! I went back. I have not seen that old man who licked his fingers while preparing the bagels in a very long time. They actually closed that section of the prep area as far as I can tell. Maybe this is why....maybe fingers are still getting licked but out of site now. IDK. The bagels are so good that I'm fine with it at this point. We made it through the lockdowns and I guess some extra immunity may come in handy.Well-priced and will sale out so be prepared.Their white fish bagel and lox bagels are amazing. The salmon spread is sooo good too. That honey cream cheese....mmm...we buy it by the tub to bring home. My husband could probably eat it straight. The real quality is just their baked goods though. They do such a good job with their dough. I am really glad that we gave this spot a chance again because in the last year and a half it has become my favorite bagel spot.Each Mother's Day, my husband has to get up early and take the kids to get some some Bennys for breakfast in bed. It's now a tradition.I will say though...they do need to work on the bathroom....it could be cleaner...and they kind of use it as storage. The changing table always has boxes and just a ton of junk on it so there is no where to change baby. Please clean up a bit.

Great neighborhood bagel shop! Bagels are delicious and fresh! Staff was nice and friendly. Cute shop!

I apologize in advance but no pictures this time. This is one of the most embarrassing situations because my everything bagel with Lox and cream cheese and capers was hot and just out of the over. It was inhaled!!! Truly one of the most wonderful things I have put in my mouth in ages. I can smell fresh baked bagels and bread from the moment the door was opened. This place is a gem. Yet, they get busy and it can be a bit hectic when there are families waiting for food but the pizza's looked incredible. Everyone was so happy and not one plate wasn't devoured. NOTE Benny's Bagels on Frankford is a KOSHER establishment. You will not be able to bring in your own food or drinks. There is nothing made with Pork/Piggy (or any meat for that matter) Everything is made fresh on premise and their NY Water Bagel is still one of the best I have ever had. This is a family owned and operated establishment and the owner is highly engaged in it's success. My belly is full and I am smiling from ear to ear. Wish you all were here with me...********************HIGHLY RECOMMENDED********************

This place is a disaster! I was sure they had violations for cleanliness so i checked, but they don't. On the way in, the building looks old and tired, and the front door is rotting out. Inside trash is overflowing the garbage cans, the counters are dirty and cluttered, the plastic plants are atrocious and dusty, and the clock on the wall is broken. Plus, the baking area looks like it could use a good scrubbing.There also seems to be no process or division of labor between the two workers that were there. We saw the food being touched directly by hands as it was prepared. And some people seemed to come and go ahead of the line. Anyway, in spite of all this, they still do attract a loyal crowd of local Jewish clients. We waited in line for what seemed like forever but which was probably just 15 minutes... and when we finally get to the front of the line they tell us that they only have jalapeño, cranberry and blueberry bagels. It would have been nice to let everyone know that in advance instead of making us all waste 15 minutes for our lives... Our quest for the best bagels in Dallas continues, but we didn't find them here!

Great bagels and challah!People are friendly, and we've never waited too long for food. Classic feel; smaller space. Closed on Saturdays. Go! You'll enjoy.

I go here all the time on my break when I'm craving a bagel. Their service is great just like their sandwiches! As their shop is so spacious too! Definitely recommend it!

The food was very good and they served a bagel with cream cheese and lox and onion and it was the best bagel I've ever had in my life! The service was amazing also! 10/10 would recommend

Amazing authentic bagel shop. The food was delicious and the service was fabulous. People were rude and saying it was run down...it is HOMEY! I love it here. Grateful for an authentic Jewish deli and they are kosher
