Benders Sports And Spirits

(From August 2024)After the 311 show at TU Centre or whatever that venue is, I got the munchies and a hunkering for some beers where there are tvs. YELP brought me here as this place was on the way to my hotel.Walking in, it's a dark atmosphere so it's a sketchy appearance. I kept to myself and found a spot at the bar in front of the tvs. Got some wings and tator tots with a few large miller lites. The food is alright, nothing to rave about but it does the job in filling you up and giving you something to munch while you're cheering on your team or watching a UFC fight. The tab was reasonable so I'll probably be here again since it didn't break the bank and was a better option than buffalo wild wings.

Great local sports bar with plenty of TV's in any seating position. Wings are some of the best around. Lemon pepper and sweet Thai chili for the win.

Great bar to watch a game. The staff is friendly and it was actually fairly crowded. They have a number of TVs and will put any game on that you would like. They also have good food selections along with a multitude of beers on tap.

Melissa was our waitress and did a phenomenal job! Food was hot & delicious, as ordered. Definitely coming back.

Benders is an amazing low key bar. I live within walking distance. Been here probably around 7 times, they have every day specials, $5 shots very day and for me food is important. Let me tell you, I've tried the fried pickles and they are crispy, not soggy, and overall good. (Get a side of Buffalo sauce).On mondays their OG burger is $5.00. Delicious! On thursdays and Friday's their one topping pizza is $5. I'm telling you for cheap food it's actually really good. The people making it care for the food and it shows. Wednesdays they have $5.00 sandwiches and I mean all. Everything I have tried is actually really good. The bartenders recognize me and remember me and they are all cool people. They have so many TVs where you can watch any Dallas sport. Don't come if you like an opposite team. Come on now. Let's go Mavs! Let's go cowboys! Let's go stars! Rangers I admit we suck. But seriously check these guys out they are awesome!

After spending some time at this place of biz...over 1.5 yrs, I've come to realize theres some shady shit going on here. And the bartenders don't mind taking advantage of you. I cannot support a local biz who's purpose is to bring one another together in our community, and then take advantage. Thought I'd found a great local place, I've been mistaken, unfortunately.

Decent place to watch a game. The food and drink menu are pretty good. $5 unique shot specials, beer and mixed drinks were priced appropriately. The fried pickles, burgers and wings were great. The only thing I didn't like was the train whistle they blew for every Cowboys TD. We'll definitely be back to watch a game soon.

Went to watch the SMU Clemson game for the ACC Championship but they had all TVs in a UFC fight. The Penn State Oregon game was also on for big 10 but they were only concerned with showing the UFC fight. At least 20 tv screens in this TEXAS SPORTS BAR and they were only concerned with a UFC fight. Other people showed up to watch our local boys play for SMU and we were told they could put it on one screen but no sound. What the actual hell? We all left and went to another bar. So much for neighborhood sorts bar supporting our local boys. Never again Benders! I'm out.
