Bearded Monkey Sports Bar& Grill

Probably one of the best places to watch football. Screens everywhere so there does not seem to be a bad place to sit.Waitress was attentive and nice.Queso with beef had a kick (for someone who doesn't care for spicy).Chips were good (not salted).Long dog was good.BBQ and bacon grilled cheese was yummy! Bacon was cut into small pieces which was something I wasn't sure about.Tater tots were overly salted.Fries were crispy and good.Burgers looked good but did not order.

The Bearded Monkey is a great spot with a chill atmosphere and a friendly, welcoming vibe. The staff was amazing--our server, in particular, made us feel right at home and even shared some good laughs with us, which meant a lot since we're new to the area. While the food was just okay and not something I'd go back for, the drinks and fun energy make it worth a return visit. Definitely a place where good times are on the menu.

This is a newish sports bar. They have pool tables, tons of tv screens with a large variety of sports on. The food is descent. Plenty of adult beverage options. I believe the karaoke is on Wednesday night. There is a second location in Rockwall near Ridge Rd and Horizon. Go.

The service is always wonderful. Today I tried the new potato skins. They were good. What would make them great would be a lot more "melted cheese" not just a little sprinkled on cheese and then top with the bacon, sour cream, and green onions. More cheese is my point. But flavorful none the less. 7 out of 10. Always a great value.

Long week at work. Wanted to go out for a quick bite and a couple of drinks. The Bearded Monkey is not too far from home and always good for a drink/bar food.

Its 5 minutes from my house, perfect place to watch a game or just unwind. Yesterday I had the Frito Pie appetizer ($8) and it really hit the spot !! Classic junk food here folks - frito's with chili, fries, onions, queso, and a nice dousing of hot sauce. Wasn't hungry enough for a burger or pizza, have eaten and bar-hopped here plenty, never had a bad serving of anything. Will be back to watch NFL very soon (tons of screens, tons !!)

Place is honestly pretty good. Quite a bit of beers, not not a lot of craft beers. They have a little patio for people to sit on, which is nice. They were pretty quick with ordering and getting the food out. I wanted to try out the burgers here because they looked really good and they are. Burgers were really good and sides exceeded my expectations. Appetizers were very good as well. They have some homemade sauces too, such as spicy bbq sauce and ranch. They were all good and tasty. I'm sure they have more, but didn't ask. Not sure why people are knocking this place, but I'll be back for another burger.

Decided to check the bearded monkey for Sunday afternoon football, and it def didn't disappoint. The apps were delicious and the chili cheese fries brought back nostalgia from the chili cheese fries served in high school.Didn't get to photograph the entrees but the spicy chicken sandwich was good! Their Buffalo sauce is unlike any I've tried, tangy and just delicious. We also ordered the lemon pepper wings and I felt like it could have used more seasoning.. waitress was Corei very attendant despite it being busy. The ambience was welcoming as I seen several people walking in,greeting each other, makes me think they def have been here before :). We'll be back again

Stopped by to check out the new Monkey in Lavon. Nice setup, has all the new place smells to it and a wide selection of beverages with multiple TV screens. Should be great for watching televised sporting events. There's 3 pool tables but no one was using them at the time. I didn't get a chance to try the food, but they do seem to have wide variety of comfort food to choose from.Few cons:1) Parking is going to be a problem. I went by around 2pm and took my laptop to get some work done. I got the last parking space available. When I went inside it was not crowded at all, so the other businesses in the strip mall were also needing parking space. Hopefully better when the other businesses close for the day.2) They do have Wifi, but the music is pretty loud, so not a great place to try to get any work done, and way too much country music for my taste. Some dude was sitting next to me practically yelling at his friend and belly laughing constantly. I finally had to leave and go to Starbucks so I could hear myself think. 3) They only serve draft beer in these tiny little glasses and they are EXPENSIVE. They are the smallest glasses I have ever seen. 10oz maybe? It looked like a kid's sippy cup to me. My normal spot serves beer in small, pint and pitcher. I won't be going here if I intend to do any drinking beyond a couple of beers.It's good Lavon finally has a place to sit down and catch a cold one, so hoping this place works out okay. If they could fix the beer situation I would probably set up camp, but as it stands I will most probably be visiting intermittently.

Staff very friendly and quick response! Drinks were good ! Burgers were very good , great onion rings. Only complaint is I asked for ranch and had to pay for it., thought that was odd!!
