I LOVEEE this restaurant!Whenever my bf and I are craving seafood, this is our go-to place! Their customer service is excellent - everyone is so kind and on top of everything from when we sit down to when we pay out.We always get the AYCE because why not?! It's about $40/pp with tax or so, drinks are included (sodas, not alcohol. Sorry alcoholics!), add-ons like boiled eggs, potato, corn, sausage, mushrooms, etc. And even French fries included! Ugh I love potatoes so don't even get me started on that! You order 3 rounds max - but each round you order as much as you'd like. Amazing. The restaurant itself is a cute sailboat-like environment that seats many guests. Just like your typical seafood place! We've ordered their crawfish, head-on shrimp, mussels, and blue crab (when in season), cajun french fries, boiled potatoes, mushrooms, sausage, and corn.I always get the garlic cajun seasoning in mild to medium spice level and it's the perfect level of spice without burning my booty hole. Mild is too mild and medium is a wee bit too spicy for me, so they accommodate my neediness very well :)Their seafood always comes out perfectly cooked! The crawfish and shrimp is never rubbery. I absolutely love their shrimp - it is to die for. It's plump, sweet, and delicious. Sometimes the potatoes come out undercooked, but that's an easy fix.The only bad thing is that the seafood comes out piping hot, encased in thick bags with that thick garlic cajun butter just marinating the seafood so lusciously... that we wish we could just dig in right away but we'll risk burning our fingers and mouths :(Sometimes I just say f- it and burn a finger or two because it's just THAT good!I can't say enough great things about this restaurant. I'm from Southeast Texas and we have lots of viet-cajun fusion cuisine there, so when I moved to Dallas, I could barely find anywhere to satisfy my cravings! That was until I excitingly came across Bear Bay Seafood

This is my son and daughter-in-law favorite seafood place. Make your own boil by selecting your spice level and what you want in it. Then be ready for the mess. I would like to have a small plate to eat off but it seams to be that everyone eats off the table and out of the big boil bowls. The carnage after was amazing but it was all delicious.

I came here for a big birthday dinner for my aunt and left very disappointed. The place was empty when we arrived on a Friday night at 7. That should have been a sign. The entrees came out before the appetizers- some entrees came out 10-20 minutes AFTER others at the same table. The waiter was no good at clearing the tables and bringing out things we would ask for. When I approached the bar to get someone's attention, I saw our waiter sitting down on his phone. I usually don't leave bad reviews, but this restaurant experience needed to be acknowledged.

This crab is DELICIOUS! Came here with a girlfriend and got the crab smothered in seasoning and butter.. medium spice level. The crab was reasonably priced at $24.99 for two clusters. Their sausage is superb as well.

AYCE prices with a list to choose from. Ooooo La Laaa! I no longer live in the dirty south, so having crawfish is a treat for me now. For $37.99, you may feast on crawfish, shrimp, mussels, clams, baby squids, or blue crab. You can accompany them with corn, potatoes, sausage, boiled eggs, mushrooms, or broccoli. A drink is also included. You're limited to 3 rounds, but you can order as much as you want within those 3 rounds. Example: 5lbs each round to satisfy your cravings. Their menu is extensive but good. If you don't want seafood, there's grilled or fried platters, wings, oysters, and appetizers. The service there was pretty good since one gal was running the show. She had the help of a food runner, but that was about it. She handled it like a boss and was still very pleasant to work with and knowledgeable. I really enjoyed their NOLA style since I've been having a lot of Viet Cajun. I love spicy, but I didn't want my lips burning, so I got the medium. Over time, spicy gets too spicy. The 13 spices is good too. Almost like a Thai basil stir-fry kind of taste. Definitely come give this place a try before the season's over and feed your soul!

Craving some unlimited live crawfish, shrimps & sides? This is the perfect place for you!It has become an annual tradition for me to visit Bear Bay during the season for their AYCE live crawfish option. The prices have gone up since 2021, but I'm not complaining. They offer a regular menu as well as a buffet option, so you can either order by the pound or try to eat your money worth. Each person cost $37.99, and it includes THREE rounds of food, but you can order as much that you want.I usually eat around 9-12 lbs by myself, so I get like 4-5 lbs the first round and then another 4 lbs. I never hit the 3rd round limit honestly. The reason why they're doing that is that they don't have enough servers to cater to everyone, which is understandable. They added a 13 spices flavor, and although I like the seasoning, it was a little bit too oily. It's pretty similar to Scezhuan hot pot broth. My favorite seasoning is the Cajun, and I usually get medium or spicy. It has a good kick, but sometimes it can be too salty or dry.The service has improved over the years, and I think they recently changed management too. Our worker was super friendly and explained everything, even though she was serving 6+ other tables on a Saturday night. The AYCE option now includes drinks, so you don't have to pay $3 extra for some Coke or lemonade. They offer the AYCE option throughout the entire year, but only during crawfish season (late-Feb to July?) that they serve LIVE CRAWFISH. My boyfriend loves shrimp, so he just orders shrimp for his meal. There's also the blue crab option, but I've been here so many times and it's never available. I always call to check too and it's always "we're sorry, someone ordered 15 crabs so we don't have anymore". I love their corn, sausages, and potatoes. It's definitely a stomach filler, but it doesn't feel right to eat crawfish without them. If there's seasoning at the bottom of my bowl, I just let the sides soak in the sauce and eat them at the end. They serve the live crawfish in big metal bowls now, instead of just handing you a bag. They also have plastic gloves on the table so you don't get your fingers too dirty when peeling. Overall, it's a nice place to get my crawfish cravings fixed, but the sauces are nowhere to Boiling Crab level. Save your stomach and give this place a try because it's worth the price. I'll probably try to visit on a weekday next time so hopefully, they'll have blue crabs available. They also take reservations too which is pretty nice if you have a big crowd!

I was pleasantly surprised with my visit and thought their pricing was really fair, especially if you choose the all you can eat option ($38/person max of three rounds). We ordered 9 lbs of crawfish and 2 lbs of shrimp with added sausage and corn... in their Cajun mix and volcano spicy level. It was really good! The size of their crawfish were big compared to other restaurants in the area. We added some other foods off the all you can eat menu to try. I thought their salt and pepper wings were good as well as their sweet potato fries. Overall I had a good experience, but did notice they restaurant is understaffed. There were only two waitresses last night for the entire restaurant and one food runner... so plan to wait a little bit for your food. They were trying their best! I would say a must try if you're in Plano!

This place is honestly really yummy and super value. It's a really cute spot with a stage for live music. Service was great both times I've gone and food has come out relatively fast. The seasoning on their crawfish was really flavourful and the crawfish was fresh. Fried stuff was average but I think the thing to get here is the broil.

Roaches are real, they have a roach problem! The floor was sticky, table was sticky. We did not dine and dash, we didn't even ask to talk to the manager because from the other reviews, it seemed like they would just blame us instead of owning the responsibility themselves. First, it took like 40 minutes before we actually got our food even though there were only 2 other smaller tables with customers. They were not busy at all. While waiting for our food, there was a roach crawling up my friend's foot. Gross! We were given only a set of the utensils for crab legs, they said they only had one set because they lost them all, even though a few of us ordered crab legs. Then they brought out one single pair of scissors for the rest of the us to use on crab legs. There were 5 of us.A couple of us got mushy crawfish, a friend actually had stomach problem all afternoon after eating there. The reason that this is not 1-star is because my snow crab legs were actually not old. I'd rather pay a little more at The Boiling Crab which is sooooo much better and not have the possibility of having roaches in my food. Will definitely not be returning.
