Barrel & Bones is a fantastic spot for a first date. The atmosphere is just right - before you even walk in, you're greeted by a delicious smoky aroma that sets the tone for a great meal. The patio is perfect year- round and inside, soft, romantic lighting, makes anyone look good. It's never hard to get a table, and the bar is gorgeous, with an impressive wall of whiskeys and other liquor. As for the food, the menu has a lot of great options. I love the brisket grilled cheese - it's one of my favorites. The buffalo deviled eggs are tasty, but I'll bit heavy on the dill. The fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese are absolutely over the top, and if you're in the mood for wings, the monster wings are smoky and massive - three will definitely do the job! The smoked buffalo cauliflower is another must try. The only slight miss for me was the French dip, where the meat could've been a bit more tender. Overall, this place is a great pick for a date night just a solid meal out. Definitely worth checking out!

The worst BBQ that I have ever had. The fries are average at best. Mac n cheese tasted like it was from a box. The pulled pork comes pre sauces and is terrible. The brisket had no flavor at all. The portions were incredibly small. For $60 between two people... I'm super pissed off.

The appetizers and drinks were spot on delicious :). Burger didn't really taste much yet was made from brisket, so I'm surprised there wasn't more flavor. Our server ended up being the manager cause I think the waitress was new and overwhelmed. Manager was very polite and knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks (but he was the manager, so I'd expect no less, lol). This was the first place I'd been to that tried to gouge on tipping. They might need to pay their staff more if they need the customers to give 35% tip to their staff. We probably wont be back unfortunately, cause it was a decent place and open late, but I'd have just gotten drinks if I'd known they'd make me feel bad for not giving 35% instead of the usual 20%. It was around 8pm when we went so it was quiet and not very many people. Clean and lots of TV's.

Usually, when I order a brisket plate, its contents alone usually satisfy my appetite. If it was not for the fried okra, the amount of brisket and the slice of Texas toast would not have satiated me. The pickles and red onions must have meant to be garnishment.Unfortunately, I did not realize I was overcharged for the beer until I was home. When I ordered my beer, I pointed to the YuenglingTraditional Lager on the printed menu priced at $4.50. On my bill, it shows Yuengling Flight Draft at $6.50. Fortunately, I only ordered one glass; otherwise, the overcharge would have been multiplied.As for the service, there were several regulars at the bar. Sadly, the bartender paid more attention to them. For instance, she never came to check on me to ask about the food or if I needed anything else.

I stopped by the Colony location because I had time to kill before I met up with some friends at another place nearby. It was not busy at all on a late Saturday afternoon - around 5pm. Walked right in to a sign that said seat yourself. I was not greeted until I sat down at the bar and the bartender spoke to me. I mentioned this because the people that came in after me were greeted energetically. Yes, it makes a difference. I knew what i wanted to eat because I had already scoped out the menu online. I'm here for the smoked wings folks! I did take a few moments to decide on a drink. During this time the servers were pretty much huddled at the side of the bar chit-chatting and gossiping. This continued for most of the night. Eh. To accompany the smoked wings I'd been stalking, I ordered the chopped salad and asked for the dressing on the side - it was a blueberry vinaigrette and I wanted to taste it before my salad got drenched in it. Also ordered the Fancy AF cocktail without the egg white. Everything came out pretty timely, again, it wasn't busy at all so I had no issues there. They forgot to put the dressing on the side but that was okay because I actually liked the flavor and it wasn't super soaked. Listen, the chopped salad was amazing! The candied pecans were the added crunch/sweetness I didn't know I needed in my life! Wish they would've chopped the onions as well but pretty solid and filling salad on its own. Now the wings. THE WINGS. I asked for them crispy and these wings had the perfect crisp to them. First bite sent me to Smokey flavor heaven. The wings are legit. They're served with buffalo & ranch dipping sauces. You don't really need either but the buffalo sauce is definitely kicking. I enjoyed my meal and drink and would definitely come back to order the same exact thing. Seems like a nice spot to post up and watch some games when the cowboys or mavs play. There were tvs everywhere in the main dining and there looked to be a side area with pool tables etc. Definitely a place to hang out and chill.

I am new to The Colony and I love BBQ. So this was a spot I had to try! I was welcomed by the sweetest and very knowledgeable bartender that could give you the best advice for whiskey, bourbon, and food. Cordé is AMAZING. Everything you want in a server/bartender. She asks how you are and how your day is going, she genuinely cares. There is a reason why she has the day shift. She kicks butt! Please come to the colony and see her! I cannot talk better about this place! Also a shout out to Omar, Alyssa, and Sarah. They are all fantastic! Definitely a must! I recommend the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the Mexican old fashion!!!

Ordered this from Uber Eats. This was literally some of the worst food I have ever had. It is an embarrassment to call this BBQ. Even the Mac and cheese and Cole slaw were awful. Do not go here.
