Looks can be deceiving and I am glad they were! This place is a little gem!I was shopping for plants at the nursery around the corner when I overheard some people talking about their lunch here so I checked them out. It was not much to look at either inside or out. They are in a converted house, and have been open for over 40 years and honestly I am not sure much has changed. But when you got something that works, why NOT stick with it?I ordered Vegetable Egg Rolls and Pad See Ew. Both items pretty much rocked it! If o lived closer this would be a go-to for me for sure!

The food is authentic and the portions are generous. My two (male) companions were able to finish their meals, but I didn't and was offered a box to take home the leftovers. The Thai fried rice was even better the next day. I will be back!

My boyfriend and I picked up dinner from here yesterday. The Thai dumplings were yummy and the dipping sauce for the dumplings was amazing. He got the green curry which was a little spicy and good! I ordered the Tom Yum Kha soup, it wasn't spicy enough but the flavor was good. The portions were nice. A great easy night for takeout!

Amongst all the takeout Thai spots this side of town, Bangkok Inn has been our new favorite.Their green curry fried rice was out of this world! No literally, like local Thai street-food levels of flavor. Order two of these as these will go fast, especially for Southern families that love a little kick in their dishes :)

I love little neighborhood restaurants (hole in the wall). But the food here isn't good. I started with vegetable spring rolls. They tasted burned, and if I wouldn't have known that carrots and celery were in them, I would have never guessed. Everything inside was a nasty dark brown color. I ordered basil fried rice with chicken. It tasted awful. I found a couple of tiny, tiny bites of something that may have been chicken. Sorry to say, but I won't be back.
