Atheneos Greek Village Cafe

Stopped here on Wednesday. Ordered a lamb Gyro with fries and a salad. The place was empty except for the 2 Hispanic ladies (employees) who were sitting near the register eating.The owner came out and spoke to me while my order was being prepared.I took my food and left. Got to the car, opened the Gyro, the fries were good, fresh from the fryer and well seasoned but the Gyro was DRY AND COLD.My salad had a LONG HAIR in it. Nearly $30 for a Gyro and salad that I couldn't even eat. Never again.

Very first time visiting this location and food was amazing! Service was great and establishment very clean. Gyro was delicious. Can wait to be back to try different things in the menu.

Went here a while ago with a friend and this is what we ordered: Chicken Gyro, Grecian Chicken, and for dessert, got Galaktoboureko. My friend ordered the chicken gyro and she liked it overall, but said that it tasted a little dry. She would have liked a sauce or something to go with it. She loved the fries and said that it tasted great with salt and pepper. The chicken dish I ordered comes with chicken breast, rice, lemon sauce, and pita bread. It was so flavorful and such a filling meal. I've never had Galaktoboureko before, and I'm so mad it took me this long to try it. They make it with layers of phyllo, filled with custard and topped with their syrup. It was so yummy and I can't wait to have it again! It wasn't super packed when we went, so we got our food pretty quick. Service was great and everyone was so friendly.

Meat dolmas cooked perfect and the calamari...wow...soft and perfect. The young lady was incredible as a waiter and host. Top notch Greek food. Looks like a cafeteria when you walk in, but the food is beautiful. Wow. Nasiba, the server was above nice and so very attentive. I dropped my knife, and within seconds, she brought a new set without me even asking. She sees everything and really cares about this business. Overall almost a 5....pretty darn good place, relaxing, laid back, great food and Nasiba puts it almost to a 5. 5 for her, 4.5 for everything else. Very impressed

The Food, the service and the ambience is what give Atheneos 5 stars. We are always greeted & seated immediately by one of the friendly wait staff. The food is always fresh and delicious every time we've been in. The owner always stops by to check in how we are doing and see if the food & service is good. We will continue to stop in and enjoy this quaint little Greek restaurant every chance we get.

Went to Athenos for lunch today... delicious Greek food!!! Manny the owner, pulled up a chair and gave my daughter a wonderful pep talk. You want authentic Greek food and a friendly atmosphere... go here!!! Peachtree and Gross. Sherry or waitress, the best!!!

Oh wow! I wanted so desperately to love this place. My order gyro had no tzatziki and the veggies saw better day. The soup was inedible and the appetizer burnt. This meal came to 42 bucks. None of it tasted good. The waitstaff meh. The place itself clean. But hardly surprising since there were no patrons there.Edit to owners response:1. It was a to go order placed after an incredibly long day, I had no idea it'd end up in the trash bin.2. I called your store and it just rang and rang- it seemed that your staff isn't too keen to answer your phone. 3-your response again shows you are incapable of seeing what is wrong here. Your food is terrible and your staff don't care.This pun is intended-apparently you need to stop resting on your laurels. Your restaurant is producing inedible food and your staff meh-they show up and convert oxygen into carbon dioxide. but it was pretty clear they'd rather be elsewhere. You could fix this- but that is a you issue.

Definitely try the spicy feta dip!! Everything we ordered was delicious. The owner checked on us and was super friendly. The staff was prompt and attentive. We will be back to dine in and to pick up large orders for parties. Highly recommend!

Great food, great atmosphere always very attentive to their customers. I enjoyed the Gyro platter but will 100% get the Lamb Chops next visit.
