Aso Rock Restaurant and Lounge

I had catfish, spicy red sauce and spinach on the size, my favorite. The ambiance is alittle dark but ok for me, the service is great, the bartender was very welcoming. It's not in the best surroundings but if you can handle yourself very well then you'll be fine.

Located inside an African food market, they have a place where you can buy hot prepared dishes. If you like spicy food, Ewedu & Amala is definitely the dish for you. This is a really big portion, enough for two or three people. Seasoned perfectly, served nice and hot. The Amala was soft and has a smooth mouth feel. I loved it. This is some great African Food. Thank you so much.

I've been to this restaurant twice and absolutely enjoyed the food both times. First time, a friend and I shared pepper soup and pounded yam with vegetable soup. This time, a friend and I shared jollof rice with peppered goat and a side of fried plantain as well as pounded yam with vegetable soup. The jollof rice was a hit and we finished it in no time. It really scratches the itch if you're craving Nigerian food and staff are nice enough though service can be slow and the music is too loud. That said, I would go back again.

HORRIBLE!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!! I came here at 11 they took my order at 11:25 we asked for everything to-go 1st they gave us our fish but we told them it was for to go they said it was fine and went back to the kitchen we then waited UNTIL 2AM

We catered Aso Rock for our team meeting , and WOW! The food was amazing and the team was so polite .The owner Ane thanked us and hand delivered the food .We will definitely be using them again .I highly recommend them !

I'm sorry but I have to stand on my tried and true! I have been coming to Aso for YEARS! And the food NEVAH disappoints!Could they use some work on the customer service side, yes! Have I wanted to cuss one the cashiers out, and had to politely remove myself from the situation before I exploded on her before, also yes! But with the good there is always the bad. The yin always the yang. That time that I wanted to swing on the rude lady who walked away, midsentence, while I was ordering my food, I had to mind my manors and remove myself. I couldn't possibly get banned from one of my spiciest, tastiest, most consistent and sometimes even good for a night out, west African spots in Dallas. Tsk! Tsk! Respect yourself!Aso rock definitely may try your patience every once in a while, but flavor wise, I have never been disappointed! Matter of fact, I rode the DART from cityplace to LBJ/SKILLMAN station, New Years Eve 2020. I picked up Egusi or ogbono (I can't remember which one now) with chicken, pounded yam, a side of spinach and probably Moi Moi (if I know my carb loving self), hopped my happy butt right back on the train, and SMASHED! The night was finished with lots of fireworks off turtle creek, but the real fireworks were the bursts of flavor from one of my staple spots!I should call Gordon Ramsey on y'all to whip y'all into shape, but I wouldn't want him to mess around and change the menu!Anyway I have said enough! You get it! Don't expect the service of the ritz and you'll be thoroughly pleased. Expect amazing food time after time and you'll be A-okay!P.s. this is the only place in the city, that I know of, that will let you split soups. (I,e; half Egusi/okro, half ogbono/efo , half ogbono/ half okro (you must love the slime), etc. ) which makes this spot even more top tier.

Good God, don't come here and don't order from Uber eats either. It took more than two hours to get my food. My courier said she waited 20 mins for them when she arrived because they weren't done making my food. I completely understand African food takes long but the ETA time was already giving 80 mins. That's more than one hour. I hope they don't pound the yam with every order

First, I was missing items from my order that was over $50I start eating everything the beef is so untender and hard and my other soup didn't even have any beef I highly do not recommend this African restaurant!

Both rices were perfect and the beef was well seasoned. I wish they had puff puff on the menu, but their plantains were good as well.

Phenomenal food, excellent service, and quality vibes. Highly recommend if you love good food, personable but professional service, and occasionally entertainment as well. I love Aso Rock is definitely the place for me if I'm looking for authentic Nigerian Cuisine!
