Shockingly delicious! We got a fancy goat cheese apple flatbread pizza with cauli crust and it was amazing! My husband got chicken and waffles, and it was delicious too. I got some light hibiscus brew by Anvil and even though it's not something I would normally drink it was good. They were out of their IPA and that was the only downside. Great food without the snotty people! Will be back and already told my neighbor.

We went on what appeared to the poker night. It was very good and we tried some good mixed drinks and several local beers. I ordered the Ruben pasta. It was delightfully weird and exactly as explained. A Ruben sandwich converted to a pasta dish. I was not a big fan BUT that is my taste. They did a great job on it and it was prepared perfectly.

Ordered an appetizer as soon as we sat down - it ended up coming out with our food. What is the point of an appetizer if it comes with everything else? Didn't even want it at that point. Server tried to apologize but she could have at minimum taken it off the bill after waiting 30 min to get any food. There were two other tables and the excuse was there's only one cook. We ordered the jalapeño dip, which shouldn't be that difficult. When we finally got our food, it was subpar. Not worth the wait for what you get and how much it costs. Sadly disappointed. :(

Honestly it's just not good... We ordered the jalapeño dip, the brisket burger, brisket mac and cheese and the brisket grilled cheese.The jalepeño dip was the best thing we had. We ended up not even eating any the brisket mac and cheese because it honestly was that bad. The service was nice but the vibes were off, there were flys everywhere and overall just would never come back or recommend:/

It was a hot day in June when we meandered into this joint. It wasn't much cooler inside...PLEASE get your a/c working!!!The atmosphere is a mix of bar and family dining. Our server was amazing! She recommended several dishes, which we ordered. Some were a hits, but some were strikes. Cracklins with spicy pimento dip was delicious. The fried chicken sandwich is good but not great. Patty melt was solid, but the fries could be crispyer. Coleslaw was good and the cheese beer dip was killer!Dessert was their carrot cake and a frozen brownie sundae...both very good offerings!

My brother and I just left this place,Each of us had 1 drink a piece. Simple jack and coke for each of us. Thinking of our father, on Father's Day,.......the bartender........whom is barely older than my oldest child......cut us off after 1 drink a piece...........,No wonder this place is dead!!!!!!!!Lived here for over 8 years, when this place was just a volunteer fire station for Royse City, for which the bartender didn't even know the building's history. I had to educate and inform her!I would absolutely LOVE to speak to the current owner before this place folds under like the Biergarten that was down the street!AS A FIRST RESPONDER MYSELF, I WOULD ADVISE ALL THOSE THAT CONSIDER THIS PLACE........TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE IF THE SAME YOUNG LADY THAT IS BEHIND THE COUNTER TONIGHT IS SERVING YOU!The young lady working today.........simply needs to find a different profession!Simple as that!This was my first experience coming in, and I promise you.......it will be my last. Today's date was 6/16/2024. We just left, and whomever was the bartender, needs to find a different occupation! This was my first experience with Anvil Brewing and I must say I am impressed! I ordered the Texas Burger and it was EXCELLENT! The burger was larger than my head and came with a healthy portion of fries that were seasoned with salt and fresh cracked pepper. Not only was the burger patty huge, but it was loaded with so much shredded brisket that I could have made two sandwiches from the brisket alone if I wanted. This burger was perfect in every aspect. I can't wait toTry other menu items from this restaurant! PS: I could barely eat the half that I cut because it was so much food.
