Anaya’s Seafood Scratch Kitchen

How could I have almost missed writing a review for such a great seafood restaurant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area? Anaya's Seafood Scratch Kitchen is consistently superb. I return because of their consistently good food, service and overall experience.Entering, one is greeted by several friendly servers and a comfortably cozy atmosphere. The food was consistently delicious, with its freshness, flavor and perfectly cooked dishes. The high quality and care put into each dish is obvious in its flavor, from seafood platters and grilled fish to their specialties.Anaya's is the perfect choice for seafood lovers who want amazing flavors, generous portions, as well as consistent quality. Highly recommend!

Love, love, love Anya's!!!! My friend brought me here and after just one meal, I was so excited to come back again asap. So, I brought my mom when she came to visit for a few days and she enjoyed it so much, she wanted to eat at Anya's almost everyday! The cream of poblano soup is to die for. But honestly you can't go wrong with any of the soups. We are so glad they brought out the little soup flight sampler because I would have never known how good the clam chowder and poblano soups were. Seriously, the poblano soup is so good I'm required to bring some home when I visit for Thanksgiving AND Christmas. The specials are always so delicious but don't miss out on what's on the menu! No matter what you order, you're going to be happy. And the drinks are perfectly made. Service is always great, they have a very friendly staff and they give nice suggestions! If you love seafood and Mexican cuisine, this is a must to visit!

Food incredible. I had the bourbon street red snapper and it was amazing. Our waiter was perfect, and service was so so quick. I couldn't believe the amount of food they gave us. Check out the blackboard for specials! I also love how long happy hour goes on for.Also, found a kitten in their parking lot. More like she found me...

Went for afternoon lunch. Got the fried calamari, the boiled crawfish and peach cobbler. Loved everything! Our server, Jessica, was very friendly and we really appreciated her.Will definitely return!

Excellent meal and the service was wonderful. I ordered grilled shrimp fettuccine. The order came out very quick and was cooked perfectly. I didn't even have time to finish my $5 house margarita. The portions were good. I brought home a nice portion of my fettuccine, but ate all of the shrimp. The only negative point in the evening was the people waiting to be seated were standing right beside our table. There was no other place for them to stand.

Cozy little seafood place with good service and daily specials. I wish I could review their regularly available dishes, but I find something tempting on the specials menu every time. A flight of mini margaritas is a fun way to start your meal - they're beautifully garnished and come in a variety of flavors. I enjoyed a hearty portion of shrimp with scallops and spinach recently - delicious! Salmon with a Greek yogurt and dill sauce came atop a nice bed of mixed greens - both healthy and satisfying. Tuna poke bowl was packed with flavor and nourishing veggies. Ask for a booth for a more intimate experience.

If you're looking for great seafood, you've found the right place! I've been to Anaya's a few times and it always hits the spot. I really enjoyed the cedar plank salmon on my most recent visit. Although not pictured, you do not want to skip on the fish and chips here! Our server was great and even offered us samples of all the soups so we could see what we liked. The catfish po'boy was super satisfying as an appetizer. They really surprised me with how good the pasta was, too! The portions are huge and well worth the money. Make sure to visit on an empty stomach!

1/25/2025First time visiting Anaya's and I was very pleased! I started with pineapple Agua Freacas w/ free refills (4.95) and for an appetizer I had a cup of the gumbo ($5.95). The gumbo was very good with shrimp and chicken and okra but the serving size left a little something to be desired. For my main course I had a the fried oyster po boy. The oyster were perfectly and were very tasty, the French bread it was served on was mediocre at best and I would prefer shedded lettuce instead of the leaf lettuce it was served with. All in all it was a good sandwich and I would definitely return.

This restaurant seems to be very popular but understaffed. While waiting for my table to be ready, everyone I asked coming out of the restaurant gave glowing reviews of the food. You will wait for a table and food to arrive, but I enjoyed my choices. Dynamite shrimp is a great appetizer, and my favorite entree so far is the bourbon red snapper with crawfish Etoufee served on top of a generous piece of cornbread. This was a chef's specialty featured on the restaurant's giant chalkboard. I will go back. I will try the lunch menu to see their other tasty dishes.

I vow to edit this review and add more photos because Anaya's is one of those restaurants that the food is always gone before I stop to take a picture, and I take my food pictures very seriously. We go to this Anaya's all the time and they are truly what I think of when I think of a great all-around restaurant. The food is delicious, consistently. The service is fast, and great. The atmosphere is lively but not so much that you're yelling over one another. Again, We love Anaya's! We frequently order the chef specials, always good, and rotate through the menu for our favorites. Try: the watermelon margarita, the fish and chips, the red snapper, AND don't sleep on the soup! The poblano is out of this world!
