Divey Taco and Mexican (not Tex-Mex) with charming and accommodating staff and lots of tables inside for dining in.I got tacos: 2-each Chorizo, Trompo and Barbacoa, with generous helpings of diced onions and cilantro, and two table taco sauces (chilled) to drizzle on. They were very good.Parking is a challenge in the area so carpool

Small authentic Mexican restaurant. Visited for brunch on a weekend with some friends. There is parking located in the back if the front spots are taken. We were a little confused about how the service worked when we walked in, but it is a sit down restaurant. Our server was friendly . The food was very flavorful with big portion sizes! For the tacos, they provided a lot of cilantro, onions and limes! Would highly recommend this place. Prices were great too.

"Hey, don't let the neighborhood scare you off! This charming little mom-and-pop joint is like finding a diamond in a pile of gravel, and trust me, it's absolutely delicious!"

They have chilaquiles here!!!! If you don't know what that is, it's like nachos with salsa verde instead of cheese and comes with sides. It's very spicy so be warned. Usually chilaquiles has chicken but they offer beef here with eggs. There's different variation. I got the carne with no huevos (eggs). So freaking good! The music is loud and the lady barely heard me ordered.

Truly an authentic hole in the wall! The ambience is a little gritty but the service was wonderful! Fresh handmade corn tortillas! My meal was filling and reasonably priced. Ready to try the Pozole next!

We ordered a Shrimp Cocktail, Gordita de Carnitas, and Tacos de Carne Asada and de Pollo con arroz y frijoles. Let me tell you this place is as good as it gets without actually crossing the border!!Where do I begin: the tortillas are handmade and homade and that alone deserves recognition for the tacos and the gorditasThe salsas are spot on (the red one being spicier than the green one but that's my type!). The Carnitas were juicy and simply complimented the masa of the gordita The shrimp cocktail had an excellent taste as well. One of the best hole-in-the-wall places in Dallas and def the best one in Oak Lawn. Don't let the outside fool you, the food makes up for it 10 times fold.As a full-blood Mexican i approve this place Haha.Price for 2: 30$

Waitress with bad attitude, tables were dirty and they just opened. I guess I can give you more time to decide, just because I was not ready when she came back with my drink. Then I ordered and she said, we don't have it and will not have it for a while until they cook some more, so, if you don't want something else. I paid for my watermelon water and left.

Second time coming here. This time eating here. Barbacoa tacos were good, served inside homemade flour tortillas. The homemade hot sauce inside the tacos kicked them up a notch. Ordered the taco plate tho, and again, another Mexican restaurant can't get the beans down. This time, they were cold, tho I'm thinking serves hot they would be pretty good. Rice was so-so - needed onion and more cumin. Coming here you're in the last bastion of 'old' west Dallas. Parking is limited and at night time I'm not sure I'd feel safe. Otherwise, as a daytime haunt, it's close and convenient.

Tried this on Saturday night based on DMN review saying they were BYOB and had a Hildago specialty BBQ lamb on weekends. Both were true which is not always the case with DMN.1/2 lb. lamb plate ($9.99) was more than I could eat and came with a bean lamb broth, tortillas (choice of flour or corn), chopped cilantro and onion. Wife had the chicken enchiladas. All was good.Again following advice in review we brought ur own wine glasses. No corkage charge.Service was good with some language issues. Credit cards accepted. This is a real find until the Yuppies ruin it.
